A/N: Well, I'm bored, and given that the chapters here usually takes me about 4-5 hours to write and well, here it is

*(Y/N) POV*

Well, a week has passed since I and Ruby stopped that robbery and now it was time to finally start a new adventure in Beacon

'Dad, you will be so proud, you will see' with those words in my mind I entered the bullhead and sat down. I was minding my own business, playing some games on my scroll and listening to some new songs of my favorite band. That's until a guy with black hair and some kind of red streak in his hair almost tripped over my legs

???: "What the fuck?! Watch where you put your stupid legs!" I didn't heard him, I only saw him shouting at me so I took one earbud out

(Y/N): "Yes, how can I help you?"

???: "I said, watch where you put your stupid legs!"

(Y/N): "Maybe you should watch where you are walking?"

???: "You got a problem man?!"

(Y/N): "I don't know, you got a problem?" I stood up and we get into each other faces

??? "Trying to play big huh?"

(Y/N): "Don't worry, I have something to back up my words" he smiled

???: "And here I thought I will get bored in Beacon. Ryze Matoi" He offered me a hand an I shake it

A/N: No one expected the power of rule 63!

(Y/N) "(Y/N) (L/N). So, Ryze, you are from?"

Ryze: "I live in Vacuo with my father. What about you?"

(Y/N): "Atlas. I live in there with my mom"

Ryze: "How is it there?"

(Y/N): "Cold. And I hate people living there"

Ryze: "Yeah, fucking jackasses and assholes. No offence"

(Y/N): "Non taken. If I could ask, what's your weapon?" he smirked

Ryze: "Those babies!" He opened a guitar case to reveal a pair of blades looking like scissors

(Y/N): "Neat. Gun mode?"

Ryze: "Of course, those two can turn into a single assault rifle" He spun them around and soon an assault rifle sat in his hands "Pretty cool, right?"

(Y/N): "I can't say no"

Ryze: "What about yours?"

(Y/N): "Eh, a scythe that can turn into a saw-off shotgun. One shot from close range and your aura drops by 50%" I got Mortem out and turn it into a shotgun mode and later into a scythe mode. After that I compressed it back and put it on it's place "So, why Beacon?"

Ryze: "Have you ever been in Vacuo?" I shake my head "This place is full of thieves, murderers and other shady looking guys. You can get stabbed even when you go to the shop to buy groceries"

(Y/N): "Why not move from there if it's that bad?"

Ryze: "Because of my stupid parents that's why. They're divorced, while I have to stay with my dad, my twin brother stayed with our mom. My father wanted to never see her again after what she did to him so he moved with me to Vacuo while her and my brother stayed in Vale" I put my hand on his shoulder

(Y/N): "And you chose Beacon in order to find your twin? It's a noble goal indeed"

Ryze: "Yeah. I hope he also got to attend Beacon. Both of us wanted to become Huntsmen for years. We always saw them in T.V and after that we used sticks to act like ones" we stayed in silence for a while "So, why not Atlas Academy?"

(Y/N): "I didn't wanted to. You see, my father studied in Beacon, this Academy molded him into the Huntsman me and my mom remembered"

Ryze: "Wait, so your dad...?"

(Y/N): "Yeah, he died on a mission when I was six. From that day I swore to make him proud, whenever he is watching or not, and continue his legacy"

Ryze: "That's a good goal too. Sorry for your loss"

(Y/N): "Thanks. Sorry for your bro too, what's his name?"

Ryze: "Samuel" we decided to stand up and look out of the window

(Y/N): "Nice to see Vale from high above"

Ryze: "Yeah, nothing changed since the last time I was here" Then there is a new feed about that ginger guy me and Ruby tried to stop week ago, Roman Torchwick. Later it show the broadcast about how Faunus civil Right Protest was crashed by White Fang. It was yet interrupted by hologram of Professor Goodwitch

Glynda: "Hello and welcome to Beacon!"

Ryze: "Who the hell is that?"

Glynda: "My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsman and Huntresses, it's your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and training to protect the world" and with that her hologram disappeared

Ryze: "That was some welcoming"

(Y/N): "She is right, you know. As a Huntsman it's our duty to protect others as well as to maintain peace"

Ryze: "I know man, you don't need to..." he trailed off when he saw  a blonde guy running around the bullhead holding his hand to his mouth "(Y/N)! Vomit Boy behind you!" I quickly get out of this blondie way, so he won't vomit on me

(Y/N): "Thanks man. My clothes owe their life to you" Then Ryze elbowed me "What?"

