The room was quiet. The tension was thick in the air. Everyone's stare was intense.

Shyam Kashyap was summoned to the Ray Industries Head Quarters for a private interrogation based on the four month old bank statement. Anuradha's accident in Scotland and few smaller accident in London had prolonged the meeting causing more loss to the company.

"Can you please explain your relation with the Ray Industry, Mr. Shyam Kashyap" one of the board of directors asked.

"I don't have any relation with the company. They just wanted a bank account to transfer the money before transferring to theirs. So, I gave mine."

"Who are the 'they' you are referring to?" another BOD asked.

"I have my reasons, I will not reveal their name. You may take back whatever amount that has been transferred to my account. I have nothing to do with the money" he said without breaking the eye contact with Anuradha who was sitting right opposite him.

"So, who transferred the money to your account? Do you know them personally?"

"No. I don't know them personally"

Hours of interrogation, Shyam said nothing about who was behind this act. Whether it was his loyalty to the person or is he having some other reason behind his quietness, Anuradha was confused. She requested the Board of Directors to leave as she would like to talk to him personally.

In hope he might say under who's order is he working, she made sure the CCTV were fixed the night before with the speakers to record the audio as well.

"I never thought I will meet you in such way Mr. Shyam Kasyap." Anuradha spoke after the meeting room was cleared.

"But I did, Anuradha"

Was he involved in this even before they met?

"Why did you even agreed to them? Don't you know you will the first to be caught if this matter goes to the police?" Anuradha aaked.

"I know. That's the reason why I have not transferred the money to them yet." Shyam stood up and walked to huge window.

Anuradha waited, Shyam had more to say.

"This may sound really make no sense but it's true that the world is small. I'm Shyam Kashyap, brother in law to one of Raj Chauhan's son. I never had any issues with you nor with your rejection, trust me but my sister was facing a big problem in her life because of the Chauhans.

Raj Chauhan and Kavitha Ray found out that I have spoken to your father about my wedding proposal for you. Taking that as an opportunity, they came after me putting my sister's life as a bait. It was Kavitha who wanted my help, my bank account.

Raj Chauhan and Kavitha Ray knew everything about you and your personal life, including Karthik Manohar Chauhan. They have been noticing you both quite some time and as soon as they found out that you were at Karthik's place they decided to get rid of both of you at once, since you and Karthik have always been coming in their way. Hence, the accident." Shyam stopped and continue to stare out the window.

"But how did my mother and Raj Chauhan know each other?" Anuradha stood behind Shyam leaning on the huge oval meeting table.

"Like I said the world is small and we tend to find the people with same mind set as us quite easily. Just as that, one of them over heard the other by chance and came to a deal to help each other" Shyam huffed and shrugged.

"So......., Kavitha Ray wanted to kill me so she could get the property, is that so?" the unshed tears begun to seep down being unble able to hold it anymore. How could her own mother think of killing her daughter? She felt disgusted to even call Kavitha her mother.

"Though I want to say no but yes, it's your mother and brother's mind behind the money swindling and the accident. Raj Chauhan helped them as it would benefit him as well. Anuradha, I don't mind being put behind bars because I have helped these people do such sinful work. I never knew that they planned to kill you and Karthik and as soon as I found this out, I knew I had to do something.

Please call the police, Anuradha. I'm ready to face the consequences fro being a coward not going to the police when they threaten to kill my sister." Shyam insisted.

A police complain was lodged on Kavitha and Ajay Ray by the board members as soon as Shyam spilled all the names that was involved behind the activity. They were caught within hours under money swindling and attempt to murder charge while Shyam was taken by the police for further interrogation. He was soon left out without any charges on him.

With the video audio clipping as  evidence Kavitha Ray, Ajay Ray, Raj Chauhan and his sons will never be able to get pardon to reduce their sentence.
