Prince or Prey?

// ⚠️ TW⚠️ Gore and Blood! //

" Oh sweetie, it's okay. Get as close as you want."

His voice rung out in the ant's ears. Pariston's vocals were sweet as sugar. His eyes were wide to look up at a moonlit sky. The clouds had parted ways to make room for the crescent moon, and stars to shine down on them. The two blonds were laying in a field of flowers with a variety of gorgeous pallets. These two were close together in the field of pink, and yellow bright flowers. Pouf found this place odd to end up in, but he wasn't complaining. His source of comfort was right beside him anyways. Pouf slowly turned his head towards his new friend's eyes. His heart was once set ablaze by staring at those fiery caramel shades. The butterfly's body would instinctively crawl closer to him to observe all of the human's beauty. Paris' warming blood made it all the better. His touch became the most comforting it had ever been till' this point. His heart would beat horribly fast as he set his head against the human's chest. Both blonds would appear calm as a house cat sitting in it's owner's lap. A simple breeze would make the butterfly's eyes open again. His stare at the other wasn't vicious, rather adoring. It became even more apparent when a pink petal landed on Pariston's nose. Both of their brown pupils stared at such a lucky occurrence with smiles. Paris chuckled a little as he blew it away. Hearing him laugh at all would make Pouf's face go warm. His heart swirled around when the human looked back at him. It simply made it worse.

" You look a bit feverish, are you alright?"

Paris batted his lashes with low eyelids.

" Yes! Yes! Just a lot to process, I should say."

Pouf cleared his throat, and put his hand on his mouth. The fluffy cuff brushing against his cheek.

" Awe, I'm sorry. Would you like to get closer to soothe that tense body of yours?"

Pariston's body shifted through all the grass, and flowers to lay on his side now. His arms were opened wide for any kind of embrace the ant wanted. There was an easy sense of trust. Pouf adored that the most. How accepting this man could be towards him despite his many crimes. Shaiapouf would inch himself closer, and closer until he was finally in the arms of his crush. He knew the truth that this hug would only make the tension worse, but it made him immensely happy too. Soon enough he felt Paris' hands start rubbing along his back, and sides. He had himself do some slow deep breathing to calm himself down, and the human approved of it as well. His antennas ticked with his senses just about ready to explode any minute now. This firm hug rolling around in nature was the bliss he was missing from his previous life. It lacked these moments to just settle down, and not for his anxiety to drill into his mind with unforgiving visions. Eventually the butterfly's hands slowly connected with Pariston's. This honestly felt too good to be real, but he knew his emotions towards this new individual were shifting into something. It was an emotion that was close to how he felt for his previous king, but made into a stronger flame. All previous humans he had met only wanted harm upon him. Nothing like Paris, where all he wanted was to hold him as if he were a giant pillow.

" Your body is so smooth. I could probably hug it for hours. Why did no one appreciate this before?"

" Why did they not? I'm.. not too sure. Physical contact like this was pretty rare."

Pouf bit the end of his thumb just trying to think of anytime the other guards, or even the king touches him like this. All his memories could only say no. The most he ever got was a fat slap in the face from sire's tail. There was the time we he was willing to give up his body for the King, but that wasn't asked by sire either. Was there even one moment where he was even appreciated compared to Pouf's overbearing love for Meruem? Was there even a smile towards him he could remember? It was truly a one sided case, and it stung his heart like a million wasps.

" If any at all.."

His eyes looked back at the grass rather than his human's face. As much as he loved these touches, there was apart of him that said he didn't deserve this. That he hadn't earned this in anyway from failing to be a royal guard.

" Oh Pufu, let me heal all of that. Pretty please?"

The human gripped onto the other tighter, but the butterfly was showing signs of hesitation. The hot breath from Paris made the ant sweat unreasonably. Shaiapouf would look up again at him, and catch these awful new feelings. His hair raised somewhat, but his hug on the other blond further tightened.

" Please.."

He asked more shyly, and before he knew it a new type of affection had been introduced to him.

