Brendon's POV

I quickly ran to Dallon and I's room, and I grabbed myself a jacket, my skirt still flowing around my thighs. I managed to find a black jacket, and I think it was Dallon's, but I didn't think that he would really mind.

I dart back down the hall, and I try to slide, but I can't since I have shoes on so I almost end up tripping. I squeak a little, and I manage to catch myself.

When I stand up again properly, I see Dallon giving me a bit of a concerned look, and I giggle a little since I'm embarrassed.

"You ready, baby?" He asks, and I nod excitedly, bouncing a bit in place as I look up at Dallon.

He laughs a little and smiles, kissing my head gently before he grabs my hand and we walk outside. I expect that we're going to the car, but when I try to walk to it, Dallon just pulls me back to him, and I cock my head a little.

"We can walk there if you want, baby. It's just down the road, but that's only if you want to walk back," he says as he looks down at me. I think for a second, but then I smile up at him.

"W-We can wa-walk, if th-that's okay wi-with you," I say, and Dallon nods his head, leaning down to kiss me gently before he pulls away and we start walking again, Dallon holding my hand and guiding me so I knew where I needed to go.

We start walking down the sidewalk, and I have a little bounce to my step as we walk, giggling happily.

Dallon just watches me with a smile, and we continue walking along.

After walking for a while, my hand still in Dallon's, he pulls me to a small building. It was pretty cute to me, and I really liked all of the pretty things they had in there.

We walk up to a counter with a lady behind it, and I hold onto Dallon's arm, wanting to stay close to him since there were a few people in the cafe. It wasn't a lot, but it still scared me.

"We would like a table for two, please," Dallon says, and I notice that the lady at the counter looks at me, frowning slightly, so I hide behind Dallon more, whimpering a little.

The lady leads us to a booth in the back, and we sit down, Dallon immediately grabbing my hand and kissing it gently. I giggle softly, my cheeks heating up a bit.

"S-So.. what d-do we do n-now that we're h-here?" I ask softly, and I look around, wanting to see every little thing there was.

"Well, darling, you eat and talk. I can order for you if you want, baby," he says, and I nod a little gently since I didn't really know much about all the different types of food there were on land. "I can also order you a drink, okay?"

I nod again and giggle a little, swinging my feet back and forth from where I'm sat on the booth. I mess with the edge of my skirt with my free hand, playing with the soft fabric.

Suddenly, a lady comes over with a little book type thing and a pen, and I tense up slightly. Dallon gives my hand a squeeze, and it gives me just the slightest bit of reassurance as the waiter comes and stands in front of our table.

"Are you ready to order your drinks, guys?" She asks, and I look over to Dallon, not knowing what to say to her.

"Yes, we'll just take two waters with lemon," Dallon says, and the lady writes down on her little pad before walking away, presumably to go to the back.

Dallon looks back to me, and he smiles fondly, causing my cheeks to heat up again.

"You look amazing, baby," he says, and I smile more. His compliments always made me blush, no matter how much I tried to make the redness of my cheeks go away. I guess he just had that effect on me, but I really didn't mind it at all.

The lady comes back a few minutes later with our drinks, and she sets them down in front of us.

"Are you guys ready to order?" She asks, and I start to mess with my gold necklace again, it distracts me so I don't really realize what Dallon had said to the lady, but when I look up again, she's gone.

"Do you wanna go walk on the beach after this? Or we could just go back home and cuddle if you want," Dallon says, and I smile and shrug gently.

"W-We can d-do whatever yo-you wanna d-do, Da-Dally," I say, and he smiles and nods gently, giving me that same fond look.

At this moment, I didn't care what we were doing as long as I was with him. He had surprised me with the cafe, and so far I had loved every single thing about it. I feel Dallon kiss my hand again gently to get my attention, and I smile and giggle softly.

"I lo-love you, D-Dally," I say, smiling more, my cheeks probably starting to become as red as my tail like they always seemed to be when I was with Dallon.

"I love you too, Bren." I said, smiling as I watched him blush. There was almost no one in the cafe except for us. I focused all my attention on him, I held his hand loosely in mine, brushing my thumb against his knuckles.

