KAILANI HOLDS Brett's head in her lap while Stiles drives them to the animal clinic in a panic.

"Hurry up!" Kailani demands seeing the building coming up ahead of them and her older brother's car arriving at the same time as them.

"Derek. Help me!" Kailani demands trying to get her ex boyfriend out of the jeep being gently pushed off to the side by Derek who carries Brett's now seizing figure into the clinic and placing him on the examination table.

Kailani stands to the side covering her mouth horrified seeing the yellow foam spluttering from Brett's mouth, "What the hell is happening to this kid?" Stiles questions shocked.

"He's been poisoned by a rare wolfsbane. I need to make an incision, and you need to hold him as still as possible." Deaton explains.

"Hey Derek? How about a little Werewolf strength?" Stiles suggests holding onto Brett a little tighter.

"Yeah, I'm not the only one here with Werewolf strength..." Derek mutters, "If you can't hold him still, the incision might kill him." Deaton states.

"Derek, he's slipping! I don't think I can hold him!" Stiles exclaims being shoved out of the way by the panicked male.

"Ahh!" Stiles grunts falling into the table beside Kailani.

Kailani tilts her head confused seeing her uncle's arrival at the clinic and sending a hard punch towards Brett knocking said male unconscious on the animal clinic's floor.

"I guess I still have a little werewolf strength myself." Peter shrugs, "Yeah... Maybe more than a little..." Derek irritatedly snaps.

"Hey, Doc? I don't think he's breathing." Stiles announces panicking Kailani.

"Here. Let me help." Kailani offers bending down to run her fingertips along Brett's scalp remembering how much he loved that during their intimate time together.

Deaton makes the incision on Brett's chest making the wolfsbane exit in a yellow mist.

Kailani sighs in relief hearing Brett releasing sharp but steady breaths, "Is he okay?" Stiles quizzes.

"I think he'll be fine, but probably out for a little while." Deaton responds nodding at Kailani seeing how much she cares for the teenager.

"Guys, can you hear that? I think he's saying something..." Stiles voices motioning towards the whispering male.

"The sun... the moon... the truth... The sun... the moon... the truth..." Brett mutters lowly.

"'Three things cannot long be hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.' It's Buddhist." Deaton explains.

"Satomi." Peter reveals sharing a look with Derek and Kailani since the two of them also know of the woman.

"Fantastic." Kailani mutters in annoyance knowing how much the older woman doesn't like being bothered.

THE NEXT day, Kailani changes and sets out for the hiking trail in the woods to meet up with both Liam and Mason.

"It's not just that we were friends with them. They were using us for their cover! I mean, professional killers were using us. How are you not freaking out about that?" Mason questions panicked.

"Trust me, I'm freaking out about a lot..." Liam responds beginning to speed up while running making Mason pant struggling to keep up with his best friend before looking at Kailani beside him.

"Liam, slow down! Liam!" Mason exclaims.

"I've got him. Don't worry." Kailani states beginning to sprint in the direction Liam took off in coming to a stop seeing Garrett slamming on his breaks hitting Liam onto the ground.

"Hey, Liam... and Kailani," Garrett greets devilishly smiling at the stunned teenagers.

"Sorry about missing movie night. Don't worry─ I got something else planned." Garrett smirks taking off the shield from his weapon slashing Kailani's lower stomach hearing her let out a surprised gasp before falling unconscious due to the poison now entering her bloodstream.

Garrett turns towards Liam with a confident smirk present on his face before slashing the wolfsbane blade across Liam's chest before knocking said male unconscious beside Kailani.

AFTER BEING knocked unconscious, Kailani comes to feeling an arm wrapped around her holding up afloat.

"Oh Lan! Thank goodness!" Liam exclaims noticing Kailani awakening from her unconscious state.

"What the hell happened?" Kailani grumbles holding her self up now while grimacing as a throbbing sensation rushes across her stomach.

"Garrett." Liam responds not noticing Kailani looking at her wound shakily.

"No. No. No. We need to get out of here. Garrett's poisoned us," Kailani states panicked now looking at the stab marks on Liam's chest.

Kailani then looks up noticing how far down the well actually goes and the burning sensation she feels on her wound.

