*(Y/N) POV*

After the announcing of teams, my team, Team RWBY and Team JNPR went on our way to our dorms. When we get to the floor for first years we noticed we all have rooms next to each other, which was nice. Having friends nearby is always a good thing. I notice Yang and Ryze are suspiciously too happy about it. We entered our dorm and I turned to everyone

(Y/N): "Okay, Team CRMS, before we start feeling like in home here, we need some basic rules. First off, if you invite a girl for a night don't try anything. I'm talking to you Ryze"

Ryze: "Fuck off. I would never do that"

(Y/N): "Yeah, right. Second, as this is our room we will need to clean it too. I suggest doing a schedule. One person will clean floors one week, next week this person will clean bathroom etc. You know where I'm going with this, right?" they nodded "Third, don't touch each other stuff without permission. If I find out you used my laptop I will skin you and later burn you alive"

Ryze: "Same if you touch my magazines"

Sam: "I don't even want to know what is in these 'magazines' but I have my suspicion..."

Ryze: "Shut up bro..."

(Y/N): "Fourth and most important. We are stuck here for four years with each other, so why not have some fun while we are here? We are a team from now, we should act as one. I also don't like the rules of one person, so we will vote anything involving team"

Mako: "I suggest one thing for vote now"

(Y/N): "Sure Mako, what's this?"

Mako: "I suggest we go to sleep. I'm fricking tired after initiation"

(Y/N): "Anyone who is for it, raise your hand" us four raised our hands "Okay, but before I have to make a call. Be right back" I exited the room, got my scroll out and called mom

Mom: "Hey (Y/N). I assume you are after initiation"

(Y/N): "Yeah mom. And sorry, I didn't passed" I snickered quietly so she didn't hear it

Mom: "You what?! How did you not passed?! What is Ozpin thinking?! I will go to James tomorrow, at least in Atlas they will see your potential!"

(Y/N): "Haha. You are so easy to trick mom. I passed with flying colors"

Mom: "... you are as much of a jerk as your father was"

(Y/N): "You know what they say, like father like son"

Mom: "Don't talk back to me young man. So your team, are they good?"

(Y/N): "Good is a small word to describe them. Ryze, Sam and Mako are all skilled"

Mom: "Your new friend I see"

(Y/N): "Yeah, together we form Team CRMS"

Mom: "Why C? And who is the leader?"

(Y/N): "I'm mom. And I think C stands for Calavera"

Mom: "(Y/N), my son, I'm proud of you. Your father also was a leader of his team"

(Y/N): "How do you know?"

Mom: "Me and your father met in Beacon. We were a part of Team AZRE(Azure)"

(Y/N): "So, you are a Huntress too?"

Mom: "Well, yes and no. I have my licence but I never took any missions after Beacon"

(Y/N): "Cool"

Mom: "Your mom is always cool, remember that. You made any other friends?"

(Y/N): "Well, I met with Weiss and Pyrrha here. From new people there is Ruby, her sister Yang and their teammate Blake. Together with Weiss they form Team RWBY with Ruby as their leader"

Mom: "That Ruby girl, how is she like?"

(Y/N): "Well, she is cute, likes to eat a ton of cookies, she also uses a scythe like me and have silver eyes, like me. She was moved two years ahead after me and her stopped Roman Torchwick week ago. Oh, and she also likes weapons"

Mom: "Sounds like a good pair for you"

(Y/N): "Mom! We are only friends... for now"

Mom: "So, you like her?"

(Y/N): "I just... yeah, I think so. I mean she is cute, brave. She beheaded a Nevermore today!"

Mom: "No way!"

