Rey's P.O.V.

the next day...

I  wake up and lay my head back on the couch and look up at the ceiling, a pain shoots through my head and I wince, I cradle my head in my hands stop, stop, pain pain go away.

"Rey are you o-ok?" I look over at him and see his eyes are back to their golden brown color

" do I look bloody ok to you!?" I whisper yell, wincing at the harshness of my voice

I cradle my head in my hands and take deep breaths . I see Ben through blurred eyes start to stand and go into different rooms pacing  frantically running his hands through his hair. He mumbles incoherent curses and questions under his breath. He stops and I slowly look up, he bends down and crouches next to me.

" Rey" he whispers slowly, " I need to get you to a hospital" my eyes widen and I shake my head slowly.

"Listen scavenger, does m-my uh, your base do they have a hospital, surely they do?"

My eyes widen more "n-no you, I'm, no I'm not giving you the location of the base, n-not yet" he huffs in defeat,

 he snaps standing up, he picks me up by the waist and sits me on the couch next to him. I crease my eyebrows and cock my head in confusion.

He smirks and scoots closer to me, I put a hand on his chest telling him not to come any closer,

"sit still" he commands putting  my hand down,  i put my hands in lap and look everywhere but not once looking at him directly 

He turns my chin towards him "look Rey this is only going to take a second, it w-won't hurt I-I promise"

"What are you-"

"You might have a small headache when I'm done, but  don't move" he says slowly

What's going on her ren? I question him

Please just trust me? He whispers 

I give a sarcastic smile, I've never trusted anyone why did he think he could make me, unless, he trusts me. I nod my head in approval. He places both hands on the sides of my head and touches my forehead with his. I feel his hands start to shake a bit and I let out a gasp, the pain from my head, the blaring in my ears all start to fade as if i hadn't been injured in the first place, the only pain i feel is the upcoming bruise on my spine. 

I look up at ren and see him gasp too but not out of relief like me. He takes his hands off my head and cradles his head in his hands wincing. I watch helpless and confused as tears fall off his cheeks. What just happened, master Luke never taught me that.

I slowly cup his face in my hands sensing my touch he jerks away. I flinch at his aggressive response, reminding me of when we last fought and he showed me no mercy. I start to stand to move away feeling it's best to walk away and leave him be but he grabs my wrist and looks at me through sweat drenched hair.

"Rey please don't leave me." He whispers

and just like that my vision goes completely dark
"No please don't go don't leave me." A little girl screamed at a ship flying away from the sandy planet.
I shake my head, they're gone, you can't leave him like they left you.

I kneel down next to him and grab his face to look directly at me

"Ren what's going on what happened to you" he shakes his head,

"I took your pain scavenger, through the force" he whispers.

I shake my head confused "master Luke never taught me that" he cocks his eyebrow

" seriously, you've been training with that old bat for what a year and you don't know about that at all"

" wait how did you-"

"Listen scavenger I could teach you that and so much more than your lousy master in less than a month" he smirks.

"Listen ren" I mock him, standing up so I'm taller than him.

He looks up at me with a confused expression, he nods slowly and smirks seeming to notice my plan. I back up but he leans forward looking down at my legs and then at my face again in a quick motion he grabs my hips making me fall into him, my eyes widen and I try to get away. I push him harder with my palms but he grips my hips harder and smirks at me.

"What was it you were going to say scavenger?" He taunts.

I push him harder trying to release his grubby hands from my waist,

"let me go and I'll tell you" I whisper venomously, still trying to free myself.

" well it probably wasn't that important if you can't say it anywhere." I huff and cross my arms.

" I was going to say, you've already tried persuading me to be your student ren it's not going to work again" I grumble, turning from him.

He rotates my hips back around so I was facing him again " I'm not going to learn the dark side of the force kylo it's not happening"

He smirks "oh really?"

"Mhm" I grumble

"Well alrighty but let me set the record straight for you Rey, there is no light or dark there is only the force" he looks at me searching my eyes for any change of mind.

"Just the force huh?" I unravel his loose arms off me. " alright ren just the force for um two weeks, you teach me the force and I'll try my best to convince you to come back home where you belong" I stick out my hand and stand up getting myself out of rens grasp.

"Deal?" I cock my eyebrow.

He smirks, "deal" he grabs my hand and shakes it.

"So Rey since we've got that all settled, I'm going to bed to get rid of this headache" he starts to walk away and I stand there confused

"aren't you coming scavenger?" I shake my head

"um is there another room I could sleep in?"

" of course Rey unless you wanted to sleep in my room" He wiggled his eyebrows mischievously. My face grew red

"No kylo, my own room w-will do f-fine." He chuckles and walks away but this time I follow.

A picture of a little girl flashes through my head 

"please don't leave"

she screams, another picture flashes but this time a dark shadowed figure appears 

"you're all alone scavenger, no one loves you and no one ever will." His voice was metallic and cold.

 "That's not true."

 I scream, tears dripping down my cheeks. He smirked under his mask. "Oh but it is" 

he walks closer and stops a few feet away from me.

 "Who are you?" I whisper shakily taking a step towards him. 

He lifts his head up and pulls his hood off his head revealing a familiar silver mask 

" oh scavenger it's me, your worst nightmare and your best dream" he hisses. I clasp my hand over my mouth and feel tears pour harder. I shake my head

 "no"

 "yes scavenger" he steps forward and pulls his saber out, taking another step closer, 

" embrace it" I gasp feeling the air leaving my body.

