(Y/n) was always a quiet kid and it's not because she chose to, it was because she's mute.
So here we are in our first week in the Pink Palace, you and Coraline explored the house together.
Your parents both asked for Coraline to bring (y/n) along to explore and Coraline agreed much to her dismay as long as you stayed out of the way, she was happy and wouldn't threaten to leave you by yourself.

Coraline had found the little door
And disappeared every night until she came back in the morning telling you about the experience she had with the dream.
She was warned many times about that little door. And even Mr.B had personally told you to keep an eye out even if you were silent you still had stronger senses than speech.

You'd tag along on the shopping trips with Mom and Coraline and have to hear Coraline bicker about Mom locking the door to keep us safe and stuff. It kind of relieved you, but later that day, you and Coraline were supposed to stay out of trouble, but Coraline couldn't do that.
She wanted to see if that world behind the little door was real.
You secretly hid the key as you knew she'd find a way to get it when it hung from the kitchen door frame.
"Okay. I know you have it, (y/n). Hand it over."
She saw that you were a bit suspicious looking and saw that your hands were hidden behind your back.

You vigorously shook your hood.
"Hand it over, or else."
You weren't scared what she did to you, but something inside you just wanted to take the bluff.
"(Y/n). Hand it ov-" she was interrupted by the sound of a key being swallowed whole into the younger child.
"Did you just-"
You shook your head.
It was for her own good.
You smile and walk away leaving Coraline in the kitchen.
