Chapter 23: Rage Against Evil
You were traveling through an open field of tall grass as the moon its light down upon the land, and you came to a stop in the middle of the field as the wind blew by. Smelling the disgusting stench you recognized as Muzan's scent, you drew your blade from your side and watched as from the dark treeline ahead, someone walked out of the shadows and into the moonlight. Furrowing your brows with disappointment, you watched as Upper Moon One, Kokushibo, approached you.
"Have you come to give up your master and your life?" You asked as Kokushibo drew his blade from his side.
"I've come to please my master by delivering your head to him." Kokushibo said as you were unimpressed by his words.
"Then I shall gladly anger him by cutting you down." You said as the winds blew through the fields as its brisk breeze moving the tall grass could be the only thing heard. "Come." You said as Kokushibo broke into a sprint towards you.

Sprinting through the tall grass, Kokoushibo suddenly broke to his right and began to run circle your position as you watched only with your eyes, unamused by his antics. Kokoushibo continued to circle you to try and find an opening to strike with his blade, but being a master swordsman before becoming a powerful demon, he knew even with your unguarded stance that there was virtually no opening for him to strike. Seeing this, his hand was already forced as he returned his blade to his sheath and leaped into the air. Looking up, you watched as he quickly gripped his hilt and began to draw his sword once more as a strong stench alerted your nose to an incoming Blood Art.
"Breath of the Moon, First Form: Dark Moon, Evening Palace." Kokushibo drew his sword and slashed in a horizontal direction as he unleashed numerous chaotic crescent blades flying towards you.
"This novice tricks will get you no where." You said as your right finger tips glowed green and you unleashed your light whip.
Barely moving a muscle, you used your whip to quickly make work of his attacks as the moment the crescent blades came in contact with your whip, they immediately exploded into smoke. Dispelling your light whip and lowering your hands, you sensed a change in his scent and looked to the right to see him slide across the ground with a gigantic version of his blade as he swung it in your direction.
"Breath of the Moon, Seventh Form: Mirror of Misfortune, Moonlit." Kokushibo released his next attack as long-range powerful slashes appeared in the ground going in random directions towards you.
You jumped into the air and easily avoided the entire attack as Kokushibo readied his next form to attack you from the ground. Kokushibo tightened the grip on his sword as it returned back to normal size watched as you floated above the ground and hovered in front of the moon, making his aim that much easier for him.
"Third Form: Loathsome Moon, Chains." Kokushibo quickly slashed the air twice in horizontal directions a storm of smaller crescent blades made its way towards you.
"Poison Claw." You cracked the fingers on your right hand as they glowed a misty green color and you threw your hand forward to unleash a spray of acid.
Once again your acid was more than capable of dispelling his attacks, but the potency this time was enough to continue its travel downwards and towards Kokushibo as the rank one Upper Moon was forced roll out of the way as the acid splashed where he used to stand. Looking over to see the grass and ground slowly melting into an acidic puddle, Kokoushibo looked back to see you flying down towards him with your claws extended, and barely in time, he was able to jump away as you dug your hand into the ground below. Though he landed at a safe distance away from you, he was not able to escape completely as a scar burned on the right side of his face and he winced as he forced himself to heal. Looking over to him with the same stoic face you had since the beginning of this encounter, you pulled your hand out slowly and wiped off the dirt that was on your hand before looking briefly to see it was still dirtied and would probably need water to be washed.
"As I would expect from that mongrel, his lackey's have at least some capability to their combat skills. However, to think he would be able to turn a swordsman of your skill over to his side. You certainly are not the man I crossed paths with." You said as Kokushibo felt a memory of his get prodded by your words. "That man would more likely be the only opponent who would gain the honor of having me draw my blade against his. You are merely second fodder to him." You mocked his skills.
"Silence." Kokushibo said as the grip on his blade tightened and multiple blades extended from the main sword in his hand as he dashed towards you.
