"What are you doing here Illumi?" I stand up.

"I thought you might need a little help, considering the predicament you've found yourself in."

"Isaacs's family is much less powerful than ours, even if we didn't try, we could still ruin them, it'd be a shame if one of the members of your family...happened to go missing." Illumi threatened.

Isaac's eyes grew dark with fear. All the color from his eyes dispersed.

"Illumi..., I don't think I really need help now, and anyways, you probably have a lot of things to be doing, don't you?" I ask him.

"I actually have the day early, I booked the next two weeks off, since I had no idea how long the exam would take, I'm quite bored."

"Oh."

"My mother said that I should get out and make more strong allies in case I ever need help. I've never needed help, but since I'm getting older and more experienced, more clients will show up."

He's ranting. I sigh.

"Look, Illumi, I can take care of myself, if you ever need me, you have my number, I'm probably not going to be too busy..."

"Nonsense, if you really want to make your family happy, you shouldn't marry a peasant like him."

"Illumi!"

"You could maybe marry one of the Zoldyck's business partners." Illumi thinks out loud.

"Really! Illumi!"

"I didn't know you were a friend of the Zoldyck's (Y/N), you could have told us sooner!" My mother yells at me.

"I didn't think it was important,"

"(Y/N)," Illumi starts," You look nice in that dress,"

"If you're trying to win me over, it's not working."

"Wait, you brought Hisoka here too?"

"He wouldn't stop bugging me about coming and seeing what I was doing, I didn't have much of a choice."

Hisoka comes out from around the corner.

"You didn't tell me you were acquainted with one of the Zoldyck boys and his friend!" My grandmother claps her hands.

She's just like my mother, maybe that's why my mother was allowed to be married into the family.

"You guys really are a terrible family~"

"I mean, your daughter could technically do whatever she wanted with you guys, she's stronger than all of your guards combined, not like you cared or anything."

My family blushes from embarrassment.

"(Y/N), you have three choices," Illumi starts," Continue this sad arrangement of your 'soul mate', go with Hisoka to heavens arena to get more fighting experience, or be trained by me and the butlers for a few weeks if you pass through our testing gate,"

"I-"

"Oh, and also, (Y/N)'s grandma,"

"Yes?"

"She's an ally of the Zoldyck family, she's an acquaintance of two of the Zoldyck boys, soon to be four as well as our grandparents and parents,"

"Oh!" She gasps.

"I'll take the test at your testing gate, if I fail, I'll go to heavens arena with Hisoka," I answer.

"Ah! That's great!"

"I never want to come back here." I walk over to Hisoka and Illumi.

"And you'll never have to," The duo say together.

I get in an expensive car. I sit in the back seat.

We stop at a gas station nearby.

"You'll need to change, you can't open the testing gate in those clothes."

I panic, did I leave my license? Oh right, I stuck it in my hair after the maids were done with it.

Illumi gives me a plain black crop top that stops at my belly button and denim shorts with little rips at the bottom.

"Thanks," I run into the gas station bathroom and proceed to change out of my outfit.

My family broach is planted on my chest. I take the pinout and stash it in my new jean pockets. One pocket has a broach, the other has my license.

I run back to the car, which was just filled by Hisoka. Illumi opens my car door and signals for me to sit inside.

"Thanks, Illumi, you really saved me back there..."

"No need to thank me, now you just owe me something in return."

"What would you like,"

"Your license."

"Wait what?"

"Oh, Illumi!~ Stop teasing her,"

"I was kidding,"

I breathe a sigh of relief.

"I want you to open the testing gate, otherwise, I want you to make it through to battle Olympia, I'm another master of yours."

"Of course."

"But don't call me master, it sounds strange,"

"Ok,"

We get on a small private plane and land at the entrance of Kukuroo mountain. It took a few days to get there since Illumi showed me around the area where he lived.

He drove me to Kukuroo mountain.

Illumi got a phone call.

"Oh, I see, if father said so,"

"What is it?"

"Killua was retrieved from our estate and is going to travel with Gon, he'll come back."

"Ah~"

"We're here," The car wheels scraped up against some gravel that was on the front of their estate. The car came to a stop and we all got out.

I stand in between the two men and look up at the large gate in front of me.

"Three of these gates weighs 16 tons,"

"We're just looking for you to open one, each door is one ton."

"Use any means necessary." Illumi states.

The sun was starting to go down and touring of Kukuroo Mountain had finished for the day.

"Good morning, Master Illumi," a man, who seemed to be the security guard greeted him.

Illumi didn't respond, he's probably used to giving orders and only speaking to people if it's necessary.

"Use any means necessary," Illumi repeats.

"I'll use my ability," I tell him.

He nods. I prep my hands on both of the doors and take a deep breath.

I inhale. I gather up all of nen stored in my body and spread it across my muscles that I'll be using.

I exhale. I push lightly on the doors simultaneously. I can't be weak anymore, every time someone I knew was in trouble, I was never there to help them out, I need to be there, I need to get stronger!

I bring out my tentacles and push as hard as I can against the doors. I hear them creak open, there's six of them, no eight.

I give the doors one final push before I relax my body and use my nen to enhance my breathing since I was panting so loud.

Cassandra taught me that once a fight was over, you have to work and fix yourself with the strength you have left, fights are never truly over, there's always a possibility that you will lose.

I looked up to see how many doors I had opened with the help of my tentacles.

"There are seven doors," Illumi states.

"Huh?" I pant.

"And you opened all of them."

"I did?" I count how many doors there were.

"I did it! I opened all of them!"

"How many tons is that~," Hisoka asks.

"256."

"Wait...I just pushed 256 tons by myself?!" I stare at my hands in shock. They were red from the strain, so were my arms.

"You strained yourself, my goal is that you'll be able to open all seven gates without hurting yourself or using your ability."

The gate slams shut in front of me.

"Like so."

Illumi proceeds to push the gates and open all seven of the gates with only using a small amount of nen to aid him.

"Woah!" I say.

"You'll be working day and night, I'll work on a few other things as well, I'll be expected to teach you a year of Zoldyck training in these two weeks, if not completed, I'll give you an extra week depending on how I think you did."

"I'm so glad!" I run up to Illumi and give him a big hug.

"What was that for?" He asks. I blush.

"I got carried away! Sorry, it won't happen again." My face turns really red and I start to inch away from him and sneak through the doors.

This was it, the Zoldyck estate.

"Oh, and, I apologize for bumping into you during the exam," I chuckle.

"That's fine, I'm going to be working with you on that."

I turn and look at the butler guarding the house. This was it, my destiny.

"Welcome...Master Illumi."
