Brendon's POV
❀ • ❀ • ❀ • ❀ • ❀
Dallon and I sat against the rocks for a while, my head now resting against his chest as we made small talk.
My tail was long enough for my fins to be touching the water, every time the waves would roll up, they would roll over my fins before sinking back out.
I look down at Dallon's legs, humming a little to myself as I look over his body that was so much more different than mine. Then my eyes go down to his feet that were bandaged up, and that's when I realized he wouldn't be able to come swim with me for a little bit. At least a week, is what Josh said.
I suddenly had a thought, and a subconscious pout came over my face as I thought about something.
I then look back to Dallon's legs, reaching out and touching them gently, something Dallon doesn't even question. He just lets it happen.
I let my fingers run over his skin, and he still doesn't question my movements. I look up at him to see that he's looking down at me with a fond smile, and I giggle a little as I continue to look up at him.
He leans down and kisses my forehead, both of us staying quiet now, but it's a nice type of quiet. A comfortable one that we were both okay with.
I take my hand away from his legs, and I look at my hand, seeing the webs in between them and my slightly sharper nails, unlike Dallon's. I then look at the ring that's on my finger and I smile, thinking about when he gave it to me.
I hum to myself before sitting up a bit, Dallon taking notice to this and he tilts his head a little, giving me a slightly confused look. He raises one of his eyebrows, making me giggle and shove him a little gently.
"Da-Dally stop it.." I mumble, still giggling a bit, and he leans over and kisses my cheek gently.
"What's on your mind, baby?" He asks, and I take a deep breath before turning a bit more to face him, Dallon still giving me a confused look as he watches me.
"W-Well.. I have so-something I wa-wanna show yo-you.." I say, and he nods a little, and I take that as my encouragement to continue.
I lean down, and I pull my tail up a little, untying a string from the base of my fins, where my scales still were. It's not noticeable since it mostly blends into my scales, so I don't think he ever noticed it.
I pull the little string that has a little red crystal type rock on it, and I show it to him, him taking a moment to look at it. The string was a tan color, so the gem on it really popped. I always kept it around my tail since I had never used it before.
"It's pretty, Bren," I hear Dallon say, and I smile a little, giggling softly as I pull it closer to my body.
"We-Well.. I can use i-it and uh.. h-have l-legs.. I just.. never h-have. I was sc-scared since I've only ever h-heard bad things a-about humans.. i d-didn't think I wo-would be s-safe, so I ju-just never tried. But s-since your feet are h-hurt, and my tail is so-sore.. I could use i-it and get l-legs.." I say, trying to explain it to him the best I could.
"And I c-could come st-stay with y-you.." I add, and I see that his eyes are slightly wide as he takes in everything I had just said to him.
"So, you.. could basically become a h-human?" He asks, and I nod a little gently, looking down at the necklace in my hand.
"If I p-put it on, around m-my neck I could go in-into the water, and kinda t-trans..transf-form, I guess," I reply, and I kind of stumble over the word transform, but he seems to understand what I'm saying.
"Bren.. that's up to you, baby. It's your body so you can do what you want to do. I would love to have you come stay with me, but it's your decision, okay? I don't want to pressure you into anything okay? And you could also come back to the ocean whenever you wanted," Dallon says, and I smile, he was so sweet to me.
I nod as I listen to his words, and I think for a second as I try to decide what I wanted to do.
"I wa-wanna stay w-with you.." I finally say, and I hand the necklace to him, since I don't exactly know how to put it around my neck and then be able to tie it once again.
"C-Can you.. y'know, p-put it on m-me?" I ask, and Dallon nods and smiles.
"Of course I can baby, turn around for me, okay?" He says, and I turn, lifting my head a bit so he can slip the necklace around my neck. I feel him tie it securely around my neck, yet it's still loose enough to where I would still be able to slip it off whenever I wanted to.
He pulls his hands away, and he kisses the back of my neck gently, something that makes me shiver a bit. I giggle softly, and smile more, honestly liking the feeling.
"O-Okay," I say, turning, and I lean over and kiss him on the cheek.
"I'll go i-in the w-water then I'll be r-right back," I continued, and Dallon nodded gently.
"Be careful, darling," he says, and I nod as I start to push myself in the water, the coolness of it making me shiver, but I don't enjoy it as much as when Dallon made me do it.
I push myself far enough to where I'm all the way under the water and I close my eyes, letting myself relax as a tingly feeling takes over my body. The feeling makes my body feel extremely warm, and then suddenly it fades away.
I open my eyes and look down, my eyes going wide as I see that I don't have a tail anymore. I start kicking my legs as I had seen Dallon do before, and it seemed to keep me afloat. My chest suddenly starts to feel tighter and I realize I can't breathe anymore, so I start using my arms and legs to push my way up to the surface.
When I resurface, I take a gasp of air, breathing heavily as I continue to move my arms and legs to keep myself above the water. I look over to Dallon who has slightly wide eyes, and I slowly swim over to him, not being able to go as fast as I would have been able to if I had my tail.
When I reach the sand I crawl up on to it, wobbling a little since I definitely wasn't used to having legs.
I'm not wearing anything besides the necklace that I have around my neck, and when I look up at Dallon, his eyes are wide and his cheeks are flushed, but I didn't quite understand why.
