Silver Moon
1 Week Later
It had been just over one week, one week of torment for Jana. She was becoming unbridled. Her temper was flaring and soon she wouldn't be able to control it.
They had disrespected nearly every aspect of her life. They had stopped her from bathing in daylight hours. Forcing her to shower when they were sleeping if she wanted to keep the violence at bay.
Violence was brewing though, there was only so much she would take and soon they would escalate their petty antics.
They isolated her from the camp fire when stopping her from eating failed to work. It didn't bother her because she could hunt for herself and she had already built herself a cock pit long before they had tried that.
They had put bugs in her bed when she was sleeping and a snake in her room during the day. She had come back to see the serpents body stretching, lengthening out as it began preparing for a meal. She had lobbed the damn things head off and burnt it for dinner. Then she had watched as they ate her spit riddled, burnt snake without realising she had made it. It had been therapeutic to watch.
All her anger had been transferred into the body of the snake when she had been cooking it - any negative feeling leaving her as she watched them none the wiser. Well she had thought it did but they continued pestering. Some females were becoming violent, though they never outright attacked her. They stuck their feet out to trip her, barged past her. Threw things at her back and spat near her when she walked.
They made life for her difficult but she didn't blow up. Not yet,she was waiting until they took it too far. She wasn't too sure what would be the breaking point for her but she was always prepared.
She carried her knives with her everywhere she went and every afternoon she sat outside her tent on a stool and sharpened her blades. She wanted them to see what she was packing. Made them visualise what she would do.
And those were just her smaller knives. She sharpened the big one inside, she was keeping it a secret for them. So they would have a little surprise when they took things too far.
They were waiting for her to snap but she hadn't yet. She was waiting. Just waiting for the perfect opportunity for her to climb the ranks and they gave it to her.
The day had been one of the better ones, there had been no bugs in her bed. No snakes or any other creature. Her belongings were where she left them and they had even left her the tiniest pieces of breakfast. She should have known they were planning something but she had been too happy to just have a few moments to relax in the pool.
She had missed the natural rocking of the water. Her and Zosia had made a whole bonding day in the pools. It had been fun and a small flashback to her youth when she would play in the lake with the twins. The memory of her siblings made her heart hurt. She regretted how things were left. It hurt her to know that they were now estranged.
Her family had been there for her all her life and now she was here in this foreign place with no one but this little girl with beautiful eyes. As much as Jana ached to go home and see them, she knew she had a purpose here now.
Zosia needed her because if Jana wasn't here for her then who would be. Her dad was away jeopardising his life for some finely veiled revenge and her aunty was absent most of the time.
It was well into the second week of the warriors being gone and the situation was becoming apparent to her. Sonja was a sly snake. Around Simeon she would play the loving aunty but when he was gone all bets were off the table. Poor Zosia was left to run wild.
It wasn't what she needed or even what the little girl wanted. She needed love and attention and today had been the perfect day for that. Jana had given the girl so much love she would be floating for days from the high.
When they had finished bathing Jana had made sure Zosia ate and went to her evening classes.
After seeing off the little girl, she went hunting and brought back a small rabbit to cook for her late dinner. The moment she stepped over her threshold, red descended over her vision at the sight of the carnage of her room.
She had finally reached her limit.
They had disrespected her in the worst way. Her tent was trashed, the small table splintered across the room. The lamps were smashed along the floor and her bags were missing. Small sparks of fire were kindled on the carpet from where the lamps had been broken.
Stamping them out, she took in the bomb site that was her room and became even more livid. Her anger manifesting until it was a separate entity that she no longer had a harness over.
These bitches had had marked their territory in this tent by dumping their human waste onto the carpet.
The acrid smell in her nose had her stomach rolling, vomit escaping through her hands as she caught sight of the brown and yellow. They had pissed all over her territory, literally. Shit lingered in every corner of the room, sinking into the crevices of her sanctuary.
It was all she needed to attack.
The moon cast a silver glow over the camp site as she followed the trail of glass that they had left scattered across the camp for her to follow.
Grabbing her freshly sharpened knives, she stuck them into her trouser band and made her way out.
She was a full force of Silver, wielded in the firey pits. She was on a warpath and they thought they were ready for her. They stood around the campfire like witches over their couldron. They had stirred the boiling pot that was her emotions and now it was overflowing. There would be no controlling her now.
No matter how ready they thought they were, they weren't.
