" Young master ! Young master Jimin ! Please don't run around ! You need to eat your food !"

" I don't want to !" cried the infant as he made his way towards the garden. The day was gloomy and dark. The sun hadn't given its attendance properly. It was hidden behind the clouds.

Jimin had no wish of chugging down the disastrous food made by his nanny. His parents were out of town which gave him the independence to have a little fun.

It wasn't that great to grow up under strict rules and supervision. He was a free and cheerful  soul hidden under his obeying character. He had always agreed to the dominance of his parents and their wishes.

He rubbed his hands to provide some friction. It was winter. The possibility of rainfall had made him worried. He hated rainfall during winter. It just added pain to the already freezing weather.

He bent down to see how his rose plants were doing. It hadn't been long since they had their first bloom. The abandoned garden looked better with those bright coloured floral ornaments.

His eyes widened with shock when he noticed that they were drying up. His eyes got misty. He had planted them with his own hands and called them his friends.

" Young master ! What are you doing there ? "

" Nancy ! They dried up ! " He sniffed.

" Oh my ! Don't cry young master ! They are going to have new ones soon ! "

Nancy took him in her embrace. The little boy emptied his heart in her bosom. The forty year old nanny wondered how he was such an innocent kid even after being disciplined harshly years after years.

She felt bad for him. He was such a precious little child. Being childless , she had taken up the job of a nanny. She had served several households for over fifteen years but she hadn't crossed paths with someone this lovable.

His eyes resembled the wings of a bird. And oh boy .... The way he smiled ! His eyes would turned into small crescents and his baby teeth full on display.

His small little hands which always caressed every injured little thing he would find. Be it a hurt pigeon or a trampled ant. He would make sure that they get back their ability to fly and walk again.

And the irony was that , his own little wings were cut off since birth. Or was it he never had it ?

The high class aristocrat father of his was always going around to investigate any paranormal activity. He was a rough man. He had a vinegar temper. His room was always full of books and weird things.

Tails of lizards , fur of cats and smashed ants. He would always engage himself into making potions and spells which people doubted if they actually worked. Jimin feared him. His red eyes terrified him.

On the other hand was his mother. She was an alcoholic lady. The fact that her husband was always busy with his stuff had made her go into these stuffs. She would always lie in her bed suffering from hangovers and sprouting nonsense.

The character trait of her which enraged Nancy the most was her ignorance and disgust towards her own child. She had a controlling addiction towards him. She wanted to control every single action of that little child.

She would lock him up in his room to prevent him from going outside and making friends. He kept him inside all day and stuffed him with books that were too hard for him to read. She wanted him to be homeschooled as she didn't want his only son to be like his father.

She wanted him to only know her . As for nanny Nancy , she was there to  watch his every step whenever she was at her bed suffering from the side effects of alcohol.

Jimin cried. She always disciplined him with violence. His back had red and purple splotches. His hands and wrists were always hidden with long sleeved shirts.

And today Jimin was experiencing a somewhat independence since he wasn't in his parents' grasp. He wanted to enjoy every single second. They were out to attend a marriage. They probably won't return till midnight. He was exploring the whole house. He didn't have a chance to do so . After eight years , he was finally free to roam around.

" Young master , we should go inside. I think it would rain soon !" exclaimed Nancy noticing the trails of lightning spreading across the darkened sky.

Jimin looked at the sky . She was right. They needed to head back inside to a avoid being soaked.

Holding her hand , he slowly walked towards his room.

" Aren't you going to eat ?"

" Nancy I don't really feel like it... I want to enjoy my holiday... " beamed Jimin.

" Where would you like to go now ? Upstairs ?"

" Yes ! The hall ! I really want to go to the hall. "

They had a really big house or to be more specific , a mansion. Jimin had never been there. At the hall.  He just remembered getting a peak at it when he was trying to go around the house when her mother was asleep at night.

The hall was dark then. He had caught a glimpse of the big statue of the angel which was situated in the middle. His fascination didn't last long. His mother had sensed his absence and had followed him.

The last thing he remembered was being beaten really hard for sneaking out in the middle of the night.

He wanted to go there so bad.

Nancy followed him as he climbed the chairs enthusiastically. Nancy unlocked the lock of the hall and let him inside.

Jimin gasped in wonder.

The statue he wanted to see for so long was infront of him. He walked towards it. The statue was really a piece of art. The angel was weeping. Her long hair reached upto her waist. She was holding a sword and was sitting on her knees.

Her expression was something words won't be able to describe. Her tears and eyes reflected pain but her lips represented joy and happiness. Her neck was tightly buckled with a chain.

" Nancy do you know what this  statue  means ? Why is it's expression so mixed ?"

" I don't know.... I am not much educated Young master. You would know better than me ... You read books all day afterall. "

" Nancy , knowledge and experience are some things which can't be trapped into mere things called books. They don't always come to you through the arrangement of words and letters. It's something we all have more and less through different means. "

" True... I guess your parents are the best example one could provide. Their character would have been so much better if books contained everything. "

Jimin sighed and a smile crept into his face. He sat down on the floor. The sky rumbled with thunder.

" It's pouring outside. " exclaimed Nancy as she peeked through the window. " We came back at a good time. "

Jimin nodded and faced the statue. The sound of the rain filled the room. There was total silence. Nancy had taken a sit too. The smell of the wet soil was the only thing Jimin liked about rain. It somehow calmed him down whenever he felt under the weather.

He wanted the day to last forever. He wanted to let go of all his worries and stare at the statue. He had taken a fancy towards it. The mysterious statue had so much to offer which the books in his rooms couldn't.

He lied down on the floor and closed his eyes with his hand and legs spread on the cold marble floor.

" Young master ! Don't lie down there ! It's dirty !"

" Don't worry ! It's clean ! The maids do a really good job in keeping every corner of our house clean and tidy. "

Nancy decided to not bug him much and let him have his moment. It won't last long. His enjoyment.
