Dallon's POV

Brendon had figured out how to put on a black shirt and the red pants, but the shirt was unbuttoned, and a vest and a jacket lay on the floor.
"Alright, c'mere." I said, pulling him close so I could button his shirt. My mind wandered to when we got home and I could take the same shirt off of his small body.
Brendon giggled, putting his hands on my shoulders. "I-I'm excited a-about our d-date!"
I smiled back at him, swiping the vest off the floor. I pulled it on him, and he whimpered a little, tugging at the clothes. "Th-there's a l-lot."
"I know, sweetheart, do you want something different?" I asked.
"N-no, I-I like i-it." He said. "It's pr-pretty." I kissed his neck, biting at the skin a little. He whimpered, then giggled, putting his arms around my neck.
I grabbed his jacket, but he stopped me. "Baby, what's the matter?"
"I-I wanna p-put it on f-for you." He said, giggling more. "I w-wanna see wh-what you th-think when I-I'm d-done."
I smiled. "Okay, baby, I'm gonna go get ready too, I'll be in our room." I gave him a soft kiss on his lips, then left the bathroom.
I turned around and nearly screamed. "Hey, man! What's up?" Josh asked, standing very close to me. "I see someone else's in the No Shirt club."
I rolled my eyes, sighing. "Why'd you have to sneak up on me like that?"
"Sorry, I was gonna go in to see if I left anything in there, and why're you wearing nice pants?"
"Bren and I are going on a date, I found a nice restaurant type thing." I said. "Hey, should you, Ty, me, and Bren double date sometime?"
"I'm down! I'll ask Tyler." Josh said. "Speak of which, I'd better see what he's doing, probably working on some project or something." I nodded as the yellow haired man ran off.
I went back to my room, putting on the rest of the black suit Brendon had picked out for me. I looked into TV since there was kinda a reflection so I could fix my hair. I fluffed it up a bit, giving myself a quick smile.
I heard someone gingerly knock on the door, and knowing my friends it wasn't one of them. "Bren?"
"Y-yeah." He said through the door, giggling softly. "A-are you r-ready?"
I smiled. "Yeah, turn your back to the door, then we'll both turn to look at each other, okay?"
"O-okay, D-Dally." He replied. My heart was beating so fast, and my stomach was churning. Was this how couples feel when they do first looks at their weddings? I sighed, trying to calm down a little as I opened the door, looking at the floor so I didn't sneak a look at him.
I quickly turned around so our backs were touching, both of us laughing a little. "I'm nervous."
"Wh-why?" Brendon asked, giggling softly. "C-can we t-turn now?"
I nodded, spinning around to face him. I saw him blush and smile, and my eyes widened as I saw him. He looked amazing, and he had done his hair so it was fluffy but lay back. "Baby, you...you look so beautiful."
"Th-thanks, D-Dally! Y-you do t-too!" Brendon exclaimed, wrapping his arms around me. "I-I love you." I smiled, nuzzling my face into his neck.
"You look so amazing, Bren, I love you too." I said, lacing our fingers together. "Alright, let's go on our date, okay?" He nodded excitedly, as I grabbed my wallet.
We walked outside to my car, and I froze. I didn't know what to do, I didn't want our suits to get messed up, but I didn't want to ruin our date by riding in the car. "Baby...um...what do you wanna do?"
He tilted his head to the side, then pointed to the car. "I-I'll g-go in the c-car." I nodded, kissing his hand. We got in my car, and I saw that he was nervous.
"Baby, it'll be okay, I'll drive kinda fast so we'll get there quicker, okay?" I said, and he nodded, holding my hand tightly. I turned my car on, and I saw him flinch a little. I squeezed his hand, driving pretty quick so he didn't have to worry.
We got to the restaurant, but I gave him a tight hug before we went in to calm him down from the car ride. "I'm sorry, I love you." I said softly, kissing him. He hummed a little, nodding. We broke away, my arm around his waist.
