*(Y/N) POV*

Cordovin: "You just couldn't keep this rivalry of ours between us, could you, Calavera? You had to go and rope children in to fail with you, is that it?" she fires at the airship flying around. Ruby uses this chance to climb up back onto the cliffs

(Y/N): "Petals, are you okay?"

Ruby: "I'm fine. What about you?"

(Y/N): "I've been through worse"

Oscar: "Ruby, (Y/N), are you guys okay?"

Ruby: "Are WE okay?!"

(Y/N): "You were supposed to keep the ship safe dammit!"

Oscar: "I know. We were supposed to keep our ride safe, but listen, I think I found a weakens with that robot"

Mako: "Care to share your thoughts Oscar?" he walks with Nora, who carries an injured Jaune

Ren: "Guys!" he runs to them

(Y/N): "Mako, you good?"

Mako: "Yeah, thanks to Jaune here. Oscar, tell us what you found"

Oscar: "The cylinder on Cordovin's cannon rotates and locks in a giant Dust cartridge every time she changes attack styles" Grandma barely makes the ship dodge a shot from said canon

Weiss: "We noticed"

Oscar: "I know, but her missile launcher doesn't lock in. It pops out instead. Her shields are down, so long-range attacks will deal direct damage. If we can get a well-placed shot in, it could detonate the missile before they're fired. That'll cause a huge explosion and destroy the cannon"

Jaune: "We could destroy the entire canon... Oscar, that's brilliant" I turn to Ruby

(Y/N): "Petals, you think you can make that shot?"

Ruby: "We'll only get one chance before she catches on. I'd have to be practically staring down the barrel of her cannon"

Maria: "Well, I've got a way to guarantee that" Grandma flies the airship back to our group. She stops with the hatch doors open. Ruby was just gonna to run towards them when I stop her

(Y/N): "I'm going with you"

Ruby: "No, they need you here!"

(Y/N): "Petals... I'm not gonna let you die alone. If we die, we die together" I smile at her before she sighs and we run forward and hop into the airship. It soon flies away towards Cordo's mech "Take us there, grandma!"

Maria: "Send her my regards, (Y/N)!" She then grabs a radio "Hey, Cordo! I've got one missile left and I know exactly where I'm gonna stick it!"

Cordovin: "One missile you say? That's a shame, Maria, because I have plenty!"

Cordovin has the missile launcher pop out from the mech's arm cannon while grandma continues flying toward her

Oscar: "ARE YOU TWO CRAZY?!!"

(Y/N): "It's in our family, Oscar"

Maria: "Sometimes the best approach is simply the most direct!"

As the airship moves closer, Ruby gets into position and aims at Cordovin's mech cannon

Cordovin: "You!"

Ruby pulls the trigger, but suddenly, the missile launcher retracts back into the arm cannon and the bullet is deflected.

(Y/N): "Dammit... too direct..."

Cordovin: "You thought you could fool me?!"

She readies the arm cannon again... with a lightning dust missile

(Y/N): "Grandma! Disconnect from the ship!"

Oscar: "Pull up!"

Grandma pulls up the airship, but it still gets partially caught in the blast, causing grandma's eyes to short out and close

Maria: "Aw! My eyes, I can't see!"

(Y/N): "I told you to disconnect!" I look at the cliff to see the shot barely missing the rest of our group

Maria: "Oscar, take control. Give us a controlled crash if you have to!" Oscar grabs the stick and starts pulling on it, barely gaining control of the airship

Oscar: "We're gonna crash! We're gonna CRASH!!"

(Y/N): "Everyone! Hold tight!" Oscar somehow managed to make a safe crash landing, somewhere in the forest, but still in one piece

Oscar: "We're... alive? We're alive!"

(Y/N): "Y-Yeah *pant* Good job Oscar" I walk out of the ship, catching my breath while Ruby stumbles and gets on all four beside me "Petals, nothing broken?"

