*(Y/N) POV*

As Port ordered the match to start, all members of Team JNPR rushed the three male members of Team BRNZ as their fourth member ran back to the forest.

Mako: "May will give them a fire support from the trees" I looked surprised at Mako

(Y/N): "How did you know their names?"

Mako: "Emm..." He pointed to the display high above, listing all members of the teams and their names

(Y/N): "How the heck did I not notice it..."

Just as Team BRNZ's leader, Brawnz, was about to engage Pyrrha I felt my scroll ringing. I stood up and started to walk to the exit

Ruby: "Where are you going Cookie? You will miss the match"

(Y/N): "Someone is calling me, I will be right back"

Ruby: "Okay!"

I went on my way. When I was outside I took my scroll and saw it was mom calling, again

(Y/N): "Hey mom, I hope you saw my team's match"

Mom: "Hey son! Yes I saw it and you kicked butt!" I scraped the nape of my neck

(Y/N): "Hehe, thanks... I assume you couldn't make it to Vale?"

Mom: "Quite the opposite (Y/N). I'm on the ship with Winter and we are on our way to Vale"

(Y/N): "Good to hear that. I will tell Weiss when I get back. Oh, and mission accomplished. Me and Ruby visited her mom's grave. I told her you said hello"

Mom: "And...?"

(Y/N): "*sigh* I met Ruby' dad. He seems cool for an old guy. Thankfully he didn't killed me"

Mom: "So, he accepted you?"

(Y/N): "Yes, he even said I would make a 'great son-in-law'. Why the only thing parents think about when you are in a relationship is marriage?"

Mom: "(Y/N), every parent wants the best for their kids. And I think Tai thinks you are what's the best for Ruby. Same as I think Ruby is the best for you"

(Y/N): "Mom! She is only fifteen and I'm seventeen! We have time!"

Mom: "*giggle* Of course you do! You two still have to graduate from Beacon. See you soon (Y/N). I will be waiting for you and Ruby"

(Y/N): "Right, see you mom" I walked back inside and get near Weiss "Weiss Cream"

Weiss: "Huh? (Y/N), what do you want?"

(Y/N): "My mom called, she and Winter are on their way here" Weiss instantly lighten up

Weiss: "Really?!" I nodded "It's excellent to hear!" I get back to my seat next to Ruby

(Y/N): "What did I miss?"

Ruby: "Nothing much, Nora just take out their sniper and they are now in a standoff"

Jaune: "This is it guys! Let's finish 'em with team attacks. Ren, Nora, Flower Power!"

Ryze: "Sounds like a name for some hippie vehicle..."

Nora: "Wait... what?"

Jaune turned to his team

Jaune: "F-flower power. That's your team attack name"

Ren: "Since... when?"

Jaune: "Guys, we went over this! Flower power's Ren and Nora. Ren brings the flower, Nora brings the power!"

Ren: "How do I bring a flower?"

Nora: "No, silly! Not 'a flower'! Flour! Like in baking!"

Ren: "Why would I bring that?"

Jaune: "Eh, uh, no, it's your symbol!"

Pyrrha: "So, what are we?" she said gesturing to her and Jaune

Jaune: "Pyrrha!"

Pyrrha: "Sorry! I just wanna make sure it's clearly defined" We noticed their opponents are growing impatient

Jaune: "Pyrrha, you and I are Arkos. It's that thing, where we take our shields, remember?"

Pyrrha: "Arkos?"

Jaune: "Yeah! It's our names put together!"

Mako: "I ship it" We looked at him "What?"

(Y/N): "Nothing" We turned back to match

Pyrrha: "Right, no, I get it..."

Jaune: "What, do you not like it?"

Pyrrha: "No, no! It's... good?"

Nora: "Mmm, I sensed hesitation!" Team BRNZ had enough

Brawnz: "Hey! What do you think you're doing?!"

Jaune: "Trying to have a team meeting, thank you very little!"

Nora: "Yeah! Team ears only!" Brawnz looked at his team, as they are clearly confused

Brawnz: "We're in the middle of a fight!"

Jaune: "AND WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION! WHAT DON'T YOU GET ABOUT THAT?!"

