*(Y/N) POV*

Ruby couldn't sleep, so she decided to wake me up and drag me outside to watch the sunrise.

(Y/N): "*yawn* Petal, did you really have to drag me outside at" I check the time on my scroll "six in the morning? Couldn't you go alone?"

Ruby: "I didn't want to go alone. I wanted to watch the sunrise with you" she whined

(Y/N): "Okay, okay. Geez you're so demanding sometimes" Ruby gave me a smirk

Ruby: "You love me and you know it, Cookie" I smile at her

(Y/N): "Yeah, from the bottom of my heart" Ruby blushed slightly

We lie down next to each other, holding hands and watching the morning sky

(Y/N): "Like Nora said, another day, another adventure *sigh* It's good we have moments like this to catch our breath"

Ruby: "Yeah... Watching sunrise with your loved ones... it's way better than sleep"

(Y/N): "Plus... we are alone from everyone else. So..."

I smirk at her as Ruby blush. We lean in for a kiss, close our eyes and soon our lips connect. We stay like this until someone interrupted us

???: "Oh, looks like we interrupted them something, Goldie" We look behind to see Yang and Ryze. We sit upright as Ruby tries to hide her blush while I just shrug

(Y/N): "Hey you two"

Ruby: "What are you doing up so early?!"

Yang: "Relax sis, I know you two did 'much' more than a kiss"

(Y/N): "Ryze! I told you not to tell her!"

Ryze: "I didn't!"

(Y/N): "*sigh* Well, it's up now. I'm ready to die. Just be quick, Yang"

Yang: "What? I won't kill you. I just ask you to be good for her. Oh, and you have my blessing"

Ruby: "YANG!"

(Y/N): "Thanks. So, when you two will get engaged. Ryze already-" Ryze quickly covered my mouth with his hand

Ryze: "I already thought about this. Hehe"

Yang: "Ohhh, how sweet of you honey. So I should expect one?"

Ryze: "You will see" he smirks at her "Well, as to what we are doing here, we couldn't fall back to sleep. We heard you talk and decided to join"

???: "Well, fortunately, coffee exists"

We looked back to see Weiss, Sam and Mako coming our way. Weiss and Sam both carry a tray with three cups each while Mako holds a cup of his own. They made their way to us

Sam: "Mind if we join you?"

(Y/N): "Not at all" Sam lowers the tray and me and Ryze get our cups. Weiss did the same and Yang grabs hers

Sam: "Black with no sugar like you like Ryze and two sugars and some cream for you, boss"

(Y/N): "Thanks Sam"

Ruby: "No, please!"

Weiss: "Don't worry, I put in blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar, just for you" she holds a cup in front of Ruby

Ruby: "Oh yeah! Nice Weiss strikes again!" Weiss pull the cup away just as Ruby was about to grab it

Weiss: "I will pour this on you and it will burn" she hands Ruby her cup as she nervously giggles. All of us now sit down next to each other

(Y/N): "Come on Weiss Cream. We know you'd never do that"

Weiss: "Try me and you'll see"

(Y/N): "Yeah, yeah, big talk from a big softie like you"

Weiss: "Hey! I'm not soft!"

(Y/N): "You melt on the sight of puppies or babies" she punches my shoulder while I laugh. After that we overlook the sunrise

Yang: "I can't believe we're actually in Mistral"

Ruby: "That's what you can't believe?"

Ryze: "To be fair, I still have a hard time believing (Y/N) and Sam had some powers coming from Maidens, and Maidens themselves. And magic and stuff"

Sam: "I'm more surprised to see my suspicions were right. Grimm really are like a beehive with Salem as their Queen"

Weiss: "I honestly wasn't sure if I'd see you six again"

(Y/N): "Ruby, don't chug your coffee" I said as I try to wrestle her away from her drink

Yang: "Well, here's to defying expectations"

Ryze: "And to great returns!"

I was successful with keeping Ruby for drinking her coffee all at once long enough to join the toast. The seven of us knock our cups together lightly as Ruby continues her sugar rush.

'I will have a hard time with her on sugar'

We all took a sip of our drinks as Ruby stopped for a while

Ruby: "I just wish Blake could be here with us"

Ryze: "Oh, shit..." he said under his breath

Yang: "Yeah, well, she made her choice" Ruby and Weiss look at each other while I and my team exchange worried looks

Weiss: "What's that supposed to mean?"

Yang: "I mean she could've been here if she just stuck around. It's no big deal though. We'll be fine" anger in her voice Both Ruby and Weiss look at her

Ruby: "Don't you want her here?"

Yang: "Why would I want her here?"

(Y/N): "Because she is your teammate? Your friend?"

Yang: "Yeah, friend. Friend who left all of us? What? Am I supposed to just forgive her from running away with her tail between her legs in the middle of the night?!"

(Y/N): "Well, me and Ruby left too and I don't see you being mad at us. Not saying anything about Sam going after Weiss to Atlas"

Yang: "That's not the same! At least you two left with a note and Sam wanted to save Weiss! She didn't even say anything, she just ran!

Ruby: "Are you still mad at her for leaving?" Yang scoffs

Yang: "Oh, whatever gave you that idea, Ruby? No, I'm totally fine. I'm great"

Ryze: "Babe, calm down"

Yang: "Don't tell me to calm down!" her eyes turns red as Ruby and Weiss look startled

Ruby: "Whoa, Yang"

Yang calms down

(Y/N): "You know, Yang. I knew you would be sore after what Blake did. But now you just behave like a selfish asshole. She had a family too. She had her problems too" Yang scoffs

Yang: "Whatever..." she gets up and leaves while we look at her in concern

Mako: "What the hell was that?"

Ryze: "Scars from Blake leaving are still fresh for her"

(Y/N): "She can't blame her for that. We all were in bad shape after Beacon, and Blake almost had a mental breakdown. She went to Menagerie, right Mako"

Mako: "If my friend, Dereck is right then yeah. She went to visit her family"

Weiss: "You got any info on her?"

Mako: "The letter came yesterday. And that's all we know for now"

Sam: "Dammit. Ryze, maybe try to talk with Yang about this"

Ryze: "I tried, with no results"

Weiss: "I will go. I think I had an idea how to get to her"

(Y/N): "Go try your magic, Ice Queen" Weiss rolls her eyes and leaves to go after Yang

Ryze: "I think I will go train. Mako, you up to?"

