eleven: baby it's cold outside
Taehyung was late. Maybe staying out with the guys until one in the morning playing stupid games, and spending another hour talking about feelings was not a good idea. Did he regret it? Not one bit. He skipped taking a shower and rushed to get ready. It's a good thing that his parents leave to work before he leaves to school, and that his siblings couldn't care less to check on him.
Knowing the front entrance gate would be locked, the brunet quickly went in through the parking lot entrance which usually keep the doors open. Taehyung was not in the mood for jumping over fences today. Unfortunately for him, luck was definitely not on his side today.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" He tried all the different ways he can open the door, and that included begging on his knees. The door just wouldn't take pity on him.
He quickly pulled out his phone, which was already spammed with messages from the group chat on his whereabouts for the previous night and why he was not in class. Taehyung quickly replied that he running late and needed someone to open the parking lot door for him, but of course, most of them couldn't have their phones out. Jin, the only one who did, replied with, "ha! suffer kekeke". He knew Jin would've came and opened the door for him if he didn't have the one teacher that didn't permit washroom breaks until after the first half of class.
Now, the only one he knew who'd be a bad child and have his phone out is the boy that was too drunk to not want to lift his head from Taehyung's lap because he was "glued to it". It took a lot of struggle, but they had managed to get Jeongguk off. Taehyung even went as far as texting the contact he found under Father telling him he had to work on a project with a friend and they need to finish it even if it takes all night. The least the red-head could now do for him is open a door, right?

"Behind you, loser," a raspy voice said, making Taehyung jump. He turned around immediately to find Jeongguk scratching the back of his neck and a yawn escaping his lips. You can tell he rushed styling his hair, but somehow it still looked incredible. At least he had his uniform on.
"Holy shit, you scared me. Why aren't you in class?"
"The same reason you're not. Fuck, shouldn't have drank last night," Jeongguk said, clearly half awake, hitting the side of his head as if that would help.
"This is why beer sucks. Anyways, how good are you at picking locks?"
"Can't pick that one, I've tried."
"Hmm, ask one of the goons to come open the door."
"None of our teachers trust us enough for washroom breaks, if they're even in class right now. They were all wasted, couldn't wake the ones who slept at Minki's."
Taehyung groaned. He cursed at the school's stupid policy for assuring students weren't late. Why couldn't they just open the gates? It's no like them missing school is going to make the situation better. Jeongguk kicked a pebble, thinking of the possible excuses he can come up with for missing first half to his father if he were to find out. The red-head slumped down against the door, legs too tired.
"Stop stressing. We'll get someone to open the doors in what, an hour or so?" Jeongguk said, acting calm. Taehyung only rolled his eyes and took a seat across from him, resting his head against the metal pole.
The brunet lightly laughed, earning the younger's attention. "Last night was fun."
"I was always confused on why they treated marshmallows so sacredly," Jeongguk commented. He quickly took out his phone and texted the group chat if anyone was skipping, and of course, no reply.
Time passed slowly, making minutes feel like hours, and the day only seemed to get worse. It was cloudy and dark, adding on to the already cold October wind. Jeongguk shivered, not having enough layers on him. He hadn't bothered to wear his blazer.
Taehyung noticed. "Where's your jacket?"
"I don't know."
"Tsk." The older shook his head. He swiftly took of the jacket he wore and threw it at the boy.
"No thanks," Jeongguk was quick to say, throwing the jacket back to Taehyung.
"You're shaking, just take it. I already have a sweater on." The jacket was thrown back.
"I said I don't need it." The jacket was thrown back once again.
"Fine, I won't use it either," Taehyung said, throwing his poor jacket in the middle.
Half an hour had passed and the older was dead asleep. Jeongguk envied him for being able to sleep so peacefully even though his pillow was a hard piece of metal. As the strong wind blew past him, he hugged himself harder, but that can only provide so much warmth.
The black jacket seemed very tempting as it moved slightly with the wind. Must be coated with heavy materials as it hadn't budged so much. The red-head looked at the sleeping boy before laying his eyes back on the jacket. Jeongguk quickly grabbed the garment a placed it over his body, a satisfying sigh escaping his lips as the warmth began to trap in.
The empty parking lot filled with the howling wind was the perfect lullaby for both the boys as they had managed to sleep. Taehyung had woken up once due the uncomfortableness, and a smile creeped up to his face when he saw the sleeping red-head, looking oh so innocent breathing through his slightly parted lips. The brunet had placed his bag on the ground, and laid his head over it for some support, dozing right back to dreamland.
They didn't how much time had passed until they heard the sound of students chatter. Taehyung woke up quickly to the noise, looking around a little alarmed. Not a second later, the door opened to reveal six boys all a little shook. Not because of Taehyung sleeping on the ground, but because of the boy screaming out profanity and Taehyung rushing over to him to rub his head vigorously to make the pain go away.
"You good?" the brunet inquired, worry on his face and tone.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine," Jeongguk answered, swatting the older's hands away. He looked up to the other older boys who just stared as they watched the scene unfold. Jeongguk quickly removed the jacket that had fallen on his lap, tossing it over Taehyung's head. He got up, and made his way into the school, not minding if his shoulder shoved into one of the guys.
"What just happened?" Jin was first to ask.
"Was that Jeon Jeongguk sleeping with your jacket?" Namjoon added on.
"And he didn't fucking kill you?"
"Nor kill us for hitting him?" Jin added on to Yoongi's question.
Hoseok pretended to cry dramatically. "Chim, there was a discount on hair dye at the department store the other day, better get them. Seems like Tae is actually gonna win this one."
"Shut up, he's not. That boy was barely awake, he couldn't even see us properly, and he probably didn't have much a choice in this." Jimin approached Taehyung with his arms crossed, eyes squinted as he stared deep into the boy's eyes. "Are you blackmailing him?"
"You don't need to know that," the brunet answered with a mischievous, yet adorable, toothed smile.
"Where the hell were you this morning? And last night?" Namjoon broke up whatever kind of intense staring contest the two boys were at.
"I'll explain inside. Y'all got any snack? I'm starving," Taehyung said and then made his way inside. The boys shrugged to each other and followed him in.