She had sized up each of these females. They weren't shit. The excrement they left in her room was more than any of these females were. They were little sheep who went baaa at their leaders command. She would slice that female but not before she cut through her loyal cronies.
They would learn who she was. The gods were in her favour. The night was silver and so were her weapons of choice.
The cocky leader sat behind her loyal followers her small frame hidden by Jana's wrath. The females moved like a pulsing heart, rocking back and forth on their feet as they waited for their commands.
"Is this finally a challenge then?" Her voice filled with mirth as she nodded her head in the direction of the fire.
Jana nearly snapped. Her hand automatically rising to the weapons on her back before she stayed them.
She would splatter them all over the floor if they had burnt one inch of her belongings. No woman, wolf or human would be spared. She didn't care who was to blame, they would all learn.
"Damn right it is!"
Taking a step towards the head bitch and her cronies, she made her intentions clear as she bared her teeth and puffed out her chest. Back straight and eyes gleaming.
The leader raised her hand to stop their eager moves, their feet stilled and Jana almost laughed. These weak females had no mind of their own. Brainless, senseless females.
"Finally grown some balls." A knowing smile graced her face as she looked over each of her females.
"I name my challenger. Step forward Noma."
Her grin widening as she watched Jana's face. When no shock came her smile fell slightly. Confusion filling her dark brown eyes.
"Do you accept, little female?" The confidence in her voice was lacking.
The woman, Noma was strong and fearsome looking. Finely cropped black hair and pale blue eyes stared holes into Jana's skin. Her shoulders were wide and her body made of pure muscle. She was a few inches taller than Jana, giving her a towering advantage.
Jana knew this woman's weaknesses, where she had brutal strength she also lacked agility. She could land a solid punch, one that would cause quite a bit of damage but she couldn't take them. Her brute strength meant that most females never tried to attack her. It was perfect for Jana because the woman hadn't learnt how to take a hit. She would learn today though.
"With pleasure" she spat the words like a curse, "but I'm coming for you when I'm done with them."
"We will see" smirked the leader in triumph.
Silly, silly female.
Jana slashed her way through the woman in 5 seconds flat. Noma was too slow for Jana's rage. She had ducked twice but the third swipe of Jana's blade had hit true to mark. It had torn through her calf sending the big beast to her knees.
She had struggled to climb to her feet but Jana had finished her off with a blade to her chest.
They had thought she was so angry that she would be sloppy. That was their first and last mistake. Jana didn't give her any opportunity to make anymore.
Her large silver knife slid through flesh drawing blood. Head twisting and ducking as she sliced the wolf to shreds. There was no mercy in her movements. She took the female unaware with her fire. She had kept her anger in and in that time it had boiled into this. Her mind was clear but her body was fuelled by that deep boiling feeling that filled her pit.
She barely felt the females claws slicing her body as she counter attacked. All she felt was her muscles clenching and tensing as she flew at Noma. Her large silver knife hacked through the woman in no time. Three swipes, a jab and the job was done.
Noma was no more. She was nothing more than a barely breathing pulp on the floor.
Noma's blood smeared all along her skin, as Jana turned her head to the leader. The female stood hiding behind her cronies. Jana would slice through them to get to her.
She would let them live. She wanted them to see how she forced her rule through their blood and her silver. They would all witness this.
Squaring her shoulders she stepped towards the leader. The woman stepped back as two females separated from the cluster. Their claws extended, and hackles rising.
Jana's head rolled on her shoulders as she clicked the the stiffness out of her body. She made a show of wiping Noma's blood off her blade and along her pant leg. The action earned her a viscous growl from the female closest to her. Her features were so irrelevant because by the time Jana was done they would be smothered in her own blood.
She was blood thirsty tonight.
"Who's first?" her still bloody knife waving about as she pointed to the two females. Neither moved but she prepared herself for the oncoming attack.
Taking out her two smaller blades for the two females before her.
She knew fully well that this fight would not be a walk in the park. She was good enough to take these two on but not without leaving with a few marks of her own. She anticipated a few wounds. The win was made better when they put up a good fight.
Spitting on the floor and bending her legs, she got herself into position.
The females lodged into an attack at once, arms swinging as they punched and kicked at her. Jana's blades swung in arch as she twisted, she missed one female but on her turn her blade met the resistant flesh of the second female.
