DAVID'S POV

"Hun do you realize we have new pups in the palace family wing?" I say to Eve as we lay in each others arms. " It has been years since an actual royal birth. You were the last to give birth to an actual royal heir here and now we not only have our heir back but her heirs as well."

"But unless you do something and let Lewis in on what is going on they will not be here much." Eve tells me as she rubs my chest. "David?"

"What is it you want from me my Queen?" I ask knowing I will give anything she ask.

"I want them here so we can know them. I know Maria and Lewis have a life to live but I want them visiting often." She tells me.

"Eve you know that for them to be here...well it puts pressure on all the wolves not to let out the secret and Lewis is human."

"He is your great half nephew. He carries the genes. He was suppose to be Mary's mate. You don't think he knows or at least suspects? He is not dumb David. Cindy kept journals." Eve tells me.

"Cindy was not able to take her journals with her and she knew she couldn't tell any human our secret, to do so would have cost her her life and that of who she told." I told Eve upset that she would suggest that my half sister would betray us.

"David, you misunderstand. Cindy was my best friend and I know she would never do that but I also know that after her husband died she left her journals to Lewis. Did you know that she also had the same gift of knowing that your mother and her twin had?" She asked me.

"What?"

"Cindy never told you did she?" Eve saw my surprise.

"No she didn't." I said sadly.

"Cindy knew things but it hurt her to know them. I found out because she warned me not to give up hope just before I was captured. She had a sadness that told me she saw things. So I asked. She gave me the will to survive in that pit and even knowing what she said I almost gave up. The night before I was rescued when I was at my darkest I remembered her words telling me when I was ready to give up I had only to hold on one more day." Eve told me with tears in her eyes. "She was never the same after I was rescued. I asked her about it but all she would say was I've seen things."

"I never knew. I mean even when she was with her mate she had a sadness about her but I couldn't figure out why? I don't know why I never figured it out. I knew my parent's shared it and that Dad gained it when he mated Mom. What else do you know about my family that I don't?" I wondered.

"David I grew up around your extended family and then when we met I got to know everyone even better so I know a lot I just don't know what I know that you don't. You have access to my mind." Eve is so precious.

Eve has never hidden anything from me. Anytime she has blocked me there was a good reason and later she would take down all blocks for me to see what and why she did what she did. I learned to trust. I choose not to know somethings because they are to painful for her but once we mated she promised to never hide anything from me and I did the same. When we find the others mind blocked we trust. Only when I don't know where she is and I feel her pain will I break the block. That is my promise to her.

"David we got off the subject. I think she knew Lewis was to be mated to Mary and Maria. I think she knew that Lewis would have to know the truth and that she began preparing him. My guess is if we don't tell him he will figure it out if he hasn't already. If we don't tell him at least some we may loose them or not be able to train them." She tells me.

"Darling why do you feel this way?" I ask. I can't help but think she is remembering something. As I rub her arms and pull her into my side.

"Well shortly before she died Cindy called me. She asked me to look out for Lewis. She didn't say to look out for any of her other grandchildren or even children, just Lewis." I can tell she is remembering something.

I pull her up so I can see her face and begin searching her memories with her. She knows what I am doing and just smiles.

"Oh hun there is no need to be sorry for not telling me. So much was happening at that time and I let her go. I was filled with so much guilt because I still blamed myself for her both mate's death and not being there for her when her husband died. You would have told me if you had needed to and your mind is always open to me so don't feel bad. I love you and trust you. If you feel like it is important to tell Lewis at least some I will. We have always ruled together and you have a wisdom I have come to respect and depend on." I say as I begin to kiss her.

I love spending time with my mate. She knows exactly what I need when I need it.

Hours later, walking to my office I line Bill and ask him to bring Lewis to my office. Eve has decided to spend some time with Maria and the babies so this will be a good time to talk.
