*(Y/N) POV*

After my and Blake's recent discovery, we're standing on the cliff, overlooking the fairy world

Ryze: "Let me get this straight" He looks at me and Blake, "You two think we're in some kiddy book we all read when we were in preschool?" I nod, and he looks over at the area full of giant candy and frosting "Okay, I give up"

Ruby: "I know this place is weird, but a fairytale? That's impossible," Little nods, agreeing with her while we look at her, Blake pointing at the little rodent.

Mako: "Rosie, you have a talking mouse on your shoulder" Ruby sweatdrops

Weiss: "What we've seen is improbable. It doesn't mean what we're seeing is an actual fairytale. Are we seriously entertaining this?"

(Y/N): "Well... you have any better idea, Weiss Cream? Besides, we know magic exists, you have a prove right here" I gesture to my team and cross my arms later, making Weiss groan.

Weiss: "Come on now. Let's try to be more logical" she walks in front of us "We all fell from the sky. Ruby made friends with a talking mouse" Little cheers, making Ruby smile and I chuckle.

Little: "Friends!"

Weiss: "Blake and I got caught in killer vines. Ryze tried to stop Mako from eating cheese out of the ground" Mako gets offended.

Mako: "Hey, I was hungry! Stomach pain beats starving to death!"

Ryze: "Yeah, yeah... 'son of a doctor'" he jabs at Mako

Weiss: "(Y/N) nearly got eaten by a plant, and before that, he saw his father, who is dead for over twelve years!"

(Y/N): "Ouch... that hurt. It's because of Guardian's powers by the way"

Weiss: "And both Yang and Mako got their weapons stolen by a... what was it you two said it was?"

Yang: "A talking raccoon riding on a purple wagon filled with trash"

Mako: "Talking trash panda riding a wagon full of junk" Weiss' logical arguments go down the ditch

Weiss: "Right... that. I see your point of view now. I'm just going to go over there for a moment," Weiss walks away and then starts muttering to herself about the purple wagon and the trash panda. Mako leans in next to Sam.

Mako: "Is your girlfriend okay?" Sam sighs.

Sam: "No. I'm pretty sure she's broke now" they look at Weiss, who now has probably a mental breakdown.

(Y/N): "Weiss for crying out loud, stop" I turn to Ruby "Petals, what do you think?"

Ruby: "As crazy as it sounds... this place feels... familiar"

(Y/N): "So you think as I think? We got transferred to a fairytale, more specifically-" Blake cuts me off.

Blake: "The Girl Who Fell Through The World" she walks past us and everyone, "I think we're in the Ever After"

(Y/N): "My first thought exactly. We're unfortunately stuck in a fairytale story for kids"

Weiss: "But that's impossible. That story was make-believe. Nothing in it was real"

Little: "It's not make-believe. It's where I live" she retorts, moving around on Ruby's shoulders. Blake meanwhile approaches Ruby, trying to get any info from our rodent companion.

Blake: "Can you tell us more about this place? Have you ever heard of Alex?"

Little: "An Alex? Is that like a purpose?" I sigh.

(Y/N): "No Little, it's a name, like Ruby or (Y/N)"

Little: "Ohhh! No, never heard it!" I look at her.

(Y/N): "I remember my mom reading it to me. The girl, Alex, fell from the sky. She met the hunter mice, nearly got eaten by a plant, then got trapped by vines. As all of us did" Blake picks up much to Weiss' annoyance.

Blake: "Right. And then she fought a Jabberwalker, and then got her knife stolen by a... talking raccoon"

Yang: "Yeah, and then she beat the red king at a board game, met the curious cat, the rusted knight, and then finally got out through..." We look at the tree in the distance.

Sam: "The tree of Ever After..."

(Y/N): "The tree must have our answers then."

Weiss: "Okay, so what? We head to the tree? Look for Alex? Look for Yang's arm? Look for Mako's mace?" she thinks "Wait, Ryze can fly. Can't you just fly us over there?" Ryze shakes his head.

Ryze: "You think I didn't try already? It just got me back where I started. Like someone's been hitting a reply button on me. Besides, I can lift three people max"

(Y/N): "Well, I can lift three max too, but as you said, it would just... I dunno what to call it, teleport us back to the start point?" I sigh "You three don't feel anything wrong with your Semblance, guys?" My team shakes their heads "Good, we never know when we need to neutralize something or someone"

Ryze: "As for now, flying is off the limits. We don't know if something isn't up in the clouds, like a dragon. I can scout up the ground, nothing more"

Mako: "Okay, thanks for sharing this information with us, Ryze, but that doesn't help us figure out how to find Yang's arm or my weapon" Little pipes up

Little: "I'm sure the Jinxy Peddler has it"

Weiss: "WHO?!" she snaps, making the little rodent hide in Ruby's hood. It slowly comes out later.

