Rey's P.O.V.

We spent the entire rest of the day training, working on different ways to lift it and throw things with the force, it was probably the most fun I've had in awhile. Ben also taught me how to do that pain thing, we've been working on that for a few days and I just finally got it right.

The days have been going by faster and I think I'm going to talk to him about going home soon. I get up from my journal, I just finished logging my last day of progress for bringing him back. Hopefully all will go to plan. I find him outside working, on a ship?

I walk towards him and clear my throat,"um Ben ?"

"Yes Rey" he asks with a bit of annoyance

"Um where did you get this ship from?" I ask out of curiosity

"Is that really what you came to ask me ?" He sighs

I scoff, geeze what's his problem? "No but I would like to know, out of curiosity. "I mumble.

I stand there rocking back and forth on my toes with my hands behind my back like a little kid.
He moves away from the spot he was working on and I try to hold in a laugh by slapping a hand on my mouth. He doesn't seem to notice and continues on.

"I got this ship from a guy in town while you were asleep last night." I nod

"Well uh I figured you were ready to go home and honestly so am I"

I grin ear to ear, and he returns with a disgusted look.

" why would you ask the question to answer you already know, scavenger?" he spits venomously

i stop and stare at him 

" because i miss the base and i didnt want to leave without you, and i thought you might have had a change of heart "i mumbled not even sure of my own words

" i will never change rey, i am not ready to go, i probably will never be ready so if youd like to leave please be my guest" he turns back to the ship seemingly done with the conversation 

" really youd let me go just like that?" i question a little hurt he would say that, but not fully surprised 

" of course i would, i said i would teach you, which i did and im done so if youd like to leave than go ahead, but when my mother tries to make you come back and get me, do me a favor and dont." he spits 

why are you like this you let someone in and then get scared and push them right back out 

" because rey im better off alone" he huffs moving to the other side of the ship

" what do you mean youre better off alone ben, honestly who has stuck that in your head, you are worse when you are alone, you hate yourself the most when youre alone" i cross my arms and move to the other side of the ship to stand beside him 

" whatever rey just leave alright, stop bickering with me youre acting like a child !" he yells at me as he shoves my shoulder making me stumble back

" im acting like a child, oh im acting like a child are you kidding i literally had to play babysitter with you ren, your mother made me pick you up, i wanted to get this over with but you always have to drag things out !" i scream my voice getting higher with each word 

" why did you do it then you rey huh, you dont have to be pushed around all the time you dont have to fix everyone, you just dont deserve it you idiot!" his eyes became black and his face was getting redder by the second and i couldnt stand looking at him having his stupid tantrum

i did it because i love you, y-you sick bastard!

he blinks and takes a few steps back slightly shaking his head 

" no no you dont, you cant " he stutters 

" you dont get to tell me what to do solo, not anymore, you dont want to go home fine but i am, i am going into town for a ship or better yet ill call your mother" i grumble, turning around i march towards 

i try to take a step forward but cant, hes frozen my in place that jerk 

"let me go ren, let me go" i shout wriggling to get out of his force hold 

i hear his boots stomp towards me and see his hand held out a smirk on his face, 

" ben let me go right now" i command 

make. me .

i crane my neck forward and look into his eyes " you will let me go." i say sternly 

" ha like thats going to work on me-"

" you will let me go " i say again but a bit louder

his eyes blacken over and his hold on me releases, i walk towards him and outstretch my hand holding his jaw firmly but hard enough to hold him still, he shakes his head and looks at me with groggy eyes,

" rey?" 

i gently place my lips on his and put my free hand in his hair, i hold the kiss until i feel his lips twitch and take a step back, 

he looks at me, his eyes flash what looks like, confusion, love and lust one after the other 

" why did you-"

" i will be inside rethink your decision and come find me when youre ready to go understood?" 

he nods and swallows hard making his adams apple bob

i walk past him and let the hold go and hear him stumble forward but i keep walking until ive reached the doors 

woah  he breathes

woah indeed benny.

i cant believe i did that, my head is spinning and pangs keep going off in my stomach. where did that confidence come from? i didn't even plan to do that, his lips just looked so... kissable.

yet i feel a bit torn at the fact i had forced him into something, hopefully he'll actually want to head home not because i kissed him, but i mean if he does go home with me i might be able to kiss him more often which is a plus, 

dont think like that rey, that was so wrong, why did you force him to kiss you, but he didnt kiss me back, because you froze him rey. 

i smack my head and sigh 

i shouldnt have done that

I walk to my room, the only noise is the sound of the floor boards creaking as i take each step slowly,  I run my hands across the chipping paint, noticing every small detail of the house. 

