I thought he was a normal guy. He had a job with a decent salary. He was loving and caring, never lied to me, and never looked that way at other females, considering he looked like a Greek god. Well, that's what I thought until one day I was kidnapped by some weird dark looking creature who claimed that he was a prince of some other dimension and I was his mate, his only weakness.

As he passed by my window every day, I'd steal a quick glance and drool over him. He had the perfect features and the most alluring eyes. Never in my life had I seen someone like him. Almost everyone in the town had their eyes on him. He appeared like the perfect example of an introverted guy. Sometimes, a small smirk would be plastered on his lips when he crossed my house. Those times, I highly doubted if he had caught me drooling over him. One fine day, curiosity got the worst of me and I decided to stalk him. Quickly throwing the hoodie over my head and wearing my sneakers, I got out of my house, creeping behind him.

Oh! How I regretted that decision of mine! If only I knew I'd be abducted to another dimension I'd have been in the safety confines of my home.

My blurry eyes gradually cleared as the pungent smell of alcohol hit my nose. I heard some whispers and loud clanking of metals. My senses grew sharp as I was gaining back my consciousness. I tuned my ears sharp, trying to gauge what was being spoken. Unfortunately, it was all in gibberish. My nose picked up the aroma of freshly ground meat and spices along with a burning smell, which I was not sure of what was being burnt. I hadn't come across such a smell in my life ever. My throat was parched and my mouth ached to taste the drops of water. Involuntarily, my stomach growled loud which seemed to have caught the attention of the crowd. I heard someone shout 'Quiet' when my eyes fluttered open. There was pin-drop silence. The last thing I remembered before falling into a deep slumber was the handsome Greek God whom I had followed and the dark blue eyes with freckles of red. I didn't know how long had passed and it was quite hard to decipher now, as there was no clock in sight.

My heart throbbed in fear and nervousness. The uncertainty of what my eyes would see as I fully open them made me scared to the core. Mustering up the little courage I had, I dared to open my eyes, only to be met with the same pair of dark blue eyes. I gasped for air and quickly averted my gaze. I scanned the unfamiliar surroundings; metal cave brightly lit with fairy lights and yellow lanterns, sapphire and emerald gems hung from the ceiling, a bunch of grass and shrubs grew at every corner of the floor. My feet felt the cold and hard roughened ground below. At the far end of the cave, I was able to see the starry night sky. I breathed a sigh of relief as the sight of the night sky gave me the comfort of home.

Shivers ran down my spine as I felt his cold fingers snake up my arms. I tried to wriggle free but in vain. I glanced back at the captivating eyes. He now had the same smirk plastered on his lips and a glint of happiness visible in his eyes. I noticed a slight twinkle of his eyes and was startled to see a golden rim surround his pupils. His hands slowly made their way to my neck and brushed back my hair. My heartbeat accelerated like a roaring engine, as his soft nose rubbed my neck. Goosebumps happily made their home on my skin, as I felt his cold lips touch the sensitive spot of my neck. I fought back the moan that threatened to slip, at the simultaneous touch of his nose and lips. My hands and feet were tied which made me hard to push him back. I squeezed my palms and shut my eyes tight. Strangely, my body seemed to enjoy his touch which surprised me. After a few moments of his pleasurable torture, he decided to step back.

Just then, I noticed a huge gang of weird dark creatures dressed in metal clothing. Their heads were cleanly shaved and a huge pair of earrings hung from their ears. A large rounded nose ring adorned their nose, with several gold and silver anklets covering their hands and legs. It was hard to differentiate between males and females. All looked the same. Their face was more like humans but dark like the night and emotionless like a robot. This bunch of creatures reminded me of the tribal people from my history textbooks. A strange thing was that the handsome Greek God of mine looked completely human.

The gang parted ways as he strode back to a chair at the far end. They bowed down and muttered "Shia Shey Shia." He sat down with pride and fixed his gaze on me. He gestured his hands at two creatures, one of whom came to untie me, while the other returned with a huge platter of food and kept it in front of me. With the clap of his hands, he dismissed everyone and sat in front of me.

"Welcome to my world, a dimension far off from your Earth," he uttered in his rough voice.

My eyes grew wide as the realization dawned upon me. But most of the things seemed similar to the Earth which confused me more. I confirmed that I was still on the Earth, by looking at the starry night sky. But how would that be even possible, I wondered. The food too seemed like what humans eat. I gingerly picked the meat and chewed on to confirm the same. Surprisingly it tasted exactly like my mom's cooking. I gulped down the red liquid that tasted like a strawberry mint smoothie. My brows furrowed in confusion and he seemed to understand what I was thinking.

"I'm the Prince of this world. You are here because you are my weakness. To put it in simple terms, you are my mate. The very first time I laid my eyes on you, I knew you were mine. I've felt my powers surge high when you were near me. I've got the power to feel every inch of you even when you are afar. With you, I can conquer the whole Universe."

He let out a loud menacing laugh while I gaped at him in shock. I knew I was in another dimension but the powers he was talking about and the mate thing, left me aghast. I stared back blank, waiting for him to explain further. I emptied the whole platter and licked my fingers dry. With a quick peck on my lips, he savored the aftertaste, which I rather liked. He winked at me and proceeded to speak.

"Sharlean is the world of highly intelligent creatures. We, as the other dimension habitants call are the; shapeshifters, mind readers, parasites, vampires, soul suckers, etc. Unlike you humans, we can't reproduce with our own kind. Each time we consummate our relationship with a habitant of another world, our powers to control their whole kind increase manifold."

He took me by my hand and walked to the edge of the cave. My hands in his felt soft and warm and fit perfectly as if it was made for him. 'Did he really mean it? Am I his only weakness? Or am I one among the other mates?' questions whirled inside my head like a raging hurricane. He squeezed my hand in reassurance and replied, "You are my first mate. And will be my only one."

His gaze softened and the familiar golden glint reappeared surrounding his pupils. "I've been in your world for so long that I can feel every human emotion. I guess, now I know what love really means. Let me love you till eternity and shower you with all my power," saying he pulled me into a tight embrace and started devouring me.

As if transfixed by a spell, I stood there, under the starry sky, feeling his hands explore every inch of me followed by his lips. My hands itched to push him away and my heart throbbed in protest. But I was rooted to the spot, a tiny bit of me, feeling the exploding pleasure. Tears threatened to erupt but there was this unfelt feeling of tranquility. This myriad of emotions perplexed me.

He stopped midway and groaned frustrated, "Oh! How I wish to make you mine right this instant."

Pushing away the hair locks from my cheeks, he kissed and stared at my eyes, the golden glint now nowhere in sight. My hands seemed to have got back their strength as I shoved him away from me.

He let out a funny chuckle, "I could have made you mine while you were hypnotized."

Flabbergasted I stood as realization hit hard. I wished to be back at home. My heart desired the comfort of my soft bed. Tears made their way down my cheeks.

He sighed and said, "Listen princess. You are no longer safe on the Earth. Our rivals know you are my only weakness and they will do anything in their power to harm you. I can't risk losing you after my mom," his voice fading.

I witnessed the sad glint in his eyes and fumbled for words. He sat on the edge of the cave and made me sit with him. Throwing his arms around my shoulders he said, "I do not wish to force you. I want you to like me wholeheartedly. I love you princess. Let this day pass, I'll answer all your unanswered questions about me and my world."

I smiled and leaned on his shoulders, knowing very well that this so-called Sharlean is going to be my future.
