Personality: Despite his somewhat chaotic childhood Aiden values order and efficiency. He is dutiful and responsible. However he isn't opposed to a bit of chaos and trouble now and again. Aiden has a grounded perspective on life. He doesn't indulge in flights of fancy and prefers to deal with situations as they are rather than how he wishes them to be. Aiden's loyalty to his family and friends is unwavering. He fiercely protects those he cares about and is willing to go to great lengths to ensure their safety and well-being. Aiden carries himself with a quiet confidence. He knows his strengths and isn't afraid to assert himself when necessary, whether it's in combat or in leadership roles. However, he struggles with a short temper which is a result of his fatal flaw (Wrath) especially when faced with injustice or betrayal. His emotions can quickly boil over into anger, especially if he feels someone he cares about is threatened or provoked.

OC backstory: Aiden never stayed in one place very long. His father was always moving from place to place. And while it wasn't for everybody, he enjoyed the lifestyle and the freedom that came with it. During the first few years it was just them, until his father got married to a woman named Alaina Campbell. While his father and Alaina often got into arguments just a few months after their marriage they both cared for and treated Aiden well. Though Alaina tended to be a little more distant.

As Aiden grew he began to see through the mist. He saw things like centaurs and during the night he could have sworn soft golden light emitted from him. His mother though well meaning usually brushed him off, claiming he had an active imagination. His father took him more seriously. Rhys Hawthorne was a son of Loki. Aiden grew up hearing both Norse and Roman mythology (A more censored version though) as his bedtime stories. As he grew Aiden noticed how unlike his father, his mother never seemed to notice the glow.

Eventually the odd things that Aiden noticed grew far too large to just be brushed off. That was when his father finally told him about Apollo. But he was never to breathe a word about it to Alaina. Though Aiden felt bad about it, he agreed, not wanting to disappoint Rhys. During this time Rhys was in communication with Loki and occasionally Aiden would see him around but his father never told him who the man with the scars was.

Rhys Hawthorne would be injured and poisoned while fighting a monster (you can pick which) while he fought it for a time he began to succumb to it. Watching his father's health deteriorate like it did was traumatizing for Aiden. He tried praying to Apollo but Rhys wasn't getting any better. When Aiden asked him about it, Rhys bitterly replied that it was how gods were. There was another monster attack and Rhys died fighting it. He did manage to kill the monster before dying though.

Not long after Rhys's death, a disastrous monster attack happened. The son of Loki had been fighting them off but now there was nothing to stop them. Aiden's stepmother was injured in this attack. He survived due to intervention from Lupa and her pack. Afraid of what would happen to his mother if he stayed, Aiden went with the wolves willingly. (They did not, however, explain the situation to his mother so to the mortals Aiden is a kidnapping case that has gone cold.) He arrived at the Wolf House when he was ten, during the years that Jason was there.

At first Jason would keep his distance from Aiden, both fascinated and suspicious of the new glowing boy. Atp Jason is a bit of a feral boy, having little to no interaction with humans. Aiden in turn is also curious about Jason but for a while he didn't know his name so he just called him Wolf boy. The nickname stuck even after Aiden learnt Jason's name. Jason helped Aiden with his training and in turn Aiden introduced Jason to music and helped him learn to speak before he inevitably had to go to Camp Jupiter.

Aiden arrived at Camp Jupiter a while after Jason, who became his centurion, absorbing Aiden into the fifth cohort. When Jason went missing Aiden was one of the most desperate to find him. Even after the search was dropped. Following a lead from one of Octavian's auguries, Aiden found Percy while he was being chased by the gorgons and led him back to camp. He took on the role of being Percy's centurion and went on the quest to Alaska.

Plot: The plot starts during Mark of Athena, shortly after Aiden returns from his quest to Alaska. He notices almost right away that something is off about Jason, he seems different. Aiden is anxious to see him again but he's also nervous because Jason might not remember him. He does remember now obviously. Aiden wanted to talk to Jason but Jason asked to show Piper around New Rome before he could. Aiden figures out pretty quickly that Jason and Piper are a couple which angers and upsets him.

