one: the bet
"P-please let me go," the freshman girl struggled in the grip of the older.
"Have you forgotten we're your sunbaes? You're supposed to greet us properly," the male growled.
The girl tried squirming her hand free, but failed.
"Jeon Jeongguk! What do you think you're doing?" a loud voice hollered from across the hall.
All of their attention, including Jungkook's posse of two at the moment, went towards their principal, Mr. Lee. "Let go of her right now!" he yelled approaching them.
Jungkook dropped the girl's hand, rolling his eyes in the process. The girl bowed to the principal as he approached her and the hooligans.
"You can expect an apology from Jeon here soon. Return to class," he told her, turning his strict gaze to Jungkook. "It's only been an hour since I last warned you, Mr. Jeon, must you always go around looking for trouble? Go Jangsoo and Nam Sochun are also here I see." He took a pause to let out a sigh of disappointment. "Look, I get that you guys are a group of teenagers trying to be cool, and I've told you this many times, but I'm trying to keep our school's record straight, meaning I do not want to suspend or even expel anyone this year. The parent council seem to already be suspicious of you. Stay out of trouble. You all got it?"
The three were quite bored, they've heard these same words a billion times, well maybe only a million for Jungkook as he only transferred there couple months ago.
"Yeah yeah Mr. Lee, we get it. Let's go guys," Jangsoo said, starting to walk back, the other two ready to follow his lead.
"Hold on a second there boys," Mr. Lee stopped them in their tracks. "If I see you loitering and doing these kinds of things once again, severe punishments will be given. Oh and, all three of you have detention."
Jungkook smirked, knowing the principal would never do anything to ruin the school's well kept reputation, and skipping their so called detention would be easy. All they had to do is sign in and make sure someone there signs out for them before they leave, which is as soon as the supervisor falls asleep. "Of course Mr. Lee."
Mr. Lee watched as the boys walked off. "You better be returning to class." Just as he said that, the bell rang, signalling the period has ended, the period right before lunch.
Jungkook turned, the same smirk still plastered on his face, he waved "seems like we don't have to. See yah later Principal Lee!"
The hallways became crowded quickly, hiding the the boys away from Mr. Lee before he can say anything.

"Ahhhh," Taehyung said as he threw a grape at Hoseok, which landed on his forehead instead of the intended target, his mouth.
"Lame aim dude," the others laughed.
"Whatever," Taehyung said but laughed along.
"Everyone's going to the dance, right?" Jimin asked, to which the boys nodded.
"And then we watch the game?" Hoseok confirmed, earning more nods.
"So," Jin stretched out, "does anyone have a date?"
"Hyunji asked me, I couldn't say no," Yoongi said. The boys whistled immaturely, Namjoon who went as far as poking his sides.
Yoongi glared at Namjoon, but a smirk formed on his lips as a sudden idea popped in his mind to tease his best friend back. "So, Joon, have you asked out the person you've been crushing on?"
"What?" Jimin yelled, surprised at himself for getting so triggered. "I mean, what?" he said using his inside voice. "You never told us you had a crush!"
"Yeah, well, Yoongi forced it out of me and he promised he wouldn't tell anyone," he hissed at the boy covering his mouth to hold in a laugh.
"So, who is this lucky lady?" Jin began to tease.
"Nobody."
"When are you gonna ask her?" Hoseok continued.
"I'm too busy trying to run this dance, where do you think I'm gonna get the chance to ask hi— whatever guys, just drop it."
"But—" Jimin started, but got cut off by the sudden shriek that was heard as the doors of the cafeteria bursted open, revealing the group of students the boys have honestly gotten tired of seeing. They cut all cut line as usual, pushing whoever was in there way with a very insincere apology.
"They look so dumb, walking around like they own the place," Taehyung commented.
Yoongi chuckled. "Mind I remind you, you used to be just like them."
"Yeah yeah, I know."
"But honestly, you see that one on the left, with the leather jacket?" Namjoon pointed, "This year seems to be the worst since he's become the, quote unquote, leader of the group. The guys were at a much better state when Taehyung ran it, not that I want Tae to go back to that life."
"You mean the transfer student? Bet it's 'cause he's the richest. Someone ought to teach them a lesson," Hoseok said, crossing his arms.
"That's exactly what I said," a voice suddenly came out of no where, startling all of them except for Yoongi and Namjoon who had already seen him approaching their round shaped table.
"Principal Lee! You scared us, don't do that!" Jimin yelled, placing an hand to his chest.
"Those boys are going to ruin this school's reputation," Mr. Lee said as he shook his head.
"Why don't you just suspend them or something? At least call home," Taehyung suggested, although he already knew why, as he's been through all of that process before.
Their principal was a man that only cared about building a good name for this school, and he would do anything to keep it safe. The school is known for their "exceptional" and "well-mannered" students that Mr. Lee cannot afford have a black mark on his perfect little record.
"Don't even say the s or e word near me, and that Jeon boy over there has some great influence with his father, who's kindly been donating funds to this school. And how many times do you expect me to call home? The next day they just come back angrier."
Taehyung scoffed, "lucky bastard."
"Oh ho ho," the principal laughed, "don't you remember when you were like that Kim Taehyung? You spent half of the school years at my office."
"How can I forget when I'm reminded every day," the boy replied, throwing his arms into the air.
"Your sudden change scared me a little last year, what happened?"
Taehyung's gaze went towards Namjoon, a smile forming on both of their lips, "I got some sense knocked into me by someone."
The principal nodded, "Well, hopefully someone knocks some sense into that kid." With that, the principal walked off, finding his next victim to explain his boring life to.
Mr. Lee was quite a unique man, but all the students loved him for it — just as much as they hated him. He acted like a student instead of fulfilling his job as their principal, which was good in some ways, but also terrible. The school would be much better if there was at least half the amount of discipline the principal claims there is.
"He's right," Jin kept adding, "Those stupid dipshits decided it would be a good idea to mess with the Drama Club, adding red dye to all our costumes. It took us forever to wash them out. Their reasoning? Our costumes were too boring so they decided to spice it up."
Taehyung laughed, "That was pretty funny thought, but so unoriginal. i've done it like a million times already."
"You think it's so funny, huh? You should try spending five hours trying to remove red dye from a cotton white cape."
All the boys laughed, recalling the memory of Jin crying over how he was stuck cleaning all the white articles of clothing that day for showing up late to their meeting.
"But seriously, someone has to do something about those boys. We almost lost our Student Council meeting room to them," Namjoon, the council President, pointed out.
"Why don't you?" Taehyung suggested, taking a sip from his grape flavoured juice box.
"I've got enough things on my hands with council work to go mess around with those punks. Why don't you, Tae? You have enough experience to know how to make them listen to you."
"Okay bet," Hoseok screamed out, "if Taehyung is able to break apart this group and turn them into normal well-behaved students, I will dye Yoongi's hair rainbow!"
"The fuck? Why me?" Yoongi yelled back.
"Fine, I'll dye Jimin's hair, and mine, rainbow!" he declared.
The boys waited for Jimin to say something against it, but he just stared back. "What? It's not like Taehyung's actually going to be able to do it. I've seen the horrors of those boys, especially the Jeon kid first hand and there's no way he can change them."
"Okay, I wasn't going to agree to this at first, but now I really want to see my lovely hyung with rainbow hair," Taehyung said through gritted teeth, "Challenge accepted!"
The boys cheered, knowing Taehyung will give up after the first attempt, but encouraged the boy anyways.
