3. Elizabeth Stride (murdered on 30th September, 1888)
Like all the murder sites, this one was also done in a pitch black region of Dutfield's yard, a narrow region between International Working Men's Association and 42 Berner street. It was 1:00 in the morning when the corpse was discovered. Louise Diemshutz, the leader of the Men's Association found a bundle when he was going by a cart by that site. With the strong wind, he could light the match for clear vision. Finally, in the flickering light, he thought that it might be a woman who was probably drunk. Thinking that it was his wife, he returned back to the club and found her there. he described that incident to other members and asked them to comply him to the scene. They walked through the street and found the bundle. After finding that it was a corpse, their minds reeled with fear and they suddenly started to rush over the streets screaming "police" and "murder". The crowd began to swell to a large numbers as the time passed.
Her face was warm, her body tied down as a bundle with her shoes barely visible, her throat dissevered severely with at least two inches cut in her windpipe. Her pulse was down and seemed presumptuously that she was killed somewhere and brought down there. Later, at around 1:20, Inspector Pinhorn and Dr. Phillips arrived. Dr. Phillips found no sign of life and gave the reason of her death as the severe mutilation of her trachea which gave a painful and excruciating death in a minute or two. The locals were inspected thoroughly, but no piece of evidence was found.