Mako: "Sure. I have to get back in shape. After all" He removes his eye patch and we can see his prosthetic eye "I finally got used to this"

Ruby: "Wow! Do you see normally with it?! How many fingers am I holding?!" she said while holding three fingers up while we laugh a little at her

Mako: "To answer your questions, Ruby. Yes and you're holding three fingers. I also had a HUD build into it. It shows my Aura level as well as yours, guys" he said to me, Sam and Ryze"

(Y/N): "Neat. Mom got you one from the top shelf"

Ryze: "So what are we waiting for?! Come on Mako! Let's test it!" They leave to do their thing as Sam also gets up saying he will search for something in library, leaving me and Ruby alone

(Y/N): "Petals, you okay?"

Ruby: "Yeah... I trust Weiss with Yang. Sooo... what do you wanna do now?"

(Y/N): "How about we go for a walk around the city?"

Ruby: "Sure"

*Timeskip*

We made our way to the city. Looking around the stalls

(Y/N): "See, a good walk to keep our minds busy while Weiss take care of Yang" I looked down to her to see a sad frown on Ruby's face, with worry behind her eyes "*sigh* Ruby, I know you worry, but try not to think about this" Ruby groans "How about we come back to the house and play video games?"

*Timeskip*

Announce: "Soaring Ninja wins! Total Annihilation!"

(Y/N): "Agh! Ruby, how did you use that combo?" I looked to her to see her throwing her scroll to the side of our bed and later look down with the same sad frown "Petals..."

Ruby: "Argh! I can't do this anymore!"

(Y/N): "What?"

Ruby: "I gotta go see how they're doing!"

(Y/N): "Ruby, wait!" She stands up, grabbing the hood of my cloak in process and dragging me behind her towards Yang's and Ryze's room. When we get there we see Sam and Ryze are walking towards there too

Ryze: "You two wanted to check on Yang and Weiss too?" Ruby nods as we can hear a talk coming from inside

Weiss: "I know it's not easy. I wish she hadn't left too. The only thing we can do now is be there for her when she's ready. When she comes back"

Yang: "If she comes back"

Weiss: "She will. Yang... You, Ruby, (Y/N), his team and even Blake are more like family to me than my brother or even my own father. I would do anything for you three, and I'm willing to bet Blake feels the same way. So, when she's ready, I'll be there for her. And I know we're not as close, but... I'm here for you too" Ruby then proceeded to knock at the door. She opens it up and we can see Weiss and Yang sitting on one bed with Weiss hand on Yang's back

Ruby: "Is, uh... everything okay?"

Ryze: "You calmed down, Sunny Dragon?"

Yang: "Yeah. I'm good now" we all sighs in relief

(Y/N): "Thank fucking Oum!"

Yang: "(Y/N), Ryze, Sam" we look at her "Does Mako say anything else about Blake?"

(Y/N): "Yeah... But it's not good news. His friend spotted some White Fang soldiers around her house"

Weiss and Yang: "What?!"

Weiss: "We need to help her!"

(Y/N): "Calm down. There is no way they allow a human there, not saying anything about a Schnee"

Yang: "So, what can we do?"

Ryze: "Only wait and hope her, Sun and Dereck will handle the stuff there"

(Y/N): "They will. I wouldn't worry. We have more things to think about here"

Yang: "Like?"

(Y/N): "The Headmaster at Haven was behaving weird when we visited him. Like, he was surprised to see us. He might forgot we were suppose to visit, but I think something bigger is behind it"

Ruby: "What's on your mind, Cookie?"

(Y/N): "In the best case for us, he have an Alzheimer, in worst, he's working for Salem" they gasp

Ryze: "What gave you this idea (L/N)?"

(Y/N): "Everything. Although it is just my suspicion, there is a chance he was compromised. I will talk with Oz about this. Right now all we have to do is train and be ready" we all nod and went on our way

*timeskip*

Me and Ruby are in our room, talking

Ruby: "We know about Relic at Haven. And Spring Maiden and her Guardian. But what about Fall Maiden?"

(Y/N): "You mean a fake Fall Maiden who I swore to kill in order to free Fall Maiden's powers, Cinder Fall?"

Ruby: "Yup, that's the one. And what about Relic at Beacon?"

(Y/N): "It would be bad if Salem got it. You know what? Why not just ask Ozpin?" I stand up from the bed

Ruby: "Maybe his cane is a Relic" I snicker

(Y/N): "Maybe, but I doubt it" we went on our way to the living room. When we get there we saw Ozpin in control of Oscar talking with Qrow

Ruby: "Um, excuse us?"

Ozpin: "Ah, Miss Rose, Mr. (L/N), join us. We were just about to gather everyone to discuss our next steps for the mission"

(Y/N): "Finally. I was getting bored with kicking Oscar and Jaune around" Ozpin seems to listen to Oscar

Ozpin: "Don't worry. Although Mr. (L/N)'s methods are... unconventional, I saw a great progress after your training with him, Oscar"

(Y/N): "Don't complain Oscar. I still have a lot to teach you"

Qrow: "Anyway. Is there something you two want to ask us?"

Ruby: "Uh... uh, it's... if it's okay to ask" Qrow nods

Qrow: "Of course it is, kiddo" Ruby looks away a bit before looking back at them

Ruby: "Well, uh... we've been talking about the Relic at Haven... and the Spring Maiden, but... what about the Fall Maiden?"

Ozpin: "Cinder?"

(Y/N): "No, Ryze. Of course we mean Cinder, the false Maiden. With her, and by that Salem, having control of Fall Maiden's power, do they now have the Relic from Beacon? The school is still infested with Grimm after all" Oz and Qrow share a brief look with each other

Ozpin: "Very astute, you two. I was wondering who would be the first to ask. No, thankfully she does not. It's true that the Relic at Haven is very much at risk, and for now, that should remain our primary focus. Let's just say I made finding the Relic at Beacon a... bit more challenging than at the other schools" We both sigh in relief

Ruby: "That's good to hear"

Ozpin: "It is, but let's not forget the challenges that still lie before us" Ruby nods while I hum in acknowledgement "Now are there anything else we can help you two with?"