He smiled up at me, as we walked into the restaurant. He moved closer to me, seeing a good amount of people inside. I tightened my hold on his waist, my fingers digging into his suit.
"Hi! How many?" A young looking girl asked, smiling widely.
"Just two." I said, planting a soft kiss on Brendon's temple. He smiled, putting his arm around me also. The girl smiled, leading us to our table.
"Okay, do you want any drinks? We have some wine, water, beer, almost anything."
I looked over to Brendon, who was staring back at me. "We'll both have water if that's cool." She nodded, walking away from us quicker than I had expected.
"Wh-what's the o-other stuff sh-she said?" Brendon asked, messing with the ring around his finger.
"Just some alcohol, it's kinda gross and weird, but it's okay." I replied, looking over the menu. "What do you wanna eat, Bren?"
He sat up a bit, looking over so he could see what I was seeing. "I-I don't know wh-what any o-of this is." He said, pointing to all the different kinds of food.
"Well, Josh told me they have lasagna here, and it's pretty good. It's basically a lot of noodles, cheese, and sauce on top of each other." I said, trying my best to explain this to my boyfriend.
"Th-that sounds g-good." Brendon said, as I unwrapped the plastic straw that the girl had brought us. I saw his face go white when he saw it, and he began whimpering.
"Baby, what's the matter? Is something upsetting you?" I asked, holding his hands. He nodded, pointing to the straws on the table. "What's the matter with it?"
"I-I had o-one stuck i-in my t-tail, in b-between the s-scales, a-and Atlas had t-to pull it o-out, and it h-hurt a l-lot." Brendon said, flicking the straws away. I didn't want to think about a small piece of plastic getting stuck in my boyfriend like that,
"Baby, I'm so sorry, you don't even know." I said, leaning over the table a little so I could get closer to him. "I feel so bad."
"It's n-not your f-fault." Brendon said. "A-Atlas one t-time got a b-bunch of st-string wrapped a-around his t-tail, and K-Kai had t-to cut it o-off without h-hurting him."
I had never thought of all the junk on the beach hurting animals, let alone merpeople, but I guess it did. The girl walked back over to the table, so my thoughts about litter flew from my mind.
"Hi again, can I take your orders?" She asked.
"Sure...uh...could you take these away for us, please." I said, handing her the straws.
"Sure thing, what do you guys want?" I quickly told her what we both wanted, which technically was the same thing, but whatever. She nodded, giving us another quick smile. "Okay, I'll be right back with that!"
Brendon gazed at me, smiling. "You're so p-pretty, D-Dally." I smiled back at him, holding his hand, playing with the ring on his finger.
"You're prettier." I said, putting my other hand on his knee, my fingers creeping up his leg.
He gasped, then giggled softly, as my fingers made their way up his thigh. He moved his body down a little so I could have more access to him so my shoulder wasn't under the table. I pressed into his inner thigh, and he slammed his hand over his mouth, covering up a moan I guessed.
I removed my hand as I saw the waitress walk back over. "Wait till we get back home." I whispered, and he giggled again.
"Okay, guys, here's your food!" She said, placing two large plates in front of us. "Be careful, it's kinda hot."
We nodded, and I saw Brendon touch the plate gently, pulling away quickly. "I-it's hot!"
I chuckled softly, holding his hand. "The girl told us it was gonna be hot."
"I k-know, I j-just wanted to ch-check." Brendon giggled, starting to eat his food. I smiled back at him, gazing at the ring he wore. If he had worn my ring that I had given him as a gift, would he wear one as a promise? A promise to be mine forever?
"D-Dally, are you g-gonna eat?" Brendon asked, squeezing my hand. "Wh-what're you th-thinkin' about?"
I smiled, a blush rising up my cheeks. "Nothing, sweetheart, just...just a few different things." I picked up my fork, but when I tried to put the food in my mouth, I stabbed myself in the cheek.