Ruby: "N-No. I'm just-" Then ground shakes, and we can hear Cordovin

Cordovin: "Very clever, but even the smartest apes can't compete with the intellect of man" Ruby stands up using her scythe. We look back to the ship, to see Grandma Maria tries to kick start her eyes

Maria: "Come on, come on!"

Me and Ruby look towards Cordovin with determined expressions. We later look at each other and nod before walking forward. Suddenly, Qrow appears and takes Ruby's hand

Qrow: "Ruby, stop!" We look back to him

Ruby: "I need you to trust us"

(Y/N): "We know what to do, Qrow" Grandma then shouts from the airship

Maria: "Have some faith in your niece, Qrow. I have faith in my grandson, and look where it got him" I chuckle

(Y/N): "Yeah..."I turn to Qrow "Let us do our thing" Qrow closes his eyes and ultimately relents as Ruby pulls her hand away. We then walk to the edge of the cliff and stand face to face with the mech

Cordovin: "This game has been fun while it lasted, but it's over now. Surrender for your crimes and accept your punishment. You were foolish from the beginning in thinking you could defeat the Atlas military" she points a robot finger at us

Ruby: "NO!"

(Y/N): "Forget it!" We grab each other hands

Ruby: "We're going to Atlas. Bigger people than you have tried to stop us and failed, but we're supposed to be on the same side! We're supposed to use our power to protect people, but you just use yours to look down on everyone!"

(Y/N): "We didn't want to steal from you. We did it because you gave us no other choice! Now we're giving you one last chance to stand down and hear us out" there is a silence for a while

Cordovin: "I've heard enough" she aims her cannon at us. The rest of our group runs over to us, but we only stare at charging cannon

Oscar: "Ruby! (Y/N)!"

Ruby: "Cookie, do you trust me?"

(Y/N): "With all my heart" we nod and I pull Ruby into a spin, swinging her wide and throwing her into the cannon itself"

Nora: "They're nuts!"

Mako: "Wait, Oscar said that the missiles spring out..."

Sam: "But, the pods for the Dust get locked inside the cannon"

A while later we hear a shot from a sniper rifle, as Ruby flies out of the cannon's barrel, using the recoil and her semblance. Dust inside the cannon explodes, as ice, lightning and rocks burst out of it, disabling it

Cordovin: "What?! No! NO!" her cannon falls into the water, due to the extra mass.

In the meanwhile Ruby is falling towards the cliff, with heavily damaged Aura. Weiss uses her glyphs to slow her fall, and I jump into the air, catching Ruby with one arm and using my body to ease up the crash. Weiss falls to her knees as Sam and Team JNR check on her

Sam: "Snowflake, are you alright?"

Weiss: "I'm fine. Focus on Ruby and (Y/N)"

Qrow: "Ruby? Ruby!" he kneels beside us. Ruby groans a bit as she comes to, and looks up at him with a smile

Ruby: "I told ya" Qrow shows a relieved smile, she then turns to me "Nice catch" I chuckle and smile back

(Y/N): "And here I thought that I'm crazy" Ruby snickers and kisses me on the cheek.

Ruby: "You're not crazy, you're Cookie!" I laugh a little. We're on the middle of the battlefield and yet, her childish behavior still shows up

Just then, the airship behind us comes back to live, same as grandma's eyes

Maria: "Oh, don't tell me I missed the good part. I didn't even get to see Cordo's face when we beat her"

*Ryze POV*

I'm standing opposite of Adam, protecting the girls as they still hold hands. A light wind can be felt

Adam: "So, you still can't face me yourself, can you Blake? You still need help from your little friends to fight your battles for you" Yang growls and takes a step forward, but I extend my arm, stopping her

Ryze: "Before I gut you like a fish, I want to ask you something. Why can't you accept that Faunus and humans can live together?" Adam grinds his teeth

Adam: "Look at my face. This is all of the proof I need. Humans and Faunus can NEVER be together. You have no idea what I've been through!"

