*(Y/N) POV*

Few weeks have passed since the beginning of the year and things were going well for me and my team. We got to beat some people in Glynda's class, go out to some clubs, burn down some clubs. Oh, Ryze and Yang finally went on their date and now they are a couple. Happy them... I just hope Sam will not become a teenage uncle, hehe. Us four are currently  in combat class, watching Jaune getting his ass handed to him by Cardin.

Ryze: "Oi, isn't Jaune kinda... I don't know, too weak?"

Mako: "His posture is bad, and Cardin could easily sweep his legs. Now he is just playing with Jaune like a cat with his pray"

Ryze: "Because Winchester is a small dick asshole. He is a bully"

(Y/N): "What do you think guys?"

Sam: "Someone needs to teach him about life"

Ryze: "Jaune or Cardin?"

Sam: "Both of them" We looked back to the fight

Cardin: "This is the part where you lose"

Jaune: "Over my dead..." Cardin kneed him in the stomach

As Jaune was lying on the ground, Cardin raised his mace ready to hit him. That's before Sam's vines get around Cardin's weapon and later we hear a buzzer. The light comes on as Glynda walks to the front

Glynda: "Mr.Kiryuin, please don't intervene in your colleagues's fights next time"

Sam: "Of course, Professor Goodwitch"

Glynda: "Students, as you can see, Mr.Arc's Aura has now dropped into the red. In a tournament styled duel, this would indicate that Jaune is no longer fit for battle, and that the official may call the match"

I turned to my right to see Pyrrha, clearly upset at Jaune lying on the floor

Glynda: "Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now. Please try to refer to your scroll during combat. Gauging your Aura will help you decide when it's appropriate to attack, or when it is better to move to a more... defensive strategy. We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowolf, now, would we?"

Cardin: "Speak for yourself..."

Ryze: "See, I told you. Asshole with small dick" he whispered to our group

Glynda: "Remember, everyone. The Vytal Festival is only a few months away. It won't be long before students from other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing!" I looked at 3/4 of Team RWBY to see girls all excited "Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale" Then a bell rang, signalling the end of class. I looked back at Pyrrha to see she still have the same upset face. I put a hand on her shoulder and nodded. She catch up with what I'm offering and nodded too

*Timeskip*

It's time for lunch now and we were all in the cafeteria. Nora was telling everyone a story. Yang seemed very interested in the story as Ryze was feeding her in the meanwhile

Nora: "So! There we were, in the middle of the night..."

Ren: "It was day"

Nora: "We were surrounded by Ursai..."

Ren: "They were Beowolves"

Nora: "Dozens of them!" Nora stood's up, shaking the whole table

Ren: "Two of'em."

Nora: "But they were no match... And in the end, Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs!"

Ren: "Ah... She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now" I looked at Jaune to see him messing around with his food, next to him Pyrhha had this concerned look and Ruby was also giving him that too

Pyrrha: "Jaune? Are you okay?"

Jaune: "Huh? Oh, yeah! Why?"

Ruby: "It's just that you seem a little..."

(Y/N): "Like you want to take a swan dive from Beacon's Tower" Ryze spitted the water he was drinking, some of it came out off his nose

Ruby: "(Y/N)!" she lightly slapped my chest while Ryze was cleaning the water from his nose

(Y/N): "What? He looks like he would like to end his..." Ruby put a hand on my mouth

Ruby: "Okay, that's enough" she removed her hand and we looked at Jaune

Jaune: "Guys, I'm fine. Seriously! Look!" he gave us a nervous thumbs up, and then he looked at Team CRDL messing around with a bunny Faunus girl. Me, Ryze and Mako glared at them

(Y/N): "Team CRMS... get ready to throw the trash out..." I whispered and they nodded

Pyrrha: "Jaune, Cardin's been picking on you since the first week of the school!"

Jaune: "Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah... He just likes to mess around, you know? Practical jokes!"

Ryze: "Oi. What he is doing is not called practical jokes. Practical jokes are for example a prank with food wrap in the toilet"

Ruby: "He is a bully"

Jaune: "Oh, please! Name one time he's 'bullied' me"

(Y/N): "He throw your books out of your hands"

Jaune: "It was an accident"

Ryze: "He activated your shield while you were walking through the doors"

Jaune: "It could activate itself. You know it's old"

Sam: "He launched you in your locker. And sorry I was laughing at it"

Jaune: "I didn't land far from the school"

Pyrrha: "Jaune, you know if you ever need help, you can just ask"

Nora: "Ooooh! We'll break his legs!"