Little: "The Jinxy Peddler. That's the only talking raccoon I know" Weiss walks back again, muttering to herself in another mental breakdown.

Ryze: "Should we do something to help her out?" He asks Mako

Mako: "Leave her be. It's funnier this way" He starts snickering.

(Y/N): "Little" I turn to the mouse "You know where Jinxy is? Can you lead us to him?" Little sparks up and gets on top of Ruby's head.

Little: "Of course! I will lead the way! Right to him!" It points us in the direction... and soon falls asleep, again, nestling in Ruby's hair.

(Y/N): "So much for our little helper" I smile "Little has a thing for dozing off, it seems" I spot Ryze getting back on the ground "Anything?"

Ryze: "I spotted a town not far from here. If we continue walking this way we should be there soon" Ruby pokes Little, trying to wake it up, only for the mouse to change positions and go back to sleep.

Blake: "Guys, I've been thinking. If we're going to go into this town, we need to be careful. Alex didn't know their customs and ended up starting a war among the townsfolk. Trouble followed her wherever she went"

Yang: "Well, yeah, but she was kind of a mean person, right? She lied and cheated her way through most of the book"

Weiss: "She was doing her best to survive. The morals of those old stories are so simplistic"

(Y/N): "No, you're right Weiss. You'd be surprised what a person can do in desperation and danger to keep living. If you think Alex was mean, I can't imagine what you girls think about me and my team. She never killed anyone, while we did, many times. Whenever to survive or to protect those innocent and close to us. Fairytales and our real world are completely different"

Mako: "But... our reality is now a fairytale, chief" I sigh

(Y/N): "Yeah..." Little meanwhile nearly slips from Ruby's head, causing it to wake up and climb back on.

Little: "The town's just up ahead. The Jinxy Peddler always stops by our village before he heads to town"

Yang: "Does this Jinxy Peddler steal stuff from you guys too?"

Little: "Steal? NEVER. They just take the things we're not looking at. Fair's fair" it goes back to sleep.

(Y/N): "Little, come on. It's the fourth time!"

Ruby: "Let Little sleep, Cookie. You know, rodents are nocturnal"

(Y/N): "Not when those rodents talk and imprison two of our friends" I chuckle

Weiss: "Sound like a legitimate business person. How did they manage to steal your arm anyway, Yang?" the fierce blonde sighs.

Yang: "I was already knocked out from the fall. By the time I came to, that sneaky little raccoon had already stolen my arm" Mako and Blake laugh, while Ryze chuckles.

Ryze: "So, he had a clear opening to disarm you, huh" Mako and Blake laugh more, while his fiancé groans and slightly punches his arm, all while I, Ruby, Sam, Weiss, and Little stay in the back

Weiss: "At least they're having a little fun" Weiss looks as Mako and Blake slowly reach each other hand "About time for those two"

(Y/N): "Yeah, good for them" I smile

Ruby: "Don't worry. We'll find a way out of here, and then we'll all go home" Weiss stops in her tracks. Ruby, I, and Sam stop while the rest continues "Weiss?"

Sam: "Snowflake, something wrong?"

Weiss: "It's... It's ALL gone. There's nothing left for me to go home to. Just like what happened with Beacon" Ruby gets Little from her head and holds the rodent in her hands.

Ruby: "You did everything you could for Atlas, Weiss,"

(Y/N): "We tried to save our Kingdom, Weiss. Everything we could do, we tried"

Weiss: "But, it wasn't enough! We hatched a crazy plan that put a whole kingdom at risk, and we don't even know if we saved the relics from..." she tops herself "Maybe... Maybe Jaune and Winter got them all out. Despite everything... Despite us" Sam then walks right up to her, only to slap her, stunning everyone who saw it.

(Y/N): "Oh shit..."