Ruby: "Oh, uh... well, I did have one more question"

Ozpin: ""No, my cane is not a Relic" he smirks

Ruby: "I have no more questions" she smiles while I chuckle

(Y/N): "I told you it wasn't"

Ruby: "Shut up!"

Ozpin: "Yes, while this cane is indeed very precious to me, it is also just that - precious to me. While I admit it still has a few more tricks up its sleeve, I can firmly say that being a Relic isn't one of them. Now why don't you two run along and get the others?" We then hear buzzing, as Qrow takes out his scroll and answers the call

Qrow: "Yeah? ... Okay... yeah, we'll be there" he hangs up

Ruby: "Who was it?" Qrow sighs while taking out his flask

Qrow: "It was Leo, says he had a breakthrough with the council. Thinks he might be able to get together a small raiding party for the bandits. He wants us to meet up at the school tomorrow night to walk us through it" he takes a swig of his flask as Ruby gasps in excitement

Ruby: "Really? Oh that's great! I'll go get the others" she runs out of the room while I stay with Oz and Qrow

Ozpin: "Mmm, that sounds drastically different from your original conversation, does it not?"

Qrow: "It does"

(Y/N): "We spent a month here without any sign from him and all of a sudden he suddenly has a breakthrough. It now really tingles my suspicions about him"

Ozpin: "What's on your mind, (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "Lionheart is working for Salem" they look at me with wide eyes "I mean, I think that call was to lead us to their trap. We need to be ready for eventual ambush"

Qrow: "Kid, what the hell did you drunk last night?"

Ozpin: "Actually, Qrow, (Y/N) may have a point. When you look at it, it all seems to lead to that conclusion. Very well, Mr.(L/N). We will keep in mind what you told us. Go gather your teammates as well" I nod and leave the room

*Ryze POV*

Me and Yang are sitting in our room

Ryze: "So, you think your mom is gonna actually cooperate with us in handing over the Spring Maiden?"

Yang: "I doubt it. She won't give up the main source of her tribe's power without a fight. You think we'll be in for some trouble?"

Ryze: "Probably. The bandits, we can easily kick their ass. The main issue will be Raven and the Maiden. (Y/N) and Sam are Guardians, but only (Y/N) can harness his powers. And from what he told me Qrow and Raven are evenly matched. If (Y/N) and Qrow team up against your mom, they may be able to defeat her. That's still leaves Spring Maiden and her powers which we have no fucking idea about" Yang sighs

Yang: "I wish it wouldn't be as hard as it sounds" she lies back on her bed

Ryze: "I thought that we already threw the 'easy' word out of the window. Well... Babe, do you think you can actually fight your mom?" Yang sits up and looks at me

Yang: "I'm here to help Ruby. I don't care who it is. If anyone tries to hurt her, they have to go through me first. That includes my mom"

Ryze: "More like they have to go through (Y/N) first. I saw what he was about to do in the docks at the end of first semester"

Yang: "What did he do?"

Ryze: "He used his flames to attach himself to Torchwick's bullhead and later tried to kill him . All because he tried to hurt Ruby" we sit in silence for a while until we hear knocking and Ruby speaking afterwards

Ruby: "Ryze! Yang! Ozpin wanted us to gather in the living room before we go to Professor Lionheart! Oh! And take your weapons!"

Yang: "We will be there in a while, Ruby!"

Ryze: "*sigh* So it's time..." I grab my guitar case with my weapons before we head out

*Timeskip, (Y/N) POV*

It's late out as our group gets to Haven Academy. We're currently walking towards Lionheart's office. I stop and address my team

(Y/N): "Ryze. Sam. Mako" they stop and turn to me "Be sure to not hold back if anything goes south. I still had the same weird feeling like before the Fall of Beacon"

Mako: "I just hope it won't become the Fall of Haven now. We don't have as much people as we had back there"

(Y/N): "Just... be safe guys. I don't want to go to any of your funerals" they nod and we follow the group. We soon enter the building to see Lionheart on the terrace in the center of the large room of the building, flanked by two stairways, and a statue of a woman underneath him, holding the terrace up"

Lionheart: "Why hello. Thank you for... coming. There... seems to be more of you than last time" he nervously chuckles as we look up at him

Qrow: "Well, you know what they say, 'The more the merrier'. So, what's going on with the council?"

Lionheart: "Why... did you bring your weapons?"

(Y/N): "Why shouldn't we? We are Huntsman, after all" I cross my arms

Lionheart: "Of course! Of course. My apologies, young man. Just haven't had my evening coffee"

Qrow: "Look, it's nice to see you, but we got work to do. Are we getting support from the council or not?" Yang looks to the balcony as I follow her gaze to see a... raven"

Yang: "Mom?"

Our's attention then turns to the bird. It flies away just as Qrow and I shoot at it, but we miss. The bird flies down behind Lionheart, transforming into... Raven. We glare at her

(Y/N): "Long time no see, Raven" I say with venom

Yang: "Wait?! You know my mom?!"

(Y/N): "She visited my dad from time to time. She wanted him to join her tribe"

Nora: "They... they really are magic" Raven takes off her mask

Raven: "If you two are going to shoot me, shoot me. That was insulting" Qrow takes out his sword

Qrow: "What are you doing here?!" Raven starts walking down the stairs

Raven: "I could ask you the same thing. You've been scheming, little brother. Planning to attack your own sister"

Qrow: "Leo... what have you done?!"

Sam: "He sold us out" he clenches his fists

Lionheart: "I-"

Raven: "Leo did what any sane person would in his position - he looked at all the information he had in front of him, assessed the situation, and made a choice. And it seems you all have too" she glares at Yang and later at... me

(Y/N): "Dad told you to fuck off, didn't he? He would never join your tribe, and you can be sure I won't too"

Raven: "*tsk* As stubborn as his father. Very well. I can't say I didn't try"

Qrow: "You have the Spring Maiden"

Raven: "I do"

Qrow: "Then hand her over and let's work together! We can beat Salem!" he tries to reason with Raven

Raven: "All that time spent spying for Ozpin and you still have no idea what you're dealing with. There is no beating Salem!"