Ryze: "You think this is bad? Tell that to my friend's sister. Her parents were killed before her eyes when she was six. All because her father wanted to be treated better in Dust mines. They all were Faunus, and you know. She could easily go to the White Fang and be like you... but she didn't. Instead, she decided to make this life her own and let the past be in the past. Let me tell you about my other friend. His mother is a Faunus, his father is a human, they love each other, not looking at the differences. Isn't it the perfect example of what the White Fang was striving to achieve? After all, it was created to help bring peace between humans and Faunus"

Adam: "That was a fool's dream. It's impossible. The White Fang now, when I was leading it, was what it was supposed to be" I chuckle

Ryze: "Leading? Haha! Don't be stupid. They've kicked you out. You know why? Because you ran away like a little sissy you are. If not for Blake back at Haven, you could've been dead long ago. You say you're doing what's best for the Faunus, but that's a lot of bullshit. You kill people that are uncomfortable for your plans. You killed Faunus, only because they said something you don't like. We're different, while I fight to protect people I care about, you fight for revenge, for bloodshed, for yourself. You fight for nothing. Which is why you will never win" Adam growls, holding the handle of his sword, while I get my blades out

Adam: "We'll see if you can still talk after I slice you in two" he lowers his stance

I narrow my eyes. Just then we charge at each other. He unsheathes his blade in a quick slash, but I spin and swing my left blade, engulfed in... wind

'Did I... activate Guardian's powers?'

I don't think about it for too long, as our blades connect. He gets knocked back, and I waste no time, slashing my right blade across his chest. We make a few strikes at each other, but none of them hits, except for Adam getting pushed back from the wind his blade takes.

'What did (L/N) say about Guardian powers...? 'It's like a semblance boost'? Jinn said I have a wind control, now let's see how much I can harvest from it'

I concentrate, and soon a burst of wind releases around me, sending Taurus flying back

'Cool'

I change my weapons to gun mode, firing shots at Adam, but he manages to block them with his sword. I change my weapons back to its blade form and charge at him again. He makes another wide swing, but I jump into the air, engulfing my body in wind, to force me down fast to where he is standing. He takes another swing, but I block it with my left blade. He then tries to shot me up close, but I spin, using my guitar case to block the shot before sending a right slash at him. Taurus blocks it, but gets knocked back again. I make a series of slashes, although he blocks it, I keep sending him back

Ryze: "You can't keep fighting forever. I suggest you give up and I will spare your life. After crippling you for eternity of course"

Adam: "Shut up! I won't lose to a human!"

I attack him. We parry two strikes, before I spin to throw a roundhouse kick at him. Taurus ducks and makes a swing that I block with one of my blades. I send another wind wave at him, knocking him further. I make a slash at his left side before jumping over him and try to attack his back. I roll out of the way of another of his swings. I run at him, but he quickly sheathed and unsheathed his sword, sending a fast strike at me, sending me over the edge

Yang: "RYZE!" Adam laughs, as I slowly fly back up.

'Didn't he saw... idiot'

Adam: "Well, now with that out of the way" He begins to walk over to Blake and Yang, until he senses me behind him, while I float with white mist out of my eyes "What?!"

Ryze: "You aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer or brightest crayon in the box, are you, Taurus?" I fly at him

Adam swings his sword at me, but I deflect it as I fly past. I flip my feet, sending a wind out of them, using it to quickly slash at him. He fires his gun, but I just block it with my blades. I use this technique a few more times, slowly draining his Aura, landing an attack after attack. He aims his gun at me again, but a quick wave of wind makes him drop it and later throw it over the edge of the bridge. I land, slowly approaching him, as he tries to swing down his sword. I stop it with my left blade, making sure my semblance holds it in place. Taurus growls, before I send another wave of wind into his torso, knocking him off his feet. He gets back up just in time to block an upper head strike with his sword. However, concentrating more wind on one of my swords I was able to break his weapon in half. I drop my right blade and deliver a swift hook to his jaw, sending him flying into the rocky floor, breaking him apart, along with his Aura. Taurus gets onto his knees, looking at his broken blade nearby while I walk over, aiming my left blade at his throat

Ryze: "It's over. Give up, Taurus"

Adam: "I won't stop. I'll keep coming back and I'll kill you, I'll kill Blake, I'll kill every single person that ever stood in my way!"

