Chapter 4

[Ouranist Church and Convent of Saint Isaiah, Monoceros Keep, Foranea 5:39 AM, 17th of Umbral-Tide/Darktide, Year 426]

A tall, well-built, and pale-skinned bearded blonde elf man with a middle aged appearance, royal blue irises in his eyes, and wearing in his sleeping clothes woke up from his bedroom at the priests's residential quarters and placed his glasses on his face. He read the Ouranist scriptures, knelt down, lifted his head and arms upward, and started praying in Luski his mother tongue.

" Moya dorogaya Nebesnaya Mat' Fotida, (My Dear Heavenly Mother Photis,)

YA poklonyayus' vam vsem serdtsem i dushoy etim utrom. Spasibo za takoy prekrasnyy den', chtoby otprazdnovat' zhizn' i lyubov'. (I worship You with all my heart and soul this morning. Thank you for such a wonderful day to celebrate life and love.)

Prosti moi grekhi i pregresheniya. YA chelovek, pavshiy neskol'ko raz, no po Tvoyey blagodati i milosti ya do sikh por dostoin sluzhit' Tebe i Tvoim detyam, kak i my. Pozhaluysta, pokazhite mne videniye, chto mne nuzhno, chtoby podelit'sya s kem-nibud'. (Forgive for my sins and transgressions. I am man who has fallen for several times, but by Your grace and mercy, I am still worthy of serving You and Your children like us. Please show me a vision what I need to share anyone.)

YA po-prezhnemu budu proslavlyat' Tebya videniyami i ucheniyami. (I will still glorify You through visions and teaching.)

Amin'. (Amen.) "

The Akrovian elf priest spent in his quiet time for a while, until he saw a vision of young warriors living in their peaceful and satisfying lives after dealing with such disaster and danger. He smiled and sighed in relief. The second vision he had was an angel returning home to his beloved pregnant wife who would bear a young child. Also, he saw another pregnant woman from an elf man who would have a child. He was smiling at the prophetic outcome. On the third vision, he saw the same angel who would lose his sword from a demon. The angel had to create a new sword and an armor to protect his people which he had to undergo some trials. The last vision took place in a futuristic time. A strange looking man was talking to his four chosen people and mentioning a chaotic end as he would rule the world under his reign.

He quickly opened and widened his eyes in shock, huffing. He took a glass of water and drank to pacify himself. Then, he uttered a prayer in Luski again. After his prayers, he took a shower, changed into shirt and overalls, ate his breakfast, and started gardening the church yard.

" Vous vous êtes occupé aujourd'hui, Père Mar-Vell, (You have busied yourself today, Father Mar-Vell,) " a middle aged Foranean human nun chimed in. " Êtes-vous censé vous préparer pour la messe de demain? (Are you supposed to prepare for the mass tomorrow?) "

Father Mar-Vell Agapov paused in cutting and trimming the overgrown bushes, looked at his female fellow church servant, and replied in Franken," Faire les corvées m'aidera à vider mon esprit avant de préparer le sermon de demain, Sœur Minerva. (Doing the chores will help me clear off my mind before I prepare the sermon for tomorrow, Sister Minerva.) "

" Je vois. (I see.) " Minerva nodded. " Père, vous avez un visiteur qui a besoin de vous parler. Nous, les Sœurs, la Mère Supérieure Dinah et les Pères du couvent continuerons votre jardinage. Cette conversation vous semble très importante. (Father, you have a visitor who needs to talk to you. We, the Sisters, the Mother Superior Dinah, and the Fathers of the convent shall continue your gardening. That talk seems very important to you.) "

Mar-Vell heard his fellow church servant and handed his gardening shears to her. Minerva nodded at him and looked at her fellow convent people coming to help her in gardening and harvesting the vegetables. The Akrovian church elf headed to the place of worship and slowly opened the door, removing his hat and gardening gloves.

He saw a female figure from a distance who was silently sitting on the church benches and praying. She turned out to be an elf-woman with an armor. Just beside her seat, she had a Morn-Blade. Father Mar-Vell silently walked over and sat beside her, waiting for her to finished praying. He had his both hands placed on his thighs. The lady paladin elf finished praying and looked at the church elf.