" I'm gonna love you all over with kisses, dear. So you can have all the attention you've deserved." Paris made the gentlest purr, and he'd bring his lips closer towards the butterfly's smooth cheeks. Pouf was overwhelmed, and confused but he didn't want to ruin his crush's fun. The other's hands went away from his hips, and would drag themselves along toward's the ant's chin. It was for him to stay still, and get lovingly flustered. Damn did it work too. The butterfly's heart was beating at dangerous levels, and practically melting because of the next onslaught of affection. The human suddenly put his body on top of the other's. Pariston's lips first made contact on each of his cheeks. Then his nose. The forehead. The chin, and so forth until the only part of the blond's face was his lips. He almost smiled sinisterly seeing how vulnerable he had made the other, and Paris' eyelids would lower again.

" Sir.."

The ant exhaled with anxieties running all throughout his veins. His throat was tight but he didn't want this feeling to ever stop. Their chests were fully pressed against each other, and the human's warmth was blissful. With a red face, and struggling voice he would request something.

" Be careful.."

" Oh, of course I will. Just tell me to stop whenever you want."

His shoulders wiggled excitedly pulling in closer. Pouf's bones clutched together underneath the weight of his crush, but he wasn't fighting against these touches and feelings at all. This was everything he wanted, right? The scenario was perfect, but the butterfly's vision was starting to go blurry. Especially when Paris finally kissed his lips. He was so warm against his lips that the butterfly immediately pulled him in deeper. He hadn't known of this type of affection at all, but everything felt amazing. The human's breath made his stomach growl for more affection. Their lips were both soft as they kept smooching each other. It got intense to the point even Pariston was blushing from how much they were touching. A dozen kisses later, they would be back staring at each other with intensity. However, the admiration Pouf had held for Paris was starting to fill with a new feeling. The ant hadn't felt this emotion before. It was viciously intense though. His stomach felt like it was on fire, and his mouth would slowly start salivating. He wanted the human's lips so much more.

" Did I overwhelm you, Pufu?"

He smiled with gentle huffs through his nose looking for air.

" Yes. Please.. come closer? Will you?"

The ant desperately urged the other to get more of this loving action. Paris was originally more than happy to make some more love with the other blond. But he'd stop. Those pupils that had been filled with certainty, held back. His brightest smile gently fading as he stared at the ant. Pouf didn't say much back. His eyes had turned completely black, and dark. His eyes even showing a reflection of Pariston nearly perfectly that made him wonder if he did something wrong. It was an odd site, but the human understood this was still his Pouf. 'Probably a side affect of being an ant' was all he thought as he continued to warm up to him. However as he laid back on his butterfly, the other's blood turned cold. He'd do his best to keep calm as the other blond's blank stare was throwing him off his game.

" Kiss me."

Pouf's voice asked more demanding than requesting like. The ant's antenna were getting more fidgety. The suited man wasn't sure how to respond for a moment. But out of character, Paris started to lean back in slower. He knew he still enjoyed time with his ant, but something was extremely off. The gentle breezes of air had stopped making this paradise completely quiet. The sunset had fallen down closer to earth where only a sliver of it was visible now. Small shines of orange were all that was left now. It made Pouf's eyes look even more horrifying if he was being honest.

" Yes dear.."

His dear's skin was still soft, and it wasn't like he was looking to harm him. At least that's what he told himself as their lips reconnected. Paris' lip balm was the sweet smell of vanilla, and that made Pouf's stomach crave for him more. The ant's eyes were still wide as they kissed, and this unforgivable feeling was finally starting to take over his human senses. It was his ant instincts acting at their worst, and he would regret everything that came next.

