The Midnight Game

AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT PLAY THIS. 

Ready to play? Here are the instructions.

It must be exactly 12 AM when you begin the ritual or it will not work. 

You will need a candle, a piece of paper, a writing implement, matches (preferably) or a lighter, salt, a wooden door, and a needle. 

If you are playing with other people, everyone will need their own separate materials. 

First, write your full name (first, middle, and last). Then, prick  your finger with the needle, let the blood drop onto the paper and wait until it soaks into the paper.

Now, go in front of your door and place the paper down. Take out the candle and light it, place it on top of the paper. 

Knock on the door 22 times. The final knock must be exactly when the clock hits 12 AM, so be sure to have a watch with you or something to tell time with. 

Then, open the door, blow out the candle, then close the door.

You have just allowed the Midnight Man to enter your household. 

Immediately relight the candle. The game has now began. You must walk around the dark house all night with your lit candle in hand. Your goal is to avoid the midnight man until 3:33 AM. 

Do you hear that whispering? Do you suddenly feel cold? The Midnight Man is near you. Don't worry, he's not that close! 

Oh, your candle went out? Relight it NOW! You have ten seconds to relight your candle. If you fail to do so, create a circle of salt around you and stay in there until 3:33 AM. 

Some people say he stays close to your bedroom and the safest place is your living room. 

If you fail to do both of those, The Midnight Man will hallucinations of your greatest fear and rip your organs out one by one. You will feel it, but you won't be able to react or anything. 

If you are successful in relighting your candle, you must continue to avoid The Midnight Man until 3:33 AM. 

To win the game, you have to avoid The Midnight Man avoid having made the salt circle, and avoid having relighting your candle. 

If you win the game, The Midnight Man will leave at 3:33 AM and the game will end. 

If you lose...let's just say you don't want to lose.

Some DO NOTS while playing the game: 

Do NOT turn on any of the lights during the game.

Do NOT use a flashlight during the game.

Do NOT go to sleep during the game.

Do NOT attempt to use someone else's blood on the paper. 

Do NOT use a lighter in substitute for the candle, it will not work. 

DO NOT CHEAT!! IF YOU LEAVE YOUR HOUSE, YOU BASICALLY GAVE THE MIDNIGHT MAN YOUR HOUSE TO KEEP!

IF YOU CHEAT, THE MIDNIGHT MAN WILL BRING OTHER DANGEROUS SPIRITS INTO YOUR HOUSE.
