Chapter 48 Part 2: Discoveries Ahead
[University of Foranea, Monoceros Keep, 31st of Before Witching, Year 426: 8:50 AM]
It was a winter morning when Ivo spent his time-off and had gone into the library where he had picked up some algebra, calculus, engineering, and physics books. There were some students and professors who remained even it was a holiday. He busied himself skimming reading the pages and taking down notes, focusing and preparing for next year's first semester.
Across him, there was a lean and dark haired moustached man with a lighter skin complexion. He was wearing glasses and a business suit. He was sitting on a chair, and busily writing his notes. He seemed to be a university professor around his late thirties to early forties.
“ Studying as well? ” Ivo curiously asked the professor.
" Nein, I'm preparing for a lesson plan and course syllabus, " he answered.
“ Are you one of the professors at the university? ” Ivo theorized.
“ Ivo Matthias-Augustin Fischer. I’ll be one of the new students attending the University of Foranea. It’s nice to meet you, " he introduced himself.
" Fischer, you're also a Chergarian? " Lukas asked. " For how long have you been into this country? "
“ Ja, I am a Chergarian, ” Ivo nodded at Lukas. “ I’ve been in this country since I was twelve after my mother’s demise. Then I left for Chergaria when I was twenty-two. I returned to Foranea when I was twenty-nine after deserting from the army.”
" So, you just have been in this country for a long time, ja? Wunderbar! "
“ Ja. Now I’ve been helping out my adoptive family or maternal relatives and working as a mechanic and blacksmith, ” Ivo smiled at Lukas. " Soon, an engineer. "
" Wait, I think I remember you. You must be the highest admission test passer in the school of engineering for next year, Ja? " Lukas asked and closed his book. " I believe I saw you, the Blue Knight, and the elven man came to defend the campus. "
“ You’ll be correct. I’ve assisted the Blue Knight and his allies in protecting the campus from Umbral cultists, ” Ivo said to Lukas.
" C'est merveilleux de rencontrer un autre défenseur et d'être bientôt étudiant à l'université. (It's wonderful to meet another defender and soon to be student at the university.) " the geology professor replied and recalled. " But I would like you to come with me, Herr Fischer. There is something about me and my father have been keeping for decades. I have never told anyone from my students and my colleagues. "
“ What is it? ” Ivo curiously asked the Chergarian professor.
" Do you remember the Robanian invasion of Year 415? " Lukas asked.
“ I was involved there out of duty. My superior officer and friend tried his best to prevent me from being deployed there, ” Ivo explained.
" I see, " Lukas sighed and nodded. Then, he seriously spoke and explained further. " Our fellow people wanted to expand the empire and took over every independent country, but there's a hidden treasure underneath the ground. They were after the Robanian Zenigen crystals. "
“ Zenigen crystals? ” Ivo asked Lukas.
" Akrovia has a rebuke gem which was discovered after the Divine War. If so, Robania has a different precious stone. It was in the Year 337, the Period of Crossed Steel when some local villagers have discovered the Zenigen crystal underneath the forests, " he explained. " The word of mouth had spread of this newly discovered crystal with medicinal properties. The Robanians started mining for it, however the large neighboring country, Chergaria, had heard of this precious and valuable gem. Aside from territorial and political expansion, the country decided to invade it since the Aldernians never cared in supporting the small country. Our own people took over the mine shaft and sold the crystal for 250,000 Creds or 105,000 Drachmas. "
“ Which led you researching these Zenigen Crystals? These crystals having medicinal properties sound like it could be very valuable, ” Ivo theorized.
" Ja, " Lukas nodded. " Our fellow people may be indeed greedy in order to satisfy the Immortal Emperor himself, but that is why my father was totally against the invasion of Robania. "
“ Your father wanted to keep the Zenigen Crystals out of the wrong hands. ”
" Ja, " the geology professor nodded. " It's true. He was surprised that those gemstones were being sold to black market. "
“ What would they sell these crystals on the black market? People used it for evil purposes? ” Ivo asked.
" Money, " he sternly spoke and sighed. " But they never understand the importance of such valuable gemstone from the underground. This could help improve of anyone's condition. "
“ So you’re continuing your father’s studies on these Zenigen Crystals? Where is he now? ” Ivo curiously asked.