" Excuse me, are you a gardener of this church? " she curiously asked him. " I am looking for Lieutenant General Mar-Vell Agapov of the Akrovian Air Force. Do you know where he is situated at? "

" Privyet, Gozposha. The man you are referring to is yours truly, " Mar-Vell softly chuckled. " I have just come from my gardening chores when my one of my ministers reminded me to see you. "

" My apologies, Mar-Vell Agapov. But why are you here in this place of worship and prayer? "

" It's a long story. For some decades, I have exchanged my life from a war hero into a servant and minister of Lady Photis and Her Hosts, " he continued. " Some people address me as 'rabbi', 'reverend', 'pastor', or 'father'. You can call me with any of those titles as I appreciate your respect, but please do not address me from my previous title in the Akrovian military. I am no longer a man of war, but I am an advocate of peace. "

" I understand now, Father Mar-Vell, " she nodded and introduced herself. " My name is Lady Valeera Graveheart from the Dread Wolves Tribe and a new templar of the Paladin Brotherhood. I am honored to meet you. "

" Likewise, it's a pleasure to meet you too, Valeera, " the Akrovian elf priest smiled and shook hands with her as the Paladin elf responded. " Have you eaten your breakfast? Would you like some juice, tea, milk, coffee, or a glass of water and some snacks? "

" I have eaten my breakfast, Father, but thank you for the offer. "

" All right, then. How can I help? " he asked.

" Father Mar-Vell, I have just graduated from Odyssea Academy's contractor guild involvement after my father's passing and continued his work from there, " Valeera replied. " I have to come to report and talk to you about some important things. "

" My sincerest condolences to your family, Valeera, " he heavily sighed. " I had a prophetic vision two months ago in relation to you and your father's passing. Mind if you could hear it? "

" Yes, sir. "

Mar-Vell cleared his throat and seriously spoke, " I saw a noble elf man and his lot going into a far away land with an unending winter. An evil knight violently took the elf man's life as his lot greatly mourned for him. A young brave warrioress took his place and continued his unfinished battles. "

Valeera sadly sighed, " Indeed, your prophecy was fulfilled. "

" I am so sorry if I needed to say this. I have never spoken about that to anybody until you have just come, " he replied. " So, are you continuing with your late father's exploits? "

" Yes, I am, " she nodded. " But not only on his battles against the goblins. I also need to warn you of such Umbral activity that will happen in the outskirts of the city or nearby villages which I have come across. Your people need to brace for any troubles that arise. "

Mar-Vell cocked his eyebrows and had fingers crossed, contemplating to what the female paladin had mentioned. He recalled on another prophetic vision he had seen a few days ago. There were traces of darkness lingering around the Fortress City. Some remained unknown and possessed a group of people. Some had joined the darkness. Others rejected it and ended up in extreme bloodshed. The Akrovian elf priest-prophet heavily sighed and deeply thought of what he could say.

" Father Mar-Vell? " she called his attention.

" Oh, I am so sorry, Valeera. My bad! My bad! My goodness, gracious! " the elf priest startled and continued. " A few days ago, I saw the Darkness lingered in this city. Some joined and the others had forsaken it and got terminated. I believe my prophecy is related to your warning. "

" I understood. "

" But what I am concerned of is there are two lives who will come into their existence, " he continued. " Just this morning, I saw an angel returning home to his beloved pregnant wife who would bear a young child. Also, I saw another pregnant woman from an elf man who will have a child. "

" An angel? " Valeera raised her eyebrows in doubt and asked. " I have never seen that creature in my life. But the other elf and his wife is pretty much understandable. How can an angel meet a human wife and bear a child? Can you tell more about him, Father? "

" I saw a vision nine months ago after I offered my prayers to the Heavenly Hosts. I saw an angel who lost a dear friend after an evil knight took his life and his right hand in another battle. I was so alarmed and prayed harder that he was extremely hurt, " Mar-Vell explained. " The angel has flown away from his friends and returned to where he truly belongs. Now, he is seen working and healing for the sick and the wounded. He is looking forward to have a child in my most recent vision. In my third vision, he is the same angel who will lose his sword from a demon. He has to create a new sword and an armor to protect his people which he will experience such trials and tribulation. Valeera, you must find this angel before he and his family will be failed and succumbed by the darkness. "

Valeera deeply thought of the elderly elf priest and prophet's words and looked puzzled at the image of an angel, " An angel who lost a friend and a right hand, just left his friends, and returned to his family for a child? Working and healing for the sick and the wounded? What has he something to do with losing a sword and remodelling it along with an armor? "

" You look very perplexed? Did I say something wrong, Valeera? " he asked curiously.