Ryze: "(Y/N), three o'clock. Two cuties are checking us out" I looked there to see a girl with long blonde golden hair and lilac eyes. Next to her stood... Ruby

'So that must be her sister'

Ruby's sister then whispered something to Ruby, making her blush. Then she started to drag her towards us, while Ruby tried to stop her

Ryze: "That Goldilocks is a bombshell man, you saw her..." I cut him off

(Y/N): "Assets, yeah"

Ruby's sister: "Hello!" she sung "I think you two know each other" she pointed to me and Ruby

(Y/N): "Hey Rubes, it's nice to see you made it"

Ruby: "H-hi (Y/N). It's nice to see you too"

Ruby's sister: "Oh it's so cute! He already gave you a nickname!"

Ruby: "Yang!" she shouted with a blush

Yang: "What? Can't I be happy that my sister had her first..." Ruby put her hand on Yang's mouth, still blushing

Ruby: "Friend! First friend in Beacon! That's right!"

(Y/N): "Okayyyy... Anyway, my name is (Y/N) (L/N)"

Yang: "Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's older sister"

(Y/N): "Nice to meet you, but you two looks nothing alike"

Yang: "We are half sisters actually. Same dad, different moms" She looked at Ryze "And who is this handsome guy over here?" she flirted with Ryze

Ryze: "Name's Ryze Matoi, but you can call me anything, hot stuff"

Yang: "Sure thing handsome" and they exchanged their scroll numbers

'I can't believe this actually worked'

Yang: "Call me sometimes" she winked at him "See you later you two"

(Y/N): "Sure. It was nice meeting you Yang. See you later Ruby" they walked away.

Ryze: "We are not even in Beacon and I already got girl's scroll number. This day cannot be more fucking perfect!"

(Y/N): "Yeah, good for you"

Ryze: "What about you?"

(Y/N): "What about me?"

Ryze: "I saw how you were looking at Yang's sister, same as she was looking at you" I blushed

(Y/N): "Don't be ridiculous Ryze. I met Ruby week ago. It's nothing"

Ryze: "Boy oh boy. Look man, she have a crush on you. Better make a move before someone get her away from you"

(Y/N): "You think so?"

Ryze: "Yes"

(Y/N): "Well, Ruby is cute, I can't say she is not. But I think I need to know her better before eventually starting dating her"

Ryze: "Do your thing bud" then the bullhead landed "We are here"

We exited the bullhead and I looked at the blond guy from before as he was struggling to keep his breakfast inside "I think we have our first person in need, come on Ryze" we walked to him

Ryze: "Motion sickness, am I right? I once had it" he patted his back

(Y/N): "Here, eat this and drink some water" I handed the blonde guy a bottle of water and a motion sickness pill. He took it and quickly drunk the whole bottle

???: "Thanks you two... Name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls of the tongue, ladies love it" Me and Ryze rolled our eyes

Ryze: "They sure do" he said with sarcasm "Ryze Matoi"

(Y/N): "(Y/N) (L/N). Nice to meet you Jaune. You wanna tag along with us?" 

Jaune: "Sure"

We continued to walk on our own. Meanwhile we were also searching for any sign of Ryze's brother. But to no effort

(Y/N): "Sorry Ryze, seems like your brother left his dreams of becoming a Hunt*BOOM*" We looked back to see a trail of smoke coming from near the landing pad. We rushed there to see Ruby lying on the ground, with depressed face as an explosion mark was next to her. I walked to her and offered her my hand

(Y/N): "Hey Ruby, not a good first day?" she took my hand and I get her up

Ruby: "Well first of all Yang left me and then I bumped into this really mean girl who just kept shouting at me and then I exploded and then this black haired girl helped me out and made the mean girl go away but when I tried to talk to her she walked away and now I'm all alone!" I chuckled

(Y/N): "Fear nothing, my rose. Me and my sidekick are here to save you from your loneliness" Ruby giggled

Ryze: "Who are you calling a sidekick you motherfucker?!" Ruby slapped his head like mine before "Oww, what the hell?!"

Ruby: "Language, Ryze"

(Y/N): "Anyway, we brought a friend. Jaune, this is Ruby. Ruby, this is Jaune"

Jaune: "Well, the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it?

Ruby: "Do they?"

Ryze: "We told him this before"

Jaune: "They will! Well, I hope they will... I mean, my mom always says that... Never mind"

Us four started to walk around Beacon

Jaune: "All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!"