Pyrrha: "Um, Jaune?"

Jaune: "Yes, Pyrrha?"

Pyrrha: "I think that he means that we're all in the middle of a fight" Jaune remembered why they are here and sighs

Jaune: "Ugh... Nora, just... hit them with the hammer"

Nora: "Got it"

(Y/N): "And Team JNPR wins..."

Ryze: "Yeah, one hit from Nora can knock you out for two hours..."

Brawnz: "Wait, what?!"

Nora jumped forward and smashed every member of Team BRNZ out of the arena. They hit the wall and slide down it.

Sam: "Ouch. They will feel it in the morning..."

Port: "And with that, it appears Team JNPR wins by knockout. Literally! Can someone go make sure they're okay?"

I laughed

Ruby: "Cookie, what's so funny?"

(Y/N): "Well, they slid down like in some cartoon. And Jaune's team moves naming is just horrible. I thought that our 'Spoon Bender' was bad"

Ryze: "Oi! Spoon Bender is a good name!"

Sam: "Only because you come with it, doesn't make it good. We agreed to name it like that because you and Mako wanted to"

(Y/N): "And because Mako bend some spoons before"

Mako: "Hey! I said I was sorry!"

(Y/N): "It's okay. Now, let's see who is next"

Oobleck: "Aw well, Vacuo fans are sure to be hurting after that one, but this next round will have them on the edge of their seats"

Port: "Team NDGO (Indigo) of Shade is certainly a crowd favorite, but these lovely ladies are going against some of the toughest, testosterone-filled teammates we've seen so far. I'm of course talking about...Team SSSN (Sun)! Sun Wukong and his team are certainly a force to be reckoned with. And although he'll be representing the Mistral academy of Haven, I'm sure his friends and family back in Vacuo will be cheering him along"

Sam: "Let's see if those idiots can make it?"

Weiss: "Good luck Neptune!" Neptune waved, before spotting girls of Team NDGO and starting flirting with them

Neptune: "Ladies" After that Weiss was shaking with anger

Weiss: "BREAK HIS STUPID FACE, NDGO!"

Ryze: "Looks like someone is in trouble. Sam, play it right bro"

Sam: "What?" I got where Ryze was going and joined him

(Y/N): "Oh, come on, Samuel... We all know what's going off between you and Ice Queen" Sam turned away from us with a small blush

Sam: "I-I don't know what you are talking about guys. Let's get back to the match" he said nervously

Ryze: "Oh, brother..." we listened to his pleads and looked back to the arena

Neptune: "Alright girls, try and remember. Hands...above the waist" Sun put a hand on Neptune's shoulder

Sun: "Ignore him, for he...Yeah, he's dumb"

Neptune winks at them, much to girls' disgust. Then the arena begins to set up the next match. On Team's NDGO side a desert section with tall rock formations rises up. Above the rocks, an artificial sun appears.

Nebula: "Alright, home field advantage!"

Sun: "Don't get too cocky. That's my turf, too!"

Scarlet: "I hope I don't get sand in my shoes"

Neptune: "Be cool, man"

Gwen: "Hey, the ocean!"

Neptune: "Huh?" he turns around and upon seeing an ocean sign his face went from confident to fear, as he starts to whimper

Ruby: "Uh... what's wrong with Neptune?"

Blake: "Oh, no"

Mako: "Care to fill us in, Blake?"

Blake: "Neptune's... afraid of water" I spilled my drink while Ryze dropped his popcorn. After that me and my team started laughing

Ryze: "You... haha. You can't be serious Blake!"

(Y/N): "Oh my Oum, and his name is Neptune! Haha!"

Mako: "Yeah, pretty ironic" We turned back to match "It's gonna be good"

Oobleck: "Three, two, one, begin!"

Neptune immediately run past Team NDGO and get as far away from the ocean as he could, earning a laugh from us

Ryze: "Oh fuck haha! It's better than Jaune in the dress!"

We turned back to match to see Neptune climbed on rocks, high above Team NDGO

Neptune: "They would never expect it!"