Sam: "What happened in Atlas was not your fault. Or Ruby's, or (Y/N)'s, or mine, or any of us. It was Salem! Besides, what's a kingdom? Buildings? It's land? It's culture and tech? No! It's people! And we saved them, Snowcone" He gets his forehead on hers, the couple looking into each other eyes "We saved them, Weiss. Buildings rise and fall all the time, what matters is if there are people to rebuild them. I, for one, never liked Atlas, the way they remain in the sky, looking down at everyone. It was the conceit that cost them everything that happened. Now, they have a chance to rebuild, for a brighter future. Weiss, you, I, or anyone from our teams for sure will help them resettle in Solitas. Winter, your mom, Whitley, they all wait for you to come home. Atlas is not lost, Snowflake" he kisses her forehead "I'm sorry for the slap" Weiss meanwhile repays him with another slap.

Weiss: "We can say, we're even then, love" Sam chuckles and looks at Ruby and me, only to sigh

Sam: "Besides... you're not the only one that lost something, or someone, important to them in that battle" Weiss looks at us with wide eyes

Weiss: "Ruby... (Y/N)... I'm sorry...about Penny. I know that was a lot to hear" Ruby says nothing, turning around and catching up to the others. I walk to her.

(Y/N): "Weiss... thanks for informing us, anyway. You know she meant much to us" I nod and follow Ruby "Come on, standing here we won't get us back home" After minutes of walking, we eventually find an old drawbridge ahead.

Ryze: "So we pass the bridge, and we're in the next area?" Little wakes up from yet another nap.

Little: "Yep. All we have to do is cross the bridge, and we'll be... wherever the next place is" the rodent jumps out of Ruby's hands.

Yang: "Wait, you don't know?"

Little: "Nope. Never been this far away from home before"

Ruby: "Oh, uh, maybe you'd like to go back?" she suggests to the rodent

Little: "I wouldn't have any idea how to get back. Maybe I'll live here at this bridge" rodent plans, making our group freak out in varying expressions of fear, dismay, annoyance, and any other. Weiss pushes us aside.

Weiss: "I'll handle this" she walks up to Little, as the mouse builds itself a makeshift house out of twigs, leaves, and small rocks "Would you like to come with us?" Moments later, Little's 'house' breaks.

Little: "Yeah... that's probably for the best" Little hops back on Ruby's shoulder and we continue forward. We move through a red forest, soon finding a town and entering its market.

(Y/N): "I guess everything is like in the book" I mutter

Ryze: "It could always be worse"

(Y/N): "Don't... don't jinx it, Ryze"

Blake: "Remember, we don't need to cause a scene here. The less attention, the better. Let's just find Yang's arm" We reach the center, spotting a purple wagon and a large crowd gathering around it.

Mako: "I guess this is it"

Yang: "So, what's the plan? Rough them up a little bit until they give up my arm" Blake calms her down.

Blake: "In the book, Alex had to barter for her dagger"

Yang: "Yeah, I think I'd rather hit him" Ryze smirks

Ryze: "I second that"

Mako: "I too" Blake sighs

Just then, the side of the wagon opens up with purple smoke. From the smoke, a bipedal raccoon in clothing shows up.

Raccoon: "Welcome, one and all!"

Weiss: "Hah, he's adorable" she awes at the creature

(Y/N): "I told you, you melt on the sigh of anything small and fluffy like Zwei or Lampo"

Raccoon: "I am Jinxy, and these are the finest treasures of the acre!" he twirls a stick around, demonstrating his 'treasures', a yellow rod, a glass bunny, a green doll, and a silver staff, making the audience applause

Yang: "I don't see my arm anywhere"

(Y/N):" Mako, you spotted your weapon?" Mako shakes his head, while Blake walks up to them.

Blake: "I remember this. Jinxy disguised his treasures as other items to make the people think they're buying something extremely valuable"

Weiss: "Okay. Which one are Yang's arm and Mako's weapons?"

Mako: "Hell if I know?" He looks at the stuff "I think this staff could be it. The yellow rod looks kinda like an arm, Yangster"

Yang: "I think I agree. It looks kinda arm size-ish" Ruby meanwhile focuses on the green doll. I walk to her.

(Y/N): "Petals, what's wrong?"

Ruby: "There's... something about that one. Something familiar" I look at the doll, and something cogs in my mind.

(Y/N): "Now that you tell me" Meanwhile, the auction starts. Jinxy pulls out the rabbit.

Jinxy: "Our first item, the diamond-studded rabbit. You" he points at one toy person in the audience, appearing right on their shoulder a moment later "Jinxy's. Step right up"

Weiss: "How are we going to bid without any money?"