The high ceilings, the silvers trim, its all so... homey, welcoming better yet. I stop at the end of the hallway and notice a hologram projector . I turn it on and swipe through the pixelated pictures, the smiling faces, the love they share, I envy it, them, but these are just pictures, I can't be deceived by their smiles.

 The last picture is of the solos, I smile at how happy they look. Han holding leia close with a hand on bens shoulder, leia leaning into Han. They are so cute. And ben, he looked so happy here as a little kid, but he seemed a bit distant. Seeing this confuses me, what happened to him?  Why is he so quick to go home,what did he have that he's trying so hard to gain back?

I hear him walking, coming closer. I scatter and turn the projector off and head to my room.

"Rey are you ok?" I jump not noticing his presence behind me, I turn around and smack him

"You scared me you nerf hearder" I huff and stand back

"Yes, I'm fine , it's just-"

"Just what Rey" he huffs

"It's nothing ben" I turn around continuing to pack up my sack. He sighs loudly, rather obnoxiously I would say.

He throws up his hands "you know what fine, I don't want to play your games, either tell me or not, what is the matter with you Rey?" He mumbles

"I said it's nothing, I'm fine" I spit, I turn and grab my bag heading for the door. He flicks his hand and the door shuts a few inches away from my face.

"What is wrong with you Rey?" He whispers

"Nothing is wrong, ok?!"I yell turning towards him.

His eyebrows crease, he looks hurt, crap. "Ben I -"

"No you don't get to act this way, you have no excuse, my family abandoned me, I'm tired of being alone i came here to tell you im ready to go home,  So I'm dealing with this once and for all, do you understand me!?"He screams tears in his eyes. 

i flinch and nod at his question

"I'm tired of people leaving me and questioning me, I just want to go home and prove I'm not a mistake" he yells shakily

"Yeah well you're not the only one with problems ren. " he flinches at the name.
I step towards him and slightly push him with my hand
"You're not the only one whose family has abandoned you, honestly" I scoff  "your parents were still in arms reach for you, I've never even seen my parents ren, ever!" I yell shakily, tears pour out of my eyes and I pound on his chest

"Listen you might think you're the only person that is feeling scared or alone right now scavenger" he mocks venomously "but you're not, now grab your shit and get it on the ship, we leave in two hours." He mumbles.

The ship is a tie fighter, is he serious? How are we supposed to fit in this thing? I walk over to him and watch as he loads up our "ship"

"So ben"

"Mhm" he grumbles

"H-how are we supposed to fit in this thing it only has one seat."

He chuckles and runs his hand through his hair his face turning red.
"Well you could always sit with me "

What?! "Like on your lap or something?" I stammer. 

"I mean if it bothers you that much you can stay here scavenger." He whispers smirking at me.

I roll my eyes "f-fine."

I eye the ship, am I really going to do this, it is a little weird to be so close to him, I shrug the thoughts away and shudder
"You coming scavenger?" Ben yells from the front seat, I nod climbing up I stop and look back I'll miss it here, it's absolutely gorgeous. I reach my hand up for him to pull me up, he takes it and situates me in front of him on the chair.

He buckles us up and gets the ship ready to leave. As we leave the atmosphere the ship jerks and I grab his thighs, he lets out a low chuckle and puts his hand on mine. I calm down and flip my hands to hold one of his, I examine his hand and notice how perfectly it fits with mine. I look at him and he looks down and smiles back at me, I look out at the vast space floating around us

" I'm going to miss it back there ben" I mumble

"Yeah?" I nod

"Well maybe one day I can bring you back and we could live there." 
" I m-mean if that's ok with you." He stutters

I laugh "of course."

The silence settles between us, nothing awkward just comfortable, but then I start to think about all the bloody awful things I said to him earlier.

"B-Ben, I um, I'm really sorry for what I said down there, I was just upset, I uh saw pictures of your family and I got jealous, it's childish I know but I wanted to say sorry" he squeezes my hand

"It's ok Rey, I didn't mean it either, I knew it was such a touchy subject for you, yet i brought it up anyway ."

I leaned back into his chest, well that went better than I thought

Oh yeah how did you think it would go, bens snarky voice commented.

I turned my head and thumped his forehead, bloody idiot reading my mind.

"That's just rude " ben sasses

"Uh huh, now take me home ben."

"Where to scavenger?"

"D'qar, its hidden on d'qar"

"Well let's head to d'qar then"