(Y/N): "Yes way! She just run up the cliff and cut the Grimm's head clean off"

Mom: "She is strong. I hope you will introduce her to me soon, as your girlfriend of course"

(Y/N): "Mom!" my mom giggled

Mom: "Take your time (Y/N). Oh, and James wanted me to tell you to take care. And if something happens you are always welcome in Atlas Academy"

(Y/N): "You can thank General from me"

Mom: "I will. Hear you later (Y/N)"

(Y/N): "Yeah, hear you later mom" we ended the call. I entered my room, not knowing a certain Rose heard my whole conversation

*Ruby POV*

'Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!IcantbelievewhatIjustheard!(Y/N)likesmetoo!Andhecalledmecute!NoonebesidesYangandDadcalledmecutebefore!WhatshouldIdo?IcanttellYangbecauseshewillteaseme.Whyisthishappening?!Curseyou(Y/N)formakingmefeellikethis!'

After calming down, I returned to my room

Yang: "Did something happened sis?"

Blake: "You are kinda... blushing"

Ruby: "Oh... nothing happened..." I said slowly like I was dreaming, earning a questioning look from Yang and Blake "OH! I mean! Let's go to sleep guys! Goodnight!" I used my semblance to quickly get onto the bed, not wanting to answer Yang's eventual questions

*Y/N POV, next morning*

I slowly opened my eyes to see Sam and Mako getting ready in their uniforms

(Y/N): "Morning Team CRMS. When did they delivered our uniforms?"

Mako: "Hey (Y/N), they just got them here"

Sam: "Better get ready, we have Professor Port's classes at 9"

(Y/N): "Grimm studies?" they nodded "Anyway, where is Ryze?"

Sam: "I didn't saw him"

Mako: "Um, guys?" he pointed up. We then saw Ryze floating near the ceiling. Me and Sam started laughing

(Y/N): "Hahaha! Sam! Haha! Did he.. Did he often do this when you were living together?"

Sam: "Hehehe, yeah. I will get him down" One vine get around Ryze's ankle and it yanked him down as he lands on his ass, now fully awake

Ryze: "What the fuck?! What the hell Sam!"

Sam: "You were sleep floating"

Ryze: "Oh for fuck... What's the time?"

Mako: "7:30" he throw Ryze his uniform

(Y/N): "We have our first mission today gentleman" they looked at me "Getting something to eat. I'm starving!"

Mako: "Yeah, breakfast will be good"

Sam: "Get changed boss, you too Ryze" I went to the bathroom, get changed into my uniform. I kept the jacket open because, why not? After me went Ryze, and he just went with total Bakugo look, untied tie, open jacked etc. You know what am I talking about. After that we were on our way to cafeteria, stopping by Team RWBY's dorm, as we can hear construction site noises coming from inside

(Y/N): "Do we get girls with us or we should...?"

Sam: "Let them be. They are probably busy decorating their room" I shrugged and we went to eat breakfast. After eating we went to Port's class and take our seats

CRMS: "Good morning, Professor Port"

Port: "Oh, Team CRMS. Good morning to you too boys. I see you are early"

(Y/N): "Making first impression is important Professor"

Port: "Indeed it is Mr.(L/N)" He checked the time on his pocket watch "We still have some time to kill, do any of you know what's inside of this cage?" he pointed to that cage. From the sounds I can tell it was Boarbatusk, Sam seemed to know it too

Sam: "It's Boarbatusk, Professor. The sound emitting from the cage make it clear"

Port: "Bravo. Bravo! You seems to have knowledge about the subject Mr. Kiryuin"

Sam: "Thank you sir"

Port: "It reminds me when I was a little boy. My father said 'Peter..." And I just turned off, as Professor started to tell us about his past. I checked the time to see it was 8:55, and yet Team RWBY and JNPR are to get here

(Y/N): "What's taking them so long?"

Ryze: "What? You can't wait to see Ruby?"

(Y/N): "Maybe... and  you can't wait to see Yang"

Ryze: "You bet I can't"

As class was about to start I heard the doors slam open and in them stood Team RWBY and JNPR. They enter the class

Port: "Ah, Team RWBY and Team JNPR, please try to make it to class on time"

Ruby: "Sorry sir! Won't happen again!"