Since Reyna decides on talking to Annabeth Aiden takes a walk with Percy and Cassidy, a child of Dionysus and a member of the nine. (For more info on Cassidy please check the plot above this). After Leo is possessed and attacks the Roman camp Aiden hesitates but helps the nine escape and escapes with them. He tries to heal Jason afterwards when he gets injured with the brick but after that he starts giving Jason the silent treatment which confuses him because he doesn't remember doing anything wrong. Aiden, Cassidy, Leo and Hazel go to find the celestial bronze. When Cassidy sees Nemesis they see their mother. Aiden sees a strange chimera headed person.

Note, Percy, Frank and Hazel convince Aiden to stop giving Jason the silent treatment because they needed to co-operate to stop Gaia. Aiden agrees and stops giving Jason the cold shoulder though he's still snippy and rude towards Piper. The upside to convincing Aiden to talk to Jason? There's more cooperation and less tension. The downside? Now Aiden and Piper are having a silent war for Jason. Also, I feel like it's worth mentioning, remember the character arc Piper had after BoO?

Well I'm shifting it so she's having it before. And if you don't know what I'm talking about basically Piper is coming to the realisation that all her memories of Jason are fake and they don't actually love him like that. Jason is having similar thoughts now that his memories are back, he likes Piper but he also remembers liking Aiden.

Jason, Cassidy, Aiden, Piper and Percy go see Dionysus/Bacchus in Kansas. All of them minus Piper end up getting possessed but she ends up breaking them out of it. Aiden grudgingly respects Piper for it. Bonding moment for Jason and Aiden later that night (Specifics are up to you) and they end up falling asleep on the crow's nest (Is that what it's called?) part of the Argo II. Since all the crew (Except Jason, bless him) knows about Aiden's crush on Jason, Hedge gets suspicious.

Hedge takes Percy, Frank and Aiden with him to Cato and Phorcy's. Aiden turns into a shark. They get out of there. Also, I'm not entirely sure when it happens but the Roman legion catches up to the Argo II and a battle ensues. While Percy would have an advantage in the books he ends up having to fight an OC of mine, Myra, who is a daughter of Neptune and controls natural disasters. Don't have much for the fight, just that it's cool, terrifying and a bit disastrous. Percy takes Myra under the sea in the battle. He ends up convincing her to let them go.

Aiden goes with Piper and Jason to talk to Hercules (Or Heracles, whatever) I feel like it would be funny if neither Hercules nor Achelous knows which one is dating Jason. Like when Achelous complains about the dangers of dating sons of Zeus he tells it to Aiden instead of Piper. And later when Chrysaor and his crew attacks both Frank and Aiden pretend to get turned into crazy dolphins (But Aiden's acting is better) while Cassidy uses their powers to further the idea that Dionysus is on board.

Anyway, when they finally arrive at New Rome and split up Cassidy and Aiden decide to go exploring the city on their own since neither of them wants to third wheel. In the original book Jason and Piper have a cute picnic. In this book they break up during the cute picnic. Anyway. Cassidy and Aiden get attacked by whatever, they decided to rendezvous at the Argo II a bit early. Just in time bc Percy arrives telling them that they need to go save Nico now.

So that's what they do. The nymphs want Aiden's light and his music powers. And they want Cassidy's chlorokenisis. Afterwards they go face the giants. When Bacchus finally interferes Piper and Aiden are taken out of the fight. Jason, Percy and Cassidy fight Ephialtes and Otis. Aiden shapeshifts to help get the statue up. Percy, Annabeth and Cassidy fall into Tartarus.