" Ja, I am still continuing it. Unfortunately, he passed away around two years ago. "
“ I’m sorry for your loss. How did he die? ” Ivo sadly asked.
" He passed away being murdered and tortured, " he heavily sighed and answered.
“ I’m sorry I didn’t mean for you to remember that painful memory, " Ivo regrettably said.
" Ja, " Lukas nodded and replied. " Thank you for listening, Herr Fischer. "
“ Bitte (You’re welcome). ” Ivo smiled at Lukas.
" Will you try to share this information to anyone whom you trust? "
Ivo nodded at Lukas, “ Ja. This information will be safe with the Blue Knight and his allies. ”
“ My brother. Dr. Amnon Joseph Montmartre, ” Ivo answered.
" So, I have heard of the returning physician from Odyssea Academy who tremendously lost his clinic by a hostage taker, " Lukas sadly spoke. " I hope he is able to cope up. "
“ Ja. Him, his wife, and their daughter are doing well. I’m always there to assist my family.” Ivo smiled at Lukas.
" Ah, très bien, " the geology professor replied. " I'm glad of this outcome. It would interest him if you share this discovery of that Robanian mineshaft and the zenigen crystal. "
“ Ich werde (I will). He’ll definitely be interested and fascinated with the Zenigen Crystals’ medicinal properties.” Ivo happily said in agreement.
Lukas nodded and handed Ivo of his late father's notes. He said, " Perhaps, Herr Doktor Montmartre will be studying them further. "
Ivo took the notes into his hand, “ My brother will get right to studying them once he’s free. He is also a friend who is an alchemist and mage. This will interest him as well. ”
" It will be helpful and useful for them to study it, Herr Fischer. "
“ Ja, " Ivo nodded in agreement.
" I hope this will be their new start of their study. "
" Me too.”
[Montmartre Residence, 31st of Before-Witching, Year 426, 10:59 PM]
Within the living room area, Little Emie was lying on her crib and listening to her father's gentle and mellow strums of his guitar in strings of F major. She felt pleased to hear and see him as if he was serenading her to sleep. Amnon started singing to her as his wife sat beside him on the couch and saw his daughter smiling at her parents.
" Au clair de la lune,
Mon ami Pierrot,
Prête-moi ta plume,
Pour écrire un mot.
Ma chandelle est morte,
Je n’ai plus de feu.
Ouvre-moi ta porte,
Pour l’amour de Dieu.»
Au clair de la lune,
Pierrot répondit:
«Je n’ai pas de plume,
Je suis dans mon lit.
Va chez la voisine,
Je crois qu’elle y est,
Car dans sa cuisine
On bat le briquet.»
Au clair de la lune,
L’aimable Lubin
Frappe chez la brune,
Qui répond soudain:
«Qui frapp’ de la sorte?»
Il dit à son tour:
«Ouvrez votre porte,
Pour le Dieu d’amour.»
Au clair de la lune,
On n’y voit qu’un peu.
On chercha la plume,
On chercha du feu.
En cherchant d’la sorte,
je n’sais c’qu’on trouva,
Mais je sais qu’la porte,
Sur eux se ferma! "
Ivo, Pierre, Nirvana, and Marie were talking in the dining room and letting the new parents having their lovely moment with their daughter. Blokk and Karola were discussing about stories back in the Akrovian Air Force. Ilyana and Monika were also pleased that the elderly blonde woman had brightened up her spirits in seeing everyone. As Amnon ended his song, Little Emie cooed and yawned. She was starting to feel sleepy and contented in listening to her father's music.
" I’m just glad you’re back. We were all worried for you, ” Ivo happily said to Nirvana.
" Sigurd and Aurelio just found us at the tunnel going to the bunker. I was about to be experimented last night, but they had let me out. I'm glad Pierre-chan reunited with me, " Nirvana sincerely smiled and turned to him, holding his right hand.
" It was nothing, Nirrie, I just want you to come home safe with us, " Pierre replied and held her hand. " I don't want to see your sister finding out of almost experimented. "
“ What happened to Aurelio? ” Ivo asked with concern.
" He was left, " she heavily sighed.
“ Left behind? Why didn’t no one go back to save him? ” Ivo asked in disbelief.