Ryze: "*tsk* There is no hope for you... I really wanted to kill you and make you pay for what you did. To Yang, to Blake and to everyone you've hurt. But, I look at you now and I think you're not worthy. You're not worthy of my energy and anger" I lower my blade and turn around "Leave and never come back. Otherwise I will finish what I started back at Haven and today. This is your only warning"

I begin walking towards smiling girls. I notice with a corner of my eye that Taurus is not so looking forward to my proposition, as he grabs a piece of his broken sword. Yang and Blake's eyes widen

Yang: "Ryze!"

Taurus makes a slash aimed at my head, but I duck and spin around under it. I push my blade down through Adam's chest. Blood instantly leaks from the wound

Adam: "Oh..."

I pull the blade off. Taurus stumbles a few steps until he falls onto his knees at the bridge's edge. Taking one last breath, he falls over and crashes into the river below, dead. I sigh, shake my head, before calming down as the mist from my eyes disappears. The second I do I fall to my knees and start panting.

Yang: "Ryze!" she and Blake race to my side "Ryze, honey, are you-Ryze?" I start laughing quietly, only to later evolve into a full blown laughter as I rise my hand into the air

Ryze: "I did it! Haha! I fucking did it!"

Blake: "Yeah... You killed Adam"

Ryze: "No, not that. I finally activated Guardian's powers! Suck on that Sam and (Y/N)! Hahaha!" Yang smiles a little and later smirks

Yang: "You were jealous of them, Babe?"

Ryze: "Of course! You saw what I can do! And it's fucking awesome!" Both girls smile at me. I turn to Blake "Now you won't have a problem with your ex, Blake" she get some tears from her eyes, and later us three hug

Blake: "Thank you" she tires to stop the tears from coming "I'm not going to break my promise. I'm staying with you guys, now and forever" Me and Yang smile at her

Yang: "We know you won't"

Ryze: "I will be offended if you run away now, Blake" Now Blake is quietly sobbing as me and Yang hug her "Let it all out, Blake. You're safe now" I pat her back

Yang: "You have us. We will get through this, together"

Ryze: "Always"

*(Y/N) POV*

Cordovin tries and fails to get her machine moving again

Cordovin: "No! No, no, no, NO!!! You! You're never getting to Atlas! Do you hear me?! NEVER!!!"

(Y/N): "Isn't it ironic? You left us no choice. The only one you can blame it yourself"

Cordovin: "No, we'll see who's at fault when my forces destroy you! All forces! Converge on my position and eliminate these pests at once!"

Oscar: "Crap!"

Maria: "Everyone on board! We're making a run for it!"

Jaune: "What about Yang, Blake and Ryze?"

We hear a call coming from airship's radio

???: "Ma'am, we've been trying to reach you. Argus is in danger"

We look out to the ocean... only to find a giant Grimm slowly making its way towards the city, unleashing a loud roar

Sam: "Oh shit... Leviathan..." he and I look up, only to see lots of Manticore and Sphinx Grimm flying towards the city "And that's even worse...

(Y/N): "Crap. All the negativity from our fight brings Grimm here, straight to the city"

???: "It's a Leviathan. It began its approach during your battle. We need you" Grimm roars again before diving into the water, swimming closer to the shore

???: "All units, be advised: Leviathan-class Grimm has submerged but is still on approach. Preparing hard-light shields, over!"

We overhear the radio chatter, with looks of horror on our faces. Cordovin still struggles to get her mech's arm out of the water

???: "We're getting slammed by hostiles out here. Where is Cordovin?"