Port: "Good, now please take your seats" Team RWBY saw us and make their way to where we sit. Me and Ruby were in the middle with my team on my left and Ruby's team on her right

(Y/N): "What took you four so long?" I whispered

Ruby: "We were making bunk beds!" She whisper-shouted, all excited

(Y/N): "Bunk beds? You know Petals, I don't even want to know"

Ruby: "Shhh. The class is starting"

Port: "Monsters! Demons... Prowlers of the night. Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey Ha ha!" 

As Port started his lecture, Ruby instantly fall asleep. Ryze did too. Yang and Blake were sitting up, paying attention. Mako was too interested in that cricket on the floor and Sam was just leaning his head in hopes that King Taijitu's attack will end our suffering. I? I turned off. It's an amazing talent to just turn off whenever I want. Weiss meanwhile take notes. I asked myself why, all Port did by now was making some bad jokes. Jokes that seemed to wake Ruby up, as cricket made a noise

Port: "Uhh, and you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy. Now as I was saying, Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world"

Ryze: "He never been in Vacuo..." he groaned and get back to sleep

Port: "Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces. And that's where we come in. Huntsman! Huntresses..." he clicked his tongue at Yang as she groans and I could see Ryze tensing up "Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why... The very world!" A random student get up with his fist out

Random student: "Ayy yep!" we gave him weird looks

(Y/N): "Sit down man, bad moment" He sat down and Port continued his lesson

Port: "That is what you are training to become. But first, a story. A tale of a young, handsome, man... Me! When I was a boy..." Me, Sam and Mako groaned

(Y/N): "He is starting this again..."

Sam: "Just shot me. Mako, you have your pistols?"

Mako: "I would shot myself first if we were allowed to carry our weapons..."

Not wanting to hear another story from his past I turned him out. I looked over Ruby's shoulder to see what she was writing. She noticed me and turned her back to me, hiding the piece of paper

Ruby: "No peaking"

(Y/N): "Just what are you doing Ruby?"

Ruby: "You will see when I finish"

(Y/N): "Whatever you say Petals" I turned back to Port to see if something interesting is happening

Port: "Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter' he told me..." I faceplant into my desk, wondering if my dad had to also deal with his stories.

I lie there until I feel a tug on my sleeve. I get my head up to see Ruby giggling, holding a bad drawing of Professor Port with stink lines coming off him and the description saying 'Professor Poop'. She later blows a raspberry as her and Yang laugh, I tried to stiffen a laughter, Mako just giggled and Sam smiled. Ryze was still asleep. Port noticed us and clears his throat to stop the commotion

Port: "In the end the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity. And I returned to my village with beast in captivity and my head held high. Celebrated, as a hero" He bows "The moral of this story? A true huntsman must be honorable!"

I looked back at Ruby to see her balancing an apple on a book with her pencil, balancing it all on her finger while making a silly face

(Y/N): "I think I can make your tower more awesome Ruby"

Ruby: "You can?"

(Y/N): "Yhm" I started a fire and let it envelope the apple "Flaming balance tower"

Ruby: "Cool!" she said before continuing to make that silly face while balancing the flaming apple on top of her book

Port: "A true huntsman must be dependable" Ruby somehow fallen asleep again, leaning on my shoulder. Yang take her scroll from under her desk, take a picture of us and slowly hides it back down

(Y/N): "My revenge will come yanging at you, Xiao Long" I whispered to Yang as she tried not to laugh from my pun

Yang: "Good one (Y/N)" I turned back to Ruby and gently poked her shoulder. She snore cutely before opening her eyes and looking around, clearly confused

Ruby: "Whaa? (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "Rubes, please try not to drool too much on my uniform. I don't care if you want to use me as your pillow, as long as you don't drool on it, you are welcome" she blushed

Ruby: "Sorry (Y/N). I'm bored to death and I just can't stay awake" she whined

(Y/N): "Look. It's the second story I hear from him today, I'm bored too, but, it's also our first day, so we need to make good impressions. Try to stay awake, for me"

Ruby: "Okay" I turned back forward and let Ruby do her thing

Port: "A true huntsman must be strategic, well educated and wise!"

