"Remember the last time we played that? It ended with Sophitz and that did not work out well."

"Yeah, but they aren't here," Biana pointed out.

Sophie smirked. "Why don't we invite Tam," she looked pointedly at Biana. "and Linh." she looked at Dex.

They shifted, then Biana realized what that meant. "YOU LIKE LI-" Dex's hand shot over her mouth. It almost immediately retracted.

Dex rubbed his hand on his pants. "She LICKED me!!!!!" Sophie and Biana couldn't contain their giggles.

"Is that a yes?" Sophie asked, picking up her imparter from her bag. Dex and Biana made 'no' motions, pretending to slice both hands across their necks. Even though they were doing that, Sophie told her imparter, "Linh Song." Sophie invited Linh and told her to make sure that Tam came along as well. A few moments afterwards, Sophie, Dex, and Biana were waiting outside Havenfield for their friends. Tam and Linh appeared quickly.

"Hi, guys!" Linh said, giving everyone a quick hug while her twin brother just nodded in acknowledgement. Dex and Biana blushed at their greetings. "What were we going to do?"

"Dex suggested Truth or Dare," Sophie said ominously.

Tam looked at her sharply. "Remember the last-"

"I know. That's what I said. But that is why they aren't here."

"Who aren't here?" a voice asked from behind them. Sophie groaned and spun on her heel.

"You two," she told Keefe and Fitz. "Why are you guys here, anyway?"

"That hurts, Foster. Is it a crime to want to know how Silveny and the baby are doing?"

"Or to want to work on some Cognate training?" Fitz added.

Everyone knew that they had alternate motives, but didn't say anything.

"Welp, Truth or Dare is not a good idea with them here," Tam, always straight-forward, said.

"Or we could just have a no romantic and no competitive rule," Biana replied. Tam looked like he wanted to shoot something back, but bit his tongue.

"Okay, fine." Keefe looked like he wanted to argue that they would be good, but Fitz elbowed him to silence. They walked into the house with a quiet awkwardness hanging over them.

I really hope this time goes better, Sophie wished silently as they settled into the living-room.