" The four visions of him make sense to me, Father Mar-Vell. I know who he really is, " she answered. " But your other prophecy seems too vague, Is it bound to happen? "

" Definitely, it will happen, " Mar-Vell nodded. " I will visit him at his work soon for my medical check-up and tell him of my prophecy. But not tomorrow, I will prepare my sermon for worship. "

" I understand, Father, " Valeera smiled and agreed. " I have to ask my uncle and aunt of where he is resided. I hope I can meet his wife and soon his coming daughter. "

" May the Heavenly Hosts guide and bless you with this exploit. "

" Thank you and I will. "

17th of Umbral-Tide/Darktide, Year 426]

After assisting and supervising the two female carers for his mother's breakfast, taking a shower, and changing her clothes, Amnon felt hungry and exhausted which it was his turn to eat his meal and drink his coffee. While ingesting, he was flipping the pages of the newspaper and reading the article.

" UN MYSTÉRIEUX DRAGON ÉCARLATE VOLANT À NOUVEAU SIGNALÉ AU-DESSUS DU DARSAN (MYSTERIOUS FLYING SCARLET DRAGON AGAIN REPORTED OVER DARSAN) "

" It was a few months ago when Rin tamed a dragon, " Amnon curiously thought and kept reading. " I wonder why there's another one coming? "

The general practitioner continued reading his newspaper and eating his breakfast as his pediatrician wife was talking over the phone. It turned out to be her cousin Wilma who was having a honeymoon in Aulia with her elderly wife in the background noise. Odette happened to be flirting and teasing at Glenda's cousin.

" Tell me, Glen. Did you know who's that guy who kept looking at me in the party last week? " Wilma curiously asked.

" Maybe, it's one of your party guests, " Glenda answered. " I hadn't asked his name, though. Why did you ask? "

" Oh, nothing. I'm just wondering. "

" Right. Tell me, where are you exactly in Aulia? "

" At a seaside hotel in St. Essa. Maybe, later. Odette and I will take a stroll on the streets and ride on a Gondola, " Wilma cheerfully replied.

" Wow! St. Essa! A gondola ride! Amnon and I never have a chance to get there before! " Glenda happily exclaimed and laughed.

Amnon finished eating his breakfast and placed the dishes in the kitchen sink. Then, he was finishing his drink when he heard the conversation from his wife talking to the phone, accidentally spat his coffee from his mouth, and splattered at his Foranean Army T-Shirt. He immediately picked up a tissue to wipe his mouth and moustache and removed his glasses and T-Shirt, revealing his broad shoulders and muscular physique. He returned his glasses into his face and looked at his wife who was still focusing on the phone and started to wash and rinse his empty dishes and utensils. Then, he dried them with a towel and placed into the dish cabinet. He placed the soiled shirt into the laundry basket.

" I'll just wait for her to finish that conversation and return in reading the newspaper, " Amnon thought and picked it up, focusing on the next title article.

" Zeta Von Braun : nouveau bénéficiaire de la technologie cyborg métallique de Chegarian (Zeta Von Braun: New Receipient of Chegarian metallic cyborg technology) "

" Yet, I wonder if Hextech is involved on that one? " he pondered and kept reading at the article.

" Okay, I think you'll be pretty busy right now. See you next Monday, not this coming one! Bon voyage! Bye! " she greeted cheerfully, ended the call, and turned to her husband who covered himself with a broad page of the newspaper. " Why are you reading that way? Like, you're covering entire face and body with it? "

" Glen...Babe...Uh....I...just..." Amnon awkwardly paused in reply.

" What?! I'm not gonna totally devour you like those crazy monsters and strange people that you fought before. Just tell me, what's wrong? It's okay if you sound awkward. "

" I...accidentally...spat coffee...from my...mouth...and...spilled my...shirt...I...never...did...that...before...only...for...the....first.
..time..."

Glenda intently smirked, grabbed the newspaper from her husband, saw his strong and well-built physique, and kissed his cheeks. She flirtingly said, " I knew you were hiding something, Doctor Love! I have seen you shirtless ever since in our Odyssea Academy days! It's no secret for me! "

" Babe...I was just..." he paused and blushed harder than ever. " Nevermind..."

" As you were saying, Cheesecake? "

Amnon stood up from his seat and lowly whispered to her ear, " Direct Trigger words: St. Essa, Aulia, Gondola, Carnival, Shuffler, Right Hand..."

Glenda sadly sighed, tightly hugged her husband to comfort him, and sincerely replied, " I'm so sorry I didn't mean to trigger you. It just happened to be Wilma and Odette are having a vacation there. I was hoping if we could get to that place, but I understood that you experienced such trauma. We'll get to Greg and Cynthia, today. I know you can get over with this. I'm always here, Amnon. "

Amnon remained non-speaking to his wife and hugged her back, feeling her warmth and love. He has forgiven her mistake, however he had to take off his negative emotions lingering in his mind.