Cordovin: "This is your fault! Do you hear me?!"

(Y/N): "Oh, shut the hell up"

???: "Guys!" we look back to see Yang, Blake and Ryze running towards us

(Y/N): "Ryze, what the hell happened?" he looks over to a mech with his arm still in water as ice and rocks are still around it

Ryze: "I should be asking the same" Grimm then roars again "What the fuck is that?!"

Sam: "A Leviathan"

Weiss: "And we just ruined the only thing capable of stopping it..." We all board the ship, while I and Ruby hear Cordovin screaming and blaming us for this mess

(Y/N): "Old idiot..."

Blake: "I'm so sorry..." She gains our attention "This is my fault"

Yang: "It's not your fault. This isn't on you" she hold Blake's hand

Ruby: "You guys are safe. That's all that matters" she kneels before Yang and Blake before hugging the cat Faunus. I get near Ryze

(Y/N): "Ryze?"

Ryze: "That bull bitch Taurus... He won't be a problem anymore. Oh, I activated Guardian's powers" Me, Mako and Sam widen our eyes before smiling

Sam: "Well, at least one thing went as planned. Now we only have to get Mako and we're good"

Mako: "I try and try but I can't!"

Ryze: "I was pissed off when it activated, so maybe we'll try to piss you off too?" I and Sam slap his head "Ow!"

Sam: "There must be another way"

Maria: "I suppose I have to be the bad guy and say it" she gathers our attention "Getting the lamp to Atlas is still our top priority. And right now, we have the perfect opportunity to head straight for it in all the confusion. We may not have another chance"

Yang: "No way!"

Weiss: "We can't leave, not like this"

Blake: "It's like you said, a Huntress is supposed to protect others to the bitter end"

(Y/N): "Grandma, what the hell?! If we leave now, those Grimm will destroy Argus. Hundreds of innocent people will die, including Saphron and her family. We're not leaving. Not until we take that Leviathan down. You guys with me?" Me team nods in agreement

Me and Ruby nod to each other

Ruby: "We need to head for the Leviathan. Jaune, can you and Ren mask our ship?" Boys in question look between each other and smile

Ren: "I think we can manage"

Jaune: "Got any ideas?" Me and Ruby look at each other

(Y/N): "We've got one"

Sam: "It's better be good, chief"

Qrow: "Everyone, heads up. The Leviathan's back" he points ahead

The Leviathan swims under the surface, and eventually breaks through, roaring into the skies as it hits the shallows and moves closer to the city

Manta 3-4: "Argus base, this is Manta 3-4, Leviathan has hit the shallows and resurfaced. We need those shields up now! Over"

In front of the approaching Leviathan, tall, thin towers sprout out from the water and the rock formations outside of the city, powering up and creating two rings of hard-light Dust shields around Argus to protect it. The Leviathan tries to walk through it, but the first shield holds it back, causing it to roar in annoyance

???: "Target has been stopped. All available units, engage"

A few airships fly by, firing missiles that strike the giant Grimm's head, but they seem to do little damage. Just then, flames form inside the Grimm's mouth, and a moment later, it unleashes a powerful breath attack at the shields. The shield holds up against the attack, but the Leviathan moves the breath attack across the shield until it strikes and destroys one of the towers. With it destroyed, the rest of the first shield goes down, granting the Grimm access to the second shield, and getting closer to the city

Sam: "Oh no"

(Y/N): "This is bad, and I mean really bad. Now it's a matter of minutes"

???: "All squadrons! Fall back to evacuation procedures. Disengage Leviathan. I repeat, disengage Leviathan and fall back to evacuation procedures" Me and Ruby rush to the radio

Ruby: "No, wait!"

(Y/N): "Stop!"

Qrow: "Ruby! (Y/N)!" Ruby grabs the radio

Ruby: "We can stop it!"

???: "Who is this? Identify yourself!"

