"Manik! Manik!" Nyonika called out in the utterly dark house. It was unusual. The clock already was striking 4, it was technically a new morning but, for her, this night was long- from the college's reputation on stake with Talent Hunt, then Manik's red handed catch on her and then this deal. At the end, she benefited the most, but she still felt tired. Well, she knew Manik was taking off his vendettas as he was literally  making his mother run around for homework. 

She called out Manik a million times but there wasn't a response. Why on earth did she expect him to answer, she didn't knew herself. She decided to go upstairs to his room  and found the room locked. She knew he was inside and making a fuss out of things. He couldn't win, she wanted this one to be in her pocket. 

"Manik! Open the door! I know you are inside." Nyonika screamed from outside. 

"You're late Nyonika. I am asleep. Don't you want to sleep? What will people say when they see you with baggy eyes tomorrow?" Manik yawned from inside. He was loving it to irritate Nyonika and truly, he wanted to see her face right now. But, this was nothing in front of what she had done. He had to wait for the real game to begin- slow. 

"Manik! Stop this childishness just do this and get it over!" Nyonika aggravated.

"Nyonika, I just realized your worth. Let me relive my childhood with you, mom! I want to learn again. And it's not that there is a deadline for tomorrow on this!" Manik teased her. 

Nyonika knew she had lost her chance but, she could always create more, she though to herself. She gave up and moved to her room to take some rest. Messing with this boy, she knew, was worthless right now.

Manik heard the retreating foot steps and muttered to himself, "How childish! Nyonika get ready to chicken out of my life. You know I love chicken-tikka!"