" Well, he wants to go on a solo mission, I presume, " Pierre seriously spoke and sighed.
“ I see. May Photis protect him on his mission, ” Ivo said with concern.
" I know, it's quite difficult for him to continue like this, but eventually he will be spared someday. " Marie replied.
“ Let’s hope he goes home safely, ” Ivo optimistically said.
" Just like anyone of us here, " Nirvana replied and nodded in agreement.
" Right, " Pierre nodded back at her and held her hands as she leaned to his shoulder.
“ Will you be returning to work at Tsurumi’s art gallery? ” Ivo curiously asked.
" Of course, I missed doing shadow art from there, " she said and sighed. " I felt like I have so many things to catch-up."
Just then, there was a solemn piano music being played on the radio broadcast before the New Year. It was a slow key of G which you were all listening. After the song, there was a woman's voice echoed and offered a prayer in Franken. The entire household listened to her and started to pray. Ivo closed his eyes as he started to pray to the Ouranists alongside his family.
Little Emie grew curious of her family's sudden silence which she would have asked, 'Why everyone seems so quiet? Is there something wrong?'. The baby noticed and waited for them to talk. Even, she would listen to her father's lullaby and guitar's strumming.
Moments later, the lady broadcaster finished her prayer and calmly spoke, " Le compte à rebours jusqu'à l'an 427 va commencer maintenant dans 15 secondes. (The countdown to Year 427 will start now in 15 seconds.) "
" Quinze...
Quatorze...
Treize...
Douze...
Onze...
Dix...
Neuf...
Huit...
Sept...
Six...

" Aujourd’hui est le premier jour de l’après-sorcellerie, année 427. Puissiez-vous tous passer une nouvelle année bénie et prospère. (Today is the First Day of After-Witching, Year 427. May you all have a blessed and prosperous New Year.) "
Everyone in the family cheerfully applauded for the coming of the New Year, however this was more different than the previous celebrations due to some events happened in Foranea. Little Emie happily cooed and started to yawn after waiting for her family to pray and anticipate the coming of the New Year.
" Bonne année! " Amnon and Glenda replied while carrying and kissing their daughter.
“ Bonne Année! (Happy New Year!) ” Ivo cheerfully exclaimed as he goes to hug his brother and sister-in-law.
The two hugged him back as Little Emie kept herself awake and looked at her uncle and her parents. She cooed and babbled at them.
" I'm sorry, Emie. This is just as a simple and solemn event we have, " Glenda said to her little daughter.
" Glen, she will understand once she grows older and sees this country at peace, " Amnon replied.
" Vsekh s Novym godom! (Happy New Year, Everyone!) " Karola happily cheered.
" Hah! We can still joyously celebrate the New Year in our own way, Da? " Blokk exclaimed and instantly grabbed Amnon, Ivo, and Pierre, tightly hugging them. " What do you think, mal'chiki? "
" Dyadya Blokk, not that too tight! " Amnon wryly grinned and chuckled.
“ Ja! Our family could still celebrate the New Year! ” Ivo said in agreement as his uncle hugged him tightly.
" YA soglasen! (I agree!) " Pierre replied in Luski and parted his way from his two brothers and elderly uncle. He picked up a bottle of red wine and poured it into the wine glass, raising it. Then, he spoke in Franken, " Un toast à un nouveau départ ! Acclamations! (A toast to a new beginning! Cheers!) Bonne Annèe! S Novym godom! "
Everyone picked up their glasses as Glenda carried and held her daughter's baby milk bottle. They were toasting their drinks. For Little Emie, she happily smiled at everyone and cooed as she would have said, 'Bonne Annèe'.
“ Un toast pour tous ceux qui sont ici unis dans la familie! (A toast for everyone here being united in family!) ” Ivo happily said as he raise up his glass of wine.
" À notre famille et de nouvelles bénédictions à venir! ( To our family and new blessings ahead!)" Amnon responded and also bumped his glass. " À votre santé! Za zdaróvye! (To your health!) "
“ Ja, “ Ivo nodded in agreement as he bump his brother’s glass before take a sip from his wine.
" And definitely a new hope for everyone, " Glenda smiled and held her glass of water bumping at her husband's glass.