[Lestrade Residence, Aveline, Foranea 1:20 PM,
17th of Umbral-Tide/Darktide, Year 426]

" So, there were instances that you experienced such emotional breakdowns back in previous two missions prior to your resignation, " Greg sat down on the couch and looked at Amnon who happened to be sitting on another couch across him. " I will give you time think further and let me know if you are ready to tell me your experiences. "

The Akrovian-Foranean general practitioner retrospectively and deeply thought of those experiences with his group. He clasped his hands and took a deep breath, recalling that night when he and his wife talked to the widow Fiona Graveheart. That gloomy and vivid memory of losing Kintor was his first turning point.

" Greg, I clearly remember when it started, " Amnon broke his silence. " I witnessed how Kintor Graveheart had exactly died. That was almost a month ago in Hurokka. We were inside that castle. There was an evil knight called the Alkaid. Me and my group were fighting against him. I saw how the enemy struck my elven friend. He had his both arms cut-off and a stab wound at the heart. He died in my arms and uttered his final words. I was left with an intense sorrow, grief, and rage in taking down the Alkaid. I became apathetic when I performed the post-mortem examination and continued fighting for the next enemy. "

" What happened? Who was the next enemy? "

" The warrioress Marisol, " he answered. " She casted a spell where I became mentally blank and became more emotionally numb than ever. "

" Goodness. What did you see? "

" Those memories of fighting the Chegarians in Robania which I never wanted to revisit. I saw how my wife and the others had perished. "

" I understood those experiences had triggered your post traumatic stress disorder. "

" Definitely, " he nodded. " It had returned in that way. "

" Aside from that, did your panic attacks occur? " Greg asked.

" It did when I was..."

Amnon paused and started to sweat and trembled his both hands. His Aldernian psychiatrist looked concerned at him and saw him hyperventilating. Dr. Lestrade instantly took him a glass of water and let him drink. The general practitioner instantly emptied his glass of water.

" Amnon, take deep breaths and hold...inhale...hold...exhale, " he calmly ordered. " Please repeat these for 10 times. "

Amnon nodded and followed his therapist-friend's orders. Greg waited and wrote his observations until the younger physician finished.

" How are you feeling? " he asked.

" Much better..." Amnon calmly spoke. " I think I can speak now. It was more than a week ago. My group and I headed into a basement ballroom where the Shuffler was found. I was fighting and curing the injured. He found me praying and took out a card to make us freeze in time. "

" Dark magic from Umbral origins, perhaps? "

" I cannot say exactly if it is or not. "

" Did you still remember what the Shuffler said to you? "

" So many choices... So many targets. But you...The Astromancer is fun, but you are just annoying. I can hear you, uttering those little prayers to that wretched God of yours. And yet, I imagine up in that Heaven of hers; she does nothing but fiddle with arrogance and ignorance alike...So I think it's time I make a statement against her. Worry not my friend, I won't be taking your life just yet. That'd be too easy. But for a man such as yourself... swelling with blind reverence... what I'm about to do might be worse than death...And now, time shall resume as normal..."

Greg frowned in disgust upon hearing it and kept writing from Amnon's recollections, heavily sighing. He looked at his younger physician friend with concern and asked, " I assume you had manifested a severe panic attack after losing your right hand. Was that right? "

" Yes, afterwards I started binge drinking at the Aulian orc-man's house. It was around 8 glasses of red wine. "

" Your wife knew it. "

" I wrote her a letter before returning home. "

Greg placed his notes and pen from his side table. He sat and crouched forward, looking at Amnon. He replied, " From what I have heard, your PTSD and panic attacks were becoming from prevalent as well as you're transitioning to your pre-alcoholism after your encounter with the Shuffler. As I mentioned to you in the letter, your war shocks from Robania would take time. However those episodes will eventually bring you into severe depression and anxiety. Amnon, you are a doctor and an expectant father. I don't want you to succumb in such mental distress. I know it will be very difficult for you to maintain a normal and functional life as you are making up to, especially your marriage, family life, and career. I am considering to give you some anti-depressants to cure you mentally, but this will affect your overall physical health. "

" So, how shall I deal with this? " Amnon asked.

