—————

Jungkook shut the door behind him before taking off his shoes. He took the pair of shoes before setting it on the shoe rack as his sports bag slid down his shoulder. Fixing the bag position, he then shoved his socks into the shoes before proceeding his steps into the next area.

He was tired and heavy footsteps could be heard from the kitchen. The sight of Seokjin in a champagne-colored apron suddenly appeared at the entrance corridor with a spatula in his hand. This made Jungkook surprisingly stop.

"Yah, have you put your shoes on the rack?"

Jungkook just slid into the space that was enough for him to enter the next area.

"Yah, you haven't answered my question yet!" The older scolded.

"You're at the entrance. Why don't you see them yourself?" The younger cousin said before he entered his room. Seokjin was only been able to sigh at his cousin's behavior and continued to cook dinner for both of them.

Jungkook threw his sports bag on a small couch nearby and then walked towards the bathroom door before taking the towel that hung on a hook stuck on the door. He turned the doorknob and entered the area to wash.

After 10 minutes of using his time in the bathroom, Jungkook came out with a towel wrapped around his waist. A small towel was in his hand, ruffling his wet hair. He then proceeded to the wardrobe to get his night clothing.

A grey sweater and black loose pants clad his body. He then plopped himself on the bed and sighed, releasing a little bit of the tiredness.

Somehow, he remembered the stresses he confronted during work at the gym. It was greater than the one before.

It was his and a female trainer's turn to train women that day. It was quite a sickening sighting to him during the squatting session, most of them purposely bent more than normal when he approached them to check. He swore to god, that he remembered Nahee at that time. She was his girlfriend, and he felt like he had just done a sin.

Then after the training was dismissed, the trainers were allowed to go home.

And guess what?

"See you, Jungkook oppa," a woman who seemed to be only a year or two older than he cooed. He almost choked on his drink when he heard that. He glared at the woman. The woman swayed gracefully as she left the room. It kind of almost made him want to puke.

Again, he remembered about Nahee... He didn't know why...

He then complained about it to Jimin, "our country needs a name tag to tell our age and our date of birth!" But the shorter guy was only able to laugh. He had no comment about it, but he knew how it felt. Still, getting a woman who was older than him to call him 'oppa' was not a big deal to Jimin. But still...

Jungkook sighed when he remembered about it.

Just then, Seokjin was seen poking his head into his room, finding the younger's whereabouts.

Jungkook lifted his head slightly and stared at the broad-shouldered, tall, and handsome man with a crease on his eyebrows.

"What?" Jungkook asked in almost an aggressive intonation. But Seokjin didn't take a heart of it.

"Dinner is ready," he said.

The younger sighed before getting up from his bed after Seokjin left the door. He took a moment to take a look at himself through the mirror desk and randomly combed his partially damp hair with his finger. Then, he left the room.

Sauntering towards the dining table, Seokjin was seen putting down a jug of cold water on the table with two glasses. Jungkook, with a soft sigh, unflipped his plate. He then stretched his arm to scoop for rice.

"Yah, yah, yah!" Seokjin suddenly stopped Jungkook, making him look at him with a questioning look. "Have you washed your hands yet?"

With his big, bunny eyes, Jungkook looked at him innocently and shook his head. Getting the sign, Seokjin pointed to the sink to tell him to wash his hands.

The younger boy sighed as he got up from his seat and went to the sink to wash his hands.

After done washing his hands, he went back to the seat and scoop his rice with no scoldings from his older cousin. They both then enjoyed their meals silently.

After done with their meals, Seokjin felt like his heart was itching to know about something. And then, his mouth slipped, but he didn't care.

"How are you and Kim Nahee going?" He asked. Later, he brightly beamed at his younger cousin.

The raven-haired guy then blinked his big eyes multiple times. He then said, "we're doing great."

"Aish, cliché answer..."

"Then how'd you want the answer to be?" Jungkook asked with his eyebrows frowned.

"Have you two kissed? Erm... Exclude the exception from the contract," Seokjin said.