The physical urge and pain Pouf was suffering through was hunger. These new wants were so vile, and disgusting that they made him feel reduced down to a mere soldier ant. Even as a very formal royal guard, the urge to eat other creatures flooded through his bloodstream. It was especially awful considering the butterfly didn't even want food to fill his stomach. This was purely because Pariston had been the only non-ant to supply him with love to his starving soul. This was probably the first and last human that could ever feed this desire. It made Pouf want to sob as his violent body took over. His mouth was drooling till the point it reach the edge of his chin when the human kissed again. Pouf's hands grew back into claws, and they dug into Pairston's sides harsh enough to give him bruises. The prey made a little whine at the pain, and would soon become louder into terror. The human was swiftly thrown onto his back as Pouf continued to kiss him back with a salivating mouth. The ant growled viciously as he slowly pulled back away. Pouf's head was ticking violently as it turn into half of an actual ant's face. Long sharp teeth started forming, and Pariston's eyes would go wide finally getting what he triggered. With pupils the size of specks, Paris would do his best to crawl away but Pouf's grip was insanely strong. Not a single word from the human could be heard by the butterfly anymore. Even if he could see everything, his ant self had truly revealed itself as a monster. His DNA couldn't hold itself in any longer. His daggers held down Paris forcefully, and saliva was dripping onto the rat's cheek.

Shaiapouf was starving.

" Pufu.. I'm sorry.. I really am. I'm sorry you fell for Pariston. But Please. Take out all your love, and rage on me. Your dreams love you too.."

The human seemed okay with this fate despite trying to escape a few moments earlier. Maybe he really understood that he couldn't run away after what he had done to the poor butterfly. Paris' eyes turned sweeter towards him, and Shaiapouf wanted to wail out sobbing. He wanted to stop himself, but his teeth had already sunk themselves in. The first bite was fast like lightning, but it would start the horrific slow nightmare this truly was. Compared to the needles in Pouf's mouth, the rat's skin was thin like paper. Every tear into Pariston's lips made it harder for him to speak as it left bloody holes. Speaking of which, that horrible red liquid was splashing everywhere around their faces with how the butterfly was eating. Pariston was crying, but he stopped his urges to scream. He knew something like this could've happened any time. That defeat in the human's eyes made Pouf's eyes start genuinely sobbing as he kept eating him. Each bite of flesh that he consumed only left him coming back for more. Becoming more, and more gluttonous for this human. Soon enough, Pariston's lip has been bit off completely. It was just the most tastiest part of his body Pouf had ever gotten to experience.

" uu.. uu."

Paris wheezed out. He had lost a tremendous amount of blood from the lower part of his face being eaten off. You could already see that spark of life starting to dwindle. However, Pouf's internal self had enough watching his body destroy the only person that could've loved him. That one last sound from the human's weak throat made his emotions overwhelm him. Shaiapouf screamed, and wailed in agony as he took back over his body again. His lips, and hands were smothered with mixes of red and blue blood. The beautiful flowers around had been tainted with his gluttony. Flesh, tears, blood all dripped from Pouf's mouth.

" P-Pariston.."

He weeped as he laid back down again. Of course, Paris couldn't speak anymore but the look in his eyes would break his heart. The human was in pure pain, but there was also this forgiving sense to them. Paris didn't look mad or even upset, just tired and forgiving that truly made the butterfly snap. His pupils had returned back to normal ones, but they shapeshifted into slits once more. This poor being just couldn't wrap himself around this human, and it drove him to the wildest thing. Pouf saw red after realizing the other could still feel in these very last moments. The butterfly was infuriated from how much guilt he had now. What made this situation horrible was how actually good he tasted on his angry tongue. The ant wanted to end his crush's life quickly. With one final cry, his fangs sunk into his neck. Then a violent rip.

He screamed, but it felt more real. His throat actually vibrated instead of it being a gentle hum. Shaiapouf threw himself back up covered in cold sweat. He was intensely shaking, and his eyes were wide. His hands frantically felt along his body and face. The ant pushed aside every pillow, and blanket around him as he curled himself in his wings. Everything was pitch black, and the only light he had at the moment was his gentle flowing scales. Unfortunately, this couldn't be enough to settle down a panic attack. Sweat dripped from everywhere on his body as his limbs quivered. Was everything he saw, not real? Small whimpers left the man as he continuously thought about his nightmare.

" P-Paris?"

