4. New Mission

Have you ever had the worst day and just when you think it couldn't get any worse...SHIT GETS REAL.
Well that's how Baekhyun felt at that moment. After waking up from recurring nightmares Baekhyun had to deal with a migraine and a phone that just wouldn't stop ringing because Tao thought it would be fun to ring him up at 4am because he was shit drunk and thought it was the best time to tell Baekhyun not to be so stuck up.

Then just when Baekhyun is finally about to fall back asleep the little shit calls him again to apologize.
The day was bad enough and on top of that it was the anniversary of his parents death. The worst day of the year for him and he couldn't get a good nights sleep or even a good morning.

Baekhyun was about to scream at Tao again until he heard a familiar deep voice over the receiver.
It was his boss.

Now he had to go to work on his day off. The day was definitely not going his way. He rushed over to headquarters as soon as possible to see Mr Lee in his office.
Mr Lee was a vampire. Currently the one in charge and the last person Baekhyun wanted to see on that day.
Baekhyun had nothing against the man but the less association he had with supernaturals the better.

"I have a job for you and your team" Mr Lee said as he passed Baekhyun a file.
"We just finished our last job yesterday and are supposed to take a week off" Baekhyun said because he was too tired and too pissed off to deal with bullshit on the day he lost his parents.
"I know that but this is a very important job and I need my best men on it. Unfortunately that's you. You are the only one i can trust with this"
"Fine. What is it?" Baekhyun said because in the end he didn't have a choice. It was his job.

He opened the file and saw a picture of a very beautiful woman.
"That is Sandara Park. The vampire princess. She has been under our protection and had been hidden while attending university. The problem is her identity has been exposed and this puts her life in danger" Mr Lee explained.

"What does this have to do with us. Why not just send her home?" Baekhyun asked.
"That's the plan but she needs protection. Flying is too dangerous and she could easily be killed. So you and your team are going to drive her home"
"WHAT? The vampire kingdom is crazy far" Baekhyun responded in shock.
"It will be a two week journey considering all the stops you will have to make but all will be provided. You will also be joined by another team on the way for extra protection"
"We don't need any help"
"It's not your choice. It was a special request made by the Vampire King himself and so you have to work with them whether you like it or not. They are supernaturals so please try to at least be nice" Mr Lee said.
"I will try but I cant make any promises" Baekhyun said as he stood up.
"Be here tomorow at 8am with your team. You head out at 9am" Mr Lee said before Baekhyun left.

"When you asked us if we want the bad news or the BAD news I thought you were joking. This is more than bad news" Luhan cried as soon as they arrived at headquaters the next day.
The team wasnt happy to hear they had a new mission while nursing their hangovers from the day before.
Luhan, Xiumin and Tao were actually at a bar when they got the message from their team leader.

"Why do we have to be the ones to babysit little miss perfect over there" Tao complained as they all gazed at Sandara who stood with her servants Lisa and Rose.
Sandara was the definition of spoilt brat who thinks she is better than everyone. Vampires were known to think of themselves as more superior but she was on her own level.

At first she thought they were food for the way and Tao was ready to wushu a stake into her heart but they were able to stop him on time.
Honestly they were all offended but Baekhyun did promise they would try to be nice even though Sandara was just begging for death.
When it was explained that they were her bodyguards she straight up laughed like it was a joke.

"Wait...You're serious" she had said in shock as Mr Lee further explained that it wasnt a joke.
She couldn't believe humans were assigned to protect her. She said they were too weak but Mr Lee assured her they were the best team he had.
She also relaxed when she discovered they would be joined by another team of supernaturals along the way.
While she was more worried she would be the one who ends up protecting the humans, Baekhyun and his team were struggling not to put a stake through her heart because of her disrespect.

The princess and her servants were in a mini mobile home being driven by Kyungsoo and Suho.
They were the only two they could trust not to murder the woman.
Baekhyun and Luhan were in an SUV in the front leading the way. Tao and Xiumin were in an SUV at the back.
They travelled this way with no problems for two days.

Because vampires are night creatures and can be harmed by sunlight, they slept during the day and were active during the night. The team appreciated the quite days but hated the annoyingly noisy nights.
The blood packs were about to run out and so they needed to stop to buy more and even food for themselves.

Sandara had expensive taste and so it took them half the day to get the right type of blood. Lisa and Rose were quiet most of the time and just did what the princess told them. Baekhyun had a strange feeling as they walked out of the store at sunset. He told everyone to hurry and they headed out.
He noticed eyes watching from the shadows and told his team to be alert because things were about to get bumpy.