Ruby: "I'm a huntress. My team and I are heading to the Leviathan and can weaken it for you to attack"

(Y/N): "Just give us some time!" everyone looks at us

Jaune: "We can?" Me and Ruby exchange the look

Ruby: "WE, can"

(Y/N): "That's me and Ruby"

Maria: "You two, when I said trial by fire-"

Ruby: "We did it at Beacon. And at the farm"

Weiss: "You really think you both can do it now?"

(Y/N): "Either that or that Grimm will destroy Argus"

???: "Manta 5-1, your ship is currently flagged as hostile. You will receive no support, over" I growl and grab the radio

(Y/N): "Fine! We'll do it ourselves if we have to. I swear, that's why I hate the Atlesian military. You guys go only by protocols and follow orders, instead of doing the right thing to do and save people. Well, you can take your directives and shove them up your ass! We'll do our job and yours. Over and out"

Ruby: "We can hit it while it's stopped at the next barrier. Ren, you're up!"

Jaune amplifies Ren's aura, and he uses his semblance to mask the ship. We fly through the aerial chaos, getting closer to the Leviathan, who's in the meanwhile made it to the second shield, charging up another attack

Qrow: "We're too late! Pull up!"

Grandma jerks back the stick, and we barely avoid the breath attack when it fires. It flies past us as it destroys the second shield. Ren and Jaune collapse, exhausted

Jaune: "Damn it...!"

Ren: "That's all I've got"

Mako: "That thing is moving again. It's gonna reach the city. What're we gonna do?" Ruby thinks for a while before looking at Weiss. Grimm gets closer to the city, but our airship flies around it, coming from the left side. The doors open, as Nora, Yang, Ryze and Mako ready their weapons at it.

Nora: "Eyes on us, ugly!" They fire their weapons at Leviathan, gaining their attention

Blake: "Is it working?"

Mako: "I think we just tickled it"

Maria: "Quite the opposite. Hang on!" Me and Ruby jump on Weiss' summon and fly out of the ship.

Ruby: "Okay, okay, we can do this... We have to do this!"

(Y/N): "We get one shot at this... Remember what grandma said at the farm"

Ruby: "Yeah, I do"

(Y/N): "Then let's do this!"

We stop in front of the Leviathan and close our eyes, trying to concentrate. All noises around us slowly muting out

Yang: "Ruby? (Y/N)? Hurry, something-

Ruby groans before we take our earpieces out and throw them down into the ocean before trying to focus again. I'm thinking about my mom, Lampo, my dog, when Mako started the food fight and when my team won their rounds back at Vytal festival. However, thought after thought, I start thinking about what happened back there. The Fall of Beacon, when I saw Penny killed, when I saw what happened after the Fall, when I was too late to save Pyrrha... I suddenly open my eyes and Ruby did too, only to see Leviathan standing face to face with us

Ruby: "What?!"

(Y/N): "Wait..." I look down at Ruby's belt to see the Relic of Knowledge still present there. Then I remember what Ozpin said about it "The Relic!"

Ruby: "No, no, no, no!"

Leviathan opens his mouth and lunges toward us. Ruby quickly grabs my arm

Ruby: "J-JINN!!!"

Time stops. Everything slows down and freezes, even Yang calling out Ruby's name

Yang: "Ruby!"

Ruby breaths the sigh of relief, as we hear the rattling chains of Jinn and later let go of my arm

Ruby: "I'm sorry... We don't have a question for you... We just needed a little more time..." We look to Jinn. She has a stern look on her face

Jinn: "I know... and while you both don't seek knowledge, I shall give it freely. I will not allow you to use me without a question again..." she smiles at us "Even if this was clever"

(Y/N): "Thanks Jinn. And it really was clever, Petals"

Ruby: "Thanks. But we still have to take this thing down"

(Y/N): "We will" I hold Ruby's hand in my and gently squeeze it as she held mine tightly "Together" Ruby smiles and nods