Landing back down to the ground, you watched as he quickly stood toe to toe with you and attempt to cut you down with every slash. You would dodge left and right and leap away from any extending attacks that came from his blades whenever he would morph his sword. Growing tired from this farce, you decided to end this battle once and for all and went on the offensive. Back stepping from being cut by the tip of his blade as it extended as far as it could to hit you, you bounced off the ground and flew towards him with your claws thrown forward. Kokushibo managed to see this attack and barely dodge your claws, but you didn't let him get away easily as you unleashed a spray of acid towards him. The poisonous acid managed to spray across his arm and chest. Tensing up from the burning pain he was feeling, Kokoushibo jumped back three more times before sliding to a stop and raised his blade to his own arm. Seeing as the acid was spreading across his flesh, he quickly chopped off the affected part of his arm, and sliced off the flesh from his chest that the acid made contact with. Heavy breaths exited his mouth as he forced himself to regenerate his flesh and arms, and soon he was able to fight once again, though clearly winded from the amount of energy he was having to exert due to the severity of his wounds. In all his battles that he has ever taken part in, this was the most disadvantage Kokushibo found himself in. After gathering himself and readying his blade, you waited to see what attack he would have to offer, but before he could strike, the wind blew through the plains once more, and an instinct caused your attention to be drawn away from Kokushibo and you looked off in the distance the wind was blowing from.
"What are you taking your eyes off of your opponent for?" Kokushibo quickly dashed towards you and was about to behead you with his blade, but the sound of metal crashing together surprised him as he looked to see you had drawn your blade. "So it would seem I am worthy enough of you drawing your sword." Kokushibo said as you glanced towards him.
"Hmph, do not spout such ridiculous nonsense." You said as you quickly swiped him away with great force he had to stab his sword into the ground to come to a stop as he watched you hold your blade out horizontally in front of you. "I could have killed you ten times over with nothing but one hand, but I no longer have time for your antics. Now, disappear without honor, vermin." You said as your demonic energy swirled around you and shined blue. "Dragon Strike." You unleashed a massive wave of demonic energy that ripped through the entire plains towards Kokushibo who had no wear to run.
You watched as your attack barreled its way towards Upper Moon One, but whilst waiting for his death, you heard the distinct sound of a biwa string be played and soon there was a massive explosion from your Dragon Strike coming into contact with something. Walking over to the smoke stack, you swiped the dust away to see a sliding door had appeared and Kokushibo was gone. With another strum of a biwa, the door disappeared as you sheathed your sword and turned your head around in the direction the wind was blowing from.
"Hmmm..." You now had more incentive to continue on your journey as a small traces of a familiar scent filled the air and enticed you to see what was happening ahead.
Meanwhile, Entertainment District
After setting Koinatsu in a safe place after she began to reemerge from the obi she was trapped in, Tanjirou hurried back to the fighting as he could see dust clouds fill the air and the sound of a blade clashing against an object. Tanjirou sprinted as fast as he could and exited an alley to see what was happening and find where Lynn was so he could assist.
"Lynn!" Tanjirou called out her name before covering himself from a gust of wind and dust as he looked ahead to see something incredible.
Tanjirou watched in awe as Lynn and Daki bounced back and forth between the buildings trading blow after blow as they tried to kill each other. Daki would constantly throw her obi belts trying to slice Lynn's flesh, but would always get cut short when Lynn would slice them to ribbons with her blade. After being pushed back by the obi belts towards Tanjirou, Lynn slid to a stop and spun her naginata above her head as she groaned from the impact of Daki's last attack.
"Tch! What an annoyance! Cyclone Burst!" Lynn yelled as she fired another cyclone of wind towards Daki.
"AHHHHH!!!" Daki yelled as she was blown off her feet and sent flying back down the street as Lynn huffed a few heavy breaths after unleashing that attack.
"Lynn, are you okay?" Tanjirou asked as he joined his friend at her side.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Lynn said as she stood up straight and prepared herself to attack. "Listen, we'll coordinate our attacks and cut her up faster than we she can regenerate. Use your Hinokami Kagura breathing and we'll tear her to shreds." She said as another explosion sounded off from Uzui's position. "Looks like he's almost done handling things there. Let's go!" She said as the two readied their blades and watched as Daki leaped out of the smoke towards them.
"Right!" Tanjirou called out as Lynn lead the charge.
Dashing ahead, Lynn blocked the incoming attacks Daki threw at them as Tanjirou followed up behind her and tried to inflict whatever damage he could land on her. Daki now being overwhelmed by numbers, was forced to split half her offense up and fell back to defense as she blocked both Tanjirou's and Lynn's slashes. Just as the half-demon girl swiped away to of Daki's obi's and was about to go for her head, something strange happened. Out of no where, a strange scent filled the air and she heard something coming towards the three of them. Before Lynn's blade could land, three obi sashes suddenly impaled themself into Daki and the one's she was using before suddenly moved faster than before and pushed Lynn and Tanjirou back a step.
