First Place- etherealzaynie I (Jenessa) rate this entry 8.5. All of the requirements set in the contest are met perfectly and your suggestions and advice at the end were sound and polite. Your starting paragraph is strong, instantly giving the reader a feel for what this book is about and starting minds whirring. I feel that you could've kept it a bit shorter, it was a bit too long for a description. Now, if you were to write a prologue, this would be the perfect length! The sentence flow was perfectly varied, throwing short sentences in the midst of long ones to give a more natural and professional tone to the reader. I did, however, notice that your vocabulary was a bit vague in places. The ending question adds a pull of curiosity, polishing the whole thing off with a nagging feel that the reader must know more. Amazing job!
