Chapter 32 - October 14, 2024

Waking up in Yoongi's arms was a sensation I could easily become addicted to. As I slowly opened my eyes, I was greeted by the gentle warmth of his breath on my skin. The soft rustle of the sheets and the gentle rise and fall of Yoongi's breathing lulled me into a state of tranquillity. If I were a cat, blissful purrs would have erupted when he began to lavish lazy kisses across my shoulders. We had woken up a little while ago, but the comfort of our cosy cocoon of blankets and body heat was too enticing to leave. It felt as if time stood still, and all that existed was the two of us, lost in this peaceful morning scene.

"How'd you sleep, Angel?" Yoongi's gentle whisper sent a parade of goose bumps marching down my spine as his soft lips grazed my skin with every low, husky, and gravelly word. His velvety voice, a sensual treat in its own right, was one of the sexiest I'd ever had the pleasure of hearing. But paired with the lingering haze of sleep, it became a potent cocktail that was rapidly turning me on. The rough, sleepy edges of his tone only added to the allure and made my heart race with anticipation.

"I don't think I've ever slept better, Handsome," I confessed, my fingers weaving in and out of his as we lay together. The warmth of his body seeped into mine, making me feel cosy and content. "I've been trying to figure out which is more comfortable—the plush softness of your bed or the way you curled around me, holding me close all night."

Yoongi's deep, raspy chuckles resonated across my back, sending shivers down my spine. As I basked in the warmth of being spooned by him, I couldn't resist the urge to turn onto my side and gaze at the man who had captured my heart. As I faced him, I was struck by the radiant beauty of Yoongi Min. Even with eyes still puffy from a good night's sleep, his chiselled features remained remarkably sharp, making my heart stumble over its beat. The morning sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm, golden glow on his face, highlighting the softness of his features and making the moment feel tender and intimate.

My gaze was magnetically drawn to his lips, which curved into a gentle smile as if inviting me in. Without thinking, my lips began to move; they bridged the gap between us, longing for a tender morning kiss that would leave us breathless. As our lips touched, I felt a spark of electricity, and my heart fluttered with excitement.

His eyes, alive with hope and affection, bore into mine as we pulled apart. Breathless, we basked in the warm glow of the sunrise painting our faces. "What are you up to today?" he asked with a husky voice. I felt a flutter in my chest as he smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Would you like to go on a date with me?"

I blushed like a rose in spring, my face flushing with excitement as I nodded eagerly, feeling like a shy schoolgirl before her first date. "I'd love to," I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper, as I leaned in for another gentle, tender kiss. His lips were like silk, soft and inviting, and I couldn't help but linger for a moment more.

I reluctantly pulled back, checking the clock on his bedside table, noting that it was already almost 8.30 a.m. Despite the small amount of sleep I had, I'd never felt more refreshed.

"I've got to head over to Michelle and Hwa's at 10:30 for a massage, so would you like to grab a late lunch or dinner together?" I asked, hoping he'd agree to one or the other, my heart skipping a beat at the opportunity to spend more time with him.

"Why don't you go and have a shower, get dressed at your place, and then we can grab some breakfast together?" As he elaborated on his plan, his thoughtful consideration only added to my delight. "I can drop you off at their place afterwards since I have some errands to run and you don't drive. I'll get those done, swing by to pick you up later and then we can have our date. How does that sound to you?"

My heart raced at the thought of him wanting to spend so much time with me. A surge of happiness welled up within me, one I'd never dreamed possible. This simple invitation awakened dormant emotions, filling me with unexpected joy.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him in for a series of gentle kisses along his jawline and down to his neck. "That, Yoongi Min," I whispered, my breath dancing across his skin, "sounds perfect."

As I nuzzled and sucked on his earlobe, I couldn't help but smirk at the low, sensual moan that escaped his lips. I teased his ear with my teeth, and he responded with a throaty groan, his body tensing with anticipation. After a quick nibble, I patted his chest playfully and hopped out of bed, his eyes dark with lust and need.

"I can be ready in 15 minutes. Does that work for you, Tiger?"

Yoongi stalked towards me as I pulled on my dress, looking like a lion stalking its prey. He leaned in close, his voice low and menacing. "Listen, Babygirl, next time you decide to tease me like that, you'll be begging for mercy. Your gorgeous ass will look like it's sunburnt by the time I'm done with you."

His eyes flashed with a warning, a spark of intensity that made my heart skip a beat. It was like I had awakened a sleeping giant. Knowing I had the power to rouse Dom Yoongi from his calm exterior made me feel empowered, like I was holding a match that could ignite a storm of passion and fury.