"What's going on? The Belts are entering her body!" The two of them watched unsure of what to do.
"No. Are they going back into her? The ones that were split off from her?" Lynn thought as the belts were completely swallowed into Daki's body as she seemed to have a blank expression on her face. "This is it! Our chance!" She and Tanjirou had the same thought as they lunged forward to try and cut her neck.
"I knew it..." Daki suddenly smiled wickedly and with incomprehensible speed, she suddenly vanished and avoided their attacks.
"W-Wha...!" Lynn was beyond shocked at how fast Daki had escaped.
"She's gone!?" Tanjirou was surprised as the two slid on their feet and looked around desperately to find her.
"A Hashira..." The two of them heard Daki's voice as they turned to see her crouched up top on a roof.
"Not good..." Lynn thought as she smelled a stronger blood lust come from Daki and saw her hair suddenly begin to change colors as she had an absolutely pleased look on her face.
"So a Hashira did come, after all! That's great!" Daki said in a wicked tone as verins became more apparent on her body and she seemed to tremble with excitement as she smiled looking at the sky. "That will certainly please my master!" She proclaimed with joy as they were stunned by this sudden change.
"She's transformed." Tanjirou thought in shock as a vile stench hit their noses, and heard coughing and gagging noises come from Lynn as he looked at her with worry. "What an ominous scent. It's making the back of my throat sting with pain! I can't even imagine how horrible it is for Lynn...!" Lynn was having a coughing fit and her face made it clear how awful her sense of smell was being affected, while he turned his sights back on the creepily smiling Daki. "She's gained even more power! But is Uzui with Inosuke and the others? If so, then we can rest easy." He thought as he placed a hand on Lynn's shoulder. "Lynn! While we still can, let's go--!" Tanjirou was cut off by a sudden voice screaming out.
"You guys need to shut the hell up!" Tanjirou and Lynn both turned in shock and horror as they saw a man exit one of the buildings angered by all the noise. "What's the deal with those swords!? You have a lot of nerve, brawling in front of my House! What kind of harassment is this?!" The civilian yelled as more and more people began to exit their homes in confusion of what was going on.
"Oh no! We made too much noise, and people are...!" Tanjirou couldn't even gather his thoughts as more and more people on the street were peeking out their windows and walking outside to see the ruckus.
"Get back in your homes! Get off the street!" Lynn yelled at the top of her lungs to plead with them all.
"I'll have you know that this Hanamachi is viable because we and our clients all follow the rules! People like you aren't welcome here! Now get the hell out of my sight!" The man yelled as Lynn smelled a heavy scent of bloodlust fill the air.
"Why don't you shut your trap?" Daki said in absolute hatred of the human as she looked beyond angered at his presence as Tanjirou and Lynn watched her stand up menacingly.
"PLEASE GET OFF THE STREET!!!!!!" Lynn yelled as she readied herself for an incoming attack from Daki.
"DON'T DO IT!!! DON'T COME THIS WAY!!" Tanjirou yelled as the two of them stood in front of the angered man who stopped in confusion. "STEP BACK!!!" He yelled as the two of them watched in horror as numerous amounts of obi belts rose in the air.
"I can't block them all!" Lynn was in complete panic as she glanced at Tanjirou next to her. "TANJIROU!!!" She screamed and dropped her naginata as she pushed him back into the man behind him and shielded him as Daki unleashed her obi's in speeds none of them could react to.
Tanjirou barely raised his sword up as Lynn jumped into him before the sound of his blade smacked against something and the three were pushed down. The young boy watched in horror as Lynn's eyes suddenly lost all light in them and a huge spray of blood spewed into the air as she was sliced in the back, and even Tanjirou was cut by the obi, and the man lost one of his hands. Seconds later, the street filled with crashes and rumbles as the buildings that lined the streets all fell apart to rubble as multiple civilians were caught in the attack and killed.
"L-Lynn..." Tanjirou could barely breath properly as he held Lynn in his arms as she was completely unresponsive, and behind him the man groaned in pain. "C-Calm down..." He said as the man looked at Tanjirou. "You'll survive! Your arm! Tie it up with some string...!" He said as blood poured from the wound on his shoulder as he looked to see Daki smile before sauntering away amused by her actions. "Come back here...!" He said as he stood back up with his hands squeezing his sword as tight as possible. "I won't let you get away with this! Not after what you just did!" He yelled as Daki stopped in annoyance.
