Coraline is originally from Marseille France, and not Paris like everyone else is. She went to a private school since when she was very young. Everyone knew her, but she was always...different from her classmates. She always looked dark and some might say creepy simply because she likes to wear dark clothes.

When she was six, she asked her Dad if she could learn to play the harp, since she found the music to be very beautiful, and she wanted to make something so beautiful, too. So, she had gotten harp lessons, and she was really talented at it. At four, she had started learning the flute.

Her Dad got a new job in Paris, working for Gabriel Agreste, and so they were uprooted from their life when she was twelve years old and she went to the same school as Adrien Agreste. At the new school and setting, she had felt really nervous. Before at her old school she was always teased because of how she dressed, but when she got there, she got bullied more by Chloe and Sabrina, lowering her self esteem even more.

Between the move, the new school, and she new bullies there, Coraline developed a very low self esteem, and she thought very little of herself. She didn't play her music out in the open, cause she was afraid of being made fun of even more. So, she just played her harp and flute at home.

She would eat lunch by herself, up until Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Alya had come over to sit with her after Chloe had made fun of her and she ended up having a nice time, and overtime, she became close friends with both of the girls and Alya invited her to her house often, and after awhile, she had even shown them her house and when they saw she had a harp, they asked her to play. And she did, playing one of her favourites A Whole New World by Aladdin.
