Personality: Maeve is certainly cocky and a little arrogant but she is also clever and calculating. Her fatal flaw is her anger, she is quick to snap if the right buttons are pressed. She is less 'I'm going to massacre this village' and more of a trickster with a flare for dramatics really. She relishes in the frustration and anger of other people. She enjoys watching them dig their own grave. But when it comes to the people she cares about, Maeve doesn't play around. She's fierce and protective and doesn't hesitate if she feels that they're in danger. Regardless of wether or not they want that protection, they will have it.

Description/Introduction:

MAEVE, COUNT DRACULA, THE TRIBRID, DAUGHTER OF THE DARK ONE, MARA GOLD.

Death and bloodshed were her closest friends. Maeve thrived on chaos and the unpredictability of life. On fear and thrill of the kill. Blood stained snow and grass and sand and anywhere she dared to venture. It coated her lips and stained her very soul.

Once her heart was bright red and pure but the passing years began to taint it until red faded to a deep black. All that remained was a faint red at the very core, a small ember in the darkness. In time, it would grow bigger once the vampire met a wolf girl with a cloak as red and pure as her heart.

OC backstory: A year after her brother Maeve was born out of a short affair between Milah and a traveler who was passing through the town. That fact was clear from the start. While her parents and brother had dark eyes and hair, Maeve had auburn hair and blue eyes. It was whispered about amongst the villagers though her family did their best to ignore the obvious. At least until strange things started happening, fire mysteriously grew to raging heights, objects moved out of their own accord, glass shattered randomly. It didn't take long to figure out that all these incidents were caused by Maeve whenever she felt a particularly strong emotion.

It worried and frightened her parents, the things that she could do. Milah, while she still doted on Baelfire whenever she wasn't the the tavern, she made a point to avoid Maeve. She was taught not to show anybody her power because if she did she would be taken away by the Duke's men. Though she was young a part of Maeve recognized that she wasn't normal and she scared her parents. Baelfire didn't know enough to see her magic as anything wrong. Milah's "death" didn't affect Maeve as much as it did Baelfire because Milah wasn't around enough for her and Maeve to develop a bond.

Flashforward a few years, Maeve is 9-10. She's playing outside with Baelfire and a few other children. She ends up accidentally revealing her magic and one of the Duke's men saw. She was taken during the night when she was sleeping so that she couldn't use her magic to fight back. Zoso took her personally. Initially she refused to cooperate but neither the dark one nor the duke had patience for her. After some "persuading" she began training with Zoso. He began molding her into a weapon they could use in the ogre war. This took place for a few years, when she turned 13 they discovered another part of Maeve, the werewolf part. She was set free a month or two later when Zoso was killed by Rumplestitskin.

At first she was unnerved by seeing her sweet, moral father as this dark creature but she eventually got used to it. Due to her time with Zoso she was less upset but his evil deeds than her brother. When Baelfire fell into the portal Maeve narrowly avoided slipping in as well. She refused to speak to Rumple for months after that incident. However she also did everything she could do to try and find a way to bring Baelfire back. Maeve witnessed Milah's death at Rumplestitskin's hands but didn't care, if anything, she relished in it. She had a lot of pent up anger and some of it was directed at Milah for being so neglectful.

A another few years and now she's 21. That's when the problem becomes obvious, despite being powerful Maeve was still very much mortal. The same could not be said for Rumplestitskin. Not wanting to lose his daughter, he gave her immortality but it came at a steep cost. It turned Maeve into a vampire. A tribrid. That was the day her reign of terror started.

Plot: Maeve first meets Red while passing through her village. She came to it because of talk about the wolf. Maeve doesn't go by her usual name since she doesn't feel like doing the whole, people flee in terror thing. Eventually she befriends Red and develops feelings for her. She ends up revealing herself when saving Red from the hunters. This causes a rift between them (Mostly on Red's side) due to the horrific things that Maeve had done.

Maeve helps recover and unleash the dark curse onto the realm to find Baelfire. In Storybrooke she works as a cop under Graham called Mara Gold. She's fairly good at the job but usually looks the other way when her father is committing any crimes and is partial towards him if anything happens. Mara has an okay-ish friendship with Emma and Graham. She isn't very likable and her only other friend is Ruby Lucas who she (suprise, suprise!) has a crush on. About midway through S1 the two start dating which makes it slightly awkward when the curse breaks because the feelings are very much there but now they're back to who they used to be in the Enchanted Forest.

Maeve goes in search of Baelfire/Neal. Instead of Snow, it's her that does the spell on Cora's heart and tricks Regina into placing it back into her body. Despite dealing with her own relationship issues she tries to help with Lacey then decides it's a trainwreck and leaves. Between Neal and Red, Maeve slowly starts improving as a person for their sake. I'd like Redracula's relationship issues to be resolved by the end of S2. Maeve goes after Neal in the portal and the two make their way to Neverland together with Robin, Mulan and Aurora's help. S3 goes as usual. Maeve loses control of her powers for a while after Rumple dies. She works with Belle and Neal to get him back. When Zelena comes it can go one of 2 ways. Either she is put under a sleeping curse to prevent her from interfering or she stays awake but her powers are suppressed by Rumple (Against his will). If the curse route is chosen Maeve is awoken by Red when Zelena is defeated. You can choose if Red leaves to go to the Enchanted Forest or not. If yes, Maeve will pay one final visit to Neal's grave and attend the wedding and say goodbye to Henry before she leaves. The book can end here. Or you can have it stretch all of OUAT.

Other:

—Add Rumple and Maeve moments, they've had only each other for centuries, he is the person she loves the most

—Maeve suffered a lot during her time in captivity, they kept her in line through some mental and physical abuse as well as threatening the lives of Rumplestitskin and Baelfire.

—Zoso and Maeve had a weird sort of really toxic father-daughter relationship. Maeve began to depend heavily on Zoso as he as was the only person she interacted with but she also loathed him for taking her, holding her prisoner and threating both her and her family. Zoso appreciated Maeve's potential as a weapon and he could use her training as an excuse to put some distance between him and the Duke. At the same time he could care less about her and often took her frustrations out on her.