Dew: "He's not wrong"

Nebula: "Open fire!" Girls rushed Neptune

(Y/N): "And thanks to Neptune, Team SSSN formation went and died... Petals, wake me up when someone wins. I have enough of laughing at Neptune"

Ruby: "Oh, okay!" I get my hood on and closed my eyes

*Timeskip, because I'm lazy and you probably saw that fight in the show...*

I was woke up, not by Ruby but by Ryze laughing

Ryze: "Hahaha! Right in the nuts!"

(Y/N): "Matoi, shut up..."

Ryze: "(L/N)! Wake up! Scarlet just granted himself no kids in the future!" I got my hood back down and looked at the reply. It showed Scarlet getting hit in the face with one flaming coconut and a while later in the balls with second one

(Y/N): "Ughhh... I felt that...." I winced at the sigh "Yup, no kids for him"

Sun: "Nuts. Uh, Neptune?! Could use some help buddy!"

Neptune: "Uh, ya know, it would probably be better if you came over here! Yeah, I can guard this...sector...We're in lockdown mode"

Sun: "What are you talking about? There's nothing to lockdown!"

Neptune: "Lockdown! Right! You got it!"

Nebula and Gwen jumps at sun, as he dodges it at the last moment

Sun: "Dude, I know you're afraid of water, but you gotta-" He stopped as Neptune shot Dew, who tried to attack Sun again

Neptune: "There, I helped! Are you happy now?! Also, I am not afraid of water, and I have no idea what YOU are talking about!"

Meanwhile Dew gets back up as Nebula and Gwen get next to her. All three girls get in the combat stance

Sun: "NEPTUNE!"

Neptune: "Okay, fine! Just get out of the water" Neptune jumps to the shore, and tiptoed his way to the edge of water after transforming his weapon into a trident. It sparked with electricity, before he get this into the water, shocking the rest of Team NDGO, dropping their aura to red. Then we heard a buzzer, signaling the end of a match

Port: "And with that, Team SSSN moves onto the doubles round. You know what I call that victory?"

Oobleck: "Shocking?"

Port: "No. Well earned. What you said is stupid"

(Y/N): "Guys, how do you grade their match?"

Ryze: "Three out of ten, complete mess. Although I had fun laughing at Neptune"

Sam: "Same"

Mako: "Could be better. But that nut shot was perfect"

Ruby: "Uuuugh, that was so close"

Yang: "Looks like the dorks made it to the next round!"

We looked down to see Neptune and Sun doing a little victory dance. Sun notices Blake, winks at her and gave her some finger guns, making her blush

Blake: "Emphasis on dork"

Oobleck: "That concludes the matches for today. Please leave the coliseum IN A CALM AND ORDERLY FASHION!"

Yang: "Come on, let's go congratulate them"

We stood up and started walking towards the exit, that's until me and Weiss spotted an Atlesian ship with blue ribbon. We stopped, making Ruby bump into us

Ruby: "Uh, what are you two doing?"

Weiss: "They're here" she said happily

(Y/N): "Yeah. They get here safely" Weiss runs off, with me and Ruby right behind her

Ruby: "Guys slow down! Who's here?! What's so important?!" Me and Weiss smiled

Weiss: "Winter"

Ruby: "Wait... your sister?" We watched as the ramp opened with Winter, as she exit the ship with Atlesian guards

Weiss: "Winter!" us three run up to her "Winter! I'm so happy to see you! Oh... Your presence honors us" she bowed

(Y/N): "Hey Winter" I waved and Weiss elbowed my side "Ouch..."

Winter: "Beacon... it's been a long time... the air feels... different"

Ruby: "I mean it is fall, so, eh, it's probably colder" I snickered as Weiss punched Ruby in the shoulder

Weiss: "So, what are you doing here?"

Winter: "Classified"

Weiss: "Oh, right. Well, how long are you staying?"

Winter: "Classified"

Weiss: "Of course"

Ruby: "Well... this is nice... I think"

Weiss: "You're going to love it here! I know you travel a lot, but so much of Beacon is different from Atlas! Vale, too. The government and school are completely separate! Can you believe it?! I-"

Winter: "I'm more than familiar with how this kingdom handles its bureaucracy. That is not why I came"

Weiss: "Right! I'm sorry!"

Winter: "Nor did I come here to watch my own blood fail so miserably in battle. But it appears that I have no choice in the matter"

Weiss: "But we won!"

