Mack Hood glanced up at President Jay, emotions hidden behind a blank mask. She knew her success depended on his entertainment, and was waiting for his signal to begin. He nodded to her, clasping his hands behind his back. She motioned to the gatekeepers, and the Parade began. The Capitol citizens, in all of their obnoxious clothing, murmured and cheered as the tributes entered. Silently, Mack frowned, watching them. Even though she was a Capitol citizen, she wore very different clothing than the others. As most of the Gamemakers, she wore entirely black, with her hair pulled back away from the face. Gamemakers were professional. Capitol citizens . . . well, not as much. She turned her gaze back towards the tributes, as the first chariot came closer. White horses, glittering diamonds. Typical, boring. Golden horses, golden armor. Again, typical. Grey horses, steampunk getup. That should interest President Jay. Give the stylist a raise. Golden horses, mermaid outfits. Same as always. And so it went, until all 12 chariots were lined up in front of them. Voices rang out over the tinny speakers, as the commentators spoke.
"Well, would you look at those tributes! It should turn out to be an interesting games," Lilly Gannon said, from up in a box.
"Yes, it should. But look at how many young ones there are down there. Certainly more than usual!" Kefi Dewstone replied.
"I wonder which tribute President Jay will choose to sponsor. I'm personally betting on that Maximus fellow. He looked like a force to be reckoned with," Suzz Thicket announced.
"Oh, I really hope he doesn't choose one of those Careers. They have enough sponsors as it is. I'm hoping for an underdog this year," Lilly told them.
"Well, that would surely make things interesting!" Kefi exclaimed. Mack stopped listening, turning her gaze back to the tributes. They were right about one thing. This would be an interesting games indeed.

Welcome to Control: A Hunger Games RP!
In this game, you play as one of the tributes. But this is not a randomizer, no, you directly choose your characters' actions! In the next chapter, there will be a list of 24 tributes, all with different starting stats. These skills will help you win the game. Here they are:
Fighting: helps you win in direct battle against other tributes. Does not protect against traps or some custom options.
Charisma: helps you convince other tributes to do things. It can be to let you walk away from a battle, to give you food or shelter, or, if high enough, to kill other tributes.
Hiding: helps you hide from other tributes. If they can't find you, they can't hurt you. Also helps you do sneak attacks
Hunting: helps you track and hunt animals and tributes. One of four ways to get your own food without the help of others. Helps you spot hiding tributes
Foraging: helps you find your own food and herbs in the arena. One of four ways to get your own food without the help of others.
Herbs: allows you to use herbs to heal or poison yourself and other players.
Trapping: allows you to set traps for players and animals. One of four ways to get your own food without the help of others. Can only be dodged by running or spotted by trapping.
Running: allows you to run away from players slower than you. Also allows you to dodge some traps. Helps you get to the Cornucopia first.
Climbing: allows you to climb trees, rock faces, and other things. Some places can only be accessed by climbing. Can help with custom options.
Swimming: allows you to swim across rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water. Some places can only be accessed by swimming. Can help with custom options.
Fishing: helps you catch fish to feed yourself in the arena. Your fishing level is the number of people you can successfully feed
Building: helps you build shelters and makeshift weapons. Can help with custom options.

Once all of the tributes have been chosen, the game will start. Now, the gameplay is a bit different. Each chapter will contain a section of writing, like the one above. Then, at the end, I'll ask you a question about what you want to do. Each person will PM us their answer. Occasionally, we will pm you questions that only affect your character. This will generally be when you encounter other tributes. If your responses are creative enough, you can even get sponsorships, which are supplies sent directly to you (Your favored weapon, medicine, food, etc). President Jay also gets to sponsor one tribute, who he thinks is the cleverest of all of the tributes. Are you ready? Let the games begin!