" You wrote me a response letter with regards about your angelic encounter at Kosmos Building and mentioned of flushing away all of your negativities. With that, I am thinking of the same thing which I have done to my patients who are in the border line of a severe mental illness. Perhaps, your bioelectricity spells can help as well. "

" Radiant shock therapy, then. "

" We will make it milder as soon as possible from your neurons and neurotransmitters upto the entire nervous system will return to normality and make them even better than your current condition," Greg answered and confidently smiled. " We are going to re-enact like what the angel has done to you before. "

" Understandable, " Amnon nodded.

" In case, if you feel the same episodes, you need to shock yourself or divert your mind into something productive. Don't forget to take deep breaths in calming yourself. Always meditate and think positive thoughts. "

" I will. I'm ready. "

" Good, " the Aldernian psychiatrist stood up from his seat, nodded, and casted a spell of radiance on his hands. " Amnon, please set your 12 volts of your Bio-Shock. "

" Got it, " the Akrovian-Foranean physician also stood up and snapped his left fingers as his bioelectricity spells were mildly charging in the same level of energy. " Greg, I'm ready! Go for it! "

Dr. Gregorius Lestrade touched his younger friend's forehead. The combined warm and radiant rush from the psychiatrist's spells and the general practitioner's bioelectricity had affected his entire nervous system and throughout his entire body. The radiant shock therapy was effective as the severe degree of trauma and stress were all expelled and healed.

[TWO TO THREE WEEKS AGO: Dr. Montmartre's Room, Kosmos Building, Odyssea Academy]

" I am so sorry... I failed saving my troops, my patients, my father, and now Kintor and Sypher. I don't know what to do now..." Amnon apathetically spoke.

" No child. You have not..." the angel calmly replied. " We have seen you through trial and tribulation, and we have never perceived you as less than stalwart and faithful not just to the Light, but to your friends and family. "

" I believe in you so much. I tried harder and better as a physician, " Dr. Montmartre's eyes began to water down on his face and made his eyeglasses wet. He removed them.

" Though the lady cannot directly intervene, us agents may provide those undeniably faithful with the strength to continue through the darkest time. Amnon, I have come to let the Lady's light into your body; that it might flush away the darkness haunting your body and soul. Will you let me? "

" Yes, please... take away all of these negativities from me...."

" Then remain still, ye faithful. And let this blessing be a testament that the Heavens see you, and acknowledge your faith, love and strength."

[Present Time]

" Amnon! Amnon! AMNON! " Greg loudly called his younger friend and instantly shook his unconscious body. " Oh for Heaven's sakes! Wake up! Wake up! "

Amnon was still unresponsive, but still breathing. The elderly psychiatrist anxiously took the carotid pulse on his neck and sighed in relief. The young physician slowly opened his eyes and smiled, sitting up.

" Oh Gods's sakes, Greg! I'm alive and fine! " Amnon chuckled when his therapist friend helped him to stand up.

" Thank goodness, I thought I have lost you there. How are you feeling right now? "

" Much better than before. I got black out from the re-enactment, didn't I? "

" I never realised that we made it too intensed. I'm so sorry we really got carried away. "

" How long I was out? "

" Thirty-five minutes. I'm really sorry, Amnon. We..."

" Greg, you don't need to apologise. Thank you..." the Akrovian-Foranean sincerely smiled and gave his old friend a gentle pat in the back. " You have done your best with Lady Photis's guidance and help. "

" You're welcome there, chap. We'll get some tea and snacks. It seems our wives are waiting for us. "

" Thank you. That will be a pleasure. "

Stepping out of the therapy room, the two men headed downstairs and reached the garden porch. They saw their wives discussing things and taking some tea and shortbread. Glenda was pleased to see her husband in brighter spirits than before. Amnon sincerely smiled and grinned, hugging his wife.

" It's good to have my good ol' Amnon back! " she gleefully cheered.

" You've been always there for me, Glen. I'll be catching up what I have missed, " he kissed her cheeks.

" Greg-dear, we saw some lights at the window. What was that? " Cynthia asked curiously.

" It's a radiant shock treatment which our friend needs to undergo for the second time, " Greg interjected and turned to the Montmartre spouses who were happily in-love. " Now, look at them, I brought Amnon back to the way he was before. "

" Thank goodness, he's now recovered, " she sighed in relief and smiled.

" He is having a restart of his life here, " he nodded in agreement. " By the way, Cynthia, what were you and Glenda discussing about? "

" She was suprised to see Amnon home. I believe we have discussed how we can visit them once the baby is born. "

" I see, " Dr. Lestrade called the physician spouses and gestured. " You two might consider to eat your snacks first. You don't want your afternoon tea to get colder. "

" Oh, thanks, Greg. " Glenda replied and gestured her husband to take their tea and snacks.