Ruby: "You're wrong. We've done things that most people would call impossible, and I know the only reason we were able to do it is because we didn't do it alone! We had people to teach us, people to help us, we had each other. Work with us. At least I know we'll have a better chance if we try together. Please" Raven glares at Ruby

Raven: "You sound just like your mother"

She draws her sword and creates a portal with her Semblance. From the portal, a fireball is launched at Ruby. I react fast enough to get before her and disperse the attack. I narrow my eyes as I see Cinder, Mercury, Emerald, some women and some crocodile Faunus with a shaved head, dark-green grayish mohawk and yellow eyes. She wore a dark green collared shirt with a dark brown corset that has a strap attached to a narrow belt around her thigh, black and gray striped trousers and black shoes. In addition, she wore dark brown fingerless gloves step out of the portal

Cinder: "Hello boys and girls" She glares at me "And my Guardian" to which I growl and Ruby glares at her

Ruby: "Cinder" she mutters with anger

Cinder and her group line up alongside Raven, with everyone else shocked to see them

Mercury: "C'mon guys. Is that any way to greet your old friends?"

(Y/N): "I should have cut your head off when I had the chance"

Mercury: "Well, too bad, you missed your chance"

(Y/N): "You will be missing your coconut brain when I'm done with you. Or did you forget how I beat the crap out of you before cutting your legs!" Mercury growls

Qrow: "Everybody, stay calm" Then we hear doors opening. We turn around to see a massive men closing the doors

Oscar: "Oh no..."

???: "The White Fang is prepping demolition and securing the school grounds. No one's getting in... and no one's getting out" he starts walking towards us

Weiss: "This was all just a trap?"

Ren: "It appears so"

Sam: "And we walked right into it" Qrow glares at Raven

Qrow: "Raven, tell me... how long have you been with them?" Cinders mocks him

Cinder: "Aww, don't take it personally, little bird. Your sister was a recent addition. The lion on the other hand... Entrance into the Vytal Festival was a real treat, Leonardo's been sending Salem all sorts of information for a very, very long time. Isn't that right, professor?" she mocks Qrow

Lionheart: "Stop it..." he looks away

Qrow: "It was you... You sit on the Mistral Council. You had information on every Huntsman and Huntress in the Kingdom. And you gave it all to her?"

Lionheart: "I-"

Qrow: "I couldn't find any of them, because you let her kill them!" I got livid

(Y/N): "You fucking cowardly, traitorous son of a bitch! Just wait when I get my hands on you, I'm gonna to rip every, single, limb out of your pathetic body only to later hang you on your tail and BURN YOU ALIVE!"

Cinder: " Aw now, don't beat yourself up about it, Lionheart, I'm sure Tyrian and Hazel would've found them on their own eventually"

Jaune: "What is wrong with you...? How can you be so broken inside... to take so many lives, and then come here and rub it in our faces like it's something to be proud of?!" his rage grows

Nora: "Jaune..."

Jaune: "All with that damn smile on your face!" he had tears on his face as we all draw our weapons

Qrow: "Everybody, stay calm!"

Jaune: "I'm gonna make you pay for what you did! Do you hear me?!" Cinder just stares at him

Qrow: "Kid!"

Jaune: "Well?! SAY SOMETHING!" Cinder stays silent for a while before responding

Cinder: "Who are you again?"

That is the last straw for Jaune as he switches his sword into its two-hander form and charges at Cinder. Cinder smirks as she conjures up one of her blades in her right hand. Jaune runs at her and makes an upward swing, but she blocks it with her sword, smiling all the same

Ruby: "Jaune!"

Aiming her weapon behind her, she fires it off to propel her forward into the air. She her weapon extends into its scythe form, she gets ready to support him, only for Emerald to wrap one of her chains around Ruby's waist, pulling her back down to the ground

Emerald: "You're not getting near her"

Cinder pushes Jaune back, but before she can counterattack, Sam joins the fray, twirling his sword around to separate her from Jaune

Jaune: "Stay out of this!"

Sam: "Don't be an idiot, Arc! Remember, she's the Fall Maiden. She's too powerful for you to take on by yourself. We'll face her together"

Cinder: "It won't make a difference. You'll all die all the same"

Ryze: "We will see about that, bitch!"

Meanwhile, I and Yang go to help Ruby, but Mercury block our path as he lands in front of us

Mercury: "Hey there you two. I'm thinking you both owe me for my legs"

(Y/N): "Step aside or I will gladly do it again" however this crocodile Faunus tries to strike me, as I turn around to block her weapons, two saber like swords "And who are you?!"

???: "You know well who I'm, Grimm Reaper!"

(Y/N): "Em, who?"

???: "Don't play being stupid! You use scythe, you have silver eyes and you have her emblem! I will avenge my great aunt!"

(Y/N): "Listen, I don't know from what asylum you run off, but I really don't know what the fuck are you talking about!"

???: "Name is Tick. And these are the last sixty seconds of your life" She kicks me back and rush me again, only for my to block the blades again

I land a slash on her side, but deal no damage

(Y/N): "What?!"

Tick: "Hehe. I said something didn't I?" she went to slash me, but I do some flips, evading her blade

(Y/N): "You're a fucking nuisance, you know?"

Tick: "I may be" she fires a shot from her swords, but I deflect it

She rushes forward and clashes blades with me again. I attack back, but her Aura knocks my scythe out of my hands. Tick kicked me back and went for another slash, only for me to punch her into the face, stunning her for a while, allowing me to retrieve my weapon and try to go help Jaune and Sam with Cinder. Before I could Tick lunges at me again, until Weiss' screams fill the room

(Y/N): "Weiss Cream!"

I set Mortem on fire and threw Tick to the wall. After that I look behind to see Jaune lunging at Cinder, who's blade is now on fire too

Ruby: "NNNNOOOOOOO!" White light envelopes the room

(Y/N): "PETALS!" however before doing any damage Emerald knocks her out.

The very second she does I kick her into the statue. I don't give her a second as I feel my eyes start to glow with orange fire. She fires a few shots at me, but I spin my scythe deflecting them. She then creates an illusion of Ruby in front of me, only angering me as I lower my head

(Y/N): "You think you can trick me with an illusion of Ruby? You think that I'm some idiot?! You hurt MY ROSE and now" I look up to her, with fire around my eyes "I will make sure you will be crippled for life!"

