Shravan Malhotra:- London return lawyer, cynic and bitter, yet gentle and wounded. He was only sixteen when he had left India after the insistence of his father who wanted him gone due to the scandal of his mother 'running away' with her boss. His misogynistic behavior is due not only his mother but also because of how Suman Tiwari - his childhood friend - had treated him during their teens. After a decade of living in London, he only returned to India for his father's birthday party but one thing led to others and he stayed back and joined his father's law firm.

Suman Tiwari:- A businesswoman and very good cook, therefore, runs a Tiffan service. Lives by the moto self-respect above all, but is buried beneath the burden of obligations she feels towards her maternal side family who took her in when her parents died when she was young and since then she has been living in Tiwari Killa, her maternal grandfather's house. During her teens, she used to be brash, class-conscious, a bully and a total brat, but after hurting her best friend - Shravan - and losing him, she became more responsible and sober.

Ramnaath Malhotra:- Shravan's very manipulative and overprotective father, became a big famous lawyer only after his wife 'left' him.

Nirmala:- Shravan's mother who abandoned him when she left her husband due to his constant insecurity over her earning more and her friendship with her boss.

Aditya Ahuja:- Nirmala's boss's son. Raised by Nirmala after his father's death, considers her his mother. Had entered in Suman's life during her cousin's marriage and within the week, he had decided he was in love with her and wanted to marry her. But during the preparations of their wedding, he became insecure about her friendship with Shravan who is said to be her childhood friend but seems like more. After a certain point, he decided that there had been a relationship between both and now they were making a fool of him by representing Suman as a girl of good character when she had already been 'used' and 'spoiled'.

Nana Ji/Nanu: Suman's maternal grandfather, Raguveer Tiwari.

Lala Ji : Shravan's uncle.

Chachi/Kamini : Lala Ji' wife.

Pushkar : Shravan's younger cousin, Lala Ji and Kamini's younger son.

Varun : Pushkar's elder brother, Lala Ji and Kamini's elder son.

Vandy : Varun's wife.

Mama and Mami : Suman's maternal uncle and his wife, Manju.

Masi and Mausa : Suman's maternal aunt and her husband.

Preeti : Suman's cousin, Mama and Manju Mami's daughter. Pushkar's wife.