[Montmartre Residence, Monoceros Keep, Foranea 5:45 PM,
17th of Umbral-Tide/Darktide, Year 426]

Upon returning from the town of Aveline, they parked the car on the driveway and knocked on the door. Amnon and Glenda heard a loud banging of the door inside their house and recognised the elderly female voice yelping in Luski. Her Akrovian caregivers' voices were also heard as well.

" Goodness, Mama Karola's in crisis again, " Glenda anxiously muttered and turned to her spouse. " It's too delicate for me to confront her that way. "

" Glen, let me handle this, " Amnon knocked on the door. " Just stay in the living room. "

As the door was opened, his two younger siblings looked harrassed and stressed out. The physician spouses grew more concerned than ever. Pierre and Marie were unsure in how they could disclose of what had transpired.

" Sparky...Big Sis Glen...We're having code red inside the house, " his younger brother anxiously spoke.

" I know what you mean, Pierre. I need to see mama right now, " Amnon seriously said and became worried.

" Big Bro, I don't think she's not very lucid enough to talk to you and Big Sis, " Marie reminded in worry and explained. " When Pierre and I came home, the house became topsy-turvy. Ilyana and Monika were struggling to deal with mama. They told us that she was about to take her meds, but she placed them down the drain. Mama angrily accused them as demons. I tried to talk to her and showed some pictures, but she insisted that she couldn't remember anyone. Then, mama took out papa's cane and tried to hit us. "

Pierre interjected, " Like literally, here's what she said, 'Kto ty, chert voz'mi? Radi Iliady, ya dazhe ne znayu tebya! Vam luchshe uyti otsyuda, zloumyshlenniki! (Who the hell are you? For Iliad's sakes, I don't even know you! You'd better get out of here, intruders!) ' "

" Cheesecake, I think I need to sing to her when she's already calm, " Glenda looked at her spouse.

" I'll call you if she's ready to listen to us. I have an idea, " Amnon turned to his wife and siblings. " Pierre, Marie, please look after Glen. I'll call you guys if I need further help. "

" Be careful, Big Bro. She's gonna hit you if you get near her, " Marie reminded.

" You three stay in the living room. "

As the three remained in the mentioned area of the house, Amnon instantly rushed towards upstairs as Monika and Ilyana became exhausted and stressed out of dealing with a demented elderly woman.

" YA slyshal, chto zdes' proizoshlo. Mne zhal', chto ona dostavila tebe mnogo khlopot. (I heard what happened here. I'm sorry that she caused you a lot of trouble.) " the physician bowed his head and apologised at them.

" Amnon, slava bogu, ty doma! (Amnon, thank goodness you're home!) " the younger carer with a long raven ponytailed hair named Monika sighed in replied. " Vam ne nuzhno izvinyat'sya pered nami. (You don't need to apologise to us.) "

The middle aged blonde carer named Ilyana added, " Ona dazhe ne mozhet vspomnit' nashi imena, a potom krichit na nas, govorya, chto my zloumyshlenniki! My vmeste s vashey zhenoy smogli spravit'sya s ney yeshche do togo, kak nastupili dni, kogda ona zvuchit kak khoroshaya babushka. Inogda ona razdrazhitel'na. My byli v takom sostoyanii okolo vos'mi-devyati mesyatsev. (She can't even remember our names and then screams at us, telling us we are intruders! We along with your wife were able to manage her before even there are days that she sounds like a nice grandma. Occasionally, she's an irrate one. We have been like this for around eight to nine months.) "

" My dumali, chto tvoya mat' oderzhima demonom! (We have been thinking your mother is demon possessed!) "

Amnon heavily sighed and seriously explained to them, " Net.
Ona ne oderzhima demonami. YA upomyanul vam oboim, chto u neye bolezn' Al'tsgeymera. Vy byli svidetelyami yeye priznakov i simptomov. Seychas yeye bolezn' progressiruyet, i lekarstva zakonchilis'. YA podumayu nad al'ternativoy, no ne uveren, chto eto srabotayet. A poka vam, rebyata, nuzhen nebol'shoy pereryv i prisoyedinyaytes' k troim vnizu. (No. She's not demonic possessed. I mentioned to you both that she has Alzheimer's disease. You have witnessed her signs and symptoms. Now, her illness has progressed and medications are gone. I'll think of an alternative, but not sure if this works. For now, you guys need a break for a while and join the three downstairs.) "

Monika and Ilyana heard the doctor and nodded. They immediately headed downstairs. Dr. Amnon Montmartre entered the spouses's bedroom and turned on the lights. He thought of the Vitality Serum in syringes and the bottles from Gideon and Glenda. From the bedroom refrigerator, he took another syringe and put a plastic needle cap to keep it sealed. Then, he placed it on his syringe pouch.