As I lay on the massage table, I let out a deep, contented sigh. Michelle's skilled fingers were magic, melting my muscles into a puddle of relaxation. Ever since I first experienced the bliss of a Lomi Lomi massage—a sacred and ancient Hawaiian massage art—I had become spoilt, unable to settle for anything less.

This was my fourth treatment with Michelle, and with each session, I gained a deeper understanding of this traditional practice. With each treatment, my friend shared more about Lomi Lomi. She told me it was both a physical massage and a spiritual experience, and it aimed to restore balance and harmony to the body and mind.

As her gentle fingers glided across my skin, like waves rolling onto the beach, I was transported back to the first time Michelle introduced me to the serene art of Lomi Lomi a few months ago. I'd been thinking that the soft, flowing strokes and soothing pressure were like a tranquil ocean wave, calming my tense muscles. That was until Michelle's discerning hands picked up on the fact that I was a dancer. Her words sent a shiver down my spine as she compared the strain and tension in my muscles to that of Jimin's, Seonghwa's, and Mingi's.

At first, I was petrified that she would uncover the secrets of my past life in New York, where I'd danced every day for almost my entire life. However, when her skilled hands reached my ankle, still marked by the lingering bruises from my fall on that fateful night at Copacabana, she astutely observed that the injury had taken a toll on my muscles. She assumed that, because of the injury, I'd given up dancing altogether. I breathed a sigh of relief and used her assumption as a convenient excuse for why I'd never shared my history of dancing with anyone. She understood how physically and emotionally painful it had been to give up something I loved so much.

But what struck me most about Michelle was her integrity. She was a woman of her word, honouring my trust by keeping my secret safe, just as she had promised.

I grimaced as Michelle's expert touch found a knot in my back, easing the ache as she continued to work her magic. "Either you've been dancing again, Cracker, or you got your back blown out by a certain handsome CEO." Her teasing words hinted that she suspected more than she was letting on.

The memory of the previous night's encounter with Yoongi replayed in my mind, his strong hands and charming smile lingering in my thoughts like a sweet melody. I could still feel the gentle pressure of his fingers on my skin. The mere thought of him sent a wave of warmth through my body and heated my face with a deep-seated longing. The sensation was so intense that I was grateful I was lying face down. I did not doubt that if my friend saw my flushed cheeks, she would have misinterpreted the blush as a sign of embarrassment.

"By your silence—and the way I can feel your heart skipping like a kangaroo under my hands—I'm going with option two." It was as if, besides her expert massage skills, Michelle's hands were human lie detectors. I made a mental note to try and master my non-verbal cues when around her. I'd have to be careful not to reveal too much if she happened to stumble onto anything that could inadvertently link me to New York. "It's about time you two hooked up," she said, her voice radiating a warm, knowing smile. "I can't wait to tell Hwa... He's gonna have to pay up."

A faint smile spread across my face as I silently weighed the pros and cons of prying into their private wager. But my thoughts were interrupted when she asked, "So, are you guys just hooking up or are you together?"

If anyone else had asked me this, I'd have been annoyed at their intrusion into my business. But Michelle, with her warm smile and kind eyes, was one of the sweetest women I'd ever had the pleasure of meeting. As the girlfriend of Yoongi's youngest brother, she had a special connection to the family and I could sense her genuine concern for Yoongi's well-being. Michelle was the type of person who would go out of her way to help those in need, and I was grateful for her presence in Yoongi's life.

I was hesitant to label the unspoken bond between Yoongi and me until I could have a heart-to-heart with him. To me, things between us felt more substantial than a casual fling, and I didn't want it to be reduced to a friends-with-benefits arrangement. But the real question was: where did Yoongi stand on the matter? Did he see our connection as a deep emotional investment, or was it just a casual dalliance to him? The uncertainty hung in the air, leaving me wondering what the future held for us.

I replied, opting for sincerity, "To be honest, we haven't discussed what we are yet. There wasn't a lot of talking done last night... only the essentials of birth control, consent, etcetera. But I'm looking forward to clarifying things with him later on the date he's taking me on."

Michelle let out a squeal of delight, and the atmosphere in the room instantly shifted. The rest of our session turned into a lively chat, sharing our thoughts on Jimin's romantic proposal the night before. Our imaginations ran wild as we speculated about the type of wedding the couple would have now that he'd finally mustered up the courage to pop the question. We wondered if it would be a lavish, fairy-tale-inspired affair or an intimate, low-key celebration. Would they opt for a traditional ceremony or something more unconventional? The possibilities were endless, and we revelled in the excitement and romance of it all.