"What? You still have something to say? That's enough, ugly one." Daki said as she turned to him with an annoyed face. "The repulsive have no reason to live, anyway. So you can all just die and rot together. Like that wench at your feet." Daki insulted Lynn and the rest of them as Tanjirou's was frozen in shock and anger of her words as the countless cries of the victims around him filled his ears and Lynn laid on the ground at his feet in a pool of blood.
With an unsurmountable amount of rage, Tanjirou's eyes turned bloodshot and his veins were all about to burst with how much blood was flowing through them and he ground his teeth together while glaring at Daki. Blood poured from his eyes as the grip on his blade was almost about to crush his hilt as he watched Daki smile at her work. Strangely enough in this situation, his mind could only recall a conversation he had with Rengoku.
Flashback
"Sun Breathing?" Tanjirou asked in a confused tone as he sat on a porch with Rengoku as they shared tea.
"Yes. I combed through the records and details that were left by the previous Flame Hashira's, and the mention of Sun Breathing was what came up. It was the first form of Breathing techniques used by Slayers. All other forms seemed to have branched off from that style, as well." Rengoku said as he sipped his tea.
"Really? That's incredible..." Tanjirou said in shock of this information. "Then, could it be that the Hinokami Kagura dance is a part of and connected to Sun Breathing?" He asked as Rengoku put down a diary from one of the previous Flame Hashira's.
"It's possible, but any other information about it was lost from the records or never taken down in detail in the first place." Rengoku said as he smiled at Tanjirou. "However, Young Kamado..." He said with great excitement as he firmly planted his hand on Tanjirou's shoulder. "...I believe you have an even more amazing power. From the information I was able to obtain from my father after making amends with him, its assumed that those who are chosen to wield Sun Breathing are born with a red mark on their forehead. The same one you presumably have." He said while tapping his finger against the mark on Tanjirou's head.
"Huh? That can't be..." Tanjirou said as Rengoku looked confused by his refusal. "I wasn't born with this scar. Originally, it was a burn mark from when I protected my brother from a falling brazier. Later, I inured myself there during Final Selection and that's how it ended up the way it is now." Tanjirou said as he touched the mark on his forehead. "I hear that my father was born with a faint mark on his forehead, but that wasn't the case with me." He said as he looked down in dejection. "I must not be a chosen wielder..." He said with a hint of sadness.
"Well, if you are or aren't, I think what you're doing now is fine." Rengoku said as Tanjirou looked to his superior as Rengoku looked out to the sky. "You are an amazing person who chooses protects the weak. That..." Rengoku patted Tanjirou's back as he looked at him reassuringly. "That is something that you aren't chosen to do, but you choose to do yourself." He said as the two smiled at their deep and reassuring conversation.
Flashback Over
"That's right..." Tanjirou thought as he glared at Daki as she turned to walk away. "Even if I'm not one of the chosen ones...Even if I'm not up to the task..." He thought as more blood seeped from his eye sockets that seethed with rage. "...there are times when I just can't back down! Because in this world, there are those who lack human hearts!" The wind blew as Tanjirou harbored nothing but rage and hate towards Daki as she stood above the buildings looking to the direction of Uzui and the others. "Killing for no reason without a second thought! Without any hint of remorse!" Daki stretched out her legs to leap off after the Hashira, but grew confused when her leg was instead pulled behind her and turned to see Tanjirou had caught up and grabbed her by the ankle. "I won't allow..." He thought as he raised his blade in his right hand across his body. "...that kind of tyranny..." He slashed towards her neck as Daki was still in complete shock. "...no matter what!" His blade clashed with Daki's obi as she was barely able to block his strike and kicked him away while jumping back, ripping her foot off as he had an iron grip on her ankle. "Those lost lives will never return!" Tanjirou spoke as Daki looked back to him as he threw her dismembered foot to the wayside. "They can never come back!" He said as the Upper Moon regenerated her foot and had a frustrated look on her face. "Those made of flesh and blood can't do what demons do. Why would you rob them? Why would you trample over their lives?" He asked as Daki began to feel a strange feeling of familiarity.
"I've heard these words before." Daki thought before a sudden rush of adrenaline surged through her body and memories flooded her mind.