" Definitely, I agree, " Amnon smiled back at his wife and turned to his daughter who was joyfully cooing at her parents and everyone in the household. " And for our future as well. "
[Dread Wolves Tribe Village, 1st of After Witching, Year 427: 8:20 AM]
An elderly half-human and half-elven man quietly sat at the backseat of his limousine and listened to a popular male Elandric singer on the radio. His dwarven driver and majordomo was sitting on the driver's seat and controlling the steering wheel. The white luxurious vehicle roamed on the way to the village. The elderly Aldernian man's memories lingered in his thoughts and saw his childhood years as part of the nomadic tribe along with his family.
“ This brings back splendid memories of my childhood, ” Samuel happily said.
" Indeed, Mister Evans, I believe here we are, " the dwarven man named Hermes smiled and nodded. " Nostalgic, isn't it? "
Samuel nodded in agreement, “ Aye, it really is. ”
Hermes parked the limousine near the cedar tree and turned off the engine. He opened and closed the door and left the driver's seat. Then, he also opened the backseat door and let the elderly elven hybrid man come out of the vehicle. He was wearing a thick dark emerald green winter coat and a business dark business suit underneath. The people from the Dread Wolves and the settlers curiously noticed the newcomer. Hermes the driver and majordomo was a balding and a bearded dwarven man. He was wearing a brown suit and joining along with his employer.
" You didn't expect to see them again in a new country, sir? " Hermes curiously asked. " Now, there are a lot of people living with them. "
“ I didn’t expect them to be in Foranea. The tribe has grown a lot these past years, ” Samuel commented.
" I think you have heard of another elven hybrid politician who defended and helped Robanian exiles to migrate here and the Dread Wolves to make a living. He would have been the president if he were still living, " he mused.
“ It’s a such a shame. He would’ve been great in leading this country out of dark times, ” Samuel sadly said.
" It must be hard for his surviving family to cope such difficulties. "
“ Indeed, ” Samuel said in agreement.
Just then, another elven ranger with a jet black hair arrived and welcomed the old man and his dwarven aide, " Bonjour, messieurs. How can I help you two? "
" Good morning, my dear lad, " Hermes answered politely. " My master has been looking for the tribe elder and leader who needs to speak to her. "
" Who you might be? "
" My name's Hermes Lawson, and this is my master, Mr. Samuel Evans. "
" D'accord, oui. " the ranger elf boy nodded and headed to the tribe elder's tent.
Samuel followed the ranger elf boy to the Elder’s tent and gestured Hermes to come along. Just then, a raven haired full blooded elven woman who was dressed in a long red gown stepped out of the tent. Samuel and Hermes smiled and nodded at her in greeting.
" Gentlemen, welcome. I have expected you both to arrive, " she said and gestured her to enter the tent. " Please come in. "
“ Thank you, ” Samuel gratefully said as he entered the tent.
" Would you like to have a warm cup of tea? " Merrill asked her visitors.
“ Aye, ” Samuel nodded at Merrill.
" Yes, madam. Thank you, " Hermes chimed in.
The elven woman boiled water in the kettle and placed some leaves. She was waiting for it to warm and brew. Then, she spoke to him, " It seems you'll have a word with me, Mister Evans. Would you like to share me something? "
“ We’re here to donate supplies and money to the Dread Wolves Tribe, ” Samuel answered.
" I see, " Merrill nodded. " A former soldier turned businessman and philantrophist never forgets his roots for being a Dread Wolf. I appreciate your generosity from your end. It will be very useful in the coming days ahead. "
“ You’re welcome, Merrill. I only wish to assist the Dread Wolves Tribe with their Umbral situation. They’re my family and didn’t want to see anything horrendous happening to them, ” Samuel gratefully said.
" Understandable. We have increased in number nowadays, " the village elder spoke. " The people living from those affected towns have been staying with us for the past several days. You might heard of the Martinnois fog, I presume. Such dangers have been happening here. "
" Indeed, it is, madam, " Hermes agreed. " We just read from the newspapers and heard from the radio. Foranea has been one of Iliad's most problematic nations aside from what happened in Hetland since Syrvania won the war. "
" I can see what this nation has been coming from. "
“ Not to mention, we heard of what has happened to the president and vice president of Foranea. It’s quite tragic, ” Samuel added.
