"Come on, we're gonna be late to our own party."

"I'm coming. Just take this picture of me really quick." I walked down the stairs to Seth.

"You look stunning Nicole."

"Awh thanks love!" I gave him a kiss on the cheek and posed for him to take my picture.

"Great." He showed me and I didn't hesitate to post it.

"Forget about Instagram, we gotta go." He grabbed my hand, dragging me outside.

"Yeah yeah whatever." I said. He opened the door to the Rolls Royce.

"Did I mention you looked stunning?"

"Yes you did. Now drive, before we're late." I mocked him.

"Whatever you say my love."

"Holy hell, Nik, that ring is stunning! Congrats babe you deserve it."

One of my close friends admired my engagement ring. The love of my life, Seth had proposed last week, and I couldn't wait to become his wife. He wasn't the marrying type, and we've went through hell but I'm so glad he changed his mind.

"Thank you, and thank you for coming I really appreciate it." I hugged her once more before she left to mingle with other guests. I decided to do the same until I found Seth.

"There's my soon to be." He smiled and I gave him a light kiss.

"That's all I get? Usually you don't care to get your lipstick messy." He frowned.

"Yeah, but not today because I don't feel like going to put anymore on."

"Too bad because you're gonna have to." He grabbed my face and pressed his lips against mine.

"Seth!" I said after pulling away, laughing at the pink colored print on his lips, wiping it off in the process.

"Loosen up, I'm gonna do more than just kissing tonight." He winked. I blushed and gave him a quick kiss before walking to the bathroom to re put on my lipstick.

I finished and walked out to my sister who was talking to Seth and Bryan. I snuggled up to his arm and looked up at him, smiling as he looked down at me. There was nothing I loved more than him, and no that my old things are left in the past I've never been so sure in my life.

"Now you guys know I love a good party." A heard a man say. We both turned around to see Roman was here with one of my friends as his arm candy. I couldn't describe the huge knot in my stomach, but I felt like I was losing oxygen fast.

"No fucking way, where the hell have you been?" Seth ran to his brother with the biggest smile I'd ever seen, hugging him so tight.

Roman had disappeared after I ended things, so I wasn't prepared to see him tonight. I actually hoped he stayed away. What didn't make this whole situation better was Roman and Seth being basically brothers.

Roman was adopted at a young age, and ever since then he and Seth were inseparable, and I just had to be stupid and sleep with him.

"Business, carrying on the legacy you know me. Always making moves." We made eye contact and I swallowed really hard, looking at Brianna.

"Joe." She smiled at him, giving him a hug. She didn't make it any better, and she knows I slept with Roman but vowed not to say anything, cause she understood how much I loved John and felt bad about it the whole time. I had been loyal to Seth for this whole year, we're getting married and now he chooses to show up again, and make it complicated for me?

"Wow, congratulations to you, nothing but blessings my man. Marriage is nice." He smiled. Wait what? He was married now?

"Is there something we don't know?" Seth smiled looking at Eva.

"Oh, we're not married." She laughed. "He's talking about his parents. He's such a Momma's boy." I sighed of relief when I shouldn't have, causing everyone to look at me.

"Seth my man, we have so much to catch up on. Excuse us ladies." Roman dismissed them and didn't even bother to look at me once or even speak.

"He's still giving you the cold shoulder?" Brianna nudged me, whispering in my ear. I shrugged and pretended like I wasn't annoyed by it.

"Oh, he'll be fine. Besides I'm not ready to talk to him anyway." I whispered to her. She shrugged and I turned my attention back to Eva.

"Eva! Long time no see, let's talk."

"Look what you've done, im a mf starboy." Brianna pumped her fist to the song that was blaring through the speakers. I heard her, but couldn't stop watching Roman as he whispered something in Eva's ear and she laughed at it, hitting his chest.

I didn't really like the song anymore. It reminded me so much of Roman and how much he wanted to hate it but ended up loving it because I did. We sang it together in the car and he sang along to it. Instead of me, he sung it to Eva this time. What I did notice was he drank more than he used to.

"You're staring Nicole, and you need to stop." Brianna pointed out and I quickly looked away.

"No I'm not." I lied. I never thought in a million years that I could be as open with Brie about this situation, but I was. She was disappointed but knew I loved Seth, so she never told as long as I didn't cave into Roman again.

"Go outside and get some air. You look hot. Not the good kind either." She insisted. I got up and kindly excused myself from the table and walked through the crowd to outside. I leaned against the wall and sighed deeply, closing my eyes.

I stayed this way for a couple of minutes and by time I opened them he was standing right in front of me, giving me that stare that always made me weak in the knees. Before I could react his hands were on my waist and he hugged me tight. I hugged him back and he pulled away too quickly for me.

"It's good to see you again, Stephanie. Congratulations, you're a lucky woman to be engaged to him. Nothing but blessings from Eva and I." The way Stephanie rolled off of his tongue sent chills. Or was that just the wind?

"Thanks Roman." I felt myself tensing.

"You look great tonight. Nice ring by the way."

"Joe?"

"Hm?"

"No hard feelings right? We're friends still?" I stammered. He stared at me for a couple of awkward seconds before smiling.

"Yeah, no hard feelings. But Nicole, I'm not gonna sit here and pretend or anything but we can't be friends. I'm just tolerating you because my brother is your soon to be. Thats it." I watched him walk off.

I didn't know if it was the fact that he was handling the situation so well, or that he basically stated he didn't want anything to do with me that bothered me.