"What do you find so entertaining? What's so amusing about this?" A man's voice echoed in her mind as she imagined two swordsmen, one in red and another in white standing across from her as the memory was fuzzy, yet so clear whenever the one in red spoke. "What do you take life for, exactly?" The man in red asked in a scolding tone as Daki unknowingly trembled.
"Who is that? I don't know." Daki had her hand on her face in confusion as she couldn't tell if the one speaking in front of her was Tanjirou, or if it was the swordsman in red.
"Why can't you understand?" Tanjirou asked as her eyes became blurry and Daki imagined the memory again. "How can you forget?" The man in red asked.
"This isn't me. These aren't my memories. It's the cells!" Daki came to the realization that it was the blood she shared with her own master. "Master Muzan's...!" She thought as her vision remembered the sight of the red swordsman running at her with his blade. "More memories of the cells..." She thought as she was completely on edge now at this point as Tanjirou just stood off against her. "What is it?" She asked confused by what he was doing.
"You were a human once, weren't you? You must've shed tears once, struggling against pain and suffering." Tanjirou said as Daki punched the roof beneath her and cracked it.
"First that bitch and now you! You two really are annoying, rambling on and on like that! I don't remember anything about the past! I'm a demon now, so who cares about that? Demons never grow old. And they don't need money to eat. They don't get sick. They don't die. They have nothing to lose." Daki flaunted the fact that she was a demon to Tanjirou as she stood up straight against him. "Not to mention...we beautiful, powerful demons...can do anything we want!" She said with a wicked smile on her face as she glared at Tanjirou from where she stood.
"Fine. Enough, then." Was all Tanjirou said to her before he moved faster than ever had before, beginning their second round of battle.
"Blood Demon Art..." Daki readied her attack as her obi belts wildly swung around before flying into the air and crossing over one another before falling down towards Tanjirou at deadly speeds. "Eight-Layered Obi Slash!" Daki intended to crush Tanjirou then and there as the young slayer ran at her as she was excited to see him die. "Now, you can't stop this, can you? It's because you're an idiot! This interweaving attack leaves you with nowhere to run. The parts of my body that were split off to take control of this Hanamachi...Now that I'm whole again, my speed is in a class of its own!" The obi's turned to their edges to slice Tanjirou into ribbons. "That ugly wench is gone and you could barely hold your own against my non-Blood Demon Art attacks, so you have no chance now. It's all over for you, isn't it? Farewell! I'm going to slash you, dull sword and all!" She thought that this battle was long over, but Tanjirou continued ahead as he held his sword out horizontally in front of him. "And now, I'll be making my way to that Hashira--!" Her thoughts were cut short when the moment Tanjirou's blade made contact with her belts, it was her obi's that were cut to ribbons as Tanjirou unleashed a violent spiral attack and cut her belts down.
"Hinokami Kagura...Burning Bones, Summer Sun." Tanjirou unleashed his powerful Hinokami Kagura technique as the burning sensation reached Daki and she could even feel the heat radiating from the attack linger towards her in the air as she shut her eyes.
"That hurts! What is this pain?! It's like a burning pain where I received that slash! I can't regenerate like I'm supposed to!" Daki thought as she stumbled on her feet before using her belts to attack Tanjirou, belts that were sliced and singed like the others. "But his wounds must be deep, too! Making such violent moves would normally rupture his body on the spot!" She thought in shock as another belt flew towards Tanjirou at high speeds, but he held his ground as he put his blade ahead and let the belt cut itself in half as blood spewed from the obi. "In the first place, how can he slice my Belt?! When its durability has increased!" She was confused as Tanjirou parried another belt away with his blade, and Daki noticed a dangerous detail in this battle. "My fingertips are trembling. Like with that girl before, too. Is this me?" She thought before she came to the same realization from before. "Master Muzan?" She didn't wanna believe that it was her master's blood that was in fear and made her tremble as she tried over and over to kill him, but Tanjirou cut down her belts each time. "Damn him! Now he's faster than before!" She thought as she launched herself off to another roof. "It doesn't make sense! Doesn't make sense! Don't you feel any pain? Are you human!?" She thought irrationally as she threw more belts at her pursuer, but Tanjirou weaved and parried pass them as he landed next to the demon and before she could block, Tanjirou managed to slash at her neck as her head fell, but something didn't feel right to him. "As if someone like you..." Daki groaned as she had turned her neck into a Belt and softened the blow of his blade to make sure it didn't cut. "...could ever hope to decapitate me!" She spat in anger as Tanjirou tried to push his blade through her Belt shaped neck.