" Do you know what happened to the real president of Foranea? " Hermes asked curiously and saw the elder finished pouring the tea and serving them.
" I can sense he was being replaced by an impostor despite he's in coma, " she replied held a tray of tea and biscuits.
" Goodness, who's going to replace him?! "Hermes asked with a concern.
" One from the Umbral Cult. "
“ These Umbral cultists are extremely evil and cold-hearted. This will throw the whole country into even more chaos, ” Samuel said and took his tea and biscuits.
" Indeed, even our own warriors had difficulties back in the Candlemas incident. Fortunately, they have apprehended those terrorists, but I'm afraid there will be more to come. "
Hermes heavily sighed and nodded, looking at his master and the host of this tent.
“ Will the Dread Wolves be safe from the upcoming new threats? ” Samuel asked with concern.
" The tribe council and I have decided to train our own warriors as well as the new members and the temporarily settlers, " Merrill explained. " Soon enough, this nation will be succumbed with another annihilation just like Robania. We need to prepare as soon as possible even it is risky. "
" Mister Evans, sir, " Hermes called his master and asked. " Shall we? "
“ Aye, ” Samuel nodded at Hermes.
" Right, I'll be right back, " his dwarven servant left immediately from the tent.
" Thank you for remembering to visit us, Mister Evans, " she looked at the elven hybrid man.
“ You’re welcome. I didn’t forget home and family here at the Dread Wolves, ” Samuel smiled at Merrill.
" We do have some returnees and new members. The former Ravenclaws. The lightbearer, Catherine Knightfall. The journalist: Neil Ingrid Carver. The nurse: Sophia Graveheart-Aurand. The two physician spouses: Doctors Amnon Joseph and Glenda Joy Montmartre. The former cultists and Chergarian engineers; Ivo Matthias Fischer and Chirox Ludwig Friedrich. But Mister Friedrich is a full-blooded human under police custody and protection. Doctors Montmartre and Mister Fischer have elven ancestry in their bloodline. "
“ Hybrids? That means their magical capabilities is enhanced ten fold if I’m correct, ” Samuel theorized.
" It might be a possibility, Mister Evans. You should have meet the Montmartres as well as Mister Fischer. You will be pleased to meet them. Although, Mister Fischer is related to the Montmartres through ancestry. "
“ He’s their distant relative? ” Samuel curiously asked.
" Through my stepchildren, Christopher and Byleth Knightfall. He had siblings named Eliah and Arielle Montmartre. Doctor Montmartre has descended from the first Blue Knight and Mister Fischer came from his maternal roots of Arielle Montmartre-Augustin, a geomancer. "
“ I see. I’d would like you to meet these Montmartres, They seem to want to aid people like I do, ” Samuel said and intrigued.
" Well, the Eluvian will do, " Merrill nodded and gestured her visitor to look at the mirror. " I need you to focus on the mirror. "
Samuel could see Hermes being aided by some elves and humans carrying those boxes coming from the limousine. They placed the boxes into the supply tent. Just then, he looked at the Eluvian and kept focusing of some people he had in mind. Suddenly, he saw a blonde Elandric-Foranean pediatrician carrying a child. She curiously looked at the elven-hybrid man from the magic mirror.
" Good morning, who's this? " she asked curiously.
“ I’m Samuel Evans, a businessman and philanthropist. I came to the Dread Wolves Village to aid the people here, ” he introduced himself.
" Oh, it's nice to meet you, I'm Doctor Glenda Joy Montmartre, pediatrician, " Glenda replied and carried her child. " Are you looking for my husband and brother-in-law? "
Samuel nodded at Glenda, “ Aye. I wish to meet them. Merrill told me good things about them.”
" Right, " Glenda nodded and turned to her husband who came from the yard and brother-in-law at the kitchen. " Amnon, Ivo, someone has come to meet from the Eluvian. "
" Who? " the two male voices echoed from the background.
" It's Mr. Samuel Evans. "
The blonde bespectacled and moustached man came along with his ginger haired older brother. They sat on the living room couch where Glenda and Emie were found.
" Bonjour, Bonne Annèe! " they greeted in unison.