Ryze: "Sorry man. I had to warn (Y/N) and Vomit Boy was the first thing I got on my mind" Then an awkward silence occurred until Ruby got her scythe out 

Ruby: "So I got this thing" as she stabbed her weapon on the pavement, scarring Jaune

Jaune: "Whoa! Is that a scythe?"

Ruby: "It's also a customizable, high impact velocity sniper rifle"

Jaune: "A wha...?"

(Y/N): "Basically a gun Jaune"

Jaune: "Oh. That's cool! What about you (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "Well..." I took out Mortem and changed it into it's scythe mode. I hold it on my shoulder while Ruby again had stars in her eyes

Jaune: "A second scythe?!"

(Y/N): "And also a close combat high dispersion saw-off shotgun"

Jaune: "Again, what?"

Ruby: "It's also a gun Jaune! (Y/N)! You promised me you'll tell me about it!" she said super fast

(Y/N): "Easy there Rosie. Well, it's name is Mortem. It was a gift from my grandmother on my twelfth birthday. It can use both crystal dust as well as powder as it's ammunition"

Ruby: "It's so cool! Can I hold it (Y/N)? Can I? Can I?!" 

(Y/N): "Sure, only if you let me hold yours" She give me her scythe while I handed her Mortem. We both started to inspect each other weapons "You made it yourself Ruby?"

Ruby: "Yes. Crescent Rose is my pride and joy" she stated proudly "Did you thought about getting a bigger magazine for Mortem's shotgun mode, maybe a drum with dust crystals?"

(Y/N): "Yeah, I wanted to but I couldn't find any shop where they would sell it" Her eyes sparkled again

Ruby: "I will show you one later. I know the owner so I can get you a discount!"

I hear Ryze snickering. I turned around to see him doing a heart with his hands. I blushed

Jaune: "You two really likes weapons I see"

(Y/N): "Well, weapons are like extensions of our limbs. If you can master your weapon it can become a part of you. What's not to like in them?" Ruby blushed and nodded

Ruby: "Yeah... what (Y/N) said..." she trailed off like she was dreaming

(Y/N): "Em, Ruby?" I snapped my fingers in front of her

Ruby: "Yes... (Y/N)...? Oh! Sorry! Anyway, Ryze what do you have?"

Ryze: "Well, my weapons are called Scissor Blades, two one sided swords that can turn into an assault rifle" he demonstrated his blades as well as it's assault rifle mode

Ruby: "Awesome!"

(Y/N): "I said that too. Ideal weapon for a hothead like Ryze"

Ryze: "Oi! You got a problem?!"

(Y/N): "Man, it's true and you know it. We nearly started a fight the very first time we met each other five hours ago"

Ryze: "Quiet you with little faith. I just wanted to see if you have balls to stood up to me, and you passed"

(Y/N): "Yeah, right. Jaune, what's your weapons?"

Jaune: "Oh... uh, I got this sword" he takes his sword out

Ruby: "Ooooooh!"

(Y/N): "Nice, does it change into a SMG? Or maybe it's infused with fire dust powder so you can set in on fire anytime?"

Ruby: "That would be cool!"

Jaune: "Yeah, I've got a shield too!" he raised his arm as his shield pops out and he started juggling with it while Ryze tried to stiffen a laugh

Ruby: "So, what do they do?"

Jaune: "The shield gets smaller, so when I get tired of carrying it, I can just... put it away..."

(Y/N) and Ruby: "But wouldn't it weight the same?"

Jaune: "Yeah, it does..."

Ruby: "Well, I'm kinda of a dork when it comes to weapons. I guess I did go a little overboard designing it"

(Y/N): "Well, the same could be said about Mortem. It was just a basic scythe when it was gifted to me, but I started modifying it until I was happy with what I got now"

Jaune: "You two made that?!"

Ruby: "Of course! All students at Signal forge their own weapons! Didn't you make yours?"

(Y/N): "In Sanctum other kids designed their weapons too. I only modified Mortem to my personal needs"

Ryze: "In Oscuro we also forged our own weapons"

Jaune: "No, I didn't make them. It's a hand me down. My great great grandfather used it to fight in the war"

Ruby: "Sounds more like a family heirloom to me! Well I like it! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days"

(Y/N): "I mean, if it's good don't change it"

Ruby: "Exactly"

Jaune: "Yeah. The classics"

(Y/N): "Don't worry. If you want to make any changes to it, you are always welcome to come to me or Ruby here"

Ruby: "Yhm" She nodded and looked around "Hey, where are we going?"

