Jimin witnessed his mother collapsing on the floor. His father with his red eyes glared at her. The alcoholic lady glanced at her husband in disbelief.

" Are you insane? You dared to hit me?" she screamed.

" Bitch , I am warning you. Keep your mouth shut or get lost. I will mind my own business. I can hit you whenever I like if you don't listen to my decisions. I am your husband , remember that."

" Huh? So you expect me to not react when there is this corpse lurking around our house?"

" Listen woman , I will manage it. Don't get too ahead of yourself thinking that you are my wife. I never wanted you anyway. If you are so upset , file a divorce. What do you understand about my job , you alcoholic? "

" You want a divorce now...." She laughed sarcastically as she got up.

" If you are smart enough , you would know I mean it. Leave this house as soon as you can. Don't even think of taking Jimin. He's gonna be my bait. "

"You bastard! Don't even put your nasty eyes on him ! He's my kid , not yours !"

" I don't care who's kid that troublesome thing is. Just leave him here. You won't be able to do any good to him either. Don't think too much about your level. "

" I decide whether I keep him or not. You haven't even taken care of him even once. "

" I don't get from where you get these ideas from. This is why women should remain in the kitchen. Get lost before I choke you. "

" There you go again with your sexist comments. Why did I even agree to marry a filthy bastard like you who has no idea of how the world works?"

" What?" Jimin's father cried as he grabbed Jimin's mother by her hair.

She screamed in pain as he dragged her to the corner of the room. Jimin watched everything as his eyes moistened up. He sniffed as tears dropped from his eyes. He felt helpless.

Jimin's father took out his belt and started attacking hie mother. His mother cried her heart out since she had no power to protect herself.

(A/n : At this point , I feel like it isn't something uncommon. Domestic abuse is prevalent till now. )

When he left the room , Jimin's mother was full of bruises. Her pink gown was red with blood. That monster had not left any part of her untouched.

Jimin rushed out of the room and squatted infront of her.

" Mother!" He cried as he held her hand.

" Go study. Don't worry about this. It's okay. I am okay , son. Just remember that I love you.  "

She struggled to get up. Nancy by that time had come out after hearing the chaos. She helped her get up.

Nancy forcefully made Jimin go back to his room on his mother's order. He was locked up so that he wouldn't be much scared. But that scared him even more. He couldn't concentrate on anything. His hazy sight wasn't going away too. He sat on his bed and stared outside as he waited for Nancy to arrive.

It was the first time he had seen his mother getting beaten up. He didn't know why he was going through all this. He wanted to escape. This was tiring him out.

The corpse was missing too. Where could it have gone to? Trying to get hold of a new prey?

He needed to find her himself. His sixth senses told him that something bad was going to happen soon. There was the sounds of  footsteps and muffled voices outside.

Jimin opened the window. All the servants were gathered up in the hall. They had a worried expression playing on their faces. The town doctor entered with a hurried pace. One of the servants took him towards his mother's chamber.

Jimin tried to listen to the gossips of the servants.

" Do you think she will survive?"

" Her injuries are quite severe. I didn't know it would turn out like this."

" The husband is a monster. Who hits his wife like this? "

" Pst.... She isn't some good woman too. Don't you see how much alcohol she consumes in a day? I never liked her anyway. Serves her right. "

" This house is really weird. Who brings corpses like this? I fear this house will be cursed for centuries."

" We should just resign. We would be in danger too if we spent more time here. "

" I agree. "

" I pity the kid. He is still a small child."

" Unlike his parents , he is adorable. I wish he were my child. I wouldn't treat him like that."

" He is always in his study. C'mon children of his age should go out and play with other kids. "

" You think he would be allowed to go outside?"

" Such a bad luck."