Blake: "I don't think there's any money in the Ever After. Jinxy just names whatever price he wants"

Mako: "Well, how about I offer him a metal fist sandwich for touching my weapon?!" Blake grabs his shoulder.

Blake: "Breath in, and out Michael, there is no need"

Yang: "What did Jinxy ask from Alex for a price?"

Blake: "Her saddest memory... and her happiest" Meanwhile, Jinxy sold the rabbit for a hug" Ryze chuckles

Ryze: "Go see if you can get your weapon for a hug, Mako"

Mako: "Oh, shut up Ryze" he rolls his eyes

Jinxy: "Our next item. An ancient silver staff" Mako gets his hand up faster than a light "You" he points at Mako "The bidding starts at... the manliest handshake you can muster!" Mako smirks, changing his hand to the metal, he grabs Jinxy's hand and nearly crushes it "Ow! You sir sure have strength in your arm! Here you go, your item" Mako grabs the staff, and looks at him.

Mako: "If you ever steal from me again, I will impale you on a metal spike" he whispers, however, the cartoonish raccoon doesn't care

Jinxy: "Our next item. A golden scepter... you!" he points at Yang who raised her arm and... a toy soldier who did the same "The bidding starts at-" Yang cuts him off.

Yang: "No! I was the first one!"

Jinxy: "Knowing... what it's like to feel loved" Yang gasps "A fair price for some, I'd say" Ryze looks at Yang

Ryze: "Come on, Sunny Dragon. Tell him how you feel, I don't care if they all hear you" Yang however couldn't find words, getting more worried while the toy soldier is writing something down on a piece of parchment. He turns around, showing a 'royal highness's decree to be paid is the sum whatever Jinxy wants' on it.

Toy Soldier: "Knowing what it's like to feel loved, by royal decree"

Jinxy: "Sold!"

Yang: "What, no! That's MY arm! I didn't even have a chance to say anything!"

Toy Soldier: "Bad luck. Whatever it is, it is royal property now. No price is too high for His Majesty's birthday" second soldier gets the rod, and Yang's eyes get fiery.

Mako: "Now, can we kick their ass?" he cracks his neck and knuckles, while Ryze gets Scissor Blades out

Ryze: "Sounds like an idea" Ruby meanwhile gets her hand up, trying to get the green doll

Ruby: "Me!"

Jinxy: "You!"

Weiss: "Ruby, what are you doing?"

Jinxy: "The starting bid will be..." he pulls out an empty jar "Enough hope to fill this jar" Ruby, hearing his price gasps and hesitate, feeling unsure. I start to worry about her.

(Y/N): "Ruby...?"

Jinxy: "Hmm, you don't have enough, do you?" he notices the doll is missing and finds Little attempting to drag it away" Why you little-!" he pounces, but our rodent friend jumps out of the way with the doll "Leave that alone! You can't touch it until the deal is done!" Then, the doll erupts in purple mist, only for a very familiar green sword to take its place. Ruby gasps in shock while I open my mouth and look with wide eyes at the blade.

(Y/N): "Is that...?"

Toy civilian: "Huh?" he looks down at the rabbit he just bought, only for it to change into a mouse eating a cheese plant "It's a fake!" Mako's staff meanwhile changes back to his mace.

Mako: "Finally!"

The toy soldier looks back to see his friend holding Yang's arm rather than a rod. The soldier freaks out and tosses it away.

Yang: "I'm going for it!" she runs for her arm, but grabs it at the same moment as the soldier. Fortunately, Ryze comes flying with a jet-powered punch, sending the soldier into the horizon. Ruby and I rush to the stage to grab the blade.

Little: "Fair's fair" Ruby picks up the sword, almost crying

(Y/N): "Rubes..."

Yang: "Ruby, (Y/N), let's go! I got my arm!" she runs by, followed by Blake and Ryze

Sam: "Just keep walking, nobody knows we're with them" He, Mako and Weiss walk by. Ruby picks up Little, and we made a run for it, leaving the 'trash panda' to deal with the mess. We keep running until we're at the safe distance in the red forest. Yang laughs.

Yang: "Hahaha, those people... take auctions... very seriously. High-five?" she offers her robot arm to Blake, who groans as she walks by. "High-five?" Weiss scoffs at the bad joke. "High-five?" Ryze however humors her and gives her a high-five.

Blake: "We're doing the same thing Alex did! We're ruining everything!"