“ Good morning. I’m Samuel Evans, a former member of the Dread Wolves Tribe and an old friend of Merrill. You must be Mr. Montmatre and Mr. Fischer, ” he introduced himself to the two human-elven hybrids.
" It's Doctor Amnon Joseph Montmartre, " the Akrovian-Foranean general practitioner politely replied. " It's a pleasure to meet you. "
" It's also a pleasure to meet you as well, mein Herr. My name's Ivo Matthias Augustin-Fischer, " the Chergarian geomancer and mechanic chimed-in.
" So, how we can help, monsieur? "
“ I was wondering if you wish to aid me in reinforcing and resupply the Dread Wolves to prepare for the upcoming chaos, ” Samuel answered.
" Well, it's our day off and we're free, " Amnon replied. " But my wife has our daughter to take care. "
" Ja, " Ivo added. " We'll check on you through the eluvian. "
" Thank you, Ivo. You guys can stay safe before returning home. "
“ Splendid. Thank you, my friends, ” Samuel smiled.
" Monsieur Evans, we'll teleport there. Just a heads up, " the general practitioner reminded.
Samuel nodded in understanding, “ Very well. ”
Amnon and Ivo nodded back and had put on their winter clothes, hats, and scarves. The two gentlemen waved at Glenda and Emie. The new mother waved back at them as the little girl cooed. They stepped into the mirror in a matter of seconds and arrived quickly through Merrill's tent.
" Doctor Montmartre, Mister Fischer, " the village elder greeted the two gentlemen.
" Bonjour, Gozposha Merrill, " Amnon greeted her. " We never expected to come here. "
" Güten Morgen, Frau Merrill, " Ivo also greeted and chuckled. " It looks like I'm back again! "
" Very well, you two. Samuel has some instructions with regards to those supplies. "
“ They need to be handled with care and are quite heavy, ” Samuel warned.
" Are there any medications that need to be refrigerated or stored in room temperature? " Amnon asked.
" We might as well need to inspect them, mon frère. " Ivo suggested. " We may consider those packages as fragile or special handling. "
" Da. We'll keep that noted. "
“ Aye, I brought a few medical supplies as well. Those will need to be refrigerated as soon as possible, ” Samuel answered.
" A tent may not suffice for those, " Amnon replied and crossed his arms. " Unless, we need Janusz to cast a spell of refrigeration. "
" I might try create a concrete storage with a refrigeration room. Do you have a piece of paper or blue print or a pencil? " Ivo asked.
" So, what is it for, Mister Fischer? " Merrill asked.
" I need schematics or a structured planning for this one. Let's see if my geomancy and pre-engineering skills will fit and measure with this supplies warehouse."
Merrill handed him a large scroll paper and a quill and ink as Ivo nodded and received them. He started to make some outlines, calculations, measurements, and a detailed sketch and layout. Amnon, Samuel, and Merrill watched geomancer-future engineer working for the warehouse.
“ You’ll be able to build this with your geomancy? ” Samuel curiously asked.
" Ja, Herr Evans, " Ivo nodded with determination and explained. " For ordinary manual labor, this will take several weeks into months. The only thing, we can consider is the electrical and cooling system. My brother may be a doctor, but his bioelectric spells can help. Then, our friend has cyrogenetic spells to maintain the refrigeration for food and medicine. We have some people in the tribe who can maintain the warehouse's facilities for day to day basis. "
Amnon and Merrill studied the structural lay-out of the supplies warehouse.
" You might as well consider some exit and entry points. Fire extinguishers and emergency first aid kit when something happens and someone entered the facility, " Amnon reminded his brother.
" Ja. I have included fire exit points and a station for first aid and fire extinguisher, " Ivo nodded and pointed at the spaces where the mentioned areas were included.
" To fortify it, we need a spell for barrier as well, " Merrill added.
" Wünderbar! Good idea! "
“ Splendid! I can’t wait for the warehouse to be finished! ” Samuel enthusiastically said.
" Well, it's about time to be built, " Merrill nodded in agreement.
" Herr Arthas and the others may be surprised on this one, but we'll see. "
[Six to Eight Hours Later]
The construction of the supplies warehouse took less than a day with the help of Ivo's geomancy spells and a team of builders and blacksmiths from Arthas and the settlers. The people from the Dread Wolves Tribe and the other settlers were curiously watching and murmuring when they witnessed the storage warehouse.