Mako: "You can take his legs Nora. I will break his arms!" They fist bumped as words 'Bone Crushers' appeared behind them. I shrugged it off

Jaune: "Guys, really, it's fine! Besides, it's not like he's only a jerk to me, he's a jerk to everyone"

Ryze: "Not us. He tried to mess with Sam and he ended up with..." He was cut off by a cry of pain followed by laugh. We looked to it's source to see Cardin pulling on the ears of the poor Faunus girl, as his team laugh. The rest of our group looked there too

Faunus girl: "Ooww, that hurts!"

Cardin: "I told you it was real!"

Russel: "What a freak!"

(Y/N): "Team CRMS, let's go to work" my team stood up "Excuse us ladies and gentleman" As we were about to go there Ruby hold my hand while Yang hold Ryze's arm

Ruby: "Don't do it guys. They are not worth it"

(Y/N): "Rubes, people like him are the reason White Fang turned out to what it is now"

Yang: "Kick their ass babe"

Ryze: "I will goldie" they shared a quick kiss

We walked to the commotion

Ryze: "Oi, Weinerchester!" Cardin looked around "Let that bunny go"

Cardin: "Look who it is, (L/N) and his merry band. What? You want us to teach you a lesson too?"

(Y/N): "You have two options, Winchester. One, you let that girl go and we will forget about this. Two, you continue your doing and me and my team will teach you some manners" In the response he tug this girl ear one more time while having a confident smile. I breath in and out "You just asked for this... GO!" 

Cardin: "Get them!"

Ryze was taking on Russel, Mako and Sam in the meanwhile were taking care of Dove and Sky, leaving me with Cardin. He threw a punch on me and I just dodged, before throwing a punch of my own, hitting him right in the temple. He stumble backwards, but I didn't gave him any time to catch a breath, landing a punch after punch and avoiding his attacks with ease. He was now on one knee, panting. He looked around to see Russel hanging by his underwear on a flag post, Dove and Sky both tied up by blush and some metal and later at me, while I smirk

(Y/N): "You are a trash, Winchester, and trash should be thrown away. You and your team are representing nothing worth calling you a Huntsman. I'm disgusted to even call you a human. Let me tell you, if I or my team will see you bullying anyone else, we will end what we started. Capiche?" I get my hand on fire, he gulped and nodded "Good boy. Ryze, get that idiot down. Mako and Sam untie those idiots" I picked Cardin by his armor and throw him to the rest of his team "Go, or I let Mako break your arms"

Mako: "Nora, get ready to break his legs if needed!"

Nora: "YES!" Cardin picked his buddies up and they stumble out of the cafeteria. 

Ryze: "Fucking assholes" I spotted that bunny girl

(Y/N): "If he bully you next time, come to us. We will help"

Bunny girl: "Thank you. A-and sorry I troubled you"

(Y/N): "Don't worry. Name's (Y/N) (L/N)"

Bunny girl: "I'm Velvet Scarlatina, nice to meet you (Y/N)"

(Y/N): "Well, Velvet, it was nice meeting you too. Hope to see you around" 

Velvet: "Wait!" I turned around "Are you free this Friday? Me and my team are going out and I wondered if you and your team want to tag along" I looked at *RMS. Ryze was shaking his head as I can see Yang's eyes starting to turn red and her hair gets fiery. Next to her sit Ruby with a mixture of shock, amazement and... anger

(Y/N): "We would like to Velvet, but we are busy"

Velvet: "Oh, I see" she looked behind us "Take care of your girlfriends" she smiled and went on her way out. 

We walked back to our table and started eating like nothing happened. They looked at us shocked

Pyrrha: "You really improved (Y/N). I'm glad to see it"

(Y/N): "Thanks Pyrrha. But it was not only me, Ryze, Mako and Sam also helped" I looked up from my plate "What, do I have some salad between my teeth?"

Jaune: "What? No it's just. You guys beat Team CRDL without breaking a sweat!"

Ryze: "They were weak. I have no idea how you couldn't win against Cardin, Jaune"

Yang: "You showed them how to fight babe. I laughed so hard when you hang Russel on the flag post"

Ryze: "What can I say, anything for you to hear your beautiful laugh" Ruby was still looking at me angry

(Y/N): "Why are you so angry Ruby?"

Ruby: "Oh nothing... so you and that bunny girl?"

(Y/N): "She asked us to go out with her team on Friday, but we refused"

Ruby: "Oh, okay" she get back to her happy self

'Wait, was she... jealous?'

Blake: "Why did you four did it?" We looked at her "Why did you help that Faunus girl?"

Mako: "Blake, I personally hate any type of discrimination, especially for Faunus. I have a little adopted sister and she is a wolf Faunus. We all love her like she is our own. And I would kill anyone who would hurt her" 

Blake: "What about the rest of you?"