"You should've invited us!" Jin exclaimed after hearing about the brunet's wild night.
"I wasn't even welcome, they would've chased you out," Taehyung replied, leaning back in his chair. "Shouldn't you guys be studying?" It was currently a study period for senior classes with exams coming up.
"Yeah yeah, whatever. We have a dance practice today, make sure Jeongguk comes," Hoseok informed him.
"Why don't you just add him to the dance crew group chat?"
"We did. He left."
"Typical Gguk," Taehyung said, shaking his head lightly.
"When did you become so buddy-buddy with him?" Namjoon poked the boy's shoulder.
Taehyung only shot a glare at him. "Hey what happened to that crush of yours? Still haven't told us who she was." That quickly shut the older up, but not a certain blond.
"Yeah! You never told us! So, uhm, who's the lucky girl?" Jimin asked, his voice lightly wavering but that minor detail went unnoticed.
"Nobody! I don't think they'll like me back anyways, whatever."
"What! Why wouldn't anyone like you," Jimin began boldly, but his voice became small as he continued, "You're smart, respectful, selfless, too kind for your own good and you're really handsome. Not to mention how well you'd treat her... they would be lucky to be with you."
The boys became quiet, not knowing what to say as Jimin and Namjoon stared at each other. Before Namjoon could open his mouth to say another word, the blond beat him to it.
"I'm going to go review." He quickly hurried off to a table far from them. The guys shrugged and left to find an empty table, but Yoongi and Namjoon stayed at the table they were at.
"When're you gonna tell him?" Yoongi asked after loud sigh escaped his lips.
Namjoon slumped back, slightly huffing out his cheeks. "And get rejected? Yoong, Jimin doesn't like men."
"Well from what I just heard, he definitely likes Namjoons."
"He was just being a good friend."
"How can you have the highest grade in school yet be so dumb at the same time?"
"Whatever, just shut up and study."

The dance studio became quiet as Jeongguk entered. He had on his usual leather jacket (which he got back from one of the boys who saw he forgot it at the camp sight) over his uniform and a pair of timberlands.
"You need proper attire. Do you have clothes to change?" Jimin approached the boy, leaving his warm up stretch midway that was being led by Hoseok. "And you're late, that's half a strike, so in total, 1.5 strikes. 5 strikes and you're out."
The red-head only rolled his eyes, before shaking his head. "No."
"Then you can't practice. Sit on the bench."
"I didn't come here to sit on a dumb bench. I'll just leave."
"Transfer student!" Hoseok said, stopping the younger in his tracks. "You need to stay for the whole meeting, even if you aren't participating."
"Why the h—" Jeongguk started, but got cut off as a door slammed open, hitting him slightly in the process. "Why the fuck do I keep getting hit by doors!?"
"Oops, sorry!" Taehyung apologized quickly, shutting the door behind him. "Hey, you came!"
"Why are you here? You're not in the dance team, are you?" the red-head questioned.
"I'm kind of like the manager, I guess. I help out whenever there isn't anything art club related going on," Taehyung answered, setting his stuff down against the bench.
"Jeongguk's on bench today. Teach him the rules and the proper clothing he should wear," Hoseok requested, to which the brunet nodded in agreement, then he went back to leading the warm up.
"C'mon, Jeon. To the bench."
Jeongguk sighed. He clenched his teeth as he made his way to take a seat beside Taehyung after putting his bag to the side. Then it began, a lesson of dance club 101. Jeongguk was a quick learner, he's always been. Taehyung even tried to quiz him to see if he was listening, and he answered every single question right.
"You never did tell me why you changed your mind," the older started, seeing that they had nothing else to talk about.
"I told you how my mom likes to dance, right?"
"Aww, you're doing it for your mom," Taehyung cooed. Jeongguk didn't respond, he kept quiet, scared his voice would crack if he mentioned his mother again.
"Hey," Taehyung called out after a while of just observing guys and girls practice.
"What?"
"Let's go for some glass noodles after this, I've been craving it."
The younger took a few minutes to respond, leading Taehyung to think he was being rejected, but it was quite the opposite.
"Me too."
"Hmm?"
"I've been craving it too."
"Great minds think alike."
"Let's go the one beside the convenience store behind the school."
Taehyung smiled. He really had sparked a friendship with the boy. They looked like they could be close, but of course they weren't, they have yet to uncover much about each other. They weren't enemies, but at the same times they acted as if they were. What an odd set of friends, if you would even call them that. The two didn't mind though, they liked where they stood.
