Soren woke up early morning, to see how his new friend, Ryu was doing. It appears now that the bandages had done it's job, and it appears nothing but a scar now. 

He felt bad for her, that she had been attack without her knowing. He got up and found some trout thanks to being the son of the Dragon Prince. 

Ryu smells the cooking, as that Soren smiling at her. "Morning." 

"Morning, Soren. " She replied back as she got up as he was still cooking the fish. "So, aren't you going to show me that book you were holding onto yesterday?"

"Right after we eat, I mean, you can't go somewhere with an empty stomachs can't we?" Soren laughs, as Ryu's stomach growls as she was flustered with embarrassment. 

She was eating the cooked fish that Soren caught earlier, as they were reicent. 

Soren thought in his mind, "Man, this is so awkward. What I supposed to say to her, she seems lonely. Think Soren!" 

As the two teens were getting some decent breakfast, Ryu's eyes grew with curious expression on her face, as to looking at the Dragon Trails book. 

"So, what does book do, anyway? Haven't you been curious about it since you discovered it back home?" She asked. 

Soren looked at at, "Actually, I haven't got to chance to open it yet. I suppose that I should open it, huh?"

"C'mon, go open it for Thor's sake! " She pleaded. 

The young teenager hesiant a little, but then he took a deep breath, as he opens the book. 

Ryu was nowhere to be seen, as the young teen looked around at his surroundings. 

"Son of the Great Dragon Prince, I bid you welcome to the Dragon Trails. These Trails are a test of your inner courage, trust and feelings. 

There would be obstacles in your journey, so you will have to defy everything you ever known. 

Thus, we begin.

A riddle. Gone by abyss, the past awaits, the smell of ashes will awake. Discover what it has been done, or consume by hate." 

Soren yells, "Wait, what does that mean? " But there was reply by the voice, as the young teen opens his eyes to see Ryu staring at him with a worried expression. 

"Oh, thank Vallhalla. You're awake!" She said, as Soren sat up. "I guess that is some book. " 

"So, tell me, what is that book anyway?" 

"It's a book called, "The Dragon Trails." I discovered it inside of a chest, and apparently, my father has no idea of its existence. 

When I opened it, the voice inside the book said these trails are a test for me, and I guess it already has begun. " He explained. 

"Tests for the young son of the Dragon Prince? That is some discovery. " Ryu said, scratching her head. 

"Listen, I don't want you to get in my mess. I think it's best we separate-" Soren said, but Ryu said, "No way. 

I'm not letting you do this on your own. Besides, I'm a viking through and through and it's not fair of letting a friend go off on these trails all all alone. " 

Soren was in disbelief of her statement, then sigh, of knowing that she'll go with him no matter wither she'll listen or not. 

"Fine! Geez, how could you be so stubborn as a wild dragon?" He asked her, as Ryu chuckled, as she runs away, "It's a secret." 

Back at Berk, Hiccup was in Gothi's hut, as to Astrid suggested. Hiccup looked concerned about what the girls' discovery was, as Valka chuckled at her son's nervous actions. 

"Son, you're overreacting. I'm sure that there is nothing to be concern about. Soren would be-" 

"Fine? Um, no offense, Mom, you haven't seen what I've done as the Dragon Prince when I first inherit the powers. 

I set the village ablaze on my first transformation, for crying out loud! Aside from that..." Hiccup still have the trauma of killing of killing the woman who tried to kill an innocent child with his talons uncontrollably. 

Toothless sees how uncomfortable his best friend was, as the girls came in. "Look at this. These burns are indeed Soren's, but it seems like he wasn't aware of his actions." 

"What you mean, was it like he was somewhat controlled, just like I was with Toothless?" Hiccup asks. 

"Fishlegs thought about that as you did, but it seems there is more. I found this." Cami said, as to pulling an burnt chest, that appeared to be opened. 

Toothless asked, "What is that?"

"I don't know, Toothless. It appears to be some sort of Berkian chest that hasn't been seen in ages." Astrid replied. 

"Wait a second. I've been to the Great Hall all the time as being the chief, I never seen anything like that." Hiccup said. 

"Hiccup, I'm worried, is our son being involved in some sort of danger that we haven't known about?"

The group was silent as they haven't gotten an answer to that. That is when Toothless decided to check on Emily to ask her advice. 

The black Nightfury flew to the cove where Emily was getting a drink of water from the river. 

"Toothless? What you doing here?" The Deadly Nadder asked, looking at her friend in a concerned matter. 

"Emily, we have a major trouble. It's Soren, he left Berk." He replied to her.