(Y/N): "Yeah, and so? We got Yang's arm and Mako's weapon back. As long as I know, mission complete"

Blake: "You don't get it (Y/N). It's just... I've read so many stories. I never dreamed... that I would be the moral of one" she sits on a log. Ruby sits next to her, holding the green sword and just staring at it.

(Y/N): "Ruby, what's wrong?" I ask all concerned.

Ruby: "I couldn't explain why... I was drawn to it" Then, a storm forms, and it begins to rain as well as we hear thunder.

Weiss: "Great, now it's raining on JUST us. That's it! We're getting out of this nightmare. Alex went to the tree, right? Let's go!" She points at the tree.

Blake: "I don't think it's gonna work like that. In the book-"

Weiss: "We are NOT in a book! And even if we were, we know how it ends! Right over there" she gestures to the tree and begins walking in its direction... ending right back with us a moment later. Freaking out, she starts running towards the tree, with the same result "Grrr... Stupid tree!" she picks up a rock and throws it forward... only for it to come back and hit her in the back of the head, knocking her face-first into the ground. Mako and Ryze couldn't help, but burst out laughing, Sam gets to her, trying to get her up and I sigh.

Little: "Yeah, you can't get to the tree that way. Believe me, I already tried that"

Ryze: "Okay, if that won't work, then what's the plan now? We got Yang's arm and Mako's mace back, but we still have no idea how to get out of here" meanwhile, Weiss has yet another mental breakdown.

???: "This way! Somebody's sad!"

???#2: "I'd be sad too if I ruined the royal birthday" I sigh

(Y/N): "Great, more bullshit" I activate Ignition and await the opponents "Let me just burn those wooden toys to ash and get moving" Ruby is still staring at the sword

Ruby: "Blake, what did Alex do next?" the storm unexpectedly stops, and the sunshine returns

Blake: "She, uh... went to the crimson castle... And beat the Red King at his own game" The toy soldiers jump out of the bushes, riding... sticks with a toy horse head on them.

Toy Soldier#1: "Hands up! You treasonous birthday ruiners."

Yang: "Fine by me" she cocks her gauntlets, scaring the soldiers

(Y/N): "Let's get this over with" Soldiers look at me and become even more afraid

Mako: "Come on!" he gets his mace out

Ruby: "We want to go to the birthday party" her voice barely noticeable. She stands up and faces the soldiers "We want to go to the birthday party!"

Toy Soldier#1: "Well, too bad, because we're going to the... uh, oh. Yes. Well, that's where we're taking you... as prisoners for stealing royal property!"

Ruby: "What if I offered you something better?" she suggests, picking their interest "The weapon of a powerful warrior" She offers them... the blade, the same blade looking like one... Penny has always used...

(Y/N): "Ruby?" I powered down, Ruby looks at me and lets me know to keep quiet. I nod. Soldiers get a look at it.

Toy Soldiers: "Ooh. Go on?"

Ruby: "Not just a powerful warrior. The most powerful to ever live. She was touched by magic, and she gave her life for thousands. She took a message of hope to the stars, and she saw the world through better eyes. Take us to the royal birthday and allow us to present this most precious gift" Most of our group looks saddened, as everyone knows Ruby was talking about our deceased friend... about my little sister, Penny. I can feel a small tear escaping my eye, but I quickly dry it.

Toy Soldiers however are moved beyond everything, as the tear gets from their eyes

Toy Soldier#1: "Yes... by royal decree" he takes the blade "Come on, men, you heard her. We've got a birthday to celebrate" soldiers take their way to the royal castle.

Blake: "Ruby, are you sure about this?"

Ruby: "Look, we may not know what's going on, but for whatever reason, this place is putting us on a similar path as the book we all read as kids. I say we follow it... and stop pretending we know what we're doing" I can hear the bitterness in her voice, as she walks ahead of the group. I look as she walks away, sigh and follow her, with the rest of our group joining me soon as we get on the way to the royal birthday party.

'It's either will make her understand rules about the world better... or make her depression even worse. Petals, I'm with you, just say a thing, and I'm here'

A/N: "Kinda short, but there isn't any fighting or anything. Mainly dialog! FFS, I hope today's episode shows us some action, it's getting boring. What awaits the main heroes in the castle? What's the next stop after defeating the Red King? Wait and see for yourself in the next chapter of Continuing the Legacy! Next Saturday, around 7-9 PM CET"