I wake up with a scream, feeling the sweat stick to me. the bruise on my back pulsating,  I go into the bathroom attached to my room and wipe down and splash my face with water, this isn't happening, it's just a dream Rey.

i  go back to my bed and lie down instantly regretting the decision, the bruise has spread to my entire back and has gotten progressively worse, i need to find ice for this thing. 

i wander down the halls trying my best to navigate through the dark,running my hands on the walls to steady myself, the suit is quiet, a kind of quiet you can only find at three in the morning. a quiet that holds peace but has an eeriness to it, the darkness that enfolds each item, but a dim light from the moon shining through the sheer curtains helping me to figure out where i am.

i find the kitchen and open what looks like a silver cooler, bags of ice sit in it along with water and portable foods. i grab two bags and close the lid gingerly. i tiptoe to the living room and grab the bandages from earlier.

as i walk slowly back down the hall, ice in once hand and bandages in the other and remember the dream that woke me up in the first place, i look at my room and at bens and let my curiosity take over me

I walk over to bens room and stand there hesitantly, i shift the bandages and ice into the same hand  before knocking and opening the door. I see him in his most peaceful state, see Rey he won't hurt you. not anymore that is. His hair covers his eyes and his mouth is slightly agape. I walk over next to him" Ben. " I whisper, I shake him slightly "Ben wake up"

He opens his eyes groggily and moves his hair "hm, Rey what time is it?"

" I-i don't know, um you know whatever never mind" I start to turn, this is foolish of me why did I think this was a good idea, i dont even know what i expected in the first place

he grabs my hand "what's wrong Rey" he whispers, i see him glance down at the ice in my hand his eyebrows contort in confusion 

 "What are you going to do about kylo ren " i ask disregarding his concerned look

He sits up with creased eyebrows "rey you can never heal my demons, you never ask for them, they are handed to you i can not simply return them you understand? " 

i nod, " even after snoke is dead and you've completely isolated yourself you still believe there is no way to heal from the wounds he has given you ?" i ask a little torn from the confusion he feels

" even more so scavenger,  killing the supreme leader, killing my fathe- killing han it did nothing but make me sink further, made me realize that no matter what i do to rid myself of my demons it only worsens, the light is useless and the dark is useless, so why not let whoever wants to take over take over, kylo or ben whoever shows is who i am and i have no power to stop them."  he sits up further a wicked grin showing across his face 

" why would you do this to yourself, you have no peace doing this just do whats right and do it for the people that love you." i back up towards the door my anxiety rising, feeling my confusion and his mixing together

" thats the thing rey i have no one to have peace for, i am merely alive because i am a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things as are you and my mother and everyone else is this putrid galaxy." 

he nods to the ice in my hand, i stand there still shocked at his answer it seems as if hes thought this  conversation through many times

" whats the ice for?" he question nonchalantly, disregarding our previous conversation

i take a step back pulling my hand from his, " you left a bruise on my back" i spit 

and i couldnt sleep, he motions me forward and i oblige, 

 im sorry about that, i give a sad smile " would you like to help me i cant really reach" i ask sheepishly not really wanting his help but knowing if i didnt ask it wouldnt get any better

he looks taken back but understands " sit down" he commands 

i do so and hand him the ice and bandages, its alright rey its ok to get help hes not going to do anything 

he chuckles quietly that is if you want me to do something scavenger he purrs in the front of my mind

my eyes practically pop out of my head," just help wrap me up ren" i spit

he smirks " of course of course"

i go to lift up my shirt and pause, im completely nude under this how is this supposed to work, " you know i just remembered something ill just take these and head back to my room"  i go to reach for the ice and he pulls away 

" you asked for my help so here i am to help" he chuckled 

i sighed , you preverted bastard, 

only for you, he smirks 

i look up at him and narrow my eyes , turn around

he did so and i swiftly pulled my shirt over my head and threw it to the ground, i pulled the blanket up to my chest and lay on my stomach " can we hurry this up, i dont want to be in here longer than i have to" 

" of course youre majesty" he says sarcastically 

he looks down at my back and hisses out of disgust " what whats the matter?" 

" its nothing its just im so sorry"

" what why how bad is it?" i question anxiety rising in my voice, i whip my neck around and see a bit of my back of deep purple and yellow

" oh my maker ren" what did you do?!

i said i was sorry! 

i sigh and lay my face into the pillow, i breathe in and it smells just like him, what am i doing why am i sniffing his pillow?

he lays the ice on my back and i let out a small moan relishing in the coldness of the ice, pain and relief shoot through my back when he lays the bandage on my back, pulling it to my stomach to hold the ice in place.

" sit up i have to wrap this around you, my eyes are closed so youre going to have to move the blanket when i get there " 

"ren?" i spit 

" do you want to finish this or not?" 

i huff and comply looking to see if his eyes are closed and sure enough they are, i drop the blanket suddenly self conscious of being this nude while the enemy is right next to me. this is going to be some rescue mission if this is how its starting 

he wraps the bandages tightly around my torso the pressure of the ice digging into my back, i blink back tears that threaten to spill

he pulls them around slowly his hands brushing my skin every so often tiny pangs go off in my stomach as he does so , he begins to wrap around my chest and i hold my breath afraid of getting too close to him he pulls the top of the bandage and pins it together making sure it doesnt slip while i sleep. i release my breathe and turn to him 

" thank you ren, this means a lot to me"

he smirks and breaks it letting out a yawn 

i awkwardly shuffle off the bed  tiny shocks shoot through my spine making me cringe, i stand there not sure what to say, but before i have anything to say he lays back down and lays his back facing me

" sleep well scavenger, youll need it for our training tomorrow." he grumbled 

i nod although he cant see me and walk back into my room and lie down, 

what have i gotten myself into?

Hey yo, so I'm so sorry for how long this was compared to other chapters but I hope you still liked it,How did you like it, I hope the time hope it  didn't confuse you, also if you haven't caught on when it's in italics it's usually them speaking through a force bond or it's a dream just wanted to clear that up just in case.