Winter: "Only a novice would refer to that as a victory. I counted at least three strikes missed" she raised her hand "Leave us" Two guards stepped back "How have you been?"

Weiss: "Oh, splendid! Thank you for asking. I'm actually in the very top ranking of our sparring class! And the rest of my studies are going wonderfully, too! I'm-" Winter smacked her in the head

Winter: "Silence, you boob! I don't recall asking about your ranking. I'm asking how you've been. Are you eating properly? Have you taken up any hobbies? Are you making new friends?" Weiss groaned

Weiss: "Well... there is Ruby"

Ruby: "Hehe. Boob" she pushed the bump back into Weiss head

Weiss: "And (Y/N) is here too"

Winter: "I see. So this is the leader you wrote of. How appropriately... underwhelming" she then looked at me "It's nice to see you again, (Y/N)"

(Y/N): "Finally she noticed me! It's good to see you too Ice Cube"

Ruby: "Ice Cube?"

(Y/N): "You see, when we were little, Winter..." she cut me off

Winter: "Don't you ever bring up this topic again"

(Y/N): "Okay, okay. Seems you're still sensitive about it. So, you saw our fights, Winter?"

Winter: "Of course. And I must say, unlike my sister you can fight properly"

(Y/N): "Hey, seven years of my grandma's training payed off"

Winter: "So, how are you?"

(Y/N): "Oh, I'm good. I have a perfect team, I have a girlfriend" I pointed to Ruby as she blushed and waved

Ruby: "Hi, again..."

Winter: "I see. Elizabeth wasn't lying then..." I cut her off

(Y/N): "Speaking of my mom, where is she? She said she will..." I was cut off by screams coming from the ship. Well, mom is here

Mom: "(Y/N)!" she ran out of the ship and hugged me "Son, it's good to finally see you. How long has it been?" I returned the hug. My mom has long (H/C) hair and blue eyes. She is wearing white lab coat, glasses and a brown skirt with a red sweater.

(Y/N): "Seven years mom. Heh" we broke the hug

Mom: "Where is Ruby? You told me you two will welcome me"

Ruby: "Um... Hi, Mrs. Elly" Ruby waved and my mom's eyes sparkled as she hugged Ruby

Mom: "Oh my Oum, you really are just like Summer! It's nice to finally meet you in person, Ruby!"

Ruby: "You too ma'am" They broke the hug

Mom: "I told you to call me Elly"

Ruby: "Right, Elly"

(Y/N): "So, as we just ended the matches for today, why don't we go somewhere to eat?"

Mom: "I must say, being on the ship for 12 hours worked my appetite" I took Ruby's hand in mine and we walked in front of them

(Y/N): "Winter, Weiss, you coming? My treat"

Mom: "More like my treat. Don't forget who earn money in this family, young man" Ruby giggled

Winter: "I will speak with my sister a little more. We will join you later"

(Y/N): "Okay, okay" we started walking towards school ground

Mom: "You two remind me so much of Albert and me when we were at Beacon. A cute young couple, deep in love with each other" Me and Ruby blushed "So, (Y/N), when I will become a..." I cut her off as I know what she was about to say

(Y/N): "No. Not now. How is grandma by the way?"

Mom: "That witch from Argus' base forbidden her to go to Atlas. All because of one pack of cashews..."

(Y/N): "But?"

Mom: "I used a private jet from James in order to get her to Atlas and back to Mistral"

Ruby: "Wow! You got a private jet?!" I snickered and mom giggled

Mom: "Ruby, you not only have your mother's looks but also her imagination"

(Y/N): "Okay, so who wants what? There is a noodle stand, pie stand...."

Ruby: "Cookie stand!" I laughed

(Y/N): "Yeah, cookie stand"

Mom: "Summer's sweet tooth too. Ruby did you know your mom once flooded Team STRQ's dorm with cookies?"

Ruby: "Really?" Mom nodded

Mom: "From normal chocolate chips to strawberry cookies, to even double stuffed" we continued to walk as Ruby and mom got to know each other better, until we saw a crowd surrounding something. We walked to the front and spotted Weiss

Ruby: "What's going on?!"