Leaving the bedroom, he heard a loud banging of the door from his mother's room. Amnon heavily breathed and silently prayed, " Lady Photis, please help me deal with my mother right now. I know there's no exact treatment for Alzheimer's disease and it's degenerative in nature. I really don't know if this Vitality Serum from Phyria would work on her. Please help me to cure her. "

" Derzhis' ot menya podal'she, proklyatyy narushitel'! Ukhodite! (You stay away from me, you damn intruder! Go away!) " the elderly female voice angrily yelled. " YA ne znayu tebya! (I don't know you! ) "

The doctor was inhaling deeply and letting out an exhale when he opened the door. Karola was seen very agitated and confused without a memory of her family members. She was about to hit her son when he instantly grabbed the cane with his artificial right hand.

" Ma, pozhaluysta, opusti trost'. YA ne sobirayus' prichinyat' tebe bol'. (Ma, please put that cane down. I'm not going to hurt you.) " Amnon calmly spoke, trying to convince her.

" Kto ty? (Who are you?) "

" YA tvoy syn. Menya zovut Amnon. Ty yeshche pomnish' menya? (I am your son. My name is Amnon. Can you still remember me?) "

Karola let go of her late husband's cane from her son's hand and meekily looked at him. She cocked her eyebrows and hardly recalled him.

" Mne zhal'. YA ne znayu, kto ty. (I'm sorry. I don't know who you are.) " she sadly sighed and bowed her head.

" Ma, ya tvoy syn. Ty vospityval menya tridtsat' tri goda. (Ma, I am your son. You raised me for thirty-three years.) " Amnon smiled sincerely at her. " YA vse yeshche nikogda ne zabyvayu tebya. Ty moya mat'. (I still never forget you. You're my mother.) "

" YA tvoya mat'? Ty yeshche pomnish' menya? (Am I your mother? You can still remember me?)" she asked.

Her physician son nodded, recalled the conversation with her at the magic mirror, and replied in Neo-Ydrassi, " Remember you asked me of why did I grow a strong beard? I told you I forgot to shave at work. With that, this reminded you of Papa. You said to me, 'You read my mind, mon petit garçon.' "

" Did I say that to you? "

" Yes, ma. You said that, " Amnon replied and held his mother's hands. " If you can still remember Papa, I know you missed him so much. If he's here with us right now, he doesn't want you to see you that way. He would find you a doctor. Since he's no longer with us, I guess I will be the one who will check on you and give you a treatment. "

" My son is also my doctor? "

Amnon nodded, released his syringe of 20 ml Vitality Serum for his mother, and explained, " Ma, I knew you threw your medicines away. I wished I was there to stop you from doing it. But this one is made of herbs, I will just inject it to you. I just need your arm. This will hurt a bit. "

Karola remained silent and confused at her son's procedure. She was unsure of it and looking at him. Amnon calmly rubbed his mother's back and gave her an assuring smile. She meekily nodded at him when he carefully unfurled her left sleeves and reached on the bicep.

" Ma, u tebya vse yeshche yest' allergiya na lekarstva i ukoly? (Ma, do you still have allergies from medicines and injections?) " he asked.

" Net. (No.) " she instantly responded.

" Stoy spokoyno, ma. Eto budet nemnogo bol'no. (Hold still, ma. This will hurt a bit.) "

Karola moaned and winced her eyes when an injection needle struck her arm. The twenty milliliter of Vitality Serum was gradually entering her bloodstream. Amnon sighed in relief and headed to the bathroom, wrapped the used syringe with a tissue, and instantly disposed it into the waste bin. Then, he returned to his mother and held her hands, walking her to the hallway and downstairs.

" Tebe luchshe, ma? (Are you feeling better, ma?) " he asked.

" YA nachinayu chuvstvovat' sebya luchshe. Podozhdite, teper' ya mogu vspomnit'...(I'm starting to feel better now. Wait, I can remember now...) " Karola replied to her son and felt gradually recovering from her crisis. She intently looked at him and cheerfully asked in Franken. " Jean Meir, c'est toi? Es-tu rentré chez toi? (Jean Meir, is that you? Have you returned home?) "

Amnon heavily sighed and deadpanned, " Ma, je suis ton garçon. (Ma, I am your boy.) "

" I am just kidding! Of course, you are still my dear boy, Amnon. You are becoming just like your father. He looks exactly just like you, " she laughed and kissed her physician son's cheeks as he smiled.