Dallon's POV

I stared at Brendon, as he told me that he could actually turn human. I couldn't believe it, the one thing I wanted was for him to be able to stay with me, and now he finally could! Then I started thinking about how he would feel. Would he be scared? I didn't want him to feel that way.
He continued telling me that he could go under the water and change into a human, as I just stared at him, my mouth slightly open in shock.
"Whatever you want, baby." I said.
He smiled a little. "I wanna stay with you." He said softly, fumbling around with the necklace.
I smiled, taking it from him. "Turn around for me, please." He turned, as I tied the necklace around his neck, making sure the knot wasn't too tight, but it wouldn't come undone. I kissed his neck softly, letting him know that I was done.
He slid himself into the water, smiling at me a little, completely submerging himself.
I waited, nervous about what was going to happen to my boyfriend. I didn't want the transformation to hurt him, I hoped that it wouldn't. Could he swim back to me? A million thoughts about everything that could happen or go wrong went through my mind at a mile a minute, but then I heard someone splashing around in the water.
I watched as Brendon swam towards me, and by all the splashing I could tell that he had legs now.
He pulled himself onto the shore, his legs shaking as he stood up slowly. I felt my face go red, as I covered my mouth with my hands. He wasn't wearing anything except that necklace he had, and I tried to keep my eyes on his face, but it was hard.
"Wh-what's the m-matter?" He asked. "Is s-something wrong?"
"Uh, Bren, you're not wearing any clothes." I said simply, not trying to tell him flat out what I felt so awkward about.
"So?" He asked.
"C'mere." I said, grabbing his hand, yanking us behind a kinda large rock. "Okay, lemme tell you about having legs."
He leaned against the rock, still looking at himself, which didn't help me since that's what I was trying not to do.
"Okay, Bren, so usually when you have legs, you cover up...um...the upper part of your legs." I said.
"Why?"
I sighed, wishing that someone else could do this for me. "Okay...um...so, we do it so we don't distract other people."
"But w-why would that d-distract them?" Brendon asked innocently.
I sighed again, squeezing my eyes shut. "Okay, remember when we kissed for the first time?"
Brendon blushed. "Y-yeah."
"Remember when I put my hands on your hips?" I asked, not knowing where I was going with this.
He nodded again. "Is th-there something wrong with my h-hips?"
"No, Brendon, it's just when two people love each other a whole lot they do....something, and to do that you don't wear any clothes." I said, my face turning a darker shade of red as I explained this to my boyfriend. "Understand?"
He nodded. "C-can I wear your p-pants?"
I nodded, taking off my sweatpants. "It might feel kinda weird." I said, as I helped him put the pants on. "You good?"
"Mhm." He said, frowning a little. "It f-feels f-funny."
"Where?" I asked, cursing myself as soon as the words came out of my mouth.
He pointed to his crotch area, which of course made me look down. Since he wasn't wearing anything under my sweatpants, there was a clear outline of the lower part of his body. I swallowed, my mouth suddenly dry.
"D-Dally? I h-have a question." Brendon mumbled, looking at the sand.
"Yes, what is it?" I asked, wishing that he would look up at me.
"Wh-when you said t-two people love each other a l-lot, they don't wear c-clothes." Brendon said. "B-but you told me t-to put these o-on."
I frowned a little, not understanding what he was talking about. "Does th-that mean we d-don't love each other?"
My eyes went wide, as I grabbed his hands, covering his with my own. "No, baby, I love you so much, you don't even know. I...well, that thing is different."
"How?" Brendon asked, his legs still shaking because he wasn't used to standing yet.
I closed my eyes, inhaling deeply. "That thing is called sex, it's something two people have together."
"I've h-heard of it." Brendon said softly.
"Anyway, it's kind of important, and it changes our relationship if we have it, for better or for worse." I said. "I don't want to do that to you if you're not ready."
Brendon smiled at me. "I think I might want it sometime."
I blushed harder, a smile forming on my lips. "Let's get you inside, and I'll teach you how to play some of Josh's video games."
My boyfriend smiled at me, holding onto my neck as we began walking to the house. Brendon would stumble every now and then, so I kept my arms around him so he wouldn't fall.
"Hey, where's Brendon?" Ryan called. "HOLY SHIT! IS THAT HIM!?"
Tyler and Josh's jaws dropped. "Brendon?"
Brendon smiled. "H-hi, guys!"
"You have legs!" Tyler exclaimed.
"When did you get legs?" Josh asked.
"Dallon, you're in your boxers in public." Ryan said to me.
"Hey, let's go inside, Bren and I will put some clothes on, we'll put in a video game, and we'll explain, okay?"
"Sure, but I pick the game this time!" Tyler exclaimed, running back to the house.
"Oh gosh, that means Fortnite." Josh said, running after his boyfriend, Ryan right behind.
"HEY!" I shouted. "I CAN BARELY WALK! NEITHER CAN BREN!" Brendon and I laughed a little, as our friends ran into the house, not caring about what I was saying. I shook my head, as I helped Brendon up the stairs. I could finally bring the love of my life home, we could spend the night together, and I could wake up with him next to me. I'd never have to leave his side again.
