Chapter Six

~Aizawa's POV~

I watched the siblings disappear with a frown as Inari dragged her brother away after our awkward introductions. I didn't know why I'd given her my name instead of my hero name as the others had done. I was curious about the Shinso siblings. After Inari's unorthodox tirade at the school, I looked into the younger Shinso. His test scores were impressive. After seeing his test scores and going through his file, I feared he may have slipped through the cracks. I'd wanted to tell him he'd have a chance to transfer into the hero course later in the year but his sister had dragged him off before I could get a word in. She was very protective, which raised a lot of questions.

Nemuri watched Inari storm off with a dreamy smile, "I think I might make an appointment to see her."

"I don't think you'll get your deepest darkest fantasy if you do, pretty sure she'll grant you nightmares." Hizashi snickered.

"I'm still tempted." Nemuri sighed causing me to shake my head.

"I think we've stalked the poor girl enough, leave it alone." I sighed.

"Stalking is a strong word." Nemuri frowned. Her sky blue eyes looked me over in a scrutinizing manner.

"And an accurate one." Hizashi laughed. "We should probably make our way to the contest." We had originally come here so Hizashi could report for his radio show on a hero cosplay contest the amusement park was hosting. We'd gotten distracted because Nemuri wanted to try some of the amusement park snacks.

"Where did that bitch go?!" A loud voice sounded from the direction the siblings had come from before we'd bumped into them.

"Think that's related to the little ball of sunshine?" Hizashi pondered.

"She does seem the type to cause trouble." I nodded.

"You sound impressed." Nemuri noted with a smile.

I noticed a rather large man in his mid twenties sporting a black eye stumbling in our direction in a daze as if he'd just recently come to consciousness. His grey eyes scanned the crowd furiously. I looked over to where the siblings had disappeared to and spotted them at one of the game booths. Inari was watching her younger brother with a smile as he played one of the games. He'd seemed tense earlier and now it looked as if he were finally starting to relax. Inari's bright purple eyes suddenly flicked in my direction as if she could sense me looking at her and narrowed into a scowl.

I looked back at the angry young man and she followed my gaze. Her expression darkened. She moved away from the game booth without alerting her brother, stepping into the angry young man's line of sight and inclined a cocky brow. "Back for more?"

"Listen here bitch-!" The enraged young man reached for her. She swiftly evaded his attempt to grab her and quickly latched onto his hand and pressed down on several pressure points on the palm that instantly made him cry out.

"You will speak to me with respect, cretin." She glared at him with fire and pressed down harder causing him to yelp helplessly, "sit." He dropped to his knees. "You're done disturbing me today and your sister and all her bitchy little friends are done picking on my kid brother, understood?"

"Y-yes." The young man whimpered.

Nemuri practically swooned at my side.

"We just going to let this happen?" Hizashi asked me warily.

"As long as it doesn't escalate." I noted as I watched the strange interaction carefully. Normally, I would have interfered by now, but I was curious to see how this played out.

"If it does, I call dibs on the dude you can handle the girl." Hizashi blanched.

"Giving me more work as always." I sighed.

Inari released the boy from her grip once he started to cry and turned to walk away. He crawled after her and attempted to clasp her by the hand.

"H-hey w-wait." His hands grasped at the air as she quickly pulled away from him and shot him a threatening glare.

"Get lost." She tapped her foot impatiently.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" The boy asked nervously.

"Do I rescue her or let her continue tormenting this boy?" Nemuri pondered.

"I think he's the one who needs rescuing." Hizashi chuckled.

Inari smirked, her expression turning even colder than before, "why do you care? I have standards. You don't stand a chance with me, get lost. I've wasted enough of my time on you already." She glowered down at him until he was reduced to a whimpering puddle on the ground before turning on her heel and walking back to the game booth to her kid brother.

I watched her for a moment, as she reunited with her brother. Her hard expression vanished in his presence, replaced by a kind, gentle expression filled with love and warmth. The attendant handed her brother a medium sized plush black cat which he handed to her causing her face to light up. He'd been so absorbed in trying to win her the plushie he'd missed the entire display.

Inari hugged the teen and embarrassed him by kissing him on the cheek. A small smile twitched at the corner of my lips as he shoved her away mortified and attempted to wipe her kiss away. He grumbled something at her which made her smile and link her arm through his.

"I almost feel sorry for the creep." Nemuri pulled me back to my senses as she looked sympathetically to the young man now crying in the middle of the crowded walkway. I dragged my gaze away from the siblings and back to my friends.

"I don't." I shrugged.

Hizashi and Nemuri threw me curious glances. Usually I was the voice of reason and would be dragging them away from this mess, but I was curious about the siblings and wanted to know more.

"Oh? Has the little spitfire gotten to you too?" Nemuri asked me with a knowing smirk.

I rolled my eyes and managed to turn away, "don't we have somewhere to be?" I grumbled and turned in the direction the cosplay contest was being held to avoid any further questions.

"We should celebrate before the start of the new school year." Nemuri suggested as she and Hizashi followed me quickly. "I know just the place."

"So, we're back to stalking?" Hizashi pondered.

I sighed. "No more stalking. I can't believe that's something I actually had to say to you."