'Oh my Oum. Grimms probably kill less people than Port's boring lectures' I turned back to Ruby to see her picking her nose

(Y/N): "First off, that's gross Ruby, a cute girl like you shouldn't pick her nose" Ruby turned red

Ruby: "C-cute?!"

(Y/N): "Yeah, you are cute. Second, you seem to anger Weiss with your behavior"

Ruby: "I did?" she state sadly and I nodded

(Y/N): "Yup. To think about it I maybe ticked her off too" 

Port: "So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?" Weiss quickly get her hand up

Weiss: "I do sir!"

Port: "Well then, let's find out! Step forward, and face your opponent" Weiss leave to the locker room to get ready as I turned to wake up Ryze. I shake him by the shoulder

Ryze: "Is this misery finally over?"

(Y/N): "Nope. But Ice Queen will fight that Boarbatusk"

Ryze: "Oi. What happened?"

(Y/N): Me and Ruby were messing around, she got angry and wanted to prove something"

Ryze: "Talk about short tempered..."

(Y/N): "She was always like this..." I turned back to the Rose to see a depressed look on her face "Don't worry Ruby, Weiss was always a 'goody two-shoes' or at least that's what she thinks" Ruby smiled

Ruby: "Thanks (Y/N)"

(Y/N): "Anytime" Then Weiss returned holding her weapon. Ruby started cheering for her, along with Blake and Yang

Yang: "Gooo Weiss!" Yang raised her fist while Blake was holding a small flag with letters 'RWBY' on it

Blake: "Fight well!"

(Y/N): "Blake, from where did you get that?"

Blake: "This flag?" she pointed to it and I nodded "Merch store"

(y/N): "Oh. Team CRMS! Our next mission after classes is to get to the merch store and find the biggest 'CRMS' banner they have!"

*RMS: "Hell yeah!"

Ruby: "Yeah, represent Team RWBY!" Weiss turned to her

Weiss: "Ruby! I'm trying to focus"

Ruby: "Oh, sorry" I patted her back

(Y/N): "Don't blame this poor girl Weiss Cream. She only wants you to do your best"

Weiss: "Whatever" to which I responded with 'Tsk'

Port: "Alright. Let the match, begin" Port released the Grimm inside the cage, revealing me and Sam were indeed right. Boarbatusk immediately charges at Weiss. She parry it's charge with her Myrtenaster and roll to the side. 

Port: "Ha ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?"

Ruby: "Hang in there Weiss!"

Weiss decided to attack the Boarbatusk head on, stabbing her weapon straight into its skull. unfortunately it gets stuck in it's tusks. She tries to free her weapon by tossing around

Port: "Bold, new approach. I like it!"

Ruby: "Come on Weiss, show it who's boss!" Weiss turned to Ruby and gave her a glare.

'Rule number one, never look away from your opponent'

Weiss quickly learned that as Grimm rips her weapon from her grip, knocking her over and throwing her weapon across the classroom

Port: "Oho, now what will you do without your weapon?"

Grimm charges as she quickly roll aside, making the Boarbatusk to crash into the wall. She later dashed toward her weapon. After recovering it, ruby gave her an advice

Ruby: "Weiss, go for it's belly! there is no armor underneath..."

Weiss: "Stop telling me what to do!" she had enough. Ruby seemed hurt by her behavior. I patted Ruby's back, trying to comfort her

(Y/N): "Don't worry Ruby. Everything is alright"

Ruby: "I just wanted to help her. And she shouts at me in return" she whined on the verge of tears

(Y/N): "Shhh. Don't cry Petals. Tears doesn't suit you" I heard a squeal as I turn my head up to see Weiss impaled her weapon in Boarbatusk's bell, just like Ruby told her to

Port: "Bravo! Bravo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress in training! I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and, stay vigilant! Class dismissed!" Weiss glares at Ruby, later at me, before turning away and stomping out the entrance. 

Jaune: "Sheesh, what's with her?"

(Y/N): "Her spoiled side is showing up..."

