Locked Out
She stormed into my room without knocking.
She started shouting at me for no apparent reason.
"You haven't washed the dishes. Like I told you."
You never told me to.
"You haven't fed the cats. Like I told you."
They are't hungry yet.
"You haven't cleaned the bathroom. Like I told you."
I did already. Can't you see.
"How do you know they'll accept you, with that kind of writing."
Just leave me alone to study.
"You have to leave at 4:30. And eat dinner before that."
Oh, okay.
"You have to make the salad."
Oh okay. I'll do it now.
"No, you make it at 4:15."
Why. You just said we're leaving at 4:30. So I'll make it now. It's 4:00.
"No, you just said you have to study."
Not now, because you just said we have to leave in 30 minutes.
"No, make it at 4:15."
Okay then let me just study.
"Why are you talking back so much? Since this morning."
Just leave. Please.
"Huh. Gosh."
Thank you.
You should have known this was coming. I'm not a little grade schooler who doesn't know anything about my self. Well I am still full of holes. The entire picture isn't there yet. But please. At least let me have some freedom to do what I see fit.