He'd call out in a whisper unsure what else to say or do that didn't involve himself losing his self image. Pouf tried searching around the room, but he basically couldn't see from how much he was crying. Nor could he rethink of where he was due to how disturbing his vision was. Echos throughout the room could be heard from how hard he was sniffling and gasping for oxygen. It almost felt like choking, but it was due to his own throat being that tight. Not from someone choking him like Pouf could compare it too. The ant was relieved seeing that there wasn't a drop of blood on his skin at least. His lavender colored skin would shine under the glow of his wings as a spectacle. He'd use this work of light to navigate around the room, and soon find the gentle warm light coming from underneath the bedroom door. He blinked being observing by crouching down on the extraordinarily soft carpet, and trying his best to look under. One of his antenna would flicker trying his best to hear noises on the other side. However, it was just out of distance mumbling he couldn't make out. Pouf sighed with a tiresome voice, and the hopeful glow of his wings would get brighter. Afterall, he only knew one human. It was probably Pariston anyways. His blood was still pumping with stress, but it was only because of that damned dream. The butterfly would rest back down, but on the ground this time. With his legs gently rubbed together for warmth, and comfort for his damaged soul. His nose would hide behind his soft arms, and he squeezed his eyes tight wanting for something to happen. Pouf knew that his response from the nightmare was loud, but just how intense? Hopefully someone heard his cry. At least he wouldn't be lonely for long.

Sure enough, there would be soft footsteps approaching his door. It was disturbing at first, but soon the scent of the human he liked flooded through the cracks. His heart, and blood immediately started to decrease in their rate. His lungs worked slower as Pouf calmed down over these seconds. He hadn't actually killed him, but that dream had to be a warning of some kind. It would continue to devour his brain as he would talk with the human. There was then a light knock at the door.

" Pouf, Are you alright? Can I come in?"

It was just as gentle as it had been in his dream. The human's soothing vocals with a touch of deepness from being tired was like music to his ears. The butterfly shut his eyes tighter, and he'd stand up slowly on the other side of the door.

" Please. Please do."

His thin legs were a bit wobbly as he watched the door knob turn. At least he would get assistance if something were wrong with his body. But it was probably just his weariness from waking up late at night with those horrific images. A light smile crept onto his face as he saw the human with an arm sling, and silky pajamas walk through the door. Pariston's eyes looked around a bit frantically to see what the problem was. However, all he saw was a very disturbed looking ant with a tear ridden face. The human's own eyes would soften up like butter, and he reached his hand out at the other blond. An open hand willing to give help to the ant. Pouf was disgruntled from what happened in his dream, and then having to compare it with his reality. At least he knew himself better than the nightmare did. Pouf would swiftly take his hand to hold like a scared treasure, and his eyes would stare into Pariston's brown embers. There wasn't a chance he was going to consume him. Not with this new found connection. ' I'd never be so cruel..' He thought hard.

" I'm sorry to have awakened you, Paris."

His confident eyes started to dwindle back to the floor. Why did this human's gaze alone make him feel intimidated? It hardly made sense to him, but his body could easily sense his intense aura. Was it because of where they were at? Or just the sure nature that was in this human's soul?

" No worries, dear. I'm usually up late anyways. Now, what's wrong? Your body looks so stiff!"

Just as Pouf was thinking about how causally he treated him, the rat simply walked more towards him to put a hand on his shoulder. Pouf's eyes would go back to the other blond, and his nose sniffled. This embrace was more to him than Paris could ever imagine. The human's warm hands would start to slowly feel around his butterfly's body.

" I want your first visit here to be amazing. What went wrong?"

Pariston nearly made puppy eyes towards Shaiapouf. Even puckering his lips a little to get an answer out of the royal guard faster.

" I think you call it.. 'Nightmare'?"

His voice could easily be read as tired, and Paris would start urging him back into the bed. He used gentle 'shoo'-ing motions in his hands before helping the butterfly back over to his bed. The light from the hallway was enough to be able to see into this huge room.

" It's just that us royal guard didn't sleep much either. Neither are dreams familiar to me."