(Y/N): "As you heard before Blake, because of people like Cardin, White Fang turned to who are they today. I remember the days where White Fang would organize a protest in Mantle, and they were only walking around with banners and were shouting their postulates. Besides, Faunus are people too. It doesn't matter if you have a tail or another pair of ears. Even better, animal traits are often useful in the field or during a fight"

Blake: "I wasn't expecting that from an Atlesian. Thanks (Y/N), for giving me hope there are still good people living in Atlas" she gave me a satisfied look

(Y/N): "No problem" then the bell ringed and we went on our way to next class. I see Ruby's angry look returned and she was still siting there "Ruby, what's wrong?"

Ruby: "It's just, that girl was giving you a weird look and I..."

(Y/N): "Rubes, are you jealous?" I smirked as she put her hood and turned around

Ruby: "I'm not jealous! Go away"

(Y/N): "Oh, Ruby. I'm sorry. I can make it up for you."

Ruby: "Well" she turned around and put her hood off "C-can you...?" I cut her off

(Y/N): "You want me to pet you on the head, don't you?"

Ruby: "Y-yeah" She looked at me with those big silver eyes, she was just like a puppy pleading for a treat. I couldn't help but go with her request

(Y/N): "You have soft hair Rubes, just like fur" I continued to give her some head pats as she started to nestle into my hand. Her blush now dark red while I get a small blush on my cheeks. I decided it was enough and I got my hand off Ruby's head. Let's say she didn't liked that

Ruby: "Why did you stopped?" she pouted

(Y/N): "Petals, I still have classes to go. I can give you more head pets later"

Ruby: "I hope so. Bye (Y/N)!"

(Y/N): "Catch you later Petals"

*Timeskip, Oobleck's history class*

I get into the class of Doctor Oobleck's history lecture. I choose it instead of Professor Mulberry's weapon crafting. I already know how to do it so I decided to go with history. You know what they say about it. If you can't learn from it, you are destined to repeat it. I got my seat next to Pyrrha as next to her sat Blake. Weiss was sitting behind us and in front of us sat Velvet. Jaune was in the first row opposite of ours and behind him sat Cardin. Oobleck was zooming from one end of the room to another and I wonder how much sugar did he get into his coffee

Oobleck: "Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Right Revolution, more popularly known as the Faunus War, humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus population in Menagerie. Now! While this must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that there are relatively recent events! Why, the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day! Now! Have any among you been subjugated or discriminated because of your Faunus heritage?"

I looked around and saw some Faunus raising their hand. Later I looked to Velvet as she was looking at me. I nodded with a smile and she also rose her hand

Oobleck: "Dreadful, simply dreadful! Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence! I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to White Fang! Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorist believe to be the turning point in the third year of war?" Weiss get her hand up "Yes?"

Weiss: "The battle at Fort Castle!"

Oobleck: "Precisely! And, who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?" Cardin flicked a piece of paper at Jaune 

Jaune: "Hey!"

Oobleck: "Mr. Arc! Finally contributing to class! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?"

Jaune: "Uhh... The answer... The advantage... that Faunus... had over this guy's stuff..." Pyrrha cupped her eyes while I point to mine eyes and later to Blake's hair signalizing a night vision "Uhh... B-binoculars!" he seemed so proud of his answer while the entire class started laughing at him, especially Wieinerchester. Pyrrha facepalms while I rub my temples

(Y/N): "How did he even get binoculars from eyes and hair?"

Pyrrha: "Please... I don't even know..."

(Y/N): "Well, you can't say we didn't tried"

Oobleck: "Very funny, Mr. Arc! Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thoughts on the subject!"

Cardin: "Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier" Oobleck seemed not impressed at his answer.

Pyrrha: "You're not the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin?"

Cardin: "What? You got a problem?" I stood up

(Y/N): Oi! Weinerchester! You want a beat down the second time in one day?!"

Oobleck: "Mr. (L/N)! Please take your seat! Do you know the answer?" I turned to the Doctor

(Y/N): "Of course, Doctor Oobleck. It's night vision. Many Faunus have an excellent sight in dark" Pyrrha smiled and Blake spoken up

Blake: "General Lagune was inexperienced, and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the general was captured. Perhaps if he'd paid attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure" Cardin stood up and I just send him a death glare. We look at each other while I cracked my knuckles

Oobleck: "Mr. Winchester! Please take your seat" Jaune laughed at Cardin "You and Mr. Arc can both see me after class for additional readings"

Jaune: "Ohh"

Oobleck: "Now! Moving on!"

