4. Catherine Eddowes (murdered on September 30, 1888)

Age: 46 yrs

                       It happened on the same day of the murder of Elizabeth stride. It is a rough guess that the butcher might have been roaming on the street of Mitre square and happened to find Kate (other name of Catherine) there. Her corpse was found in the perfect dark part at a narrow passage in the square around 1:45 in the morning. She was lying back,with her throat cut deep, and her clothes were tugged up her waist. At 12:55 that day, she was released from the Bishopsgate police station jail. At 1:30 A.M. three Jewish men Harry Harris, Joseph Lavy and Joseph lawende got a vague glimpse of a woman and a man, perhaps Jack the Ripper. Joseph Lawende, more clear in his view said that the man was around 5 feet 9 inches tall, had around 30 yrs of age, with a little mustache, fair complexion and gave a more mien of a sailor.

Nearer to the site, PC Watkins, a city police was sauntering the Mitre Street and was there for every 12 to 15 minutes thinking that no one could pass through that street without being noticed by him. When he found the body, he immediately rushed to a nearby warehouse where George Morris, a retired police was working as a watchman. After finding the body, they informed to Dr.George Sequira and he found himself there by 1:55. He analyzed that the murderer indeed had some knowledge of Anatomy but may not have proficiency. A door to door search was done and the men were questioned, but they were of no use.