Blake and Yang also seemed to question Weiss behavior. My team stood up and get's ready to exit

Sam: "Boss, you are coming?"

(Y/N): "I will join you later guys. Go find that banner"

Ryze: "Whatever you say (Y/N)" They exited the classroom. Soon after them Ruby run to catch up with Weiss. I follow her

Ruby: "Weiss!"

(Y/N): "Weiss Cream, wait!" we turned the corner to see her

Weiss: "What?"

Ruby: "What's wrong with you? Why are you being.."

Weiss: "What's wrong with me? What's wrong with the two of you?" She pointed at Ruby "You're supposed to be a leader and all you've been so far is a nuisance" Ruby scoffed

Ruby: "What did I do?"

Weiss: "That's just it, you've done nothing to earn your position. Back in the forest you acted like a child and you've only continued to do so"

(Y/N): "Weiss, why are you being so harsh on Ruby?"

Ruby: "What happened to all the talk about working together? I thought you believed in acting as a team"

Weiss: "Not a team led by you" she then pointed at me "Or you. You behaved just like her since the beginning of today's lesson! I've studied, and trained and quite frankly I deserve better"

(Y/N): "Oh boy here we come again... Weiss, stop acting like a spoiled brat. Just because me and Ruby goof off a little doesn't mean she or I are not going to be a good leaders. Let me tell you, you are just jealous because Ruby get to be a leader, and not you. You may think you are skilled, but it's only matched by your poor behavior. You always got what you wanted and when your request was denied, you threw a tantrum, just like now..."

*slap*

Weiss: "The nerve of some people!" She slapped me "Ozpin made a mistake. With both of you" I just hold my cheek as Weiss walks away

Ruby: "(Y/N), are you okay?"

(Y/N): "Yeah, Weiss slapped me before so I'm used to this"

Ruby: "Th-thanks for standing up for me. I really appreciate that" we stood there in silence for a while "Do you believe in what she said?"

(Y/N): "Huh?"

Ruby: "That Ozpin made a mistake making us leaders?" she asked with her head down

(Y/N): "Yeah, right. Like I would believe a little short tempered, spoiled Schnee. Ruby, don't take what Weiss said seriously. She thinks that being a leader is an easy job, and let me tell you it's not. It's not just a title that you take into battle like Weiss believes. It's a badge you wear constantly and can never take it of. I know it's hard, we need to think not only about us but also about our entire team. If we are not at our best, what reason our team members have to follow our orders, huh? None, so Rubes" she looked up at me "Have faith in your girls like I have faith in my boys. Weiss will come around, maybe not now, maybe not in this week" Ruby groaned "Maybe not even during the first semester "Ruby groaned louder "But she will, and I'm sure she will try to be the best teammate you will ever have. And I'm sure that one day you'll be an amazing leader that everyone respects" Ruby instead of groaning get me in a tight hug with a massive smile on her face

Ruby: "Thank you (Y/N). You are right and I will not let you down" I returned the hug "And I'm sure you will be an amazing leader too"

(Y/N): "Thanks Petals"

We break the hug just in time as Ozpin walks to us

Ozpin: "I'm hoping I'm not interrupting anything?"

(Y/N): "Not at all Professor Ozpin, Ruby had some doubts about you choosing us as team leaders"

Ozpin: "And why is that Ms.Rose?"

Ruby: "It's just... Weiss said you made a mistake with us. And (Y/N) told me to not believe her"

Ozpin: "It sure were wise words Mr.(L/N). I wouldn't have said that better" he took a sip from his cup" Ruby, (Y/N), I've made more mistakes than any man, woman and child on this planet. But at this moment I would not consider both of yours appointment to leaders to be one of them"

(Y/N): "Thanks Professor"

Ozpin: "Don't thank me (Y/N). You both worked hard to be where you are now" We started to walk off "And Mr.(L/N)"

(Y/N): "Yes Professor?"