I roar as I smash my right fist into the ground, sending a fire wave at the illusion. It vanishes and my fire continues moving, until it hits Emerald, making her reappear. I then charge at her and shoulder tackle her into the wall behind, followed by a right hook to the face, sending her to the ground. She looks with fear at me as I point my scythe at her neck

(Y/N): "And now the fun part, heh. Never in my life I thought that killing someone can be so much fun. Send my regards to Roman" Just as I was about to deliver a blow, I hear Jaune screaming

Jaune: "NO!" I look to him and see Cinder, as she walks towards Weiss with a spear in her hand. I rushed there, but before I could, Cinder threw her spear. I stop as I see... Sam got before Weiss and took the hit

Our pack looks on in shock and horror at the scene. Sam gasps as he looks at the spear before it disintegrates.

(Y/N): "SAM!" I growl "MAKO! GO TREAT SAM!" he wastes no time and rushes to where Weiss, in tears, tries to wake Sam up. I get to Ruby, with Oscar and Nora behind

(Y/N): "Petals! Get up!"

Oscar: "You need to get up!" Ruby begins to stir awake

Oscar: "Ruby, you're-"

???: "OZPIN!"

(Y/N): "Who the hell is that? Oscar?"

Oscar: "Hazel Rainart. Apparently, him and Ozpin had some history" Hazel approaches us

Hazel: "You thought you could hide from ME?!" he begins ripping apart his jacket, shocking everyone. He then grabs four lightning Dust crystals from side pouches on his waist. "You'll pay for what you did! You'll die! Over and OVER AGAIN!" he then stabs Dust crystals into his arms. The Dust charges lightning through his body as his eyes start to glow yellow, and he roars a monstrous roar towards them, his voice becoming more menacing

(Y/N): "What the fuck is with him?!"

Oscar: "Do we fight?"

Hazel jumps at him, but Ryze gets in the way, clashing his blades against Hazel's hands

Ryze: "Whoa. This guy is a tough one!" he grits his teeth. Hazel picks him up before throwing him into a nearby pillar. I and Qrow went to his help, but Tick came back and threw me and herself into the wall

Tick: "You thought I will give up so easily?! Think again!" She kicks me back, near the Cinder, Raven and that third women

Cinder: "Ozpin is HERE?!"

(Y/N): "He is! It doesn't matter. When I'm done with metal teeth, you are next, Fake Maiden!"

Cinder: "You can call me fake all you want. YOU are MY Guardian. Your place is with me"

(Y/N): "You must be fucking nuts. You're not a Maiden. All you are is a hack! When I kill you, I will gladly protect next Fall Maiden, but not you!"

Cinder: "*sigh* Rebellious one..." she smirks "I like it"

(Y/N): "Aren't you like, twenty years older than me?" she growls as I dodge a fireball "Wow. Calm down grandma" Cinder growls again as I block a slash from Tick and kick her away. Cinder calms down

Cinder: "Leo, open the pathway to the vault!" Lionheart do as he was asked

(Y/N): "And after I kill you, I will get that traitor out next!"

Lionheart gets up and pulls out his pocket watch, placing it in a part of the golden chain around the statue's waist. Gears are heard turning before the statue lowers with the terrace above it, becoming more like an elevator.

Cinder: "Make sure they leave Ruby and (Y/N) alive. This won't take long" she board elevator with that woman and Raven

Nora: "Stop them! We've got them covered" she shouts towards Yang as I continue to keep Tick on check. Upon kicking her to the wall again I made my way to Jaune, Mako, Ren and Weiss

Ryze: "Goldie! Go after your mother!" but Yang's path gets blocked by Mercury and Emerald

I finally get to them

(Y/N): "Mako! What's with him?!"

Mako: "Bad, really bad"

Ren: "He has a punctured lung. It's getting harder for him to breath"

Jaune: "No, come on Sam. Not again. Please, be okay"

(Y/N): "I won't let you die, brother!"

Weiss: "Sam, please, to have to be okay! Please, just listen to our voices" she weeps

Sam: "W-We...iss"

Weiss: "Sam, please, stay with me" we then hear Hazel shouts

Hazel: "OOZZPPPIIIINNNN!" we try to help Sam, but nothing is working

Mako: "His pulse is getting weaker. I... I think he won't make it..." he hangs his head down

Jaune: "No, no please. Sam, don't die on us!"

(Y/N): "Don't you dare, Kiryuin! I will kill you if you die!"

Sam: "S-Snowflake..." he looks at Weiss

Weiss: "Sam..." tears started to fall from her eyes

Sam: "I'm... sorry..."

Weiss: "F-for what?"

Sam: "I've... never took you... on a date..." he tries to smile but only coughs some blood "Chief... I'm sorry... I..."

(Y/N): "Don't say anything. Keep your energy. You're not dying!"

Sam: "I'm... sorry" he closes his eyes as Weiss' widen

Weiss: "Sam? No, no, no, no, Sam!"

(Y/N): "Fucking bullshit!"

Mako: "I will fucking break Cinder's neck! Agh!"

(Y/N): "Mako, go help Yang! I will try to do something!" he nods and stands up as Weiss starts bawling her eyes out, holding Sam's head

Weiss: "Sam, listen to me. I need you. I want to be with you. I want to get to know you more. I want to spend more time with you. I want... I want to go out on that date with you. I want to hold your hand. I want to... to kiss you again. Please Sam, don't leave me, Sam... I love you!" I look at Lionheart

(Y/N): "This is all that fucker's fault! Ren! Jaune! Try anything you have to do to save him! I will deal with our traitor!"

I make my way towards Lionheart, who aims his weapon at Oscar. Before he could shoot I grab his forearm

(Y/N): "I told you I would get my hands on you!" I kicked him back, only later to shoot a fireball at him, sending him into a wall "I told you!" I slash at him as he blocks it with his shield "When I get to you, I will rip your limbs out!" I punch him in the gut as he recoils "One by one!" I finish him by a left straight, rendering him unconscious "And stay there! I will get back to you soon"

Then Tick again get on my hair as we lock our blades

Tick: "Can you stop kicking me around?!"