" I am glad your memories are slowly regaining. "

" Thank you for healing me, Amnon. I thought I will be losing myself again, " Karola looked at him and asked. " Are you going to cook dinner again? "

" I still have the energy to prepare our meals. Do you want an Akrovian or a Foranean dish? "

" I want them both! "

[Montmartre Residence, Monoceros Keep, Foranea 11:45AM,
18th of Umbral-Tide/Darktide, Year 426]

The rest of the Montmartre family and the two Akrovian carers for their elderly one went home coming from the Church of Saint Isaiah. They had spent worshipping and listened to Father Mar-Vell Agapov's sermon based from the Ouranist scriptures. This time, it was Pierre and Marie's turn to prepare for lunch. Amnon and Glenda had set the dishes on the table. In the bedroom, Karola and her two carers were still talking in Luski. Just then, they all heard a loud knock on the door.

" I'll go get it, " Pierre said, rushed himself from the kitchen to the living room, opened the door, and introduced himself, shaking hands to the visitors. " Bonjour, je suis le capitaine Pierre Gabriel Montmartre de L'armée Foranéenne. Tu dois être? (I'm Captain Pierre Gabriel Montmartre of the Foranean Army. You must be?) "

" My apologies, I am learning Franken through my wife and not yet fluent enough, " a white haired elven man with silver markings and silvery-white irises on his eyes answered in a smooth Aldernian accent. He was wearing a dark coat with green and white robes underneath. Just beside him, a pregnant brunette human lady wearing with a short blue dress smiled at the Foranean Army captain.

" Oh...right. Neo-Ydrassi, then. My bad, sorry, " he nervously chuckled and asked. " Again, you must be? "

" My name is Christopher Knightfall and this is my wife Celine Ryliea-Knightfall, " the elven man politely introduced himself and his companion. " We are here to meet Doctors Amnon and Glenda Montmartre. "

" How did you guys find this address? " Pierre curiously asked. " My older brother and sister-in-law prefer to meet their patients at the clinic or at the Monoceros Keep General Hospital by appointment for consultation, not here. "

" The winds and with the help and guidance of Lady Photis and Her Hosts tell us of the human physicians' address. It is a very important matter to discuss. If this is a health related concern, then we will do so. We are here for a personal discussion with him and his wife. "

" Okay, I won't argue you with that, " he nodded in agreement. " Come in. "

" Thank you, Captain Montmartre, " Christopher cordially smiled.

" You guys stay in the living room and have a seat. I'll go get them for you. They're at the kitchen right now. "

" Thank you, " Celine nodded as she and her elf husband sat down at the couch.

As Pierre headed off to the dining room and the kitchen area, the Knightfall spouses sat comfortably on the leather couch. Celine curiously eyed around the place and saw some family pictures on the sidetable. They were images of the late Senator Jean Meir Montmartre and Karola Danilovskaya-Montmartre in their younger years. On the second picture frame with a black and white photo, the older Montmartre spouses had three children: Amnon, Pierre, and Marie. On the third one, it was a wedding photo of Amnon and Glenda which they got married while in active military duty. Christopher also saw the images and turned to his wife.

" The house looks serene for a family like this, " the elven commented.

" Did you wish to have one too? " Celine asked.

" Perhaps so, but I get used to remain in a nomadic lifestyle. "

" Understandable. "

" What did you find those pictures, Celine? "

" They seem to be a very loving and caring family, Christopher. Their faces can tell. "

" I agree. We will wait for that child to come out soon, " he assured and touched his wife's large protuding belly.

" Definitely, it will be on a due date, " she kissed his cheeks.

Just then, the physician spouses arrived from the kitchen and dining room and curiously exchanged glances. They never expected to have some visitors at this hour. Christopher and Celine turned their attention to the other couple.

" Greetings, " the elven man politely greeted. " You must be Doctors Amnon and Glenda Montmartre. "

" Yes, we are, " Amnon and Glenda spoke in unison.

" I believe my clan lady had mentioned the both of you to me. This time, we have to discuss about my late cousin, Kintor. "

" Well, we are reminded by my brother-in-law about your visit, " Glenda answered. " Perhaps, we shall invite you over lunch. "

" That will be splendid, thank you, " Celine smiled.

" May we know your names please? " Amnon queried.

" My name is Christopher Knightfall and this is my wife Celine Ryliea-Knightfall. We are honored to meet and see you, Doctors Amnon and Glenda Montmartre. "
