"So you can shoot lasers out of your eyes? That's amazing it sounds like it's from a sci-fi movie." Hannah comments on the boy's previous violent actions towards the professor's favorite tree.

"Not exactly awesome when I destroy my school," Scott muttered out, he still had the blindfold and Hannah was escorting him to his room. Scott, of course, did not know at all where he was going with not only it being the first time there but he was blinded by the cloth. Hannah, on the other hand, could find her way around with her eyes closed and backward. She's always proud to mention it. She held a delicate hand on his shoulder, and the other on his arm making sure he doesn't fall off the path. Scott wanted to rip himself from her grip because he felt so weak being led around. It was like having to learn the ropes to live all over again.

Hannah faltered realizing her mistake. Not everyone was happy with being in the school she realized this not so long ago. Not everyone saw their mutations as gifts. Her gift wasn't as powerful as everyone thought. She could sense the power in others and she could diminish what they have been given. The professor always told her there was so much more to her, but she was fine with what she was now. Power wasn't everything. She didn't care if she could do more or less. She was different, another unique individual, that was all that mattered to her.

Feeling Scott, she could sense the potential he had. She had seen it on the lake and felt it now. The two had become silent, Hannah had got lost in her thoughts and Scott had wondered if he had ruined something that wasn't even something.

"So if you're a mutant too, what can you do? I'm sure you could be in those sci-fi movies." Scott said giving an awkward smile meant for her but just thrown into the air.

"I can manipulate mutations. Take away powers. I'm still learning and trying to better myself. The professor says there's so much more I could do but I'm not sure if I believe that." Hannah spoke. Scott's first impression was that she could cure him of the mutation that had taken over his life so suddenly. It was like an angel arrived at his doorstep to save him. "I wish my powers were cooler, everyone gets to show off, but I'm left with being bombarded. My mutation should really be letting people bother me." Hannah let out a giggle, something Scott got lost in. Her voice was like sickly sweet honey, it warmed it yet it brought shivers to his spine. Her voice felt made him feel as if his knees would begin to buckle. The two had to turn the corner and slightly bumped into the wall. "I am so sorry, Scott." She says holding on to him, she dragged him back from the wall, paying more attention to where she was taking him.

"It's fine," Scott says with a small smile. His mind focused less on the minor bruises from bumping into a wall and more on her. "So do you people ask you a lot to take their mutations?" He questions curiously.

"Yeah it happens a lot, sometimes I don't mind when they ask but then some get crabby when I deny them what they want. One of the burdens of being me." She said in an uplifting voice, sounding so casual than what came out. The two finally came to the room that Scott was to stay in. She opened the door and guided him to the bed. "Do you want me to put away your things for you?" She asks. Scott shook his head with eagerness and laid down on the bed. "Alright, I'll see you later then."

"We'll see if I can see you." The dark haired girl walked towards the door, not without making sure Scott was comfortable.

"If you need anything, don't be afraid to ask. I'll be there."

"Thanks." Scott kept his words short, not trying to embarrass himself further than he thought he did. Hannah smiled though she knew Scott couldn't see it. It made herself feel as though she accomplished something for herself. Making a new friend, someone who needed possible guidance. Someone who could use a helping hand which she was ready to provide.

Scott didn't want to see her as something to use. Her "powers" seemed so intriguing to him. She could be something that could provide him a cure to get out of this school. He'd only need her to agree, but how?

a/n: Hey guys! I'm so sorry I've been so busy these past couple of months but I will try to continue updating. This is sorta a filler chapter but I hope you like it. What do you think of Scott and Hannah so far? Do you think Scott's intentions with her are pure? How do you think she'll react to what he may want.

VOTE AND COMMENT!!! THANKS FOR READING!