(Y/N): "Then stop fucking with me! Be a good girl and get back to Salem!"

Tick: "Until you're dead I can't do that!" she snaps

(Y/N): "Sorry, I don't feel like dying today" I smirk as she roars angry and starts slashing blindly at me. Well, bad move. Her attack become easier to dodge or parry, as she leaves a lot of openings for me

Tick: "I will avenge my aunt! You and your predecessors will pay!"

(Y/N): " I don't know what're you talking about"

Tick: "Stop playing dumb!" I move aside to dodge her slash and deliver a punch "My grandmother told me what happened to her sister!" she tries another slash "She met Grimm Reaper!" she went for another slash but I parry it the very last second "And got killed by her!"

(Y/N): "Geez. Maybe your great aunt was evil?"

Tick: "Even if she was..." we lock blades again "She doesn't deserved to die like that!" I kick her again as her Aura shatters and I get my scythe on her neck

(Y/N): "Give up. My next strike will be lethal!"

Tick: "Never!"

(Y/N): "Your choice" Instead of killing her I deliver a flaming punch to her face, as she lands in the wall, unconscious. I later tie her up with some rope lying around "Mistral's police will take care of you"

I look back to see Ruby is awake, Ryze, and Oscar are taking care of Hazel and Mako is helping Yang with Mercury and Emerald. I made my way back to where Sam lies only to see him enveloped in while glow same as Jaune's hands

(Y/N): "What's the status?!"

Ren: "He is getting better"

(Y/N): "Thank Oum. Petals, how are you?"

Ruby: "I'm good. Who was that girl you fought?

(Y/N): "Later, okay? Weiss?"

Weiss: "I'm... fine, just worried" Ruby checks Sam to see that whatever Jaune is doing is healing his injury

Ruby: "Whatever you're doing, don't stop"

Jaune: "I won't"

(Y/N): "Oscar, Qrow and Ryze need help with Hazel" Ren stands with his pistols

Ren: "I'm on it"

Ruby: "Sam and Jaune still need cover" Weiss and Nora stand with their weapons

Weiss: "We won't let anyone touch them"

Ruby: "(Y/N), you're with me. We need to help Yang and Mako" I nod "Then let's do it" she picks up her weapon and stands up.

Ruby fires her scythe behind her, sending her into the air as she spins herself and her scythe around, swinging it at Emerald, while I swing mine at Mercury, making him back off from Mako

Yang: "Thank, Sis" she gets back up "You too (Y/N)"

Mako: "Yeah, thanks and all"

Yang: "You okay?"

Ruby: "No... I'm angry"

(Y/N): "Same. Mako, go help Ryze, Oscar and Qrow"

Mako: "I'm on it"

Ruby: "Yang! Go help them too!" Yang nods

Emerald and Mercury tried to stop them, only for me and Ruby to stand in their way

Ruby: "Your fight is with us"

We fire our weapons behind us, propelling ourselves towards Emerald and Mercury. I go after illusions master while Ruby attacks metal legs.

Ruby swings her scythe at Mercury, but he jumps back to avoid it and then counters by raising his left leg up and swinging it down, knocking Ruby's weapon out of her hands

Mercury: "Uh oh, what are you going to do now?" He goes to punch her, but Ruby ducks and then reels her up into his face, making him stagger back. Ruby then picks her scythe back up

Ruby: "Whatever it takes to shut you up"

(Y/N): "Heh, that's my girl" I smile at the sight my training didn't went to waste. Then I duck under Emerald's attack "It's not nice to attack someone from behind"

Emerald: "Oh, shut up!"

(Y/N): "You know your tricks won't work on me" she shoots at me but again I swing my scythe to block it "I'm nearly as powerful as Cinder, but that bitch will see it's coming. On a shrimp like you, I don't want to waste my energy"

Emerald: "Don't you dare to call her that!"

(Y/N): "Or what? You will cry?" she tries to attack me "Poor thing, mommy Cinder is not here to protect you, sugar. And..." I hit her with a blunt side of Mortem "That means I can get my revenge for Penny" I smirk as Mortem's blade shines with blue fire

We clash our blades, as she tries to cut me. But a duck and a kick to the legs let me ground her.

(Y/N): "Maybe you will know. Who is that girl?" I point to unconscious and tied up Tick

Emerald: "You must be a bigger idiot than Mercury to think I will tell you"

We then hear a thud and Ren's and later Nora's screams

Nora: "Ren!" a while later she flies and tries to hit Hazel with her hammer, only for him to grab her by the head, slam her to the ground and... begin to charge her up

'Idiots didn't do any research'

I didn't notice Emerald trying to slash at me, but in the last second, she gets thrown aside by... some vines. I look to the source to see Sam is up

Sam: "I'm back bitches! And I'm angrier than ever!" I notice a green mist coming from his eyes

Weiss: "Don't overdo it love. You're still recovering"

Sam: "I won't, Snowflake. Let's help our friends" Then Nora charges up and flips Hazel over her shoulder. He rolls back several feet away as I get near Sam "I'm back to the world of living, chief. Good as-" I punch him

(Y/N): "You may be the smartest of all of us but I fucking murder you if you try that again, capiche?" he nods as I get back to fray

Nora: "I just need him to GO DOWN!" we look at her too see her hammering Hazel into a wall, as he leaves a giant hole. I look through it to see a lot of White Fang soldiers... as well as Adam Taurus. Then we hear ships flying by

???: "Adam Taurus, this is the Mistral Police Force! Lower your weapons and surrender peacefully"

Ryze: "Taurus is here?! Oh man! HAHA! Be right back, guys!" and he flew out of the building

Ruby knocks Emerald back a few feet while I punch Mercury and he stumbles back. We see spotlight shines through the ceiling

(Y/N): "Rozzers are here! Haha! You're going down metal legs!"

Then Weiss stands up with Sam. Weiss summons a Lancer while Sam gets his vine going. Weiss' summon shoots its stinger outside, same as Sam shoots his vines after it and soon they drag Hazel back inside. Weiss then gasps and turns to the hole as Sam widens his eyes. We all look there to see Blake walking with Ryze inside

Ryze: "Hey, guys! Look who I found!" Blake look around and her gaze lands on Yang first

Blake: "Yang?"