He giggled softly, his dark eyes bright with excitement. He was giving me a loving look, but I could tell that he was happy, like when you bring a little kid into a candy store.

The waitress came back with our food, setting it down in front of us. "Is that gonna be all?"

I nodded, giving her a quick 'thank you', and turned back to Brendon. I saw him inspecting the food, and I smiled to myself, amused by him. "That's called a sandwich, baby."

"S-sand?" Brendon asked, pushing the plate away. I held back my laughter, trying to not make him feel bad.

"No, honey, that's just its name. It's not actually sand." I explained. "See, it's bread, cheese, lettuce, and some random stuff, I honestly don't really know what's in here, but it's good!"

Brendon smiled a little. "O-okay." He took a small bite, his eyes going wide.

"Do you like it, sweetie?" I asked, putting my hand on his knee. He nodded, swinging his feet a little. I smiled at his cuteness, as I grabbed my own sandwich. Looking at my boyfriend made my breathing irregular, and it made my cheeks flush.

"D-Dally?" Brendon asked. I nodded, looking up at him. "Wh-what's this?" He pointed to the lemon floating in his drink, the small yellow fruit slice bobbing in the glass.

"That's a lemon, baby, it's kinda sour." I said. "Do..do you wanna try it?"

Brendon nodded, taking the lemon out of his glass gently, placing it in his mouth. His face contorted into a strange look, his eyes going wide. "You can spit it out, baby, spit it out." I said, holding back my laughter. He spat the lemon out, gagging.

"Th-that's g-gross." He said, giggling a little.

"I'm not surprised, honey!" I laughed, holding both his hands in mine. "Do you wanna go out and walk around or something?"

"S-sure!" He exclaimed. "M-my skirt is g-getting w-wrinkled." I nodded, smiling as I waved the waitress back over so I could pay.

About two minutes later, we were ready to go, and I held Brendon's hand tightly, swinging our arms back and forth a little. He giggled, smiling up at me. "Baby, your shoe!"

Brendon looked down, seeing that his shoes were untied. "D-Dally? Will y-you help m-me?" I nodded, leading both of us to another chair so I could tie his shoe. I got down on my knees, and began retying the laces.

I suddenly heard a small smack sound, and a yelp from my boyfriend. I stood up, seeing my boyfriend red in the face, whimpering.

There was another man standing a little ways away, a grin on his face. I turned back to Brendon, seeing tears in his eyes. "What happened, darling?"

"H-he touched m-me." Brendon said quietly. "H-he t-touched me wh-where only y-you can a-and h-have." I glared at the man next to us, drawing my boyfriend close.

"Hey, don't touch my boyfriend!" I exclaimed.

The man shrugged. "I just smacked his ass a little, it's not that big of a deal."

"Yeah it is! He's mine, and no one, especially you can touch him." I growled, putting my arm around Brendon's waist.

"Well if you didn't want me to touch him, then he shouldn't have worn some slut clothes." The man replied sharply. "He looks like a whore."

Brendon whimpered, holding onto me. "D-Dally, wh-what is h-he talking a-about?" I shook my head, kissing the top of his head.

"My boyfriend is not a slut or a whore, so shut the fuck up." I said.

"He's wearing a skirt," the man said. "Is he some kinda sex toy for you?"

I moved forward, and slapped the man across the face. "No one messes with my boyfriend." I spat, turning back to Brendon. "C'mon, darling."

Brendon clung to me, as we walked outside. "D-Dally? Wh-why did he c-call me a-all those n-names? A-and why d-does he n-not like m-my skirt?"

I sighed, putting my hands on his waist, looking into his eyes even though it hurt me to do so. "I'm sorry, baby, I'm sorry."

"Wh-what is i-it?" Brendon asked. "Wh-why do y-you look s-sad?" He put his hand against my cheek, and my eyes fluttered shut out of habit. I knew that I might break his heart, and I didn't want to, but I couldn't not tell him and leave him in the dark about everything that was bad.