Pouf felt the urge to explain himself, but Pariston looked very understanding of the topic. Even with his tired face, Paris could show a bit of sympathy.

" Do humans deal with that every night? What an awful existence. I feel sorry for you."

Pouf was sincere in this, but would hear the other man laugh. The human rubbed his back with sweet pats as he helped the butterfly under the covers again. Paris would take a seat beside him to talk more. Pouf was a little thrown off by his friend's reaction, but by this point he was getting used to his mischievous giggles.

" No, not really. Some people dream, others don't. Like me, really."

" Oh, it's just that I never really got to sleep much before. Maybe I just have the worst luck with everything, you know?"

Pouf frowned, and would tug the covers to be around him. Looking for any type of comfort against his frightened thoughts of hurting Pariston further.

" Aww, I'm sure it's not that! Dreams come from the subconscious, and you do have a lot on the mind I would guess. Especially coming home with a human, huh?"

Paris cheerily smiled on trying to make his new roommate feel better. Considering this was the first attempt at bringing home an aggressive ant, the man was ready for a lot of late nights like this. If anything he was expecting worse, but it looked like Pouf valued formal traditions too. His mannerisms, way of speaking, and manors reminded him of just any other human he would have a meeting with.

" I'm.."

Pouf's lips trembled

" I'm home?"

It all came back like a flash bang. All within an instant he remembered why he was sleeping at all to begin with. Yesterday when they had arrived at the human's abode, it had actually turned into night again. So late in fact, Pariston had almost nodded off within the butterfly's arms. Pouf nearly blushed being trusted that much by this new friend. His home was pretty remote to the city, but it wasn't terribly far away. It was in the side of a hill with an amazing estate. Perhaps he could know a life of peace with him.

" This isn't just a one night stay?"

" Oh, Pufu. Come here. You don't seem to be understanding something."

There was a light sigh from Paris, but his gaze came across as caring. A touch of annoyance yet understanding mode. Pariston would slide off his fluffy slippers, and get even closer to the other blond. His hands started by tracing along the butterfly's chin, and then up to his soft hair. His warm skin making Pouf's eyes widen a bit feeling how gentle he was being. It was very strange, but this was calming. The way his fingers were sliding through made him feel as some kind of pet. However, he didn't mind it. Even after what nightmare he had, he knew his heart still craved this touch. Pouf still understood that he needed to be careful. His eyelids would close, and his hand would quietly urge the other to keep going. Pariston simply smiled, and would slowly take away his hand. 'How cute' He thought.

" Maybe I wasn't specific enough, but when I said I'll bring you here; I meant live with me." His hand would take up Pouf's hand, and hold it close to his chest. His heartbeat was at a steady pace, but this only made Pouf's worse. The butterfly's touch was pleasant as silk, and Paris would let him keep it there because of it.

" Live with me until I pass, dear."

He hummed out that nickname again, and Pariston would softly bonk his head into the side of Shaiapouf's. The ant was so confused, but he still wanted to listen to the other. Wasn't it that the humans who were flirty to each other, the ones in a relationship? It made him extremely curious, but Paris would go on.

" Now, I need to ask. What did you have a nightmare of?"

The rat's voice reverted back to soft, and he would lean back into the pillows. Pariston's eyes went up towards the ceiling, when Pouf was only staring at the naturally alluring human.

" It's okay, if you can't remember.."

But Pouf did remember. Nearly every detail. Even before the horror that ensued. The sweet taste of the human lips against his own. The smell, and soft touch of kissing the other blond flooded his brain. Every noise they both made, and the vulnerability of Paris in his arms shined the most. Everything was beautiful before his blood kicked in to ruin it all. But still, Pouf was way too ashamed to actually talk about his actions with him. Both horrific in their own way. ' Like telling you that we made out and then ate you would strengthen our bond.' The ant sadly thought to himself. Perhaps lying could make it come across easier. His antenna would make the slightest twitch.

" There's very little I can remember, yes. There was a pretty big monster. Other than that, none."