We all stand there dumbfounded, until Ruby points to the elevator

Ruby: "Yang, go!"

(Y/N): "Sam! You go, too! Your Maiden is down there!" he nods and he run with Yang towards the elevator. Mercury and Emerald tries to stop them

Emerald: "No!"

Mercury grabs Yang's metal arm, only for her to detach it and continue her run. Sam kicks him back and runs after Yang while Mercury and Emerald give chase. They are however stopped by an ice and metal wall appearing before them. They look back too see Weiss standing and Mako kneeling down with his hands on the floor

Mako: "You're not going after them!" Weiss nods in agreement as me and Ruby turns to Blake and Ryze and nod. Blake nods back and run outside to deal with White Fang

(Y/N): "Go with her Matoi" I get near him and put my hand on his shoulder "Make him pay for what he did to Yang" he nods and runs after Blake.

We continue to fight with Hazel, Emerald and Mercury. Mako stands before Ren and Nora, creating a metal barrier and shooting some bullets at them from his pistols. He than pants and lie down

Mako: "Sorry... time's up... I used most of my Aura" Jaune then steps in front of them to block some incoming bullets with his shield

Jaune: "You guys okay?" Ren coughs

Ren: "We're... surviving" Nora sighs

Nora: "I don't know how that big guy is still standing. He recharges his aura faster than I've ever seen"

Mako: "I'm... good. Just give me five minutes to catch my breath"

I jump back before Hazel can smash me into the ground. I fire off a few shots at him, but he blocks it with his arms. I rush him again, dodge one left hook and try to deepen his wound from Lancer's stinger, only for him to swipe me into the pillar next to Oscar. Qrow flies behind said pillar and changes back to a human

Qrow: "He's sheer willpower"

(Y/N): "I noticed" Lionheart fires off another shot at Oscar, but I swipe it with my scythe "Does he ever run out of energy?"

Oscar?: "We just need to get him to his limit. Then, he won't be able to fight"

(Y/N): "Oz? When did you... Never mind. When will that happen?" Hazel fires off a combined attack of fire and lighting at the Lancer, making it disintegrate. Just then Blake comes flying, kicking Hazel in the face and lands next to Ruby and Weiss, surprising Mercury and Emerald. Ryze then flies inside and lands next to me and Mako

Ryze: "That coward just ran away. What's the situation?"

(Y/N): "Yang and Sam are downstairs. I got that crocodile hag tied up and we need to somehow overcharge Hazel" I looked at Lionheart "But first we need to deal with our traitor. Girls should be able to take on Hazel for a while. Mako, you good now?"

Mako: "Yeah. Jaune used his Semblance on me. I'm good as new"

Ryze changes his blades into an assault rifle, Mako gets his pistols as I get Mortem into a shotgun and we all aim at Lionheart. Our shots connect, shattering his Aura as Ryze and I fly up to him.

Ryze: "Ozpin trusted you. We all did, including your own students, and you betrayed us all just so you could keep living. You're a disgrace as a Huntsman, as a teacher and headmaster, and as a person" his voice full of disrespect and venom

Lionheart: "Please, you must understand. I was only trying to-"

(Y/N): "Shut the fuck up. We don't want to hear it. Now" I stab my scythe into his chest, making him gasp in shock "You live like a coward" Ryze stabs one of his scissor blades next to my scythe

Ryze: "You die like one" We rip our blades out of him as he falls to his knees before taking one last breath and getting on the floor, dead. I wipe my scythe's blade on his clothes. We look down to see our friends a little disturbed by this

(Y/N): "He tried to kill us. HE let Salem kill all those Huntsmen and Huntresses. HE saw it coming" I assure them. Mercury spots dead Lionheart as I kick his body down the stairs

Mercury: "Oh, well that's just great" he and Emerald look to Hazel as he roars to the ceiling, ready for the next round. Until Mako shots him in the chest.

Mako: "You guys deal with Cinder's lackeys. We'll deal with tall, big and ugly here" he says to Ruby

Ruby: "Alright then. Blake, Weiss, checkmate" Blake and Weiss charge Emerald and Mercury

(Y/N): "Mako, Ryze, let's get this bread!" We rush Hazel.

Ryze uses his Semblance and starts slashing at Hazel flying back and forth. Hazel nearly hit him but Mako got some metal pipes to get them around his arms and block the hit. This allowed me to jump over Mako and deliver a flaming punch to the face, staggering Hazel a bit. Ryze throws a flying uppercut to his stomach sending him up into the air. I then use my fire to get near him and then swing my scythe on him downwards sending Hazel into the ground. Mako gets his legs enveloped in metal now as Ryze get him high in the air and throws him down on our opponent, crashing down on Hazel and cracking the ground before jumping off of him. Then Emerald lands near Hazel. I look to where she came from only to see Ruby with her scythe. Later Mercury joins them and Tick somehow united herself as the four of them regroup, getting ready to fight us again, while we do the same

Ruby: "That's enough. You're beaten. Just give it up"

Ryze: "It's over. The White Fang is down, Lionheart is dead, and you're all running on empty. You've lost" Mercury growls and slams his fist on the ground while I suddenly collapse to the knees as I again feel pain in my chest

Ruby: "Cookie! What's wrong?!" she kneels next to me

(Y/N): "Remember what I said I have no connection to Cinder?" she nods "Seems it was the other way"

Emerald: "What are you talking about?!"

(Y/N): "I'm talking about" I stand up "That your mommy Cinder is now either dead or injured"

Emerald: "No! You're lying! It's not over. Cinder will come back. She'll have the Relic, and she'll stop all of you... She has to... She won't let us down"

Just then, the elevator for the vault comes back up, only Cinder isn't on it. Instead, it's Yang and Sam that come up, with Yang holding the Relic. Emerald is shocked to see that Cinder did not come back. Yang and Sam look to us

Ruby: "Yang... Sam..."

(Y/N): "They did it..."

Yang glances at Blake, who smiles back at her. Emerald starts to cry and falls onto her hands and knees, waves of emotions falling over her. Seeing that have indeed lost this battle, Mercury, Tick and Hazel start to back up

Mercury: "Emerald, get up. We need to go. Emerald!"