Jaune: "Oh, I dunno, I was following you three. You think there might be a directory? Maybe a food court? Some kind of recognizable landmark?" Ruby giggled an tried to stiffen a laughter "Is uh... Is that a no?"

Ruby: "That's a no"

(Y/N): "And we are lost..."

We finally found a way to auditorium. As we walked in Yang immediately spotted Ruby and called out to her

Yang: "Ruby! Over here! I saved you a spot!"

Ruby: "Oh! Hey, I gotta go! I'll see you all after the ceremony!" and she went to Yang

Jaune: "Hey, wait! Great! Where am I supposed to find another nice, quirky girl to talk to?!"

(Y/N): "You still have us Jaune"

Jaune: "Thanks guys"

Yang: "Ryze! (Y/N)! Come here too!"

Ryze: "We will be there cutie!" He winked at her "Sorry Jaune, our ladies are calling us"

Jaune: "Oh, and where I'm suppose to find another cool dudes to talk?" He moved away, as I can feel a familiar feeling. Feeling of competition nearby. We stopped next to the girls

Yang: "How is your first day going, little sister?"

Ruby: "You mean since you ditched me and I exploded?"

Yang: "Yikes! Meltdown already?"

Ryze: "She really exploded Yang. She even left a hole in front of the school"

Ruby: "Yeah! There was some fire, and I think some ice..."

Yang: "Are you being sarcastic?"

(Y/N): "Nope. There was literally a fire, and to be fair it was not from me"

Yang: "From you?"

(Y/N): "My semblance allows me to convert my body heat into fire. I can also control it"

Yang: "Cool, so, what happened Ruby?"

Ruby: "I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage! And then she yelled at me! And then I sneezed! And then I exploded! And then she yelled again! And I felt really, really bad! And I just wanted her to stop yelling at me!" I looked over her to see a familiar looking person

???: "YOU!" she shouted as Ruby jumps into my arms. Ryze gave me a thumbs up

'I will skin him alive in his sleep'

Ruby: "Oh, God, it's happening again!"

???: "You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!"

Yang: "Oh my god, you really exploded"

(Y/N): "Easy there girls. Weiss, Ruby didn't wanted to. It probably was an accident. Oh, and Ruby, can you get off me?"

Ruby: "Oh, sorry!" she blushed lightly "And it was! (Y/N) told you"

Weiss: "(Y/N)?" she looked at me and gasped

(Y/N): "Took you long enough, Weiss Cream. It's good to see you again" she hugged me

Weiss: "Where have you been?! I haven't saw you since your tenth birthday!" I returned the hug

(Y/N): "I was training with my grandma. And given she lives in Mistral I had to move to her for seven years" We broke the hug

Weiss: "I see"

(Y/N): "How are things in Atlas? Is your father still the same asshole he was?" she lightly slapped my chest

Weiss: "Don't say that, he is still my father after all"

(Y/N): "Yeah, especially after that stunt he pulled on your tenth birthday. Good thing my mom didn't allowed this"

Yang: "Um, (Y/N), you know each other?"

(Y/N): "Oh, sorry. Yes, everyone, this is Weiss Schnee, the heiress to Schnee Dust Company and my best friend since we were little"

Weiss: "It's nice to meet you" she then looked at Ruby "except for you"

(Y/N): "Oh come on Ice Queen. You and Ruby just started your friendship in a bad way. And from what Rubes told me, she sneezed, so maybe Whitley played his prank on you again and loosen one of your dust vial"

Yang: "(Y/N) is right. So, why don't you two start over and try to be friends, okay?"

Ruby: "Yeah! Great idea, sis! Hello, Weiss! I'm Ruby! Want to hang out? We can go shopping for school supplies!"

Weiss: "Yeah! And we can paint our nails and try on clothes and talk about cute boys, like tall blond and scraggly over there or him!" She pointed at Jaune and later at some random dude with black hair and face similar to Ryze's

Ryze: "He is here..." he whispered

(Y/N): "Yeah. He looks just like you, just without that red highlight" I told him back

Ruby: "Oh wow, really?"

Weiss: "No. (Y/N), you coming?"

(Y/N): "Sorry Weiss Cream, I came here with Ruby, Yang and Ryze. We can catch up later"

Weiss: "Whatever" then Ozpin started his speech

Ozpin: "Ahem... I'll keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge-to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose; direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you...to take the first step"

Ozpin walked off the stage and Glynda took his place

Glynda: "You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed."