"And of course the water is also laced with wolfsbane." Kailani mutters visibly annoyed.

"No. Stay awake, Lan!" Liam pleads panicked noticing Kailani closing and opening her eyes, "I'm not healing." Kailani whimpers.

"Help! Scott! Is anyone there?" Liam shouts panicked, "It's no use. Garrett probably dumped us deep in the preserve somewhere." Kailani weakly voices wincing yet again placing her hand on the slash on her stomach.

"Somebody help me, please! Answer me! Help me! Help!" Liam calls out growing teary seeing the current state Kailani's in.

"Scott! Scott, help me, please! Help!" Said boy exclaims pleading for their alpha to come save them from this nightmare.

"Climb. Li, you've gotta climb out. Get help." Kailani suggests swallowing back a pained whimper.

"No. I'm not leaving you here." Liam firmly responds, "Then at least climb to the top and look at our surroundings, please." Kailani suggests.

Noticing the brunette falling into unconsciousness Liam quickly grabs a hold of the stone wall grimacing at the uncomfortable sensation before starting to climb only to fall near the top startling Kailani awake as the water is splashed all of her.

"Sorry." Liam mumbles knowing she wouldn't have appreciated that before continuing to climb up the well, "Just hold on, okay? Stay awake, Lan." Liam demands.

"I'm so tired. And cold." Kailani responds shakily while her lips chatter due to the coldness.

Liam doesn't hesitate climbing the well even quicker before falling over and over again before finally reaching the top of the well and exclaiming due to feeling himself slipping.

"No! No! Come on." Liam exclaims just as he remembers back to what Scott explained to him a few nights ago at the lakehouse during the full moon.

Liam looks down further into the well noticing Kailani now falling into unconsciousness with a slow and incredibly low heartbeat.

"Lan! No." Liam shouts alarmed howling into the distance hoping and praying that Scott or even someone else can hear his panicked howl.

Liam screams feeling his hands slipping from the stone, "No!" Liam exclaims just as a hand grabs ahold of his pulling him up and out of the well.

"Kailani!" Liam yells, "Wait, Kailani's down there?" Scott asks alarmed looking down into the well noticing Kailani floating at the bottom.

"Oh my god." Scott gasps jumping into the well without any hesitation and latching onto Kailani's figure and climbing out of the well where Liam weakly crawls towards the injured brunette now after all that time in the hole protecting Kailani.

Liam feels the effects of the wolfsbane Garrett stabbed him with earlier that day, "Is she okay?" Liam asks fear laced in her tone.

"She will be. Come on, we're going to the animal clinic." Scott states helping Liam limp out of the preserve towards Argent's vehicle seeing the man rushing towards them after seeing Kailani's state.

"You're okay, Liam. You're okay." Scott says once seated in Argent's vehicle as the man drives them to the animal clinic so Deaton can remove the wolfsbane from both Liam and Kailani's systems.

RUSHING INTO the animal clinic, Deaton looks up hearing the panicked teenagers coming into the examination room with Kailani still unconscious in their arms.

"Put her on the table." Deaton urgently demands seeing Liam is fine taking a seat beside the table.

"Help her first, please." Liam pleads tearfully.

"Scott is gonna remove the wolfsbane from your chest while I help Kailani." Deaton explains.

Immediately making Scott nod quickly grabbing gear from around the room to slice a cut into Liam's chest making the boy wince due to pain before the yellow mist exits his chest.

"She's gonna be okay. She should wake up soon. Has anyone called Derek or even Peter?" Deaton questions knowing those two men closest to the tribrid.

"I called Derek. His with Malia at the moment." Argent explains receiving a nod off Scott and Deaton in understanding.

Liam lays his head on the table Kailani's laid upon waiting for the brunette to awaken.

"Li?" Kailani groans sitting up noticing the sleeping boy beside her, "Lan. Thank god." Liam sighs taking in the colour back on the girls face and the cut on her stomach healed just with a massive ripped piece of her shirt showing now.

"I'm okay." Kailani smiles nodding at her, "You really scared me." Liam states grabbing ahold of her hand running his fingers across her palm.

"I'm sorry." Kailani whispers tiredly loving the feeling of his fingers tracing along her said palm.
