Chapter 15 [not edited]

Chapter 15: I'm lazy.

A/N: heyyooo:) okay so just wanted to say that this chapter is going to have some parts in which the characters relate to The Outsiders, in which is a book by S. E. Hinton!! okay bye and thanks for read lovelies<3

People were staring. Taylor and I walked down the halls of East View, and almost everyone was staring, even the outcasts! In this school, popular dates popular, average dates average, pretty dates handsome, outcasts dates outcasts. Do we fit into any of them? No.

"people are staring..." I muttered to him.

"mmhmm"

"make it stop!"

"how?"

"uh cause I don't know... you're the freaking popular kid!"

"guys please stop staring! you're making my girlfriend uncomfortable!" Taylor yelled to the people.

Did he just say girlfriend? That thought would usually make my heart flutter but this time, it was far from a fluttery feeling. He did not just address me as his girlfriend to the whole freakin school. Great, just great. The girls in the 'Taylor fan club' shot daggers at me with their eyes, while the outcasts, just stared, mouth ajar.

"what?!" Zoe exclaimed.

Oh great, another problem. So I may or may not have told Zoe and Britney about Taylor and I being together. I was busy, okay! Actually, I wasn't but I way lazy okay! The phone was just too far from the sofa when I actually decided on calling but, thus resulting in me not calling them. TeamLaziness.

"you're dating?!" Britney squealed, hoping that it was true.

Groaning, I dragged Zoe and Britney into a nearby classroom, Taylor right behind me.

"are you insane?! I could have got clawed right there on the spot! did you see the girls? they looked like they were ready to eat me apart, like zombies! do you even know what they could do to me?! one of you guys better start calling the funeral planner, know why? because once I'm out your sight, Taylor, those girls will come at me!" I exclaimed, putting my hands up in the air.

"and as for you two," I said, looking at the girls, "I'm sorry for not telling you guys about it okay, the phone was just so far from the couch."

They shook their heads, probably disappointed at my laziness.

"Summer, calm down, look at me." Taylor said.

"no! you don't understand! outcasts aren't meant to be with popualr kids or cool kids! people are going to spread rumors and shit. or maybe they'll think I ony like you cause of your popularity, which I don't but I ju-"

"see, that's the thing! if they do spread rumors, they're not true so why care?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"because...okay let's put it this way: Greasers and Socs never get along! you're the Soc and I'm the Greaser, I'm part of the outsiders."

"but Cherry did talk to Ponyboy, and they liked each other, even though they were opposites," Zoe piped in.

"see?! even the most different people can be together..." he smiled, " it's going to be okay"

"I guess..."

The next thing Taylor did made Zoe and Britney gasp, and no he did not turn out to be a serial killer and took out a knife, but he kissed me. I grinned into the kiss and I knew he did the same. I wrapped my arms around his neck while he did the same with my waist. His touch made me go warm, and my stomach felt like the zoo was in it.

"get a room!" they giggled.

Taylor broke apart and said, "sure we'll do that. leave"

I chuckled as Brit and Zoe playfully put they're hands over their heart, faking to be hurt. Being the good friend I was, I punched Taylor in the arm. He pouted but I pecked that pouted lips, smiling even more as I realised this was the first time I kissed first. Britney and Zoe smirked, thinking that I decided to go with them, so I bit back a laugh.

As soon as they walked out of the door thinking that I was behing them, I spoke, "see you guys in class. bye! and sorry!" then closing the door behind them, going back to Taylor who was laughing so hard.

~~~~~
Taylor was right, everything was going to be okay. Nothing technically happened, although I did get some glares from girls, weird looks from outcasts and smirks from others. Why smirks? Don't even ask me, i've had enough for the day! But of course, they were all easy to ignore, I was an outcast anyways.
Currently, I was updating my wall, literally. I added more polaroid pictures to it, most from the masquerade. I smiled at the memories, especially when I came across the one in which Taylor and I kissed. I never told him that he was my first kiss, because he's probably kissed so many other girls. That thought made my heart sink a little. See, this is why I hate overthinking, it doesn't do you good.
"hey Summer? want to go out for dinner? Aunt Meg's working late so it's just you and me..." Vince said, coming into my room.
"can we order food? I'm lazy"
"when are you not ever lazy?" he muttered.
"I heard that" I gave him a flat look.
"you were meant to" he innocently smiled.
"so wacha' doing?"
"oh I'm flying! can't you see what I'm doing..." I shook my head at my brother's stupid question.
"whatever..." he muttered, embarrassed.
"I better be on that wall," he stated.
"so that I can die every time I see your face?" I laughed.
"ha ha you're so very funny... not" he gave me a flat look.
"I know, it's a talent you'll never have"
"what's that?" he said as he walked closer, looking at the picture in my hands.
Great, now how am I going to get out of this? Hes going to be all over-protective of me and stuff like that. That's the way Vince is, he acts like he doesn't care sometimes but deep down, he does, especially ever since mom and dad. I didn't want to lie to him, mostly because I didn't see the need to. He was going to find out sooner or later, either by me or by his best friend, Kyle, who's sister goes to my school. And in East View, rumors travel fast.
"it's me, and Taylor..."