Blood squirted as she tore through the arteries in her arm. The hot metallic liquid filled Jana's mouth as the females screams filled the air. She dropped to the floor like a dead fly, clutching her arm as she cried her pain. These females were no warriors. All the female fighters had been taken with Simeon when he left.
These females were barely trained and Jana was wiping the floor with their blood.
Stepping over the crying female, Jana kept moving. Her body dropping low as she missed a punch but falling over at the kick that landed to her stomach.
Rolling over she missed a boot to her face but another foot caught her side. Rolling again she dodged more kicks and then jumped to her feet. Her silver gleaming in the moons light as blood flew into the air. It was two females again, a new one who lasted a little longer than her comrade before she was down with a sliced open back.
They were coming at her full force now. 3, 4, 5. They were not holding back but they were no competition. They were uncoordinated and sloppy. Females bumping into each other as they tried to slice her.
Jana was bleeding but the feeling made her fight harder. The situation blurred out of her mind as she hacked through them. Slicing, ripping, slashing. She was in a frenzy, anger and adrenaline were a heady mix for her body. It gave her stamina and strength she never knew she had.
Blood coated her skin in thick globs, turning her golden skin black with blood.
A hard punch landed to her cheek whipping her head to the side. Blood squirted in her mouth and this time it was her own. Spitting it out, she eyed the female who had the guts to actually land a meaningful blow.
Nodding her head in congratulations, Jana gripped the woman by her hair and threw her across the floor. Her body kicking up dust as she tumbled to a stop.
There was only one female left between Jana and her goal. Her eyes were an unnerving silver and in that moment Jana knew that there was a valid combatant in this female. It would be an exchange of silver but only one would win out.
"Don't want to stab you but I will" she gave the female fair warning but when she displayed her elongated canines, Jana went in for the kill.
She wasn't about to have a one to one combat with this female, it was too time consuming. Instead she flung her blades one after the other until they were deeply embedded into the crumpled woman's chest.
Removing the silver as quickly as possible, she finally had the leading bitch where she wanted her. The human who ruled the wolves was a little slip of a thing. She was nearly the same height as Neema but was definitely skinnier.
Her hair was wrapped in a colourful scarf tied at the back of her head. Her eyes were blown wide but a smile graced her lips.
"You were better than I thought" it taught her right to judge Jana as a lesser female.
"Khan wasn't playing about when he trained you."
Her hand up in the air as she dodged Jana's sweeping blades. She was always a step ahead of the blade, her height giving her more agility.
"Don't mention him, you little bitch" Her face disfigured by her rage.
Jana stepped towards her, her knife jabbing as she poked at the woman's flesh. Small trickles of blood leaking through as the leaders step faltered.
Their joust wasn't fast paced like the battle Jana had just been through, it was slow. Like a game of chest. Jana was taking her time before she made her moves, all while she tried to capture this queen.
"No need for name calling I'm not your enemy." Her head ducked low as she missed a hide swipe.
"No? Then why is Sylvie telling me you are?"
Jana's head tilting to the side as she brandished her big knife in front of the female. The air whooshed in her face, as Jana anticipated the smell of burning bloody flesh.
"It's nice to see you females are finally getting along."
The females eyes brightened in relief as she stepped further back, retreating towards the male. But Jana wasn't satisfied, charging at the woman she caught her by the scarf and pulled her back. Her blade sinking into her chest slowly, squelching through flesh and tissue.
"That's enough of that Jana." His voice a low drawl as his dark eyes beckoned her to listen to him. This male who she had only caught one glimpse of in her whole stay here, was trying to tell her what to do.
"Who the fuck are you?" Her hands still wrapped around the bleeding female. The warm liquid seeping into her skin as the defenceless female withered in her arms.
"I'm Ju-long and I'm the alpha here" his voice thundered. Arms wide as he introduced himself like a god.
At his words, people began appearing from their tents. They came with stretchers, tonics and herbs. All to heal their wounded pack mates.
Their eyes barely met hers, their shoulders bowed in submission as they moved around her.
"Umm Luna may we take Carina," came the wavering voice of a blonde female, her big brown eyes focussed on the floor as she twisted her hands.
"What did you just call me?" Growled Jana, her face scrunched up as she leaned away from the female in her arms and moved closer to the blonde woman.
"Well I-umm-"
"You're the Luna, you stupid bitch. You passed your test" coughed Carina.
Her teeth turning red with her blood before she went limp.
