Elora felt Peter press his Han over her mouth.

"Shhh. Come on! Let's go back." He whispered in to her ear. She nodded, feeling faint.

The walk back to the inn they were staying at was miserable. Elora was on too much of a shock to cry or anything, Peter was trying to be strong but he had seen Edmund just as well as Elora had.

"H-He..." Elora trailed off in silence.

"He's an idiot." Peter muttered. Elora bit her lip and took a shaky breath.

"Yeah."

They walked in silence. The echoing of the words from the executioner was heard just as loudly. There was a thumping sound and Elora retched.

"Nonononono!" She said. She ran past Peter and all the way back to the inn.

"Elora wait!" He yelled. She ignored him and he finally caught up to her just as she pitched forward into his arms.

"I gotcha." He whispered. He carried her back to the inn and laid her in her bed. Then he left to go back to the executioner's block. The guards were leading two prisoners back. Edmund and another man. Peter silently thanked Aslan..

Edmund was led back to the prison cell he was silent as he always was. The prisoner beside him, Ilden, was led too.

"Why weren't we killed?" Ilden wondered. The guards shoved them hard down the stairs. Edmund stumbled and caught himself before he fell.

Pushed back into the cell Edmund listened to the guards.

"Next week we're to take these things back out." One told the other, they walked away. Edmund closed his eyes and sunk on to the ground. The other prisoner watched silently. Edmund was silent most of the time, and he never showed emotion.

Suddenly Edmund began to sob.

"Oh Elora! I'm so, so sorry." He was curled into a tight ball.

When Edmund had stopped. Ilden sat beside him. The two men had become fairly close acquaintances.

"Is Elora you wife?" He asked.

Edmund nodded. Ilden sighed.

"My wife died of pneumonia last year."

"Oh. Do you have any kids?"

"Yes. In fact. Two girls and a boy. The youngest turned three a few months ago."

"Oh, we have two. Arian is three and Eliazer is six months." Edmund smiling slightly.

"Liah is seven, Brennan is four, and Ellie is three."

Edmund bit his lip.

"What about when... when you get killed?" Ilden looked heartbroken.

"They're with my mum."

Edmund was silent, years forming again.

Suddenly there was loud crash and the guards walked in. He looked at Edmund and scowled.

"There's a visitor for ya."