Then comes House of Hades. In the days since Jiper broke up and Percy, Annabeth and Cassidy fell into tartarus Piper and Aiden have started resenting each other less, cooperating more. Later in Venice Aiden also helps Frank, Hazel and Nico retrieve barley cakes designed to protect them from poison in the Necromanteion from Triptolemus. Or tries to. He is turned into a plant. In Jason's dream when Reyna agrees to transport the Athena Parenthos after Annabeth sends a message Myra insists on accompanying her. When they go to get the sceptre of Diocletian, Aiden insists on accompanying them. He realised that Cupid/Eros was trying to out Nico. He admitted his feelings for Jason in an attempt to try and get the love god's attention off Nico. It didn't work.

After that Aiden starts avoiding Jason because he's afraid to know his reaction, at the same time he does his best to talk to and help Nico with his sexual identity. He grows closer with the son of Hades who he was previously avoidant of. During their stay with Notus Aiden eventually agrees to talk to Jason about what happened with Cupid though he's still a bit wary. Either way, it goes well and Aiden and Jason are sort of dating now. There isn't much else to say about the rest of HoH. Percy, Cassidy and Annabeth escape tartarus. Reyna and Myra meet the nine on their ship. Nico and Coach Hedge go with the two of them to deliver the Athena Parenthos.

At the start of BoO Aiden goes undercover with Piper, Jason and Annabeth. He shapeshifts instead of being illusioned with the mist. He poses as a young noble/prince. At Olympia Aiden and Cassidy also go to subdue Nike. After reaching Mykonos, Leo, Aiden Frank, and Hazel meet with Artemis and Apollo. Aiden while initially nervous to meet his dad is later angered and upset both because of Apollo's willingness to kill them and because Apollo doesn't remember who he is. Artemis talks to Aiden, Frank and Hazel about the Roman army while Leo negotiates with Apollo. Leo tells Aiden, Hazel and Frank hisnplan. Initially Aiden is against it. He doesn't want Leo to die or to lie to Jason but he realises it's the best approach.

When they head to Athens both Piper and Aiden use their powers to get the Gemini to tell them the truth. And you know how it goes, big fight ensures. Aiden fights with Apollo, Cassidy with Dionysus. Aiden finds Solangelo just in time to witness Octavian's death. Honestly he's not too upset about it, he never got along with Octavian. The camps celebrate their victory together at Camp Half-Blood. Aiden befriends his greek siblings. He goes to college with Jason and they live happily ever after (until ToA happens)

Other:

-I'm sorry but glow jokes are absolutely necessary. I expect they'll come mostly from Leo or Cassidy.

-I feel like it's worth mentioning that at the start Aiden idolised Apollo, he strives to gain his approval but as the story goes on Aiden becomes less disillusioned to the gods tendancies. Especially after Delos. He stops admiring Apollo all together, instead he starts to grow bitter.

-To explain Aiden's glow: Remember how Will essentially willed himself to glow and became a human lamp in ToA? Well Aiden has that too except he can't turn it off. The best he can do is a faint glow.

-Aiden has healing like most Apollo kids except it's weak. He specialises more in plagues/sicknesses.

-I headcannon that due to Apollo's large domain most Apollo kids are more specialised in one of his domains than others. For example, Aiden. He's good at Archery, he's a human glowstick, he has control of sickness but the domain he's strongest in is music. If he concentrates he can even manipulate sound waves to a certain extent.

-Being a child of Apollo and legacy of Loki, he has a very strong sense of when somebody is lying

-Aiden shapeshifts impulsively and often especially during fights though at first he doesn't wanna do it in front of the rest of CJ since he gets those abilities from a different pantheon.

-Aiden is Frank's centurion (I'm not sure if you can have two probatios but if you can take two than Percy's as well but if not Hazel can keep Perce)

-Aiden is either a horrible liar or a really good one and there's no inbetween. Since his father is the god of truth but he's a legacy of the god of lies there's a 50/50 chance that Aiden will be able to pull off a lie smoothly or it'll fall flat

-I feel like it would be fun to see Leo, Aiden and Cassidy flirting as a joke since they're the only single members of the Argo II

-Aiden is 100% a dark Apollo