Yang: "He seemed kind of off"

Ruby: "It's almost like he wasn't even there" then Jaune walked over to Weiss

Jaune: "I'm natural blond, you know!" Weiss pinched the bridge of her nose

(Y/N): "Smooth. Really smooth"

*Ruby POV*

It's night now so me and Yang were now in the ballroom in our pajamas getting ready for bed. I was writing in my journal when Yang 'lied' down one her sleeping bag

Yang: "It's like a big slumber party!"

Ruby: "I don't think Dad would approve of all the boys, though"

Yang: "I know I do!" she purred like a cat until she spotted Jaune in his onesie, making her groan. She then turns to me "What's that?"

Ruby: "A letter to the gang back at Signal. I promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going"

Yang: "Aw, that's so cuuuuute!" I throw a pillow at her

Ruby: "Shut up! I didn't get to take my friends with me to school! It's weird not knowing anyone here!"

Yang: "What about Jaune? He's... nice! And Ryze, he's cool. And what about (Y/N)? I heard from Ryze that he is a weapon geek just like you! You two match each other!" I blushed

Ruby: "Yeah... he is lovely..." I noticed what I said and started waving my hands while Yang smirks "W-wait! I-i didn't mean it that way!"

Yang: "Oh don't play dumb. I can see that you like him. When you got back from Vale a week ago you couldn't stop talking about him. And after meeting him I must say, you know how to pick'em sis" I fully blushed

Ruby: "Yaaaang!"

Yang: "I didn't hear a nooo~ where is he and Ryze by the way? I wanted to see him with his shirt off, and I'm sure you wanted to see (Y/N) like that too"

Ruby: "YAAAANG!"

While I was getting ready to kill Yang with a pillow I noticed a candle being lit nearby. This also caught Yang's attention as I saw the same girl that helped me with Weiss earlier

*(Y/N) POV, outside*

Me and Ryze went on a night stroll. He wanted to discuss some things, mostly about Samuel

Ryze: "(Y/N), it was him for sure?"

(Y/N): "Same color of hair and eyes, same jaw line. If it isn't your brother then my name is not (Y/N)"

Ryze: "So he is here. Now to just approach him"

(Y/N): "If there is luck on our side then we can get him to our team"

Ryze: "And any plan to do this?"

(Y/N): "There is always a plan, I just need to think over it" I smiled

Ryze: "I must say, you are the first Atlesian I met who is not behaving like a snob" I smiled again

(Y/N): "I'm different than for example Weiss. My family is rich too, alright, but only thanks to both of my parents hard work we have what we have. Most of those snobbish Atlesians got their fortune as family heirloom or by using Faunus as slaves, like SDC does. That's why I hate Weiss's father"

Ryze: "So, why don't you hate Weiss then?"

(Y/N): "Because she wasn't like that before. Her father influenced her to be like this"

Ryze: "Oh. I see"

(Y/N): "Anyway, I think we need to go to sleep. We have initiation tomorrow" 

Ryze: "Yeah, let's go bud" We entered the room and instantly we heard a whistle. Turning to it's source we saw Yang with flirtatious smile. Next to her was Ruby, which was blushing like crazy and tried to hid her face in her pillow. We get near them

(Y/N): "Hey girls, mind if we crash here?"

Yang: "Not at all, right Ruby?"

Ruby: "Y-yeah"

(Y/N): "What's with her? Rubes, are you sick?"

Ruby: "N-no! Can you please put your shirt on (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "Oh" I got a smile on my face "Like what you saw Ruby?" I asked while Ruby now hide in her sleeping bag. Yang meanwhile laughed and Ryze chuckled

Ruby: "Meanie! Curse you (Y/N)!"

Yang: "Oh come on sis, there is nothing to be ashamed. Ryze, looking good"

Ryze: "Thanks cutie"

(Y/N): "Geez, get a room you two. You are planning to go on a date after initiation, I assume?"

Ryze and Yang: "Yup!"

(Y/N): "And you two know each other for how long? 12 hours?"

Ryze: "I don't see why is that a problem?"

Yang: "Same"

(Y/N): "Oh you two... Hey, anyone who is near the candle! Can you blow it out or should I help you?"

???: "Right, sorry!"

(Y/N): "Thank you whoever did this!"

And I closed my eyes and went to sleep

A/N: Wow, two chapters in one day. Can do! I wrote this from pure boredom and got 4k words + 2k from previous chapter. See you guys tomorrow as I have a free day and will try to cover initiation. Also, there will be a bio for the team in a meanwhile