"D-Dally!" Brendon exclaimed, cupping my poked cheek in his hand. "A-are you o-okay, b-baby?"
"I'm fine, sweetie, I'm just being stupid." I said, putting the food in my mouth this time.
"Y-you-re not st-stupid." Brendon said, rubbing my leg gently, but removed his hand quickly.
"Baby, why'd you stop, I liked that." I said, trying to grab his hand under the table but not finding it, so I put my hand back on the table.
Brendon looked into his lap, blushing. "I-I'm yours, o-only you c-can touch m-me like th-that."
"Baby, you know I'm not like that, you do whatever you'd like to me, touch me any way you want, I won't force you to do anything, darling." I said.
He nodded, smiling a little. "Okay, D-Dally." He had basil in his teeth, and it was kinda funny. I leaned forwards, quickly wiping it off. He giggled, both of us finishing up our dinner.
My mind wandered back to rings and such, and I began to worry, all the 'what ifs' clouding my thoughts. I felt Brendon tapping my chin, trying to get my attention.
"D-Dally, something's w-wrong, isn't th-there?" He asked.
"No, sweetie, there's nothing wrong." I lied, guilt filling my heart. I shook it off, trying to change the subject. "You ate your food really fast, baby, you were hungry."
He smiled. "Y-yeah, I g-guess I w-was!" He tilted his head, looking at my still semi-full plate. "Wh-why didn't you eat?"
"I just wasn't that hungry I guess." I said, taking a deep breath. "Bren, what do you think about forever?"
"Wow, great set up there, Dal." I thought. "Totally nonchalant and innocent, sounding like a fucking hallmark movie."
"F-forever?" Brendon repeated. "Wh-what about it?"
"Would you want to be with me forever? Be mine?" I asked, my hands shaking a little, not daring to look him in the eyes, terrified of what he would say.
"Of course, D-Dally, I l-love you." He said sweetly, holding my head in his hands, pressing his lips on mine. I felt all the tension leave my body, his touch making me feel amazing.
"I love you too." I said, waving the waitress over so we could pay and leave. "You're wonderful, baby."
"So are you." Brendon giggled, not letting go of my hand. I paid quickly, then got up, both of us walking out.
We got home quicker than I expected, but then again I had been speeding. I heard Josh and Tyler playing music in their room, and I got an idea, pulling out my phone.
"Wh-what're you d-doing?" Brendon asked, as I pulled up a fun, yet kinda sexy song. I held his hand, twirling him around, putting a tight grip on his waist. He giggled softly, moving his hips a little.
"You're adorable." I said, spinning him around again, making him laugh even more. I wasn't good at dancing, and it was Brendon's first time, so we both moved awkwardly together.
"Wait, let's try something." I said. "You trust me?"
"Mhm." He replied, as I let go of him, still holding his hand.
"Spin." I said gently, and he did, spinning into my arms, and I tried to dip him. He instantly slipped out of my arms, both of us falling on our bed, my legs hitting the wood.
We lay together laughing, our legs dangling off the bed. Brendon's head lay on my chest, as I ran my fingers through his hair, messing it up a little. He giggled, moving so he could look at me. I fumbled with the buttons on his bright red jacket with my left hand, since the other was still in his hair. He giggled more. "I h-had fun w-with you."
"I had fun with you, baby, I love you so much." I said, finally getting his jacket off, as he began taking mine off. "Bren?"
"Y-yes?" He asked, sitting up a bit.
"I'm trying to decide something." I said, frowning a little. "Should I turn the music up so Ty, Josh, and Ry don't hear us, or should I turn it down so I can hear you?"
Brendon pouted a little in thought. "I'll j-just be l-louder." I smiled, laughing a little. He giggled also, straddling my hips, his hands in my hair. "Y-you make m-me happy, D-Dally."
I smiled. "You make me happy too, baby."