Later, Jungkook was seen slightly pouting his bottom lips as he moved the spoon back and fro on his plate. It created a back and fro small screeching sound as well that made his older cousin grimace at every screech.

Feeling irritated, he snatched the spoon from Jungkook and instantly put it down on his plate. It felt like he was taking care of a toddler who had his first time holding a spoon.

"Hyung..." Jungkook called, almost in a draggy manner.

"What?" The older answered.

"Her cheeks are cute..."

"Okay... So?"

"Her cheeks are so cute," Jungkook said, emphasizing a word. Seokjin looked at him anticipatingly as he waited for his younger cousin's full statement.

The dining room was muted again as the other waited for another to answer his question.

Jeon Jungkook was...

Krriikk... Krik kriik... Krriiiiiik...

After waiting for quite a long, Seokjin sighed and lifted himself from the table. He brought his plates with him and dumped them lightly on the sink as he said "nevermind..."

Knowing that his older cousin would leave him alone at the table, Jungkook quickly got up and brought his plate with him. He also put it on the sink and followed his cousin.

"What to do, hyung? Her cheeks are cute!"

Seokjin could sense something would push him. He quickened his paces to his room while Jungkook kept saying "what to do?!" behind him.

So, that's what it was...

Seokjin kept answering him with "okay, okay..." as he tried to run away from Jungkook.

When he finally arrived at the door of his room, he quickly opened it and entered before Jungkook could even enter with him.

Jungkook almost bumped his head on the door but fortunately, he managed to avoid the accident.

In front of the door, he stood there alone with a pout on his lips.

"Hyung..." the younger called him one last time. He then added a murmur, "what to do...?"

"I want to kiss her..."

Namjoon

He rushed to his girlfriend's apartment after receiving her call that sounded like she was fainting. He didn't care how his car ended up having a huge dent after cutting through the lane from some cars. He didn't care how many cars honked at him and how many drivers shouted at him.

Because he only had one thing in his mind.

As soon as he arrived, he used the stairs to go to Chae Eerin's apartment instead of using the lift. It wasn't far. She was only on the fourth floor, so he didn't mind.

Finally, on the fourth floor, he heaved his breathing heavily as he held a wall nearby before continuing his steps to Eerin's apartment.

He took big steps of walking instead of running as he felt his energy start to deplete. Once he arrived at the door, he quickly opened the passcode machine's cover and pressed the digits one by one faster.

He immediately opened the door once a green light was shown on the machine and stepped inside.

To his surprise, Eerin looked fine. The television was on and she was enjoying a snack in her hand. Two other snacks had their packs opened on the table and they seemed empty.

"Eerin..." He called almost quietly. But the woman heard him. She swiftly turned her head to look at him.

"Oh, you're here!" Eerin said as she beamed happily.

"Wait wait wait," Namjoon showed an index finger that made his girlfriend abruptly stop. The happy face of his girlfriend was then replaced by a frown.

"Namjoon-ie?"

"Chae Eerin, you sounded like you're fainting earlier but you look fine," he scolded calmly.

"Joonie," the woman called as she stepped closer, studying her boyfriend's tensed face. "Are you mad?" She carefully added.

Namjoon sighed before he landed his palm on his face and rubbed it.

And that was when Eerin entirely caught Namjoon was anxious awhile ago. She knew it was her fault for making him anxious, worrying about her.

"Namjoon-ie, I'm sorry," she said as she held his face. She looked into his eyes with pity, pitying the man that she had made him worry. She caressed his cheeks for a moment.

Sighing again as he stared at Eerin with droopy eyes, he nodded his head before he showed his faint smile. "It's okay," he said.

His girlfriend then smiled before releasing his face. She led both of them into the living room as she heard Namjoon start talking again.

"I'm sure there's something you wanted to tell me. It's kind of a little weird that you asked me to come here that way," the tall man said. He showed a tight smile, revealing the deep dimples on his cheeks. He added, "I'm sure there's something important."

"Yup," Eerin admitted with a nod. "It's very very important that I don't think to delay the time so much to tell you is a good thing. Because other than me, someone else is excited to tell you about it."

