Chapter Five

I got home just before dark and Deidara was the first to approach me.

“Where in Kami’s name where you?!” he yelled and I smirked, crossing my arms.

“I enrolled myself in the Ninja Academy and I got some candy. Then I found out that Shikamaru-kun won’t be home until Monday.” I almost laughed at his surprised reaction. Then he tackled me, and when I hit the ground I groaned loudly.

“My Tiny-chan is going to be a ninja! Oh! Can I train you?” he asked and he rolled off of me.

“No, Hidan is.” I grinned and from somewhere in the living room Hidan screamed a ‘No!’, I sighed. “Besides, I got Mom and Dad to train me.” He pouted and I groaned. “Fine! You can teach me how to be girly.” Hidan and I started laughing while Deidara glared at me.

“I am not girly!” he insisted and I raised an eye brow.

“Have you seen your hair lately?” I mused and he sweat dropped.

“I just like having long hair!” he argued and I smirked.

“Long blonde hair that’s tied in a ponytail… reminds me of a certain somebody… maybe Ino?” I giggled and stood up after remembering I was still on the floor. “Deidara sweep the floor, it’s dirty.” I ordered and he frowned.

“But Sasori just swept the floor an hour ago!” he said and flailed his arms in the air.

“But I see specks of dust everywhere on the ground, and I was just on it making my germs on the floor. Maybe you should also mop it.” I pretended to think about it. “Oh yeah, you defiantly got to mop it.” I smirked when he sighed defeated.

“Fine…” he mumbled and I walked upstairs to my room, but nor before drinking a little sip of blood. I haven’t drunk any in… three days! I felt seriously fine! Maybe that’s the human in me. I don’t absolutely need blood, but I did need some sort of food, for instance, my candy.

I changed into my pajamas and hopped in bed. Tomorrow I was going to the Ninja Academy, at age one month and twenty- seven days. At the pace I was going, I would look fourteen tomorrow. Tsu-sama has been keeping track and she said that every 3.428 days I grow a year older- so practically every three and a half days. I hope I stop aging when I look seventeen or eighteen, but that doesn’t always work out for me.

Sometime while thinking about that, I dozed off into an endless dream.

I woke up at about six in the morning. I had school in two hours. I took a towel and marched to my shower, turning it onto warm. I stripped and got in, letting the water soak into my pale skin. I smothered my raspberry shampoo and conditioner then stepped out into the steamy air. I securely wrapped my towel around me and went back into my bedroom.

I looked in my closet, for something good to wear as my everyday ninja outfit. My clothes were getting the slightest bit tight on me, so I came up with a solution to my problems. I glanced at my clock. I still had an hour and a half. I threw on a pair of sweat pants and a grey wife beater and ran downstairs with a pocketful of money.

“Going to the store, be back in probably an hour, see you later Sasori!” I told Sasori and he nodded. He was always so easy-going, and it was awesome that he didn’t sleep and the other two bakas slept in. I went to the clothing store that was in the center of Konoha.

I started searching racks and racks, trying to piece an outfit together when I finally found the perfect thing. Black skinny jeans that end right above black ninja sandals. A tight long sleeved black shirt that ended right below my bra (which was now hitting a D… holy crap!) and over that a sleeveless open white jacket that ended right below my bum. The jacket was custom made and had two layers that looked like one, the inside being as hard as steel armor but as light as cotton. It also had a few pockets for kunai and shuriken so I didn’t have to wear a weapons pouch. The hems of the jacket were metallic silver.

By the time I got home and changed I only had twenty minutes left. I finished my basic hygiene stuff and started cutting my hair. I cut it where it was long in the back, about to my waist, and short in the front; to my boobs and I had no bangs. I braided the back of my hair and tied it in a black ribbon. When I looked at the time my eyes almost popped out of my head. I was already two minutes late. I ran downstairs in lightning speed and said a short goodbye to Sasori.

“Be back later.”

I ran all the way to school and made it there in seconds. In the end I was five minutes late. I walked in the building and went to the lady behind the front desk.

“I’m new, I need my classroom number.” I said and she peered up at me. She was a woman most likely in her mid-thirties and she had large round glasses on. Short brown curls framed her face. He nodded and skimmed through some papers.

“Are you Constantine Hatake?” she asked and I nodded. “Room F-2. Your teachers name is Iruka.” I nodded again and made my way down a hall and found room F-2. I opened the room and walked in. Immediately all eyes fell on me.

“Beautiful.” A boy whispered and some other boys said the same.

“So skinny. I’m jealous.”

“Better not talk to my Henji-kun!” A girl whispered to her friends. Iruka looked up from his desk and slightly blushed. Odd. I walked up to him and smiled slightly.

“I am Constantine Hatake, I am your new student.” I told him and he grinned. He stood up from his chair and motion to me to the class.

“Class, this is Constantine Hatake, she will be joining our class this day forward. Constantine, would you mind by telling us a little about yourself?” I sighed, but nodded my head anyway. I looked around the class that was filled with students and I didn’t recognize anybody.

“My name is Constantine Hatake; you must call me that unless I tell you can call me different. I live outside the village. Oh, and a piece of advice. Don’t anger me.” I peered up at Iruka and raised an eyebrow. “Where do I sit?” his eyes skimmed the class and he smiled.

“You can sit by Kiro Henji. Henji, please raise your hand.” A boy in the back with long blonde hair that seemed almost white raised his hand. He had his hair up in a low ponytail and you could see his whole face. There were white with gold tattoos on each side of his temple that looked like a flame. His eyes were a beautiful gold color that seemed to sparkle in the light. He wore a short sleeved white shirt that had a loose neck and a gold symbol on the back. It looked like two halves of a clover that were separated by a brighter gold ribbon looking thing. His pants were loose white capris that ended right below his kneecaps.