Emerald holds her head, breathing rapidly, before she screams as she activates her semblance on nearly everyone in the room. Just then, a large black mass starts rising up from the floor. The figure then takes the form of a large pale woman with white hair and weird hairstyle, black dress and black eyes with red irises, who suddenly screams before flying at us before everything goes black. A second later, the illusion is gone as we look on, finding ourselves alright. Scared and shaking in fear, but alright. We look to where the bad guys were, only to see nothing

Blake: "Wh-what, what was that?"

Sam: "It was scary as hell"

Ozpin: "That was an illusion, albeit an accurate one" we look to Ozpin "That... was Salem"

After a few moments pass, everyone breathes a sigh of relief. The battle is over. Haven is safe. The good guys win. Yay. Blake sees her parents, Sun and some red haired fox Faunus run into the building. She hug her parents as Sun and that Faunus step aside

Blake's Mom: "The police have rounded up the remaining White Fang members. Haven is safe"

Blake's Dad: "Unfortunately, it appears that Adam Taurus has escaped" Mako and us make their way to said fox Faunus

Mako: "Thanks for looking after her, Dereck. I was worried"

Fox Faunus: "No problem Mako, I owed you one"

(Y/N): "So, this is your friend, Mako?"

Mako: "Yup. Dereck, this is (Y/N) (L/N), my friend and leader of Team CRMS" He points at me as I wave

(Y/N): "Hey"

Mako: "Those twins right here are Samuel Kiryuin and Ryze Matoi"

Ryze: "Sup"

Sam: "Nice to meet you"

Dereck: "Dereck Ruppell. Friends of Mako are also my friends" then Blake went with her parents to us

Blake's Mom: "So, this is the boy my daughter spoke about. Michael, right?"

Mako: "That's right. Michael Mankanshoku at your service" Blake's mom giggles

Blake's Mom: "Well, I like him" Blake blushes

Blake: "MOM!" she then hugs Mako "Thanks for worrying about me. After all I've done"

Mako: "Hey, we're friends, Kitty. I don't care about your past, everybody makes mistakes" He looks past her to see me, Sam and Ryze tease him, Ryze is doing heart with his hands, Sam wiggles his eyebrows and I make smooching noises as he blush and break the hug with Blake. A girl with freckles and brown hair tied in a ponytail enters the room

???: "Adam is the only one to escape tonight. The White Fang won't follow a leader who abandons his people. He won't have their help after this, or anyone at all. And because of that, the White Fang will be left divided and leaderless"

Ryze: "And you are?"

???: "I'm Ilia, a friend of Blake"

Dereck: "'Friend' is a big word for someone who tried to kill us three" she punches his shoulder

Blake's Dad: "We've been fighting among ourselves for too long. Maybe... It's time for a new brotherhood. One truly dedicated towards creating a better world"

Blake's Mom: "And they'll need a new leader" she gestures to her husband

(Y/N): "Well, we have to reunite one kitty with her team now, right Sun?" he nods, grabs Blake with his tail, pulling her around to see her teammates. Blake takes a moment before walking towards them while they watch. We walk behind her. Ruby suddenly collapses and I run past Blake to aid her

(Y/N): "Petals" Me and Weiss catch her before she can hit the floor

Weiss: "Are you okay?!" Ruby sighs, but smiles

Ruby: "I feel like I should be asking you guys" Blake and my team joins us. Yang comes down and sits next to Ruby "So Blake, what're you doing here?"

Ryze: "Yeah, we heard from Dereck that you went to Menagerie in order to visit your parents"

Blake: "Well... Dereck told me about you, Sam, (Y/N) and Mako being here. I... I didn't expect to see you girls here too" she addresses the remaining members of Team RWBY "But it's still... a nice surprise. I feel like I should ask what happened"

Ruby: "That's... a long story"

Blake: "Well... I'm not going anywhere"

Ruby: "That's all that matters. That we're all here together. Right?" she looks to Weiss and later to Yang. As us four expect the worst, Yang slowly nods her head and smiles

Yang: "Yeah" we move aside and let girls have their moment as they hug together. My team and team JNR watch with smiles on our faces, that our friends have been reunited

(Y/N): "Our unknown variable has come home"

Ryze: "Sam, you look like crap"

Sam: "Well... we fought Cinder for a while and Raven is Spring Maiden, not Vernal" we then hear Yang shouting

Yang: "Ryze Matoi!" he gulps as Yang storms her way to us and punches him "Why the heck did you go after Adam?!"

Ryze: "This motherfucker will pay for-" She punches him again

Yang: "He could've cut your arm too! Or even kill you!"

Ryze: "I-" This time Yang cut him off by a passionate kiss. They later broke it

Yang: "You owe me a date for making me worry" Sam walks next to Weiss

Sam: "Well, anything you want to say to me, Snowflake?" Weiss blushes but Sam quickly kiss her "I heard everything, I love you too"

Weiss: "I-"

Sam: "So, about that date? Are you still willing to go with me?" Weiss composure herself back to normal and smiles at him

Weiss: "I would love too" I and Ruby meanwhile observe them

(Y/N): "I told you, everything is gonna be alright and it is" Ruby giggles

Ruby: "Yeah. And I never doubted you, Cookie"

(Y/N): "So, we have a relic, what now?" Suddenly Oscar collapsed as we made our way to Qrow "Kid! Qrow, what happened to him?"

Qrow: "He passed out from exhaustion. We have to bring the lamp to Atlas" I smile at hearing this

(Y/N): "Seems like a little homecoming for me, after eight years"

Ruby: "Oh! Can we visit Elly when we get there?! Cookie, please!"

(Y/N): "Sure. You like my mom that much?" She nods a few times

Qrow: "You will visit her after we deliver this thing to James. Matchstick, grab Oscar and let's head back home. We need to discuss what to do for now with everyone" I nod, get Oscar on my shoulder. After gathering everyone we head back towards the house

A/N: And here it is. Vol 5 is finished and I did it again. I decided to write the Battle of Haven . After one extra chapter I will start Volume 6 and you know what that means. Grandma will arrive into the story! (Y/N) also got a nemesis now, Tick. Wonder if we will see them clash in the future? Will see. Until then, feel free to vote, share and comment.