The four entered the newly constructed warehouse and made some inspections. Just then, Christopher, Byleth, Valeera, and Matthijs also helped in generating the light and electricity along with Amnon. It was well-lighted. Janusz was informed of the project as he casted a cryogenic spell for the refrigeration room. Merrill casted a spell to fortify the structure.
Finally, the storage warehouse was constructed as the boxes and crates have arrived and delivered by trucks. On Father Agapov's behalf, Amnon prayed for safekeeping and benediction of the new warehouse within the Dread Wolves Tribe.
Samuel looked around the warehouse with astonishment. “ This is extraordinary! ”
" Danke schön, merci beaucoup, " Ivo replied.
" It's really a good idea to bring you here, mon frère! "
Amnon commented.
" Well, at least. This could be also used for our future generations. "
“ Aye! The Dread Wolves Tribe will be absolutely grateful, ” Samuel said.
" Well, there you go, this is your first structural engineering project, " Amnon commented.
" Ja, " Ivo nodded in agreement and smiled. " Never thought of this to come true, even I'm waiting for the first semester this year. "
“ You’ll be great engineer, my friend. Perhaps, among the Dread Wolves, ” Samuel said to Ivo.
" Ja, " Ivo nodded in agreement. " It's a beginning for them to see the developments. "
[Church of Saint Isaiah, Monoceros Keep, 1st of After Witching, Year 427, 9:20 PM]
Father Mar-Vell Agapov finished his duties throughout the day when he was in his bedroom and started his meditation and prayer. After reading the Holy Ouranist scriptures in Luski, there was an imagery of a man who had come from a lost country and imbued with powerful Umbral influence. He wanted to cheat death to be there with his family and revenge for his countrymen. He was using a forbidden shadow magic with wolf's blood. The man transformed into a ravenous werewolf.
He widened his eyes in shock after seeing the prophecy and exclaimed, " O Bozhe, nyet! Yeshche odin bezumets priblizhayetsya k vtorzheniyu! (Oh, Heavens, No! Another madman is coming before the invasion!) "
The elderly elven priest had come out of his room and walked to the hallway, peeking at the window with a view of the city covered with snow. Vavrinec noticed the elderly priest became uneasy and became too silent.
“ Are you okay? ” Vavrinec asked with concern.
" Nyet. (No.) " he sternly spoke.
“What’s wrong?” Vavrinec asked Father Agapov.
" I.... saw a man...transforming into a werewolf. He does not belong to those Tallish werewolves nor the Ordrè de Damocles and Sheeva's family. He has just come from the lost country of Robania. He wanted pure revenge, " Mar-Vell anxiously spoke.
“ A surviving Robanian? How is that possible? Who does this man want to enact revenge on? ” Vavrinec asked with concern.
" I know you had a long term dispute with the Hettic soldiers and your people. Then, your country recently won the war, " Mar-Vell answered. " You're also aware of a dispute between Robania and Chergaria eleven to twelve years ago. We have exiled Robanians living in this country as well as Rebel groups who remained there. I presume this man belonged to Sons of Robania. "
“ So, this man wants to enact vengeance on the Foranea government for exiling his people? He’ll be disappointed because the Umbral Cults beat it to him.” Vavrinec said to Father Agapov.
" No, it's Chergaria. The Chergarians will come here very soon. This poor man will be in great danger if they come after him. "
" Is this man a friend or foe? ” Vavrinec asked.
" A foe for the others unless if we bring him back into his real senses like the others who defected the Umbral Cult. "
“ That might be difficult since he’s a werewolf. He’ll loose control on anyone he sees, ” Vavrinec commented.
" Unless, we need two or three doctors who will observe him aside from me, " Mar-Vell replied.
“ That could work. But how can we find this man? ” Vavrinec asked.
" Well, no one knows if this exiled and corrupted Robanian had gone, unless if someone from the lost country knows him. "
“ We’ll need to search for a Robanian then, " Vavrinec said.
" I hope no one from the Umbral Cult shall take him and make him as a weapon of crime and terror, " the elderly Akrovian elven priest seriously replied and turned to the window, showing the cold winter breeze and snow.
“ Same here, " Vavrinec said with concern and nodded.