Ruby: "Together"

We turn back to Leviathan, with our hands still intervened, and close our eyes, trying to concentrate again as time slowly gets back to its pace. I get back to when I met Ruby, Ryze, Jaune and Yang, when I saw Weiss again after seven years, when I and Ryze started our prank wars, our numerous parties and clubs we burned down. I chuckle lightly at this. When I met Pyrrha at Sanctum, and us becoming best friends. My training with grandma Maria, telling her how I want to be a Huntsmen, just like dad. Then my thought went to Ruby. How we met that one eventful night. How I chuckled at her vacuuming cookies. When I saved her twice at the Initiation. When she tried to comfort me on dad's death anniversary. Our first kiss, first date. The dance, everything that happened during our travel through Anima. Then, it drifted to my dad. He appeared next to Ruby's mom. With blue flame and white rose petals blowing in the wind behind them. They turn around and smile at us

Albert: "(Y/N)... I'm so proud of you... Go... Make this world better"

A single tear of joy slid down my cheek

(Y/N): "I will dad, I will" I whisper quietly

Me and Ruby open our eyes, as they shine brightly. Soon a massive white light engulfs the area, tuning the Grimm to a stone statue. When it dies I turn to Ruby and smile

(Y/N): "We did it" Ruby hugs me and I hug back. Suddenly, we hear stone crackling behind us. We turn around to see Leviathan managed to free its head and tries to aim at us

Ruby: "No..."

(Y/N): "This is an extreme amount of bullshit for one day..."

???: "I'll take it from here!" we look to our left to see Cordovin's mech, now without its cannon. It begins to run towards the semi-petrified Leviathan

Cordovin: "After all, I was sworn to protect the people!"

Mech's left hand transforms into a giant drill. Cordovin uses it to destroy the Leviathan, causing it to dissipate. It later walks over to us. Its cockpit opens up, revealing Cordovin herself, standing in a stern military manner

(Y/N): "Thanks, Mrs. Cordovin..."

Ruby: "And... We're sorry... about before"

Cordovin: "The Atlas military can deal with the rest of the stragglers"

Ruby: "What, uh... What're you saying?"

Cordovin: "I'm saying that I don't think anyone would notice if one more ship went missing in my... lengthy report" she smiles at us, and Ruby smiles back. She then turns to me "Mr. (L/N). (Y/N): "No problem, Mrs. Cordovin. And sorry for grandma, and the cashews, and-"

Cordovin: "Your grandmother is still not welcome in Argus' base" she turns around, before looking at me again, smiling "But, I can make some exceptions" she enters the mech, closes the cockpit before running off to join her man in taking down the remaining Grimm

*timeskip*

Our ship travels through the nightly sky

Maria: "We should have just enough fuel to make it to Atlas"

Ruby: "Thanks, Maria"

Qrow: "Hey, Ruby. You did great out there today, kid. Just don't go giving me heart attacks like that again" He was about to drink from his flask, but decides not to, making Ruby smile as she hugs him

Ruby: "I love you, too" Qrow smiles at Ruby

(Y/N): "I hope I'm not interrupting anything?" they turn to me "Good choice, Qrow" Me and Ruby walk back, with me sitting closer to pilots seats

Maria: "You weren't half bad yourself today, Qrow" he sights after a while

Qrow: "I feel like they did all the heavy lifting"

Maria: "But you were there to help when they asked for it, and you were there to catch them when they fell. Literally, if I recall"

Qrow: "Thanks. You know, it was pretty incredible getting to see the Grimm Reaper in action"

Maria: "Ha, you should have seen me when I was your age!" she then turns around and looks at me "Besides, you'll have a new Grimm Reaper to watch. (Y/N), come here for a while" I stand up and walk to the front. Grandma searches for something in her cloak, only to get one ornate skull mask and a dark blue skull necklace "It's yours now"

(Y/N): "Grandma... I-"

