Yes means controlling either Frisk or Chara.
No means they will act of their own accord, but they tend to balance each others' actions.

KFC: *(Your Vessel) was invited to hang out with Kris over the weekend, who seems to have become far friendlier than normal. However, Chara and Frisk have noticed this as well. Perhaps you three can forge a temporary alliance to interrogate the teenager about it.

KCF: *(The Vessel of DUST) has managed to convince Asriel to return home early. However, Kris is nowhere to be seen. Frisk and Chara are there, though. So maybe Asriel can still have a cheerful moment.

K+FC: *(The Vessel of CARDS), with a bit of help, has managed to reach the Light World. By popping out of a dingy closet as two kids were playing a game about a Monster trying to survive in a secretive human society.

K-CF: *(Vessel 1 or 2) was hanging out with Kris and Asriel during some sort of sleepover, back when they all were younger. Kris, being the sleepy rock they were, of course had been resting on Asriel's bed for the heck of it. However, the Human suddenly woke up, looking... Troubled, to say the least.

The Sequel: *(The Vessel of DUST), albeit in a younger and weaker state, has been invited to Frisk's birthday party. As per usual, that grinning flower is there, and the Human has cut out a pie slice that vanishes while no one is looking. But then, there's a knock at the door, and Frisk hurriedly runs to open the door, using ACT to do a little jazz-hands gesture as Kris, in a mundane outfit, sort of waved. The little human seemed excited to see the taller one, but there was a purple Monster nearby that was sighing, as if annoyed. Odd, as they aren't really recognizable. Then again, it had been a long 10 months since the Barrier became a distant memory.