"It's soft. It's too soft for me to cut through." Tanjirou assessed what happened as he struggled with Daki in strength. "It blunted my sword slash by bending and weaving." He jumped back to avoid Daki's other belts as the two of them split away.
"I won't let you get away! You ugly, vile brat!" Daki yelled as she unleashed more Belts from her body.
"There are more Belts now. Thirteen of them. If I dodge them, they might wreak even more havoc." Tanjirou counted the increase of Daki's arsenal against him as he readied himself, but noticed something strange about her. "But for some reason...they're awfully slow." He thought as he began to swipe them away with ease.
"I won't let you cut me! Not this time! Making contact with my neck just not was just a fluke!" Daki yelled, but didn't realize until too late that Tanjirou tactically blocked to gather her belts in one place. "The Belts he warded off his sword ridge are now pinned in one spot!" She was caught off guard when Tanjirou plunged his sword through all the belts and impaled them to the building. "You really think you've stopped me? I'll blow you away!" She yelled as she began a tug of war against Tanjirou to try and blow him away with all her belts. "You think you can pull them tight so you can slash them? But I can let them loose in the blink of an eye! There's no way you can overcome this distance in an instant--!" Daki's words fell short as Tanjirou suddenly flipped forward at unbelievable speeds and began slashing the belts into ribbons as he had already made it to where she stood. "Huh? He slashed them? So fast!" Was in disbelief that she hadn't fully processed what just happened in that instant.
"It's simple. I just have to bring my sword down faster than they can start bending. I can do it this time. I can slash her." Tanjirou thought as he was about cut Daki's head off, unbeknownst to him, Tenseiga was rattling at his side before it began to pulse and resonate with him.
The Tenseiga reached within his soul and in the depths of his mind, there was a faint voice calling out to him as he could vaguely see the outline of a girl. A few moments passed before the voice grew louder and louder enough for him to begin to hear clearly. Tanjirou's movements soon became shaky and weakened, then after Tenseiga resonated one last time, Tanjirou saw that it was his younger sister, Hanako, shouting to him.
"Big Brother! Breathe! Please!" Hanako's voice managed to reach her brother as Tanjirou's senses returned all at once as he gasped for his first intake of breath since chasing after Daki.
Tanjirou collapsed to Daki's feet gasping and desperately taking in as much air as his body needed, as in his fit of rage he stopped breathing all together. All the pain rushed his brain at once as he couldn't even get to his feet and was left barely off the tiles of the roof whole Daki stared down in confusion before standing over him in disgust.
"So pathetic, you humans. Seriously. No matter how much you struggle, that's the best you can do. I'm starting to feel sorry for you." Daki said as Tanjirou couldn't stop coughing up blood as his body took in breath after breath. "That's right. Your wound won't be healing any time soon, so no wonder you've ended up like this." She said as Tanjirou tried his hardest to stand shakily with his blade, but to no avail. "I'll return the favor by slicing your head off!" Daki said with enjoyment as she raised her hand to finish Tanjirou.
Just before Daki could finally be rid of this annoying slayer, a foot suddenly blasted through a huge chunk of her head and sent her flying across the rooftops, even ripping through some power lines before crashing onto a rooftop a few meters away. Standing behind Tanjirou was an enraged Nezuko who had left the safety of her box to protect her brother, and she was so angry the veins in her body were becoming more and more visible as she glared in the direction of Daki. Growing with all her hatred, visions of the night her family was murdered by Muzan flashed in her head as more and more of her power increased exponentially.
"You have a lot of nerve doing that to me!" Daki spoke with poison as her upper half of her head was regenerating and she realized who she was up against. "You! Right, it's you! It's you, isn't it!? The one he was talking about was you, huh?!" Daki said as she remembered being told by her master to locate and get rid of Nezuko who was out of Muzan's control, and the two were about to begin their demonic battle. "Yes! Of course I'll be happy to torture her to death! As you wish!" Daki said as she resolved herself even more to this task given by Muzan.
Moving as fast as she could, Nezuko lunged after the Upper Moon and started her attack with another kick from Daki's right side.