"Who is it?" The brown-haired man asked with a blank look on his face.

"You guess."

"Nahee?"

"Why would it be Nahee?"

"Her boyfriend?"

"Why him?" She asked with a surprised look. "I don't even him."

Then, it took a few seconds for Namjoon to make another suggestion.

"My mother?"

"No..." Eerin shook her head.

"Your parents?" The last suggestion made Eerin sigh before getting to leave him and going into her bedroom to get something. Later, Namjoon trailed her.

He saw Eerin was taking out something from the make-up drawer. It was a rectangle, almost looking like a polaroid picture except it only had a black and white contract. Furthermore, it has a trapezium shape which was trapped in a black background square. He wondered what it was that his eyebrows frowned.

Eerin then handed it to him.

"What's this?" Namjoon asked. Eerin beamed sweetly at him as she moved her shoulder in a circular motion.

He realized there was another feature on the picture which resembled a red bean but it was bigger and white. Namjoon then said, "so, you want to tell me that you'd taken a picture of a bean or a seed in the dark or the soil?"

Eerin shook her head.

"Then, you want to tell me you have planted a seed to grow a plant?"

Eerin just showed him a sweet beam. She was about to say something but Namjoon cut her.

"But I don't see any pot here. And I'm sure I don't have a newly planted-seed pot at my house."

"You don't need to plant it. Because you have already planted it." His girlfriend's comment made him leave sight of the picture for a while.

"It's your seed, Namjoon," Eerin carefully added.

"I'm sure I have never planted any seed, Eerin," Namjoon said as he looked at the picture once again. "What's more a seed like this."

Eerin facepalmed at Namjoon's idiocy. She never knew her boyfriend who has a 148 IQ level would be so dumb for not recognizing a picture like that.

"Oh my dear, Kim Namjoon. Don't tell me you've never seen a picture like this before!"

"Erm... I guess I have seen something like this before but it's colored and humans in it."

Eerin started to feel her hormones were raging inside. Her blood was boiling and she couldn't help but huff roughly. Namjoon didn't notice it.

"And nothing like the picture was trapped in a trapezium but the polaroid was framed with a cartoon character or something," he stated.

Eerin tried her best to bear her patience but when Namjoon wanted to make another explanation, she cut him and snapped.

"Kim Namjoon, I'm pregnant!"

Namjoon was bewildered by her simple statement. His eyes trembled, trying to find the truth in her eyes. As if his mind was shaken, his voice was shaking as well when he asked, "you're... pregnant?"

"Yes, Namjoon. I'm pregnant..."

"Hold on, hold on," Namjoon said as he walked back and forth in the room. Raking his hair to the back, he instantly left the room leaving Eerin alone and the door tightly slammed.

It was her first time seeing Namjoon was being in a great shaken emotion like that. He had never acted that way when he won a music award or the time he had to confront his label about their relationship.

She had never seen him being so distressed like that.

Suddenly, Chae Eerin felt so lonely. She felt her heart withering instead of having them tearing apart. She was expecting them to be torn into pieces but she did not know why, to think the fetus that she was carrying in her abdomen, there was nothing to be felt something like that.

But thinking that Namjoon seemed to have left her, Eerin let out tears of fear. Fear that the baby would grow alone without a father. Fear that she would deliver the baby alone, without him. Fear that the baby wouldn't know who's ita father is.

She was overthinking, she knew... However, seeing Namjoon being like that a while ago and having her hormones a mess, she could not help but have her mind messed up too.

Suddenly, the door was widely opened, and there, appeared Namjoon with broccoli in his hand.

With her teary, red eyes, Eerin looked at him spontaneously. She was surprised to see him there.

The man who was standing under the door frame had his heart softened the moment he caught the woman's red, meek eyes. He held the broccoli tightly as he walked slowly toward his beloved girlfriend.

"Chae Eerin," he called. His heart tightened after he asked this softly; "you cried?"

He knew he was an idiot for asking it.