Which he wasn't really lying. Pouf had never felt more disgusted with himself. These anxieties were turning too much for his heart, and his eyes showed that all too well.

" Are you sure?"

Paris blinked, and he'd hold a finger up to his chin as he slowly stared back at his butterfly. His eyes showing his brown slightly shining together, and Pouf's cheek would sweat a bit. His stare almost came off creepily, and Pouf would be disgruntled hearing what he had to say about his semi-lie.

" Hey, Pufu?"

Paris would tilt his head to the side an inch, and slowly start taking one of the ant's hands again. His soothing touch was gone as his grip was more firm than last time. Pouf's instinct was to pull away, but in doing so it brought the human closer to his body because Paris just wouldn't let go. His dreamy version of Pariston slowly cracking away the more the other blond stared at him with malice. Their bodies were closer than ever, but this was real life now. His weight felt heavier than in his fantasies, but his heart still felt the same way when he imagined the human being chest that chest with him. It honestly felt like the rose's poison flew back into his bloodstream from how wary Paris was making his guts. He would stop fighting, and look back down wondering what this man wanted with him. The rat had supplied him with so many nice privileges, and medicines yet his presence could still feel like a hell scape. Why? Why out of all humans did it have to be this one?

" Oh whoopsie! It's okay, dear. Anyways.."

He chuckled, and would lean back down closer only seconds later.

" You don't have to hold back from me, alright? I'd never expect my friend to lie."

The man would finally let go, and start climbing off the other. The butterfly knew it was for the best, but he would miss the warmth and tension quickly.

" Why would you say that..?"

Pouf's voice was hesitant somehow. Both men understood that this ant could easily kill the human in seconds, but the connection they were building was odd enough to fight against that urge.

" Hm? Just a little detail about you. How your antenna react along with your emotions, I should say."

Paris shrugged, while Pouf shuddered. His heart almost whined. The butterfly gripped one of his shoulders harshly as he thought it over. It was pretty obvious now that he was hiding something, and Paris got excited to squeeze it out of him.

" It twitches when uncertain, and I just hope that you wouldn't think about lying to me. Especially with.."

" I would never lie to you sire!"

A sudden outburst of emotion ripped through his guts, and he would quickly cover his mouth with a hand. He practically yelled. Pouf's eyes were becoming glossy once again, and the browns would display full regrets. What did he just say? Even the human seemed a little shocked at the new name he somehow managed to get ahold of. Paris smiled, and Pouf fully hid his face again in his large wings. He was too overwhelmed to speak at the moment, but he was aware at what he had just done. His ant blood was absolutely revolted at the idea of calling this human the same level as his previous king. That this blond somehow managed to climb to the same status to his heart in just a couple of days. Pouf wanted to be mad again, but he didn't want to hurt this human either. His body would tense horribly feeling Pariston's hand gently tap him. Pouf clenched his jaw as the other blond felt a certain relief. The warmth of his palm, and Paris' cold eyes would give the ant a few mixed signals. He would stay still for now.

" Sire?.. Such a pretty name."

He nearly giggled. There was a massive smirk in his heart, but externally he'd do his best to comfort Pufu. He knew the royal guard might respond like this at one point, but he just hadn't expected it to be so soon.

" I'm sorry.."

The butterfly apologized. Not only to Paris, himself, but for his previous life. Meruem you could say. The human soul resided in himself was also melancholy because he wasn't sure what to do in this situation at all. There didn't feel like a moment in time where Pouf was ever thinking about himself. How much he hated or loved himself? The butterfly had no idea.

" For what?"

" Not sure.. just sorry if it made you upset."

Pouf crossed his legs, but would gently lower his wing to show one of his desperate eyes. He needed a better understanding of his mood, and would be a little gawked to see how normal Pariston looked again. Just a cheeky smile with assuring eyes.

" Awe no worries.. Would a hug help?"