Ozpin: "You are just like your father. Albert would be proud of a Huntsman you are going to be" I just nodded and followed Ruby back to the dorms

*Timeskip, near the dorms*

Ruby: "and then I said 'Now that's a katana!'" We both laughed

(Y/N): "Good one Ruby. Hey, I got one now. Why did Nevermore crossed the street?"

Ruby: "I don't know, why?"

(Y/N): "To knock on a idiot's doors. Knock knock"

Ruby: "Who is there?"

(Y/N): "A Nevermore" she blushed and I smirked

Ruby: "Jerk!" She lightly slapped my chest

(Y/N): "Hey, it was good too"

Ruby: "The only one who have worse jokes is Yang"

(Y/N): "Yeah" I get in front of my dorm "I'm here, see you tomorrow Rubes"

Ruby: "Before you go" she get on her tiptoes and kissed me on the cheek "Thanksforstandingupformeseeyoutomorrow(Y/N)!" after that she used her semblance to rush to her room, with a blush as red as her cape and leaving a trail of rose petals behind her. I just hold my cheek in amazement until Ryze opened the doors

Ryze: "How was your date with Ruby?"

(Y/N): "..."

Ryze: "Oi, (Y/N), you awake?" I shake my head

(Y/N): "Yeah. So I see you guys found the banner" I looked up to see a giant banner with 'CRMS' on it hanging on the longer wall

Ryze: "You owe me 100 Lien" I handed him 200 Lien

(Y/N): "Keep the change and get yourself a haircut, will ya?"

Ryze: "Fuck you (L/N)"

Sam: "Anyway, we heard what Weiss was saying about Ruby and you, chief"

Mako: "And we don't agree with Ice Queen"

Ryze: "She may disagree with Ruby being a leader of Team RWBY, but she have shit to say when it comes to Team CRMS. We all decided"

Sam: "We will be the best teammates you will have (Y/N). We will follow you through the flames if needed"

Mako: "Because we know it'll be a necessary to win and survive"

(Y/N): "Thanks guys, but we will not be jumping into the flames anytime soon. And I only want you to follow my orders on the battlefield. Off of it we are four guys who stood equal with each other, like friends we are"

Ryze: "I'm fine with that"

Sam: "Sure, you know what they say, better have a friend than an enemy"

Mako: "I'm in too!"

(Y/N): "Great. So, friends, I ask you to not call me chief, boss or anything like that. I'm (Y/N), I'm not your boss, I'm not your chief. We are all just a bunch of teenagers, trying to have some fun while slaying dark monsters and maybe fighting criminals. So, Team CRMS, let's make those four years ahead of us to be filled with fun, joy, parties, girls and maybe even some alcohol when we can buy it in the future!"

*RMS: "Yeah!"

Ryze: "Why wait?! I can get us some whisky right now!"

(Y/N): "I don't even want to ask, but from where?"

Ryze: "I have my sources, don't worry (Y/N)"

We started laughing. Soon we went to do our homework. I was just about to turn for the night when I heard a knocking on our doors. I walked to it and opened them up to see Weiss

(Y/N): "Hey Weiss Cream, what's so importat..." she cut me off by a hug

Weiss: "I'm sorry (Y/N). I shouldn't have told you and Ruby that Ozpin made a mistake. You were right. I behaved like a spoiled brat"

(Y/N): "I'm glad you understood your mistakes Weiss, but you should apologize to Ruby too, she is your leader, not me"

Weiss: "I already did. I just wanted to make it up with my childhood friend. So, we are good?"

(Y/N): "We are more than good Snow Cone. We are 'cool'" she rolled her eyes

Weiss: "Dolt..."

(Y/N): "Ice Queen"

Weiss: "Dunce!"

(Y/N): "Spoiled brat!" we looked at each other and started laughing "It's good to see you got that stick out of your ass, Weiss Cream"

Weiss: "Hey!" 

(Y/N): "See you tomorrow. Goodnight Weiss"

Weiss: "Goodnight (Y/N)" I closed the doors and lied back on my bed  to soon drift to the dream land