I slowed my pace on the beach, the warm sand shifting beneath my feet. Yoongi and I strolled hand in hand, enjoying the sound of waves crashing. I felt like we were one of those couples in one of those sappy Hallmark movies—but I was too happy to care.

"Jimin was wrong, you know?" I said, turning to him with a hint of amusement. Yoongi's eyebrows furrowed, and he let out a curious hum, encouraging me to continue. I chuckled, "He told me once that your idea of a romantic evening is binge-watching documentaries and ordering takeaway."

Yoongi's face lit up with a wide, gummy grin as he let out a hearty, contagious laugh, clearly entertained by his brother's playful jab. "Is that so?" he repeated, chuckling, his eyes sparkling with amusement and a hint of mischief. "Well, I hope you'll be able to set the record straight with him, Beautiful," he said, the nickname rolling off his tongue with fondness.

I could tell without even looking that my blushing cheeks mirrored the soft, warm tones of the fading sky above. "Oh, I will," I replied, trying to sound nonchalant despite the butterflies in my stomach. "But I think your baby brother will be upset with what I'd say to defend your honour..."

Yoongi's head cocked to one side. He looked so cute with his eyes narrowing as he tried to piece together the meaning behind my words.

"Seonghwa is not going to like being dethroned from his Mr Romantic title," I clarified, a sly smile spreading across my face.

His deep and intoxicating laugh danced in the sea air. My heart fluttered, skipping beats as he drew me into his arms. Time stood still when our lips met, a kiss rivalling any romantic scene that I'd imagined before. In his embrace, the world faded away, leaving only us and the whispering waves.

Yoongi's gaze softened as he met my eyes. "You're right, Angel," he murmured with a playful grin. The sunset's warm glow kissed his skin, casting him in an ethereal light. "Hwa would throw a fit if he heard that," he added with a chuckle, his voice low and melodic.

He turned us towards the ocean, pulling me close as his arms wrapped around me in a warm embrace. I settled into the curve of his chest, feeling our bodies align like two pieces of a puzzle. My hands naturally fell on top of his, which encircled my waist. Together we gazed out at the breathtaking sunset. The sky was set aflame, a kaleidoscope of pinks, oranges, and purples dancing across the horizon.

As the golden disc finally sank beneath the horizon, a deep sense of contentment washed over me like a soothing balm to my soul. I let out a soft, relaxed sigh, resting my head in the crook of his neck.

"Honestly, I don't think you could make our first date any better," I murmured, my voice barely audible, even though we were alone on this secluded stretch of beach. The warm sand beneath my feet and the salty breeze added to the romantic ambience. I paused to soak in the beauty of the moment before continuing, "It's been perfect, thank you."

Yoongi's soft voice whispered, "It's not over yet, Bonnie," in my ear, igniting a spark of excitement within me. I wondered what other delights he had planned to make this unforgettable day even more special.

As promised, he had picked me up after my massage and then whisked me away to a romantic lunch at Orchids, the elegant restaurant at Halekulani. The only thing better than the ocean views was the exquisite Italian dishes we shared.

Yoongi then surprised me with a visit to the Waikiki Aquarium. Although I'd been there many times with Yeosang and the girls, it felt like a brand-new experience with Yoongi. As we walked through the underwater tunnels, our conversation flowed effortlessly akin to the schools of fish swimming past. We eagerly shared our favourite sea creatures and confessed which ones terrified us. I couldn't help but notice how Yoongi's eyes lit up when he spotted the bright orange clownfish swimming through their anemone home. He could have watched them for hours, mesmerised by their antics. I, on the other hand, was drawn to the jellyfish, captivated by how their soft, gelatinous bodies undulated gracefully in the current.

Our dreamy date continued with a leisurely walk along the picturesque Kaimana Beach. Though smaller and less famous than its neighbour, Waikiki Beach, Kaimana had a unique charm. As we strolled hand in hand along the soft, golden sand, we were enchanted by the laughter of children building sandcastles and the sight of elderly couples enjoying a romantic promenade, exchanging smiles as we passed. The sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore created a soothing melody that harmonised with the rhythm of our footsteps. When we reached the end of Kaimana's shoreline, we effortlessly headed over to the adjacent Kaluahole Beach, where we were treated to the breathtaking spectacle of the sun dipping slowly into the horizon.