There it was again. Some of the most warmth he had ever felt in his heart. The most reasonable parts of him just wanted to be left alone, but the gut feeling really drove him into hugging this man back. Pouf didn't even say much, he just dove into his arms and chest. The butterfly shivered a little, but he would eventually relax like always. Paris would be pleasantly surprised at how fast they were bounding. Nothing wrong with it though. However, he hadn't realized just how adorable this ant could be to him. The monster that people remember Pouf as only comes out when he's fighting, but when he's on the path to serve you; It's a whole different story. He needs to give everything to you even if it's deteriorating his own mind. Well in this case it would be Pouf's loyalty to the ant kingdom, but either way. All he know was that he felt the urge to make this man happy. Even if it was hard considering he looked cheery all the time. Paris would slowly begin to rest his chin into Pouf's neck until it would snap back up. These next words were a bit much to hear.

" Mr. Hill, I ate you."

" H-Ha?"

" In-In my nightmare, I got so upset because I ate you."

Rivers were starting to form in Pouf's eyes all over again, and he'd hide his own face against Pariston's chest. He had to bend down a little, but he already saw himself inferior to Paris. This human was very more collected than he ever could be, and he didn't mind looking submissive if he really believed he wasn't any better. Pouf cleared his throat, and sniffled. It wasn't the greatest idea to share his nightmare, but he needed to get this awful guilt out of his chest. Get all the pain out until he needed to act normal for the next day. Even if it wasn't real, the butterfly still understood both of their pains.

" We were kinda like this already.."

His hands gestures towards the human's softly clasped hand, and he'd run a finger across it one on his side.

" Except in a field of flowers. We.."

His face turned warm thinking about their previous actions before the storm happened. Pouf would sadly skip over those heavenly moments.

" We were pretty close. Something about you being this nice to me triggered something. My mouth started biting, and you wouldn't fight back. Why didn't you fight back?!"

Pouf's voice was breaking down the more he went on, and his heart was shattering thinking about that bloody scenery. Pouf was starting to shiver again, but the human next to him would quickly squish him closer. While pressing his cheek against the royal guard's shoulder, he'd let out a sound of sympathy. It was kinda whiny, but it was the noise you'd make towards a sick puppy stuck in the cold rain. The ant was very ready to be scolded or called a monster. Even if he did need a long time to learn how to live with a human, no royal guard is supposed to be feasting like a king. This was the standard in Pouf's blood.

" why?"

Pouf whispered trying to hide his hideous crying face, but it felt like the other was insisting on reassuring him with a hand. The only hand he could use due to the butterfly's actions. He was almost jealous of how a human's touch could be this warm. Why couldn't he have this ability? To warm the things he loves by simply touching it. His brown eyes were slowly turning dull until his crush would speak again.

" Pufu, let me punch you."

" huh?"

The butterfly quickly looked back up with his glossy eyes, and runny nose. He felt betrayed just as much as he was confused. Pouf's body wanted to back away immediately, but nothing was threatening in Pariston's nature. It was unnatural how calm the human felt about this.

" I understand what I signed up for when I brought you in here. Honestly, I would've been surprised if you didn't have any thoughts of eating my pretty meat!"

The rat simply giggled more with his hand going over to pull at the butterfly's cheek. Pouf couldn't understand what was hilarious about this, but he would try his best to play along by wiping his face.

" Besides sweet pea, I promise I wouldn't just stand there and take it. I'm not that dumb. What I was offering was to show you how strong I am!"

His sparkly eyes gave an even more determined look. Pouf looked back in slight awe. He was a bit of a genius to the butterfly's sights now. What a strange strange man.

" Please do."

The ant calmly replied. His body was slowly coming back out of his shell. And when he finally did feel the human's cold knuckles against his face, the butterfly had never been more at peace. The jolt of energy swarmed through both of them, and both blonds loved this punch. He wasn't even sure if the man was all that strong, but the brutal force left a bruise on his fragile skin. Pouf took a moment to process it once done, but he would eventually look back at his new friend with admiration. So much more admiration for this human. Pouf lovingly rested a hand against his chin, and his eyelids lower.

" I can't wait for you to show me more.."