I made my way next to him and sat in the empty chair. To my left was this boy that looked like Shikamaru except he seemed more active by the way he was sitting in his chair.

“Now, let’s review what we’ve done this past year so Constantine-san can catch up.” Iruka-sensei said and everyone groaned but me. I wanted to learn, this possibly could help me solve some of the many mysteries that I am trying so hard to figure out.

For three whole hours, Iruka-sensei had us write down notes, listen to audio players, and read out of textbooks. Most of it was about chakra and the Shinobi rules. But finally lunch came and the bell rang. I got up and then was surrounded by people asking me questions about myself. That Henji guy seemed to have as many fan girls as I had boys- which was a lot.

I finally got away from the crowd and walked down the school hallway, trying to figure out something to do. I could get some candy… I was pretty hungry. Or I could hit the library and research, but reading took up more time than I had. Or I could train. I might as well get into the habit of training all of the time. I sighed and made my way outside to the little training area that was reserved for the kids at the academy. The place was deserted so I could train in peace.

I took off my jacket, folding it and setting it to the side, and started with the basics; pushups. When I got to about twenty I was interrupted by somebody clearing their throat. I looked up while continuing my pushups- it was the Shikamaru look-alike.

“Yes?” I asked and he smirked, sitting cross-legged in front of me.

“My name is Nara Simiko. You know my cousin Shikamaru.” I nodded and then stopped doing pushups to take a small break.

“I do know him, what of it?” I asked and he shrugged, looking at a cloud that was passing by. Now he seemed like a true Nara.

“I was just making sure you were the one he talks about.” I tilted my head confused.

“He talks about me?” he glanced back down with a smile tugging on his lips.

“He said you are the only one he can’t beat in Shogi; that you always tie. He also said you were a little sister to him.” I felt myself smile and nodded.

“Well, I guess he is talking about me.” I started concentrating on gathering chakra to my hand. After about five seconds of focusing, a green glow took over my hand. With a satisfied smile, I stopped the chakra and stood up, putting back on my jacket. “I am going to the candy store, I will see you later.” I waved to him and as I was walking away I heard him laugh.

“He also said that all you ate was sweets. I guess you are the girl.” He called out and I chuckled.

I got to the candy store and I saw Tetsushi-san directing a worker to fix the leek. I smiled at him and when he saw me, his eyes lit up.

“It’s you again! I knew you would be back.” He said gleefully. I shrugged.

“I like candy.” I said and put a wad of money on his desk. I got myself a few chocolate bars and a bag of Skittles. Before I left the store, I turned back to Tetsushi.

“My name is Constantine Hatake, Tetsushi-san. You can call me Taintie.” He grinned and nodded. I walked out of the store, but I could still hear him calling out to me.

“Okay, Taintie-san! Have a nice day!” I giggled slightly and plopped a skittle in my mouth. I could tell the rest of the day was going to be a good one. Well, that was until some of the girls from school surrounded me. I sighed and put my candy in my jacket pockets.

“Can I help you?” I asked with a twitch of my eye. The girl in the center seemed to have led the rest of the pack. She had long pink hair that reminded me or Pink-Barf AKA Sakura. She wore a short tight red and white dress that had all of these spiral designs all over it. Just the way she looked reminded me of Pink-Barf.

“Stay away from my Henji-kun!” she screeched in a high pitched voice that was rather un-attractive. I groaned. So she was the leader of his fan girls.

“Seriously, how can I stay away from the boy if I sit right next to him?” I asked, trying to just talk it out with them. If I had to fight somebody, I would. “Besides, he’s not even that cute.” Okay, maybe that was a total lie, but I wanted to get away from the rabid girls. But that seemed to only make things worse.

“Henji-kun is the hottest man alive! He’s super strong, and he even comes from an amazing clan! The Kiro clan is the most powerful clan ever!” I chuckled, and that seemed to make them angry. But, I warned each and every one of them not to get me angry, and I was starting to get beyond irritated. I wanted to eat my probably already melted chocolate, and the reason it was melted was that I had to hide it in my pocket away from these girls.

“I’m sorry, but you must’ve not done your research. It is fact the Uchiha clan were the most powerful. I haven’t even heard of the Kiro clan. And besides, I could beat him so what is he to me?” They all yelled out angrily and I simply shrugged. The leader-girl tried to tackle me but at the last second I used my vampire speed to appear right behind her. She caught her balance and turned around. She tried to throw punches, but I swiftly moved my body out of the way right before she’d hit me. On her last punch I didn’t dodge, but I grabbed her fist. She cried out in pain as I started to squeeze.

“I warned you, all of you. Don’t anger me.” I said quietly but confidently. Her eyes widened in fear, but I was done toying with her. I threw back her fist, causing her to fall on her bum. I stepped around her and the other girls made me a path with fearful eyes. I took my chocolate out of my jacket and sighed sadly as I opened the chocolate mess. It was melted enough to stick all over the wrapper. Luckily nothing got in my jacket. I threw the candy away in the trashcan that was in the school halls and plopped another skittle in my mouth. Since Skittles never melted, I got to enjoy the whole bag before lunch ended.

When I opened the class door, the only people that were in there was our sensei and Henji. ‘Oh great.’ I thought as I walked up to my seat and sat in it.

I was fortunate that we only had a half hour of school left and that Henji Kiro never spoke to me. But that boy and his gold eyes and white tattoos got me very curious of the Kiro clan and their abilities. I would ask mom about it later.