"Is kicking the only thing you know?!" Daki yelled as she used one of her belts to slice off Nezuko's right leg. "You damn bottom-feeder demon!" She yelled as another Belt struck Nezuko's left side, cutting through her arm and slicing her in half as she was thrown through a building and crashed into another that was on the same street Lynn's body was laying in.
Jumping a few buildings over, Daki fell back down to the street and looked down on Nezuko who was trapped under the buildings rubble, trying to crawl out.
"Could you be any weaker? I can see that you've hardly devoured any humans. I wonder how you managed to escape his control." Daki laughed before groaning in disgust as a strong odor filled the air. "Ugh! W-What is that foul smell?! Is it coming from you?! Tch, what a disgusting stench!" Daki wafted the smell as she returned to the joy of watching Nezuko struggle. "You poor thing! Your torso and lower body went their separate ways, didn't they? You'd better not move. A half-developed demon like you can't possibly regenerate right away, I'm sure. We're both demons after all. I won't bully you anymore. I'll absorb you into my Belt, and when morning comes, I'll kill you by exposing you to the sun!" Daki laughed as she had her belts emerge from her back. "Demons killing each other...Such a waste of time! Ahahaha...haha...ha..." She laughed before being thrown off by a strange noise of rubble.

Daki's laugh soon fell silent when Nezuko suddenly stood back up from the ground, regenerated and almost fully intact except for her left arm.
"Huh?" Daki was completely confused and shocked by how she was healed despite her injuries and not devouring humans. "Hold on a second. What's this? She's regenerated her leg. Wait, never mind her leg, how can she be standing? I know I just severed her body! I know that I felt it! I slashed her for sure!" Daki remembered clearing slicing Nezuko in half as she tried to come up with a reason for why she could still be standing, and watched as blood slowly stopped flowing from Nezuko's left arm before regenerating entirely, popping out a fresh new arm. "Her healing and regeneration speed...is...Upper Rank caliber." Daki couldn't believe what she was seeing as the power in Nezuko increased so much, a change began to occur.
Nezuko was trembling with unbelievable amounts of rage and power that she bit through the bamboo muzzle that kept her mouth sealed and ground her teeth together as her body began to change. Her body mass and height increased and looked to be about the same build as what Daki looked like, and leaf like markings began to spread across her skin and a horn sprouted from the right side of her forehead. After the transformation completed, Nezuko now stood head to head, both literally and battle ready, with Daki as the Upper Moon couldn't believe this was the same demon she was just insulting a few moments ago.
"What is this cruelty? This intimidating air? She changed all a sudden." Daki didn't know what to think of this situation anymore as the foul stench from before filled her nostrils again and made her cover her face with her hands. "A-Again, that horrible smell...Where is it--?!" Daki cut her thoughts off when she turned in the direction of the smell, only to be shocked when she saw Lynn standing behind her, face hidden behind her hair. "What?" Daki jaw fell agape when she couldn't believe the person she thought she killed earlier, was standing before her once again, and watched as Lynn slowly raised her hand and pointed her claws at her. "W-Wait...How are you...?" Daki whimpered in confusion.
"...Poison Claw." A green mist shined from Lynn's claws before poison sprayed out from her hand and all over Daki.
Daki screamed in absolute pain as the poison burned her skin and she collapsed to her knees as her skin was melting from her face and other parts of her body. Growling noises could be heard coming from Lynn as Daki looked in shock to see Lynn had changed as well. Lynn's canine teeth were more protruding than before and her claws were sharper and longer than when she had them at the beginning of the battle. What unsettled Daki the most was Lynn's face, and how intimidating it looked with her eyes turned completely red and purple markings spread across her cheeks as a poisonous green aura shined around her. Using a great amount of her own energy, Daki managed to stop the burns and tried to attack Lynn, but now that her demonic blood was in control, Lynn's power was much greater than before as reacted before Daki could do anything and she backhanded Daki across the face towards Nezuko. Daki spat blood as she was turned around to see Nezuko flying towards her with another kick. She used a Belt and sliced off Nezuko's right arm and leg thinking that she could now avoid them, but was stunned when Nezuko instantly regenerated her limbs before slamming her foot down on top of Daki's back and smashing her face into the dirt. Daki was spitting up blood as she looked to see Lynn walk up next to Nezuko as the two demons above her looked down on her with bloodlust. Nezuko pulled her foot out of Daki's back that had a huge hole in it and the two transformed demons smiled as they lost all sense of themselves, and were about to show Daki what true demonic power really looked like.