Maria: "Don't 'grandma' me, boy. You did good today. Not like me in my youth, but it's enough for the beginning" she smiles at me as I take the mask and the necklace in my hands "Try it on" I put both the mask and the necklace on

(Y/N): "So?" Grandma grimaces

Maria: "I looked better in those, to be honest" I take the mask off and stripe it to my arm

(Y/N): "I won't hide my identity. Salem already knows about me, and this thing smells"

Maria: "Well, it's natural. I kept it in there since I decided to train you. I would wash it before putting it on if I were you" I get grossed out and walk back to the rest of the group as Qrow and Grandma look up at the night sky. Ryze, Sam, Yang, Blake and Mako are sitting near the edge

Weiss: "I'm sorry you went through that nightmare, and I'm glad Yang and Ryze were there to help you in time" The three smile and hold each other's hand

Ryze: "Heh, what're friends for?"

Yang: "Oh, I'm just a friend to you, now?"

Ryze: "Sunny Dragon, you know better than that. Look at your left hand and think again" he smirks at Yang, before kissing her cheek, earning a giggle

Nora: "Now this is more like it"

Me and Ruby turn to them, only for them to stare at us

(Y/N): "What?"

Ruby: "Hey, stop it!"

Ren: "You both petrified a Leviathan..."

Sam: "After (Y/N) threw Ruby inside the barrel of a cannon!" Ruby laughs as I smirk

(Y/N): "You made it sound like it's something new in ours lives"

Ruby: " Don't act like you all haven't done crazy stuff before! I mean, Oscar made a successful crash landing! He's a fourteen-year-old farm hand!"

Jaune: "That was seriously impressive"

Mako: "And crazy. Good job Oscar"

Blake: "We'd have been stranded without you"

Oscar: "I... thanks, but... I've been meaning to tell you guys... I didn't crash the ship alone... Ozpin helped me. I heard his voice before the ship crashed"

Nora: "Ozpin took control?!"

Oscar: "No, he guided me. And then he was gone again"

Yang: "Does that mean he's been watching us this whole time?"

Oscar: "I don't know, but... at least this means he was looking out for us in a way"

(Y/N): "Doesn't matter. If he returns, he will have a lot to explain. But for now, be glad we're making it to the Atlas"

Qrow: "Speaking of which, if any of you haven't seen Atlas in person, you don't want to miss this" he gains our attention, pointing outside the window. Us eight walk to the cockpit

Ruby: "Is it weird that I'm sorta nervous?"

Yang: "No, I'll believe we've made it to Atlas when I see it"

Weiss: "Well... believe it"

(Y/N): "After nearly nine years... I'm home..."

Soon clouds clear out, and the floating kingdom of Atlas, the kingdom in the skies, comes in the view. A whole kingdom floating above the ground, with a few giant tethers keeping it from drifting away, with the former kingdom of Mantle sitting right underneath it

Maria: "You know, you make the trip to Atlas over and over, but you never get used to that view" her eyes start to act up again "Oh, come on!"

Me and Weiss lean forward, and a nervous look gets on our faces. Ruby notices this

Ruby: "(Y/N), Weiss, what is it?"

(Y/N): "Look up" Everyone looks up, and notice many Atlesian Airships above the city

Weiss: "The Atlas air fleet... I knew all of our ships were called back, but..."

(Y/N): "What does James think...?"

Qrow: "They're set up like they're expecting an attack" Then comms come to life

???: "Manta 5-1, this is the Atlas air fleet... Welcome home..." I look ahead to Atlas

(Y/N): "Ladies and gentlemen... Welcome to the Kingdom of Atlas'' Ruby gently take my hand in her

Ruby: "I told you, we will make it here no matter what" I smile at her

(Y/N): "Yeah" we continue to look forward

'Looks like a good occasion' I put my free hand in my trousers' pocket to spot a metal object in it 'Good thing I didn't lose it. Now, only wait for an opportunity...'