Mom: "Of course this drunk idiot would start something"

(Y/N): "Who are you talking about..." I trailed off as I saw some guy fighting Winter. He had red cape, black trousers and white shirt

Weiss: "Some crazy guy just started attacking my sister!"

Ruby: "Oh no! who would do such a th-... That's my uncle!"

(Y/N): "What?! That's your uncle?!"

Ruby: "Yes! Kick her butt, uncle Qrow!"

Weiss: "Uh... Teach him respect, Winter!"

Mom: "Come on bird brain! Don't tell me you rusted!" Qrow looked at my mom, as his eyes widen in surprise before he parried a strike from Winter

The fight goes on, they destroy half of the courtyard.

(Y/N): "Petals, I thought your uncle use scythe, not sword"

Ruby: "Wait for it"

Just then Qrow started to transform his weapon, but he stopped, placing the sword on his back and mocking Winter. This causes her to boil and rush at him until...

Ironwood: "Schnee!" we looked behind her to see James and Penny behind him

Winter: "General Ironwood, sir!"

Ironwood: "What in the world do you think you're doing?"

Winter: "He started the altercation, sir!"

Mom: "Actually, James. Winter started it, not Qrow. I saw it from my drone"

James: "Elizabeth, is that true?"

Mom: "Hey, videos don't lie" She showed him her scroll with a video of Winter attacking Qrow. After that James looked at Winter as she lowered her head in shame. He then turns to Qrow

Ironwood: "And you" Qrow pointed innocently to himself "What are you doing here?"

Qrow: "I could be asking you the same thing"

Ironwood: "I-" then Ozpin interrupted him

Ozpin: "Now, now, everyone. There is a sanctioned fight happening just around the corner at the Colosseum, that I can assure you has better seats... and popcorn"

Glynda: "Break it up, everyone! We will take care of this mess"

Ironwood: "Let's go" With that James, Winter and Penny leaves. Penny notices me and Ruby, sending a wave as we return it. After that Ruby attach herself to Qrow as me and my mom walked up to him

Ruby: "Uncle Qrow!!! Hi. It's so good to see you! Did you miss me? Did you miss me?!"

Qrow: "Nope" he looked up to me and my mom "And who do we have here" Ruby slid down his arm

Ruby: "Oww!"

Mom: "It's nice to see you too, Qrow"

Qrow: "Yeah. When was the last time we saw each other Elly? Sixteen years ago?" He looked at me "And I assume this is a match stick jr."

(Y/N): "Yeah... *ekhm* It's nice to meet you Mr. Qrow. I'm (Y/N)"

Qrow: "Chill out kid. Just call me Qrow. Me and Albert were good buddies back in Beacon. Hell, he was the only person who can outdrink me"

Mom: "Yeah, and later me and Summer had to drag your drunk asses back to our dorms..."

Qrow: "Oh come on Elly. It was fun" Mom sighed

Ozpin: "Qrow! A word, please. You too, Elizabeth"

Qrow: "I think we're in trouble"

Mom: "Speak for yourself..."

Ruby: "You did kinda tear up our courtyard"

(Y/N): "And started a fight on said courtyard"

Qrow: "Yeah, I did. I'll catch you both later. Nice meeting you, match stick" he gave us a fist bumps as mom hugs me and Ruby

Mom: "Me and Qrow have some things to do with Ozpin. Bye you two"

(Y/N): "See ya mom"

Ruby: "Goodbye Elly"

Weiss: "And suddenly, your recklessness makes sense"

Ruby: "You're just mad cause he whooped butt"

Weiss: "That was a draw at best"

(Y/N): "Weiss Cream, Qrow had an upper hand in this fight. Also, Winter said you missed 'three strikes' as she can't land one hit on a drunk guy"

Weiss: "Be quiet you dolt!" and I laughed

*Elly POV*

After saying my goodbyes to Ruby and (Y/N) I went next to Qrow

Qrow: "So, your son and my niece got together"

Elly: "How do you know about Ruby and (Y/N)?"

Qrow: "My other niece sent me some pictures of them together. Especially from the dance" we stood there in silence, waiting for Glynda and Ozpin

Elly: "They remind me of Albert and me back then..."