I walk out of the classroom with the rest of Team JNPR, while Jaune get his additional readings assigned. Then, Pyrrha stopped

Pyrrha: "You two go ahead. I and (Y/N) will wait for Jaune" I nodded

We wait for a minute or two. Soon Jaune exit the class. Cardin was ready to push him, that until he spotted me, with tucked up sleeve, ready to start a fire show. Me and Pyrrha glare at him walking out

(Y/N): "I regret not allowing Mako and Nora to break his limbs"

Pyrrha: "At least then he would learn" Jaune sight as Pyrrha's face lighten up "I have an idea! Here, come with me!" She grabbed Jaune's arm and dragged him after her. I just got hands in my pockets and follow them while whistling. I followed them to the roof to see Pyrrha and Jaune standing near the edge

Jaune: "Pyrrha, I know that I'm going through a hard time right now, but I'm not that depressed. I can always be a farmer or something..."

(Y/N): "Oh my Oum... Pyrrha, I was joking with that swan dive in the morning..." she realized what us two were talking about as a look of horror gets on her face

Pyrrha: "N-no!" she pushed Jaune away from the edge "That's not why I brought you here! Jaune, me and (Y/N) know you're having a difficult time in class, and that you're still not the strongest of fighters, so... We decided to help you"

Jaune: "W-what?"

(Y/N): "You are talking to two of the best students from Sanctum"

Pyrrha: "We can train up here after class where no one can bother us!"

Jaune: "You guys think I need help?"

Pyrrha: "N-no! No, that's not what I meant"

Jaune: "But you just said it"

Pyrrha: "Jaune, everybody needs a little push from time to time"

(Y/N): "I'm not gonna lie. I was just about to make a suicide joke"

A/N: Don't be like (Y/N). Suicide is a serious problem. If you see someone of your friends or family have suicidal tendencies, try to speak with them. It could be a small gesture but you can save someone's life

Pyrrha: "Not helping (Y/N). Jaune, it doesn't make you any different from the rest of us. You made it to Beacon! That speaks volumes of what you're capable of!"

Jaune: "You're wrong. *sigh* I-I don't belong here"

Pyrrha: "That's a terrible thing to say, of course you do!" I just realized what he is talking about

(Y/N): "Jaune, you don't say..."

Jaune: "Yes! I wasn't really accepted into Beacon..."

Pyrrha: "Wh-what do you mean?"

Jaune: "I mean I didn't go to Combat School, I didn't pass any tests. I didn't earn my spot at this Academy! I lied! I got my hands on some fake transcripts, and I lied!"

Pyrrha: "What? But... why?"

Jaune: "Cause this is always what I've wanted to be! My father, my grandfather and his father before him were all warriors! They were all heroes! I wanted to be one, too. I was just never good enough"

Pyrrha: "Then let us help you!" Jaune snapped at her

Jaune: "I don't want help! I don't want to be the damsel in distress! I want to be the hero!"

Pyrrha: "Jaune, I..."

Jaune: "I'm tired of being the lovable idiot, stuck in the tree while his friends fight for their lives! Don't you understand? If I can't do this on my own... then what good am I?" Pyrrha went to comfort him but he just moved away "Just, leave me alone. Okay?" Pyrrha's hurt by his words. She looked down

Pyrrha: "If that's what you think is best..." she walked past me with some tears forming in her eyes

'Our redhead spartan have a crush on Vomit Boy. Jaune, you are a dunce...'

(Y/N): "Oi! Arc!"

Jaune: "I told you and Pyrrha to leave me alone..." I punched him slightly " What was that for?!"

(Y/N): "A little punch to the jaw to kick start your brain. Do you really think that I, Pyrrha, your ancestors or anyone here at Beacon got to where they are all alone? No, we had someone to lean onto. To train us. I had my grandmother and Pyrrha, she had me and her father. Ruby and Yang got their father and uncle to teach them. Weiss got her sister, Winter, Ryze and Sam had each other. Where I'm coming with this, is heroes are made, not born. We all had to start somewhere. Let me tell you, before I started to train under my grandma I was a complete garbage. When I first got Mortem I cut a support beam of my grandma's house" He snickered "Next three weeks I was repairing that beam with nothing but a stone, some nails and planks. Remember Jaune, asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of wanting to become stronger. And don't worry about your papers, I'm sure Ozpin won't throw away third best team leader of first year teams"

Jaune: "Third?"

(Y/N): "Right after me and Ruby" I smiled "Rethink mine and Pyrrha suggestion. I can even teach you how to use Mortem. Goodnight Jaune" I started to walk away "Oh, and make Pyrrha cry again, I will cut your dick off" With that I walked inside the building

A/N: "Yeah, we are slowly moving towards the end of Volume I. Next on is a trip to Emerald Forest. See you guys soon!"