Eerin instantly diverted her gazes to the other side to avoid his eye contact. She did not know if it was herself or the hormones, she felt the urge to cry when Namjoon softly held the tip of her chin, moving it smoothly to make both of them have eye contact.

Eerin's eyes were pooled up with water. She didn't want to blink them because she was afraid that they would fall. She didn't want that.

"Jagi, I'm sorry if I've scared you," Namjoon uttered. He also felt the tightened in his chest because he knew his actions just now were wrong.

With eyes reddening and watering, Namjoon stuttered, "I-I've been waiting for this."

"I want this," he added. "I want you, I want the baby. Our baby," he said, mumbling the last two words almost silently as tears fell to his cheeks.

Eerin watched as tears from Namjoon rolled down to his cheeks. And she could feel hers was threatened to fall. But she managed to endure with the great effort she could. She wanted to listen to Namjoon's statement before she could let out her entire emotions.

Namjoon then heard a sigh, "I-I don't know where I got this broccoli from." He also mumbled quietly but audible enough for Eerin to hear, "this broccoli is so unromantic."

Hearing the statement, made Eerin want to laugh but she refrained from it. She bit her lips bottom.

Namjoon took her hand and looked into her glassy eyes. He said, "as I've said. I want you, I want the baby. I want both of you. I need you two."

He then knelt on one knee as he raised the green vegetable, making Eerin almost laugh at his action but her heart was touched that she didn't know whether to laugh or to awe at the current situation.

She was only able to cover her mouth which curved into a big smile as tears finally fell and rolled on her cheeks.

Namjoon cried too, with a grin on his lips.

"I am willing to take this responsibility. I am ready for our future. And I am ready for anything you and our baby need."

"Chae Eerin," he called. He sniffed his nose for a moment before he continued. "Will you marry me?"

With no hesitation, Chae Eerin answered, "yes!"

Namjoon immediately stood up and pulled her into a long, emotional, warm hug. He then planted a long kiss on Eerin's head.

It was true that Namjoon has been wanting this. He was serious for Eerin. He wanted Eerin for the rest of his life. He wanted Eerin to be his queen and his children to be princes and princesses. As he thought of that, the images of him and Eerin with a girl and two boys playing with each other came into his mind. The imagination of Eerin and the children welcoming him home from work had made him widely smile from ear to ear.

His gazes at this moment were as though honey spilling from its pot, sweetened the path that flowed from her veins to her heart. Too nice, too sweet for Eerin to bear it.

The woman chuckled as she looked down on the ground shyly. The tall man smiled.

"How long has it been?" The man asked.

The small smile that never left her lips turned into a huge grin when Namjoon's palm landed on her abdomen.

"Three months," she said.

"No wonder you've been eating a lot lately. What's more, you eat weird foods."

He also said, "and I don't realize there's a small bump here."

Eerin giggled heartily at Namjoon's comment.

She had to admit she couldn't control her appetite lately and her boyfriend had been one of the witnesses and the only person with whom she threw tantrums when she couldn't understand what her taste buds wanted. Sometimes, she ate a weird combination of foods.

Like salty sunflower seeds with mayonnaise...

"Speaking of foods..." Eerin purposely halted as she studied her boyfriend's expression.

Anticipating Eerin to continue, Namjoon responded, "hmm?"

"I'm craving your pancakes."

The man chuckled.

"So you want to eat pancakes?"

Eerin nodded like a child as a response.

Namjoon's heart softened. He had the idea to tease Eerin just now, but now that her reactions to his question had made him cancel his intention. He wondered if that tended to be a pregnant woman's behavior.

He chuckled when Eerin patted her abdomen softly, to tell him that their baby was hungry.

"Well then. Let's go buy the ingredients."

"Yay!"

Chuckling at Eerin's rare childish behavior, he thought, 'our baby is in there.'

The ending isn't suppose to be like this. It's more fluffy and touchy... Unfortunately, I give up on the idea because this is the third time I had to retype the storyline for this chapter. I'm sorry :'(

Wattpad still has stuff to fix 🔥