Qrow: "Listen, Elly, if your kid is like Albert I know he will take good care of Ruby. I just have to ask him some questions to be sure"

Elly: "You better not hurt him or I will rip your lungs out. You know I'm capable of it"

Qrow: "And that's why we called you 'gorilla cyclops'" I punched his shoulder "Ouch"

Elly: "Don't you ever call me that again" We boarded the elevator with Ozpin and Glynda. "So, Glynda, how is (Y/N) in class?"

Glynda: "He's one of my top students, right after Miss Nikos. And his team is close behind him"

Elly: "That's good to hear" Soon we get to Ozpin's office

Winter: "What were you thinking?!"

James: "If you were one of my man, I would have you shot"

Qrow: "If I was one of your man I would have shoot myself" and he get his flask out

Glynda: "While I wouldn't condone his behavior, retaliating like you did certainly didn't help the situation"

Winter: "He was drunk!"

Elly and Glynda: "He's always drunk!" We looked to Qrow to see him drinking from his flask

Elly: "Wow, real role model for Ruby..."

Qrow: "I don't drink near her..."

Ozpin: "Qrow, why are you here?"

James: "You've been out of contact for weeks! You can't just go dark like that on the field"

Qrow: "I'm not one of your special operatives, Jimmy"

Winter: "General"

Qrow: "Whatever. You sent me to get intel on our enemy, and I'm telling you our enemy is here"

James: "We know"

Qrow :"Oh! Oh, you know. Well, thank goodness I'm out there risking my life to keep you all informed!"

James: "*sigh* Qrow!"

Qrow: "Communication's a two way street pal" He pulled out his scroll "You see this? That's the send button"

Winter: "They had reason to assume you've been compromised"

Qrow: "And I have reason to assume you don't need to be here. Seriously, who invited her?"

James: "Schnee, we'll discuss this incident back on my ship"

Winter: "But sir..."

James: "Winter, leave"

Winter: "Yes sir" she saluted and went back to the elevator

James: "Go on"

Qrow: "Your little infiltrator isn't just another pawn. They're the one responsible for Autumn's condition"

Glynda: "What?"

Qrow: "Despite what the world thinks, we're not just teachers, or generals, or headmasters or even scientists. The people in this room, the leaders of the other two academies, we're the ones that keep the world safe from the evils no one even knows about! It's why we meet behind closed doors, why we work in the shadows. So you tell me, James, when you brought your army to Vale, did you think you were being discreet, or did you just not give a damn?!"

Elly: "Qrow, calm down"

James: "Discreet wasn't working. I'm here because this is what was necessary"

Qrow: "You're here because Ozpin wanted you here! He made you a part of this inner circle and opened your eyes to the real fight that's in front of us!"

James: "And I am grateful"

Qrow: "Oh, well, you've got a real funny way of showing it"

James: "The people of Vale needed someone to protect then, someone who would act. When they look to the sky and see my fleet, they feel safe, and our enemies will feel our strength" Qrow laughed

Qrow: "You... You think they're scared of your little ships? I've been out there and I've seen the things she's made, and let me tell you, they are fear"

Ozpin: "And fear will bring the Grimm. A guardian is a symbol of comfort. But an army is a symbol of conflict. There's an energy in the air now, a question in the back of everyone's minds... If this is the size of our defenses, then what is it we're expecting to fight?"

James: "So then, what would you suggest we do?"

Ozpin: "I suggest we find our guardian"

Qrow: "Speaking of guardians, does the kid know about his duty?"

Ozpin: "Yes. I told (Y/N) everything. He can be count as a member of our inner circle"

Elly: "Oz, I know you would assume I panic because he is my son, but are you sure it was necessary?"

Ozpin: "When he and Ms. Rose fought an intruder in CCT Tower he sensed magic from said intruder. He asked me about it and I told him the truth. Elizabeth, I know you don't want him to meet the same fate as Albert but don't worry. (Y/N) is one of the best Huntsman in training I have ever had in Beacon"

Elly: "I hope so... The machine is also almost done Ozpin. When you choose your next fall maiden, we will be ready to start" Ozpin nodded and I, James and Qrow leave the room
